The characters in ''WesternAnimation/PAWPatrol''.
----
[[foldercontrol]]

!Original PAW Patrol members
[[folder:General Tropes]]
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Both Chase and Skye experience this in the movies.
** Chase is revealed to have lived all alone in Adventure City when he was a little pup, and struggles with the idea of returning there.
** In the ''Mighty Movie'', Skye is shown to struggle with being the smallest pup of the group, something she has little issue with in the main series.
* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: In ''[[WesternAnimation/PAWPatrolTheMightyMovie The Mighty Movie]]'', several pups gain different and/or extra powers from the meteor crystals compared to those the meteor grants them in the "Mighty Pups" segments.
** Marshall can [[PlayingWithFire throw fireballs]] in addition to generating heat.
** Rubble has his secondary RollingAttack power as opposed to his primary SuperStrength.
** Skye has super-strength and durability, and can also fly without needing to generate a wind funnel.
** Zuma can [[ElementalShapeshifter turn into water]] as well as control the element itself.
** Rocky has [[SelectiveMagnetism magnetic powers]] rather than being able to create HardLight constructs.
* AerithAndBob: We have pups with common names (Chase, Skye, Marshall, Ella), pups with slightly rare names (Rocky, Tuck, Rex), and then there's names like Zuma, Rubble, Everest, and Tracker.
* ArtEvolution: The movie improves their character designs, not only giving them more detailed fur, but also changing the design of their back legs to look more like real-life dogs.
* AwesomeBackpack: How all the pups carry their tools, voice-activated by their barks. In Season 3, a few of the pups get flight pack add-ons.
* BadassAdorable: They're a Rescue team comprised of vehicle-driving, gadget-wielding PreciousPuppies. How can they not be? Special mention goes to super spy police dog Chase and Pup-Fu practicing firefighter Marshall.
* BorrowedCatchphrase: The pups sometimes use the catchphrases of their teammates:
** In "Pups Save a Superpup", Zuma borrows Rubble's "On the double" line when called upon to drive the absent pup's bulldozer.
** In "Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone", Marshall uses Ryder and Chase's lines when required to handle an emergency by himself.
** In "Moto Pups: Pups Save a Sneezy Chase", Sky uses the absent Chase's "Ready for action, Ryder, sir!"
* CatchPhrase: All members have at least one.
** As a group, the pups have "Ryder needs us!" (or sometimes, "Ryder's calling!") when they're summoned for a mission.
* ColorCodedCharacters: Generally associated with their role, such as Chase (police dog) and Marshall (fire dog) having blue and red uniforms, respectively, but still:
** Marshall: Red
** Rubble: Yellow
** Chase: Royal blue
** Rocky: Lime green
** Zuma: Orange
** Skye: Pink
** Everest: Teal
** Tracker: Khaki green
** Robo-Dog: White
** Tuck and Ella: Sky blue and Gray
** Rex: Chartreuse and Cerulean
** Wild: Amber
** Liberty: Coral
** Rory: White and Sky Blue
** Shade: Purple
** Leo: Pale yellow
** Al: Gray
** Coral: Purple
* CuteLittleFangs: Yes, they are to be expected from dogs, but they're small and not at all scary.
* FreeRangeChildren: In the early episodes, the pups were often seen by themselves, playing or walking through town. Later seasons phased this out, so they are rarely seen without Ryder or some other human character with them.
* FurryReminder: They still have many of the usual canine mannerisms (eating out of doggie bowls, loving belly rubs and petting, enjoying doggy treats, showing affection by tackling and licking, wagging tails when pleased or excited, etc.) while they're managing PAW Patrol vehicles and equipment.
%%* HeroicDog: The entire point.
* InterspeciesFriendship: The pups and Ryder are as close as friends as they are as colleagues.
* KidHero: Applies to all of the pups, who are all still young.
* MeaningfulName: All of the characters possess names befitting their occupations (except for Tuck and Ella).
* MechaExpansionPack: In Ultimate Rescue episodes, each pup's vehicle gains a number of attachments that make it big enough for the whole team to ride in, and also includes detachable extra vehicles for the other pups to operate.
