!!Kutaro
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kutaro_945.jpg]]
A boy spirited away to the Moon by the Moon Bear King, transformed into a puppet and decapitated, Kutaro is tasked with collecting the Moonstones and overthrowing Moon Bear King with the power of Calibrus, the magic scissors of the Moon Goddess.

* CraniumChase: Taking damage makes Kutaro's current head pop off, causing him to frantically gesture while the player tries to steer him in the head's direction before it disappears.
* ChosenOne: The Calibrus itself.
* {{Expy}}: Kutaro is essentially one of [[Literature/TheAdventuresOfPinocchio Pinocchio]].
* GoodIsNotSoft: He is surprisingly brutal to the enemies he faces, alongside Pikarina, who encourages it. Of particular note is abandoning General Rat while escaping Snake's body; and General Dog, who offers his Moonstone if Kutaro bests him in playing rough, and ultimately has his brain sliced in half.
* GiftedlyBad: Played with in that the game states that the reason Kutaro is quiet is because his actor was terrible at vocally acting. While his mannerisms come through visually in game, Kutaro himself is so small unfocused and not usually the focus that most of what he does could count as a FunnyBackgroundEvent, such as when Pikarina talks to him during the into to Act 1 of Chapter 2, where he seems more interested in playing with and snipping at the forest animals than listening to her talk about Ezma.
* LosingYourHead: Kutaro has his head torn off by the Moon Bear King in the intro; soon after, he is found by Ying Yang and given a new one with no particular ill effect. Should Kutaro take damage during gameplay, the head will fall off and the player will have a few seconds to grab the head again before it disappears. If Kutaro doesn't have any more heads (up to three can be carried), he loses a life.
* SilentProtagonist: Kutaro, on account of having lost his head in the intro, does not speak for the duration of the game. He does, however, emote quite a bit.
** It's explained in the head collection that the person playing Kutaro's acting was so bad that it nearly ruined the whole production, so all of his lines were cut.
* TheUnchosenOne: ZigZagged; while Ezma and Ying Yang let slip that Kutaro is only the latest of many, many children whom they've tried sending against the Moon Bear King by telling them they're the Chosen One, and that they at this point are quite surprised to see someone get far enough to even be sent off on the quest, Kutaro does find himself the wielder of Calibrus, a pair of magic scissors that are only supposed to be used by the Chosen One.

!!Ezma Potts
[[quoteright:246:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezmapotts_1737.jpg]]
A witch working in the kitchens of the Moon Bear King, she has been plotting to overthrow Moon Bear King by enlisting brave child puppets into trying to steal Calibrus back from the tyrant.

'''Voiced By:''' Rachel Atkins

* CharacterDevelopment: Steadily warms up to Kutaro and becomes more and more kind as the game goes on [[spoiler:which helps foreshadow her true more benevolent form.]]
* {{Expy}}: She can be seen as one to Yubaba from ''Anime/SpiritedAway''.
* ForcedTransformation: [[spoiler:She's actually the Moon Goddess, transformed into a witch by the Moon Bear King, although she does not remember this until a few moments before she is changed back to normal.]]
* GoodIsNotNice: She's a cranky old witch who has sent numerous puppet children to their doom to get Calibrus, and forces them to help her in the kitchen if they refuse, all while constantly screaming and berating them. Nevertheless, her main goal is still to save the universe from the Moon Bear King’s tyranny.
* HairTriggerTemper: She's capable of speaking calmly, but it doesn't take much to set her off into another fit of yelling and screaming.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Emphasis on the jerk early on, but she really does mean well and lightens up as Kutaro proves himself. [[spoiler: Is also this as the Moon Goddess, where she undeniably benevolent but still haughty and short-tempered.]]
* LethalChef: Ezma's cooking is absolutely horrible, and Ying Yang only eats it because there is nothing else. In one of the picture books, she is tasked with making a meal to make the Moon Bear King's minions "happy". To accomplish this, she makes a stew of a number of happy-sounding fruits and vegetables, as well as a secret ingredient. [[spoiler:The soldiers, wary of Ezma's reputation, refuse to eat the stew unless someone else tries it, so Ying Yang reluctantly tastes it for them. Unfortunately, while the stew is excellent, Ezma's secret ingredient is Snake's venom -- the single most poisonous substance in the solar system -- resulting in Ying Yang losing the eighth of his nine lives.]]
* ManBehindTheMan: As the one who sent Kutaro to steal Calibrus and collect the Moon stone shards held by the Moon Bear King's Generals, Ezma Potts is essentially "The one pulling Kutaro's strings" as General Monkey put it.
* UnlimitedWardrobe: Throughout the entirety of the game, she shows up dressed up in various outfits, including knight armor, a ninja outfit, a pirate outfit, scuba diving gear, and a luchador outfit. It's possible that they're all conjured up by magic, though.

