He asked questions, looked at examples, and compiled notes so he would be able to weld properly. It took years of begging, but at the age of thirteen the boy was able to gain hands-on experience. He was proven to be a natural at the craft, fixing all sorts of structures on the fly. His stature and flexibility allowed him to weld in the most unreachable of places. The boy’s achievements soon gathered many customers to his family’s business, including Hope’s Peak Academy. Small in size yet large in heart, Shinobu overcompensates his childish appearance through hard work and determination.