* NoOneGetsLeftBehind: The PAW Patrol are willing to save their leader (and any other teammate, for that matter) no matter the cost. Don't even try to take Ryder away from them; they ''will'' do everything in their power to get him back.
* ParentalAbandonment: The parents of the pups are absent from the series. It's especially noticeable in Everest, Tracker, Tuck, and Ella, who are perceived to be strays before meeting the PAW Patrol. It's also heavily implied in the movie that Chase was a victim of this.
%%* PreciousPuppy: Ya think?!
* SaveTheVillain: The PAW Patrol are dedicated to saving all those in need, even the likes of Mayor Humdinger, Sweetie and Sid the pirate.
* TalkingAnimal: The pups are a notable case in that [[MundaneFantastic they can talk]], but other non-canine animals can't. (the exceptions are Mr. Nibbles/The Copycat, who gains the ability to talk when charged up by the meteor, and Wildcat, whose reasons for being able speak have yet to be revealed.)
* TransformingMecha: The pups' respective houses transform into their mission vehicles.
** In season two, Chase, Marshall, and Zuma's houses can also become a spy car, an ambulance, and a mini-sub, respectively.
** As of the season three episode "Pups Save a Stinky Flower," Rocky's recycling truck also transforms into a tugboat.
** In the "Aqua Pups" subseries, the PAW Patroller can transform into an aquatic form called the "Whale Patroller".
* UndyingLoyalty: The pups are loyal to Ryder especially in some scenarios like one of their members have gone missing or get captured by the enemy.
* VagueAge: It's not clear how old they are.
** The wiki claims they're in between 4-8 (specifically, Tracker is 4, Rubble and Zuma are 5, Marshall and Rocky are 6, Chase and Skye are 7 and Everest is 8). Tuck and Ella do not have confirmed ages.
** The French dub specifically refers to them as puppies.[[note]]In the theme song, the line is "Ryder et les chiots, ses amis", which means "Ryder and the puppies, his friends". [[/note]]

Ryder is a human child who is called upon by various residents around Adventure Bay, giving the PAW Patrol their respective missions. He also joins them on his ATV, Vehicle No. 01. No job is too big, and no pup is too small. He is the leader of the PAW Patrol.
----
* AbsurdPhobia: ''Brussels sprouts'', to the point of having ''nightmares'' about them. We couldn't make this up if we tried.
* ActionFashionista: He has specific outfits for Sea Patrol, Mission PAW, Air Patrol, and every type of Ultimate Rescue, as well as a scuba suit, two different Halloween outfits, pajamas, and a basketball uniform. We're guessing the lesson here is if you're gonna save Adventure Bay, you might as well do it in style.
* AdorablyPrecociousChild: He has his moments that show his age, such as playing video games on his Pup-Pad when a call comes in.
--> '''Ryder (to a sea slug)''': Whenever you're in trouble, just (mimics giggling) for help!
* BadassInDistress: Occasionally needs saving by the pups for one reason or another, notably in ''Mighty Pups'' where he's actively kidnapped.
* BrainyBrunette: Has brown hair and is exceptionally smart for his age.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Alright! PAW Patrol is on a roll!", "No job is too big[[note]]or contextually-appropriate substitute[[/note]], no pup is too small!", and "Whenever you're in trouble, just yelp[[note]]or contextually-appropriate substitute[[/note]] for help!"
* CompressedHair: He always manages to fit his SpikyHair whenever he's wearing any type of headwear.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Has brown eyes and hair.
* DistressedDude: In "Pups Save Ryder", he got stranded on a cliff and needed the PAW Patrol to come save him. And in ''Mighty Pups'', he's actively kidnapped and held for some time ([[DamselOutOfDistress though he does ultimately manage to escape and call the pups]]).
* DoesNotLikeSpam: Despises Brussels sprouts (though it's slightly justified, considering his age).
* DubNameChange: Kent in the Japanese dub, due to [[ScrewedByTheLawyers legal issues]] involving the ''Series/KamenRider'' series[[note]]The creators of the latter apparently had trademarked the name "Rider", thus forcing Ryder to be renamed Kent[[/note]].