!!Ying Yang
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yingyang_2008.jpg]]
Ezma Potts's flying cat, formerly belonging to the Moon Goddess, Ying Yang acts as a snarky guide for Kutaro.

'''Voiced By:''' Kerry Shale

* CatsHaveNineLives: However, by the time the game starts, he's only got one left. He spent seven of them trying to resist the Moon Bear King's rule and raising a rebellion. He lost the eighth [[spoiler:by eating Ezma Potts's stew (seasoned with Snake's venom)]].
* DeadpanSnarker: He doesn't take anything too seriously, often making jokes even in dangerous situations.
* ExpositionFairy: Ying Yang is responsible for providing backstory to the audience, and spends most of the first act explaining what is going on as he flies around and guides Kutaro.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Snarky and vain, yet loyal and helpful.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Has a voice reminiscent of Creator/PeterLorre.
* VerbalTic: Ying Yang pronounces certain words with cat sounds; "magic" becomes "meow-gic" and "moon" becomes "mewn", for instance. He makes every kind of cat pun possible, to the point that there's one in almost every sentence he speaks.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: [[spoiler:He prods Little Bear into taking the dark Moonstone, and starting the story. Its a little odd as well, considering he had no reason at all to do so. It's possible that it was out of jealousy for the Moon Goddess' affections, but it's never really explained.]]

!!Pikarina
[[quoteright:262:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pikarina_6032.jpg]]
The Princess of the Sun, Pikarina was transformed by the Moon Bear King into a pixie when she came to investigate what happened to the Moon Goddess. After being rescued by Kutaro, she assists him in the quest to retrieve the twelve Moonstone pieces.

'''Voiced By:''' Julie Rogers

* BigEater: Whenever something related to food comes along, she's sure to start fawning over it. [[spoiler: This eventually causes trouble for her, as she chows down on a gingerbread house with Kutaro, and she becomes too fat to even see her toes, though this was party because of Monkey's hypnotic gas.]]
* BreakingTheFourthWall: She's one of the few characters to interact with the narrator, and at times makes it clear that she's aware that it's all just a stage production, and that she's just an actress.
* CutenessProximity: Whenever a cute and innocent animal appears, you can expect her to go "Awwwwww!"
* DeadpanSnarker: She's very sarcastic and jokey.
* ForcedTransformation: Transformed into her current state by the Moon Bear King at the start of the game.
* GenkiGirl: She's very vocal and energetic.
* ExpositionFairy: Takes on this role after Ying-Yang stays with Ezma Potts.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's whiny, wise-cracking, hypocritical, pretty violent, and just downright rude (intentional or not) towards nearly everyone in the game (some being more deserving of it than others) but shows genuine concern for others and has her heart in the right place, and tries to do what she can to help Kutaro.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: As her true self, she has a warming aura that makes the outer planets uncomfortable when she visits them.
* RebelliousPrincess: Goes against her father's wishes of letting the moon solve its own problems
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: While her father was content to just let the Moon sort out its own problems, she stepped in to find the Moon Goddess once she heard what had happened.
* ValleyGirl: Talks very much like this, although it seems that it's only in her pixie form. When she's in her normal form, she's a bit more regal in her manner of speaking, although by the end of the game, her speech seems to be somewhere in between. Compare...
-->'''Pikarina:''' ''(Regular form, whilst being kidnapped by Grubs)'' Where is the Moon Goddess!? I demand to know where you have taken her! Ah, unhand me you louts, how dare you!
-->'''Pikarina:''' ''(Pixie form, exiting Tiger's mouth)'' Like, oh my ''gosh!'' That was so totally ''gross!'' I am ''covered'' in Tiger slobber, do you know how much I already pay for dry cleaning!? UGH!
-->'''Pikarina:''' ''(Regular form, after the final battle)'' Hush now, [[spoiler: Little Bear]]. You have a friendship, and that is a ship that can sail anywhere! Once tight, always tight! ''(Giggles)''
* WagTheDirector: There are times where she'll break the fourth wall, which includes speaking to the narrator, or, when she gets plumped up in Act 5, talking about calling her agent and lawyer when Kutaro gets returned to normal and she doesn't.
-->'''Pikarina:''' Omigosh, I'm serious! What about me!? You DO still have my other costume? Gonna presto change-o during the scene change or something? Right!? Hey! Are you trying to wreck my career!? So NOT cool. I have an image. You know what? Tell the manager that I've already called my agent AND lawyer! Tell him!

!!Gregarious T. Oswald

Also known as G, Gregarious T. Oswald is the narrator of the theater Kutaro's story takes place in. He's, of course, never seen physically, but he's the one who casted the show, owns the magical theater, and explains backstory and lore of the moon to the audience. As with any narrator worth their salt, we come to learn a bit about him as he also converses with the characters, and while he's just supposed to be a narrator, he does also help Kutaro along by giving him hints and cheering him on.

----

* AuthorAppeal: The show is his creation, and thus the setpieces become based on things he has HiddenDepths interests in, such as trains and giant robots.
* CoolOldGuy: He's apparently a fairly elderly gentleman, While Kutaro traverses Lake Cedrus in Act two he reminisces about his honeymoon, he makes a point to cherish the memories when "you're as old as I am." This does not stop him from enjoying the proceedings.
* LemonyNarrator: About on par with the Trope Namer, but as an opposing {{Foil}} to Snicket, Oswald is chipper, optimistic and will often get in on the fun of the story he's telling.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Pikarina, she's volatile, insulting, attention-seeking, and often just wants to get to the point; meanwhile he is more even tempered, contemplative, likes to get lost in details, but is never directly seen. To say they two verbally butt heads during the game would be a grand understatement, as Pikarina loves to WagTheDirector or otherwise interrupt his narration. The two are on good terms and behind Kutaro all the way, after all, he wouldn't have hired her if he didn't think she was suited to play her character.

!!The Moon Bear King
[[quoteright:315:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moon_bear_king_7852.jpg]]
-->''I'll devour the whole Moon if that's what it take to get rid of you worms!''\
'''Voiced By:''' Nick Ellsworth