* GadgeteerGenius: He is the one who made the pups' gear and vehicles, especially the ones for any specific mission. In the "Mighty Pups" special, he even managed to build a tablet from scrap parts.
* TheLeader: Ryder serves as the organizer of the team, receiving the distress calls and arranging missions for the pups when needed.
* ImprobableAge: Is 10 years old, yet runs what is essentially a regional version of [[WesternAnimation/{{Thunderbirds}} International Rescue]].
* InvisibleParents: Despite being a 10-year boy, his parents are never seen, heard or even mentioned throughout the series. Word of God says that Ryder's parents are "still around", but they haven't appeared yet because they want to keep the focus on the protagonists. Though, it's unlikely they ever will.
* JetPack: Gains one in "Air Pups" alongside a birdman suit. His tech suit in "Mighty Pups: Super Paws/Charged Up" also has one.
* KidHero: Only ten years old, but is a formidable rescue crew leader.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Mature for the most part, but there are some pretty cute moments where he mimics an animal noise during his CharacterCatchphrase, proving that he's still a fun-loving kid underneath it all.
* OutOfFocus: He often gets ignored in favor of the pups, and is often excluded from advertising/TheMerch.
* PunnyName: In the Japanese dub, Ryder's name (Kent), while being read with Japanese phonetics as "Kento/犬人", which is also a valid name there, can be read as "dog person", a name quite fitting for some who deals with dogs.
* RedIsHeroic: Part of his vest is red, and he's a KidHero.
* ShipTease: He's implied to have a crush on Katie.
* SpikyHair: Has this, and a few episodes imply it's ''natural''.
* StoutStrength: While he looks small, he can lift every pup, a treasure chest, and a ''goat''.
* TeamDad: A surprisingly young example. He's usually the one taking care of/looking out for the pups.
* TheTeamNormal: In the ''Mighty Pups'' segments. Ryder is never shown gaining powers from the meteor, so he wears a special suit to keep up with the super-powered pups on missions.
* TokenHuman: A human among eight dogs.
* TransformingVehicle: Though not to the same level as the pups' homes, his ATV can take on other modes for all-terrain travel, like its jetski or snowmobile modes.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Is the leader of the rescue team of an entire town despite being only 10 years old, can remain completely professional while on a job, and the town deeply respects him and his team for it.
* VocalEvolution: In earlier episodes, his voice was sounding more robotic and much deeper, it wasn't until the rest of the first and later seasons that his voice becomes more youthful, and less-robot now.
* YouthfulFreckles: Sports these in the movie.

[[folder:Chase (No. 2)]]

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_chase.png]] [[caption-width-right:350:"Chase is on the case!"]]
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Tristan Samuel (NA English, S1), Hayden Hunter (UK English, S1-S4), Max Calinescu (NA English, S2-S4), Justin Kelly (NA English, S5-S10), Nye James (UK English, S5-present), Creator/IainArmitage (NA English, movie), Matthew Campbell (UK English, movie) Luke Dietz (NA English, S10-present) Christian Convery (NA English, The Mighty Movie) [[labelnote:additional [=VAs=]]]Creator/KristenShalaveci (Albanian) Audrey Sablé (French), Creator/BernanditaEspejo (Latin American Spanish), Katarina Perica (Croatian), María Zervoú (Greek), Creator/ShizukaIshigami (Japanese), Creator/MauraCenciarelli (Italian), Creator/YongwooShin (Korean), Creator/BeataWyrabkiewicz (Polish), Creator/OlgaGolovanova (Russian)[[/labelnote]]

Chase is a German Shepherd pup that serves as the police dog of the group. He generally tries to uphold a professional attitude, and often is called upon for his police skills and cruiser's winch. He is the second in command of the PAW Patrol. Starting in Season 2, he has also gained spy gear to aid in missions.

His home, Vehicle No. 02, takes the form of a Police SUV, equipped with a retractable winch. Starting with Season 2, it can also take the form of a Spy Mobile Command Center.
----
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Starting in Season 2, Chase becomes the obligatory skeptic character whenever the PAW Patrol may be dealing with a supernatural case. This can be somewhat justified by him being a police dog, but it gets confusing when he's met an alien and Mer-Pups.
* BlueIsHeroic: A blue-wearing police officer.
* CharacterCatchphrase:
** "(Super Spy) Chase is on the case!" and "These paws uphold the laws!"
** There's also "Ready for action, Ryder, sir!", which was changed to "PAW Patrol ready for action, Ryder sir!" after Season One.
* CoolBike: In "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", Chase gains a Spy ATV.
** As of the trailer for the movie, his police vehicle can also deploy a motorcycle for narrower spaces.
* CowardlyLion: The movie reveals that he is this. Chase despite seeming brave often struggles with his own doubts and fears during a mission and while he's normally able to power through it, being in Adventure City, the place of his DarkAndTroubledPast causes him to go through a HeroicBSOD. It takes getting a pep talk from Ryder for him to get over it.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Has brown fur and eyes.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: The movie reveals he was abandoned as a baby and lived on the Streets until Ryder took him in.
* DubNameChange: Гонщик (Gonshchik, meaning racer) in the Russian dub.
* GrapplingHookPistol: His spy-pack contains a zipline.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Marshall.
* InterspeciesFriendship: With Little Hooty, an owlet who came to the PAW Patrol to get their help in saving his mother while she was trapped in a tree dangling off a cliff.
* {{Irony}}: In the "Jungle Pups" subseries, his new vehicle is modelled after a tiger, contrasting with his longtime allergy to felines.
* JetPack: In "Air Pups," his flight pack is jet-propelled, but is more of a glider.
* KnuckleCracking: In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis", he did it while underwater and boasting he is a mer-pup on a mission.
* TheLeader: Among the pups themselves.
* MeaningfulName: His name refers to a police chase.
** And with his SuperSpeed in ''Mighty Pups'', he's a ''high-speed'' Chase!
** In the Finnish dub, his name is Vainu, which means "nose", fitting his amazing sense of smell.
* NextTierPowerUp: He and Marshall power each other up to face a formidable foe, The Copycat, in "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. The Copycat". Chase specifically gains the ability to [[SuperScream bark at a supersonic frequency]].
* TheNoseKnows: As to be expected of a police dog, Chase has an incredible sense of smell. As noted on the main page, it was to the point of being able to distinguish jellybean colors while blindfolded.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Chase tries to maintain a professional attitude while on missions. It doesn't always work out for him. Examples are seeing that Skye's alright after danger (and quickly attempting to cover it up), and laughing like the kid he is on the slide sometimes.
* PinkGirlBlueBoy: He wears blue, while Skye wears pink.
* PlotAllergy: Chase is allergic to cat fur (which apparently includes all things feline since he [[IllTimedSneeze sneezes when tracking tigers]] in one episode) and feathers, which can complicate missions where he has to help Cali (or any feline for that matter) or Chickaletta. It also causes some problems with their new teammate Wild Cat (until his Moto helmet is upgraded with a hypo-allergenic filter).
* PolicemanDog: Even in a story populated mainly by talking dogs, the German shepherd is notably the one to play the role of the police officer. However, he never arrests anybody, and acts more like a detective.
* PowerIncontinence: In "Mighty Pups vs. The Mighty Cheetah", Chase gets half his badge (which contained his crystal) stolen by The Cheetah, which causes his SuperSpeed to fluctuate; for example, when he needs to go fast, he suddenly slows down and in a scenario where his power isn't needed, he speeds up anyways.
* RealMenWearPink: PlayedForLaughs when Chase was once seen wearing Skye's bathing cap, as well as admiring himself in a mirror with it.
* RedOniBlueOni: Chase is calm and intellectual (blue), contrasting with Marshall's enthusiastic and extroverted (red) personality.
* ShipTease: With Skye, with whom he has some touching moments, such as their Pup Pup Boogie game and once acting as TeamDad and TeamMom in organizing the pups. Whenever Skye seems to be in danger, Chase shows the most concern out of the rest of the pups, and is usually the most joyful when she turns out to be safe.
* SickEpisode: He had a cold in "Pups Save a Show".