The main antagonist of the story and new tyrannical ruler of the Moon. Once a servant to the Moon Goddess, he overthrew her and established himself as king with the power of the Black Moonstone. Impatient, power-hungry and easy to anger, the Moon Bear King is responsible for all the recent woes of the Moon's people.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: Damn near everyone. Even some of his generals are scared by him.
* AliensAreBastards: Technically he's a stuffed bear from the Moon, but whatever.
* TheAntichrist: Inverted. The Moon Bear King is the complete polar opposite of the benevolent Moon Goddess, [[spoiler:but Little Bear is not.]]
* ArtifactOfDoom: The Dark Moonstone, which drove him to insanity and gave him his power.
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: [[spoiler:After he devours the souls of every last child on Earth, the Moon Bear King becomes a towering monstrosity, larger than his own castle.]]
* AxCrazy:
--> "I don't need love. My subjects and soldiers and the people of the Moon and children of the Earth serve just one purpose -- to feed... my... HUNGER!"
* BadBoss: Incredibly so. He's impatient, uncaring and isn't afraid to strangle his servants who've displeased him.
* BearsAreBadNews: He's a ''real'' nasty piece of work.
* BigBad: Overthrew the Moon Goddess and now rules the moon with an iron fist.
* ColossusClimb: [[spoiler:Inverted, the final boss fight has you ''literally'' cutting him down to size until he's just a head.]]
* EvilCounterpart: Considered to this to the Moon Goddess.
%%* EvilLaugh
* {{Expy}}: He is seen as one of [[WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas Oogie Boogie]].
* FromNobodyToNightmare: [[spoiler:As Little Bear, he was a lonely little cub. As the Moon Bear King, he's a homicidal, power-hungry maniac who steals the souls of children for his own benefit.]]
* HatesBeingAlone: [[spoiler:Little Bear didn't turn to evil just because he wanted to. He just didn't want to be alone.]]
--> [[spoiler:"But without this, I'm nothing. I'd... I'd just be me."]]
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: [[spoiler:Turns out this is what Moon Bear King wanted all along.]]
* IronicEcho: [[spoiler:"Kutaro, will you be my friend? Pals to the bitter end?"]]
* LargeHam: The biggest ham in the story, in all likelihood.
* LastVillainStand: [[spoiler:Takes one once his castle's been destroyed. But it's easy to fight the hero when you're a freaking '''giant'''.]]
--> "So you destroyed my castle. Big deal. Who needs a castle when I am already invincible!"
* NearVillainVictory: [[spoiler:If it weren't for Kutaro, he would have apparently conquered the whole universe thanks to the souls of every last child on Earth.]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:The death of General Dragon only ensured that the Moon Bear King could continue to devour the souls of children.]]
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: There's no guessing who the guy is with a name like the Moon Bear King.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: [[spoiler:Turns into a colossus for the final showdown, after devouring the souls of every last child on Earth.]]
* ObviouslyEvil: He has red eyes, crude patches all over his body and a vicious set of teeth.
* PsychopathicManchild: Acts very immature most of the time. [[spoiler: Which makes sense, since he actually is a child.]]
* ShootTheMessenger: He isn't above choking minions who bring bad news to him.
* ThisIsMyStory: He actually invokes this during the game.
--> "This is my story, so just get to the part where I sound good!"
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: Against the Moon Goddess.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: [[spoiler:He used to be a friendly, cute animal-child prior to his corruption.]]
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: [[spoiler:The Black Moon Stone gave Little Bear incredible knowledge, allowing him to rebel against the Moon Goddess. He also went insane.]]

!!General Tiger
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_tiger_5660.jpg]]

-->''I'll whittle you down to size, you little gnat!''\
'''Voiced By:''' Creator/ChristopherFairbank

The first general Kutaro must face. General Tiger is a giant, well, tiger. He appears to be Moon bear King's right hand man, but is easily taken down by Kutaro in the first Act. He was apparently a complete coward before the rise of the Moon Bear King, and still is, beating the weak, but cowardly serving the powerful.

* AbsurdlySharpClaws: He embeds them in the stone walls of the castle.
* CatsAreMean: He's cowardly when it comes to talking to the Moon Bear King, but he's still a threatening figure.
* EpicFlail: The end of his tail is one. If Kutaro has the Spiked Ball head with him during Tiger's boss fight, it can be transformed into a soft ball of fluff that does absolutely no damage to Kutaro.
* KilledOffForReal:[[spoiler:Gets skinned and made into a rug by the Moon Bear King after Kutaro defeats him.]]
* KillItThroughItsStomach: If Kutaro has the Pikarina head during the boss fight, he can trigger Pikarina (Whom Tiger previously swallowed) to start knocking around in his stomach, stunning him and allowing Kutaro to skip the fight straight to the QTE finisher sequence.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Unintentionally gives away the location of the Knight's powers to Kutaro.
* PaperTiger: He can be tough when he needs to be, but he's actually quite cowardly, and seems to only follow the Moon Bear King out of fear of him.
* TheDragon: Is the only general to actually be seen with the Moon Bear King for most of his screen time. Of course, he doesn’t exactly qualify since he is the first to go down.
* ShockAndAwe: Summons down lighting for a couple of his attacks.
* StarterVillain: The first of the twelve generals Kutaro faces.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Was a cute little tiger cub.

!!General Rat
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_rat_7997.jpg]]
--> ''With just one gulp of Plum Miraculixir, you can kiss the problems good-bye!''\
'''Voiced By:''' James Goode

The second general Kutaro must fight. Rat is the smallest of the generals, which fits his cowardly nature. A true dirty rat, Rat is every shady business man ever, using slick talk to trick the inhabitants of the Moonwood into poisoning them selves with his Plum Miraculixir. Despite his loyalty to the Moon Bear King, as soon as someone more powerful than himself comes along, he immediately gives up.

* ATasteOfTheirOwnMedicine: Literally gets this in Act 2, Curtain 3, where you have to ride him through General Snake's stomach, which is full of his Plum Miraculixir.
-->'''Rat:''' I am ''not'' liking the taste of my own medicine!
* DirtyCoward: After his boss fight, he's only concerned about saving his own skin, whether it means forging a fake alliance with Kutaro, or merely running away.
* JetPack: Wears one in his boss fight.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Tries to talk his way out of punishment by saying he was going to one-up Kutaro, but is lured in and strangled to death when Moon Bear King asks him to tell him about it.]]
* HonestJohnsDealership: His main product is ''poison'', which he disguises as medicine.
* TechnicolorToxin: His Plum Miraculixir is the standard purple color.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same as all of the other generals.
* YouDirtyRat: He's a dishonest salesman who sells poison in a ripped up purple suit. He also seems to have his poison covering his body.

!!General Snake
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_snake_4435.jpg]]

-->"This time I will CHEW FIRST!"\
'''Voiced By:''' David Holt

The third general Kutaro must battle. General Snake is the second largest general, next to General Dragon. He was locked under Castle Grizzlestein due to his venom being so incredibly toxic that it can destroy any organic object in a matter of seconds. He is bitter and resentful of his imprisonment, but is still loyal to the Moon Bear King.

* EnemyToAllLivingThings: His mere presence can turn a lush forest into a desert incredibly quickly.
* PoisonousPerson: His venom turns the Moonwood into a desert in the matter of '' a minute''.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: His poison is so abhorrent that it can transform a lush and beautiful forest into a dry desert.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Cut apart by Calibrus after Kutaro lands some hits on him in the quick time event.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: Was imprisoned under Castle Grizzlestein for being too dangerous to let roam freely.
* SssssnakeTalk: As with most of the other generals, he has a VerbalTic based upon his species.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same as all the other generals.

!!General Pig
[[quoteright:227:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_pig_6542.jpg]]

-->"Yo ho HOINK! Another fine haul, me old salt!"\
'''Voiced By:''' Richard Ridings

One part of the pirate general duo, General Pig is the second smallest general. As a pig, he is incredibly greedy, which is doubled due to his piracy. He isn't particularly bright, and is helped along by General Sheep. Though he and Sheep still fight over their booty, they still work well together.

* BumblingHenchmenDuo: Him and Sheep.
* FatAndSkinny: The fat to Sheep's skinny.
* HumongousMecha: Pilots half of one in his boss fight.
* TalkLikeAPirate: Well, he is a pirate, so it's to be expected.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:He is turned into what appears to be a towel hook in the Moon Bear King's washroom.]]
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same as all the other generals.
* VerbalTic: Always replaces the last "Ho" of his "Yo ho ho"s with a "Hoink".

!!General Sheep
[[quoteright:206:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_sheep_3871.jpg]]

-->"Think of the time we might waste... and the electric bill!"\
'''Voiced By:''' David Holt

The second half of the pirate general duo. As greedy as Pig, but is less willing to let his wealth go to waste. Is more intelligent than Pig, making the rational thoughts for the duo. He and Pig may fight sometimes, but they still work together well as a team.

* BumblingHenchmenDuo: Him and Pig.
* FatAndSkinny: The skinny to Pig's fat.
* HumongousMecha: Pilots half of one in his boss fight.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Becomes a Rug for the Moon Bear King's tub]]
* LeanAndMean: Is much taller than Pig, and is the most obviously slim of the 12 generals.
* TalkLikeAPirate: He is a pirate, after all.
* TheScrooge: Keep in mind, the only reason he saved Pig at all was so that he could pay him money he owed sheep.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same with all the other generals.
* VerbalTic: Stretches his "A"s.