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Zig-zagged in "Pups Save a Hoot". While Ryder suggests that Chase can speak owl, Chase says that it's more like he knows what Little Hooty is trying to tell him.
* SuperScream: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after he and Marshall power each other up, he gains the ability to bark at a supersonic frequency.
* SuperSpeed: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, he gains this power from the meteor. He also gets this in ''PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie''.
* UndyingLoyalty: He is very dedicated to his work on the PAW Patrol team, he has no intention of ever leaving it. Above all, he has an undying loyalty to Ryder.
* UnwantedAssistance: {{Invoked}} in "Pups Save a Herd" when Chase wants to practice for a herding competition and tries to help others by herding. His efforts trip up the Porters' shipment of cakes, scare off the seagulls Turbot was counting and cause him to fall into the Bay, and lead Rocky to roll atop a bunch of tennis balls and get very wet.
* WithCatlikeTread: His early use of the spy gear usually resulted in him talking quite a bit while he was supposed to be stealthy. It gets especially humorous when he yells at a seagull for getting in the way when he was "trying to spy [t]here".
* VocalEvolution: His voice in early seasons was low-pitched, but as time flys by, his voice is much higher.
* YouAreInCommandNow: In both "Pups Save Ryder" and the ''Mighty Pups'' special, Chase is forced to lead the team when Ryder is incapacitated.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Marshall (No. 3)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_marshall.png]] [[caption-width-right:350:"I'm fired up!"]]
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/GageMunroe (NA English, S1), Noah Ashby (UK English, S1-S4), Drew Davis (NA English, S2-S5), Alfie Elliott (UK English, S5-present), Lukas Engel (NA English, S6), Kingsley Marshall (NA English, S6-S8, Movie), Christian Corrao (NA English, S8-present, The Mighty Movie) [[labelnote:additional [=VAs=]]]Leslie Lipkins (French), Creator/PablaHermann (Chilean Spanish), Creator/DianaTorres (European Spanish), Moon Nam-sook (Korean), Creator/SofiaKapsambeli (Greek), Makoto Koichi (Japanese), Creator/CsongorSzalay (Hungarian), Creator/MonicaWard (Italian), Creator/AnnaApostolakisGluzinska (Polish), Creator/HeljaHeikkinen (Finnish), Creator/MegiMysliu (Albanian)[[/labelnote]]

Marshall is a Dalmatian pup that serves as the firefighter and medic dog of the group. Goodhearted and ready to go, Marshall is often tripped up by his klutziness. Nevertheless, he manages to be an effective rescuer-even if he might end up falling down his fire engine's ladder.

As expected, his home, Vehicle No. 3, is a fire truck. In Season 2 and onwards, it also takes the form of a rescue ambulance.
----
* BadLiar: He's not very good at keeping secrets. When Rocky explained that he was keeping Chase busy while the others prepared his surprise party, everyone reacted in disbelief. Sure enough, when the scene changes to him and Chase, he's visibly struggling to keep up the ruse.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Sure, he trips and falls a lot and [[PungeonMaster makes countless]] [[{{Pun}} puns]], some of which are even cringeworthy, but he's very good at his job and rarely makes a mistake on missions.
* ButtMonkey: At the very least, he's prone to slapstick. And getting his head stuck in stuff.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "I'm fired up!" and "Ready for a ruff, ruff rescue!"
* DubNameChange: Marcus, in the French dub.
* EndearinglyDorky: His clumsiness is viewed as funny and endearing by the rest of the cast, which is helped by his penchant for [[PungeonMaster bad puns]] and earnest efforts to help people.
* FirehouseDalmatian: Obviously, he's the firefighter of the team. His doghouse turns into a fire truck and his pup pack contains water-shooting cannons. Later in the series, he's promoted to medic pup, while still keeping his role as the fire pup.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Birds really like the guy.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Chase.
* IAmNotWeasel: In "Pups Save a Basketball Game", he corrects Mayor Humdinger by reminding him that he is a Dalmatian when the latter calls him a beagle.
* InASingleBound: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after he and Chase power each other up, Marshall gains the ability to jump so high it looks like he's flying.