!!General Horse
[[quoteright:154:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_horse_758.jpg]]

-->"I'll teach you to look a gift horse in the mouth!"\
'''Voiced By:''' Jules de Jongh

The 6th general Kutaro must confront. The wife of General Bull, they were once lovers, but due to the Moonstone Shards, they became locked in an endless racing tournament. She is incredibly self confident, and refuses to lose once she gets locked into any type of conflict. She and her husband barely notice Kutaro at first, though.

* CompetitionFreak: Even as the road crumbles from beneath her, she desperately tries to win the race against Bull.
* HappilyMarried: Used to be with Bull, but now they constantly fight.
* KilledOffForReal: Averted, as she later shows up in General Bull's boss fight.
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: She finally confronts Kutaro when Pikarina calls her a chicken.
* SpicyLatina: She even dresses like a salsa dancer.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the only female general.
* TransformingMecha: She has the ability to turn into a steam train.
** StealthPun: [[spoiler:An ''iron horse'']].
* UsedToBeASweetKid: With a lollipop in her portrait.

!!General Bull
[[quoteright:223:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generalbull_5404.jpg]]
-->''"My Moo-oon-stone shard? Get real, tiny. I'm not that stupid!"''\
'''Voiced By:''' Luis Soto

Married to General Horse, General Bull (due to the moonstones, and some food from Ezma Potts) has become locked in an endless race with his wife, and has - in general - become a {{Jerkass}} who refuses to accept a loss of any kind.

* AnimalMecha: He doesn't transform like his wife does, but he's clearly designed to resemble a piece of construction equipment combined with a piece of steampunk technology.
** StealthPun: He's a ''bull''dozer.
* CompetitionFreak: Much like his wife.
* {{Determinator}}: This guy is this personified, his entire boss fight has him get back up again and again, as he continues to overheat.
* HappilyMarried: Used to be with Horse. Now they're constantly fighting each other.
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: Has the same reaction as his wife.
* TurnsRed: since he is actually made of metal, this is actually more plausible than most examples.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same with the other generals.
* VerbalTic: Being a bull, he has a tendency to accentuate the "moo" in "moonstone."

!! General Dog
[[quoteright:256:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generaldog_736.jpg]]
-->''"I know you love me."''\
'''Voiced By:''' Creator/MarkLewisJones

The General in charge of Guarding Hallowee Ville. General Monkey has Replaced much of his body with robotics, but he still retains his rather innocent personality. [[spoiler: After his first defeat, Monkey transforms him into a full-on robot powered by the moonstone shards Kutaro had collected thus far.]]

* BigFriendlyDog: You really wouldn't guess it from just looking at him, but he actually is this. He says before his boss fight that he wants nothing more than someone to scratch behind his ears, and even offers his moonstone shard to Kutaro and Pikarina as a reward for beating him out of his own will. [[spoiler:Even as Robo-Dog, he snaps out of his killer robot persona long enough to (try) and enjoy a bone and play fetch with a bomb.]]
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Kutaro's method of finishing him is ''ripping out his exposed brain and chopping it in half''.
* BrainInAJar: His weak spot in his first boss fight is his exposed brain.
* RobotDog: Appears to be a cyborg in his first boss fight, and by the second he has become mostly machine, thanks to Monkey.
* TooDumbToLive: His boss fight involves tricking him three times into snacking on a bone in order to expose his weak spot.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: And used to be a regular puppy and not a robot.

!!General Monkey
[[quoteright:261:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generalmonkey_5417.jpg]]
-->''"Good for you! I think I'll give you a special reward!"''\
'''Voiced By:''' James Goode

The seventh General Kutaro encounters, General Monkey is the inventor of most of the technology used by Moon Bear King and the other generals. His intellect and cunning makes him one of the most difficult of the generals for Kutaro to defeat and indeed, he is the last one to go down.

* TheDragon: Monkey is easily Moon Bear King's most reliable General.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Appears in General Bull's boss fight in disguise as a luchador referee. He ends up giving Kutaro a champion belt upon his victory, [[spoiler: which ends up being a trap, as it was actually a device that sprayed hypnotic gas at Kutaro and Pikarina.]]
* EvilGenius: He's a mad scientist.
* GetBackHereBoss: In Act 7, where he's trying to get away from Kutaro via a spaceship and prevent the moonstone from being completed. If it weren't for Yin-Yang giving Kutaro transport, he probably would've gotten away with it.
* JapaneseRanguage: It's not clear what exactly his weird accent is supposed to be, but it sounds very much like someone dubbing a Kung-Fu movie.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:After numerous attack on his ship by constellations, losing his helmet, and crashing into the sun, His ship explodes, and Monkey is lost in space.]]
* MadScientist: Is one in Hallowee-Ville.
* ManiacMonkeys: Again, mad scientist.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Same with the other generals.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: He was already smart, but once he got a moonstone shard, he became smarter and crazier.

!!General Rabbit
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generalrabbit_6689.jpg]]
-->''"Am I out of tricks?"''\
'''Voiced By:''' Timothy Watson

A French rabbit magician who works with General Rooster to take control of the Land of Time's Clock Tower. Though he could've probably easily done it already, he mostly wastes time by enjoying tea with Rooster and hanging out in his own private PocketDimension.

* DeathByIrony: After you get up to the mystery boxes hanging above his stage and cut one of the ropes, one of his previous tricks will damage him for you. One of said tricks is what actually finishes him off in the quick time event.
* DeathDealer: Not in the usual way. Instead of outright thowing them, he flips them and makes them drop when they are platforms during his fight. Considering there are SpikesOfDoom beneath your feet, this actually works well for him.
* FrenchJerk: A French magician working for the main villain.
* MagiciansAreWizards: He's able to enter pocket dimensions and summon flying playing cards.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: With ElmuhFuddSyndwome to boot.
* WeaponizedHeadgear: Its where he pulls his tricks out of. And like [[Film/{{Goldfinger}} Oddjob]], he can throw it as an attack.

!!General Rooster
[[quoteright:285:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generalrooster_1472.jpg]]
-->''My beautiful...plumage!"''\
'''Voiced By:''' Daniel Curshen

A strange General who works with Rabbit. He seems rather stuck up and effeminate, wasting his time with tea alongside Rabbit in the Land of Time's topiary garden maze. He searches for Mr. Pink to put The Clocktower's time at midnight, and trap the children of earth in a nightmare.

* AmbiguouslyGay: He wears a corset with heart designs all over it; and switches between talking like a gentleman, and talking like an effeminate lady.
* DeathByIrony: Uses fire in a lot of his attacks, and ends up getting cooked.
* KarmicDeath: After using fire to try and torch Kutaro, [[spoiler:the puppet cuts off the plume on his head and the wing Kutaro sent flying earlier in the event cooks him alive.]]
* MisterSeahorse: He can apparently lay eggs despite not being a female chicken.
-->'''Pikarina:''' Wait, these are your eggs? I thought you were a boy chicken.
-->'''Rooster:''' I can be whatever I want! I'm a peacock!
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Used to be a cute little chick.

!! General Dragon
[[quoteright:288:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generaldragon_3901.jpg]]
-->''"Did you seriously just cut off my tail!? Tell me you didn't just cut off my tail!"''\
'''Voiced By:''' Kerry Shale

General Dragon is one of the Moon Bear King's twelve generals, and is apparently the most powerful of them all. He is the second to last General Kutaro fights and is the biggest of them all. [[spoiler: He is also the one who steals the soul's of children's on his masters behalf.]]

* UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents: He has a Brooklyn accent, which contrasts heavily from his intimidating appearance.
* BreathWeapon: Fire, of course.
* PlayingWithFire: Being a dragon, of course.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: With ElmuhFuddSyndwome.
* VocalDissonance: He's the largest of the generals, with one of the most intimidating appearances and his job is to steal the souls of children, and what does he sound like? A weak and whiny little man from Brooklyn.