* InterspeciesFriendship: With Fuzzy, a goose chick Marshall bonded with and later helped reunite with his flock, while also facing his fear of heights.
* JetPack: In "Air Pups," he receives a version that also has water-propelled VTOL jets, akin to a flyboard.
* TheKlutz: Marshall's defining trait.
** [[ExploitedTrope Exploited]] in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Their Pirated Sea Patroller". Marshall is able to use his clumsiness to distract his captor, Sid, by spraying him in the face and causing him to chase after him, providing an opening for Robo-Dog to re-take the bridge of the Sea Patroller.
-->'''Marshall''': Sometimes it's good to be clumsy!
* MakingASplash: His water cannons, primarily used for firefighting, can also be used to spray other liquids. In "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", Marshall is given a "Hydro Launcher", which fires a single jet of water powerful enough to cut through a wooden door.
* MeaningfulName: The firefighter pup, named after a firefighter marshal. Also in any of the "Pup-Fu" episodes, he's very good at the subject, therefore, making him a ''[[PunnyName Martial Artist]]''.
* TheMedic: Since Season 2, this has been Marshall's other role in the series, complete with an X-ray monitor in place of the usual water cannons.
* NextTierPowerUp: He and Chase power each other up to face a formidable foe, The Copycat, in "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. The Copycat". Marshall specifically gains the ability to [[InASingleBound jump high enough to look like he's flying]].
* NiceGuy: He's always friendly and has an earnest desire to help.
* PerformanceAnxiety: He sometimes suffers from this; in "Pups Save a Show," he had to fill in for Chase (who came down with a sore throat) in the pups' play, and was so nervous he could barely bring himself to get on stage, and even flubbed his first few lines. He experiences this again in "Pups Save the Talent Show," where he is terrified by the idea of singing on stage without Rubble.
* PlayingWithFire: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, he gains the ability to channel heat through his paws. In ''PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie'', he gains the ability to create fireballs.
* PungeonMaster: Sometimes makes these when he ends up crashing into the other pups. Sometimes they're well-received, other times, [[LamePunReaction not so much]].
* RedIsHeroic: Red is his theme color.
* RedOniBlueOni: Marshall is an enthusiastic extrovert (red), contrasting with Chase's more intellectual and calm (blue) personality.
* RunningGag: Marshall getting his head stuck in something, excitedly rushing to the elevator, crashing into it/the other pups, and tripping/falling are the series' main running gags. Also, expect him to have something fall onto his face and/or fall down the rungs of his ladder if he's using it to (try and) rescue someone.
* {{Sleepwalking}}: [[spoiler:The "ghost" of "Pups Save a Ghost" turns out to be Marshall walking around in his sleep. Ironically, amusingly, and befitting to the trope, he manages a skateboard and a surfboard far better in his sleep than he does while awake]].
* SoUnfunnyItsFunny: Many, if not all of, his puns made every time he gets into an accident on the way to the elevator.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal:
** "Pups Save a Cow" reveals that Marshall learned to speak cow from Cap'n Turbot, allowing him to calm down a frightened Bettina.
** In "Pups Save Uncle Otis from His Cabin", he is able to communicate with a squirrel, and later, some beavers, enlisting their help to chew a hole in the cabin.
* SweetTooth: When a batch of jam the Patrol intended to enter in a competition gets a whole bag of sugar dumped into it, Marshall remarks that he likes it, despite some of his teammates gagging from the sugary taste in the background.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Marshall has a fear of heights-or more specifically, a fear of being dangled in the open air (as he manages to handle climbing his ladder just fine). He seems to have overcome it in "Air Pups," given that he's perfectly fine with his water-propulsion pack.
* VocalEvolution: In the first season, Marshall's voice was high-pitched and scratchy-like, until in later seasons his voice is much lower.
* YouthfulFreckles: Marshall has freckles on his cheeks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Skye (No. 4)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_skye.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:"Let's take to the sky!"]]

Skye is a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix) that serves as the aerial dog of the group. Quite energetic in her own right, Skye takes to the air in her helicopter, if not with her glider-pack. The PAW Patrol can be assured that she'll be their eyes in the sky.

As mentioned, her home, Vehicle No. 04, is a helicopter.
----
* ActionGirl: Well, she's a girl and she saves the day, along with the PAW Patrol.
* BlowYouAway: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, she gains the power of unassisted {{Flight}} and the ability to create whirlwinds.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Let's take to the sky!" and "This pup's gotta fly!" (usually accompanied by a backflip)
* CoolBike: Gains a "Sky-Cycle" in "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", which can convert from a motorcycle to a flying hovercraft.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: In WesternAnimation/PawPatrolTheMightyMovie, she was born on a farm, where she was TheRuntAtTheEnd, whether it be getting her share of food or getting picked for adoption (or in some cases, never picked at all). Sometime later, she was left in a barn, and when she sees Ryder for the first time, she sees this as an opportunity to get adopted, so she decides to chase after him during a ''snowstorm''. She nearly succumbs to the freezing temperature and nearly dies in the snow when Ryder finds her.
* DubNameChange: In the French dub, her name is Stella.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of pilot Ace Sorensen, as seen in "Pups Save an Ace"
* FatalFlaw: In the second movie, Skye's desperation to prove herself leads her to be [[LeeroyJenkins reckless]] and [[DidntThinkThisThrough not think about the consequences that put herself and/or her friends in danger]]. This is seen when Victoria steals her crystal and Ryder asks her to sit out on the mission to retrieve it, in hopes of keeping her safe. Unfortunately she thinks Ryder just asked her to stay behind, thinking he lost faith in her, leading her to take the other pups' crystals to take on the MadScientist herself. [[FromBadToWorse This all goes downhill when not only Skye gets herself captured]] but [[NiceJobBreakingItHero also has Victoria steal the other crystals, leaving the other pups powerless]] ''[[NiceJobBreakingItHero and]]'' [[NiceJobBreakingItHero give her the extra fuel power she needs to attract more meteors into Adventure City]].
* GenkiGirl: Mostly demonstrated by her adorable little giggle-barks and tendency to perform backflips.
* GirlyGirl: She likes to get her fur styled at Katie's pet salon.
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Flies in a silver helicopter (with pink highlights).
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual:
** Her aviation goggles function as telescopic lenses, which is handy for surveillance.
** The goggles that come with her Air Patrol flight suit are even more advanced.
* TheHeart: She is the cutest and kindest of the team.
* JetPack:
** A variation in that it is a glider pack equipped with twin mini-thrusters and retractable wings.
** In "Air Pups," she receives an improved version with supersonic jets.
** In "Mission PAW: Royally Spooked", she uses a new glider pack that allows her to fly without jet propulsion.
** During the "Rescue Knights" subseries, her pup-pack includes a pair of metal dragon-styled wings.
* MeaningfulName: Her name is related to the sky.
* PinkGirlBlueBoy: She wears pink while Chase wears blue.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Her overall color motif.
* PowerOfTheStorm: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after she and Rocky power each other up, she gains the ability to control the weather.
* TheRuntAtTheEnd: She's the smallest member of the PAW Patrol. This also ties in with her DarkAndTroubledPast in the second film.
* ShipTease: In "Pups Save the Camping Trip", Skye regards Chase as being "very sweet" for being concerned about her, even when he denys it. They've also clicked particularly well on occasion, such as one instance where the two acted as TeamDad and TeamMom in getting the other pups going. Near the end of "Pups Save Friendship Day," Skye leans her head tenderly against Chase's chest, possibly hinting at her having deeper feelings for him.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the sole female member of the group until the introduction of Everest in Season 2.
* StevenUlyssesPerhero: ''Skye'' is the air force member of the group.
* TokenFlyer: Skye embodies this trope in two ways; her pup-pack functions a jetpack, a feature unique to her, and her vehicle is a helicopter whereas the other pups' vehicles are all wheeled. To show her position as the sole flying member, the symbol on her tag is a propeller and a pair of wings.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Skye is the girly girl to Everest's tomboy.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Skye is very afraid of any eagles she may encounter during flight. However, she once [[FaceYourFears faces this fear]] head-on in order to save a bunny an eagle intended to take as prey.