!!Mr. Pink
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2020_10_03_at_94758_am.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Mr. Pink with Kutaro]]
A Flamingo in the Land of Time who serves to keep its Clocktower running smoothly, so that the Land of time won't spin out of control, and so dreams that children have run smoothly. His a bit of an intellectual chatterbox, and can overload a person listening to him.
* ButtMonkey: As a picture book reveals, He originally lost his job as the Land of Times clock manager and proved to have horrible luck at any other position he tried out for (For example, with the clock broken everyones time was out of wack) including [[GrievousHarmWithABody being Captain Gaff's sword]], sacrificing his dignity and his health for a wife who was cheating on him, and children who did not respect him (both of which eventually left him alone). After all that he goes back to the one thing that is still around, the clock tower, only to be smashed on the clocks face by the wind. ''After that'' The Moon Goddess gives him a ReasonYouSuckSpeech, with the bad parts heavily outweighing the good, and tells him essentially that he can only ever be used as a clock tower piece, yes ''Mr. Pink is literally objectified''

* {{Jerkass}}: He's annoyed by nearly everything, and hates having to explain himself.
** Though, its not entirely without reason...
* MotorMouth: To the point that even Pikarina can't stand him.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: He'll give out the latin origins of a word in the middle of a sentence.

!!Mother and Father Cedar
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2020_10_03_at_93312_am.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Father Cedar on the left, Mother Cedar on the right]]
The Moonwood's guardian deities who take the form of two trees growing close to each other. They are the source of the forest, and should they fall, the Moonwood would surely die off.
* FatAndSkinny: Mother Cedar is the fat, Father Cedar is the skinny.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: The two trust General Rat and believe that his miracle elixir will help Mother Cedar to lose weight and for Father Cedar to smell better.
* TheGlassesGottaGo: Mother Cedar's glasses can be taken off during the battle with General Rat. The simple change in appearance causes Father Cedar to view his wife as beautiful again.

!!Nebula Oblongata
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nebula_6.png]]
The Mayor's Daughter in Halloween Ville. Gothic and dramatic, she helps Kutaro after she is freed from a curse.
* AxCrazy: Her picture book depicts her as this.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Her real name is Susan, though she demands that her father call her Nebula. He thinks she's just being silly, and still calls her Susan.
* ForcedTransformation: Took on the form of a gigantic, candy obsessed Pumpkin Monster with a male voice. Although it seems that she preferred being the monster than herself.
* LargeHam: One of the biggest in the game, and that's saying a lot. She acts like she walked out of some kind of soap opera by Tim Burton.
* OverlyLongNeck: As a [[{{Yokai}} rokurokubi]], Nebula can stretch her neck out to immensely long lengths.
* PunnyName: A pun on medulla oblongata, the lower half of the brain stem.

!!Captain Gaff
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2020_10_03_at_93425_am.png]]

'''Voiced By:''' Simon Greenall

A legendary pirate whose ship is stolen by General Sheep and Pig. After being freed from captivity by Kutaro, he joins forces with him in a bid to retake his ship.
* BadassNormal: He engages both Pig and Sheep in battle, going head to head to head with both generals at once. He has no magical powers, no special abilities, no secret powers -- he's just a normal human... and he fights them both to a standstill multiple times, with nothing but his sword. In his storybook, it's indicated that he is a legendary pirate who created so many problems that the Moon Goddess had to come down and curse him personally, since literally no other force on the moon could defeat him.
* {{Expy}}: He bears more than a passing resemblance to [[Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean Captain Jack Sparrow]].
* NoAccountingForTaste: He thinks that Moon Witch Ezma Potts is the most beautiful woman in the world. [[spoiler:And justified in universe. He used to charm and/or kidnap beautiful buxom women to be a part of his massive harem. He eventually goes too far, and set fire to entire villages that tried to stop him from expanding his harem, so the Moon Goddess cursed him to see all beautiful women and pirate crew-mates as hideous monsters. Since Ezma Potts was already hideous, he sees her as beautiful, and when she becomes the Moon Goddess again, he's devastated that she is now ugly to him.]]
* {{Pirate}}: Complete with stereotypical high-seas lingo