* VocalEvolution: Due to her original voice actress Kallan Holley going through puberty, her voice became deeper each season until Holley was replaced by Lilly Bartlam at the beginning of Season 6.

Rocky is a mixed breed (possibly a Cattle Dog mix) pup that serves as the recycling specialist and mechanic of the group. He regularly is called upon to fix damaged materials, often by using various things he's collected in his truck. As long as it doesn't require him to get wet.

His home, Vehicle No. 05, is a combination forklift/recycling truck, which contains the ''many'' recyclables he's collected.
----

* ArtEvolution: Downplayed. Through the earlier seasons, the belt on Rocky's uniform is blue. In the later seasons, it was changed to light green.
* BrokenPedestal: He was a big fan of Codi Gizmody -- until she showed her true colors.
* ButtMonkey: At least where [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes water]] is concerned. If there's something involving a lot of water around, then nine times out of ten, he's getting drenched.
* CartoonDogBreed: Explicitly a mixed breed, but what he's mixed from is unknown. He's a gray dog with a single gray spot over one eye. He's also a rare case of a mutt in a group of other dogs who ''isn't'' the main character (though he is still in the main cast).
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Green means go!", "Don't lose it, reuse it!", and "Why trash it, when you can stash it?"
* EarNotch: His right ear has a small nick.
* EmeraldPower: His signature color is green.
* EveryDeviceIsASwissArmyKnife: Rocky's pack has the most tools out of the team's, containing a pincer, a screwdriver, a glue-applicator, and a tape dispenser among other things. It's even more notable in that the pack only has two mechanical arms that it's barely big enough to hold with the other hypothetical supplies.
* GadgeteerGenius: Rocky has been shown implementing several devices out of the materials in his truck, such as a mini-catapult for launching streamers and a bellow-constructed trap set up to capture a "ghost".
* GreenAesop: His character serves as an emphasis on eco-friendly acts and recycling.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Let's just say that truck holds more than it looks like it should. This is most notable when it was able to hold Zuma's old surfboard. His pack has similar properties (see EveryDeviceIsASwissArmyKnife).
* HatesBaths: Justified. Because he has a fear of water, Rocky is seen trying to avoid taking a bath whenever Katie needs to give him one. This usually fails, but, Rocky has been saved from a bath when the Paw Patrol needs him for a mission.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Zuma.
* HornyVikings: His Halloween costume in the Ghost Ship episode, complete with mustache.
* {{Irony}}:
** Despite hating water, he's best friends with Marshall and Zuma (particularly the latter), the water-oriented members of the group.
** When he is briefly transformed into a Mer-Pup, he absolutely loves swimming in the water.
** In season three, his truck gains the ability to change into a tugboat. The pup who hates water just got a lot closer to it.
** Even more ironic; earlier in the show he was given a scuba pack similar to Zuma's just to help fix the broken Diving Bell.
* JetPack: In "Air Pups," he receives a version that allows him to hover and repair things mid-air.
* MeaningfulName: His name comes from rocks, and he’s the eco pup.
* MrFixit: Rocky's general role in the series.
* NotQuiteFlight: In ''"Mighty Pups vs. The Mayor of the Universe"'', he's seen flying when he uses his magnet powers to use a lamppost as a bat to hit a rock that was about to squish Jake, though it could be possible that he's using said powers to lift himself off the ground (his suit is metallic).
* OutOfFocus: Rocky can tend to fade into the background on occasion to the point of being silent.
* RunningGag: He's an aquaphobic dog who often is hit with water (sometimes from Marshall's water cannons) for a gag.
* SickEpisode: He had a sore throat in "Parroting Pups", preventing him from voice-activating his tools.
* SignatureInstrument: His guitar, mainly because his pup-pack makes him the only pup able to play it.
* TheSmartGuy: Among the pups, due to his mechanical know-how.
* StealthPun: As a mixed-breed who collects and recycles broken objects, he's as close to a "junkyard dog" as you can get without saying it.
* SwissArmySuperpower: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, the meteor grants him the power to make green energy constructs, which he mostly utilizes in the form of giant tools.
* XRayVision: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after he and Skye power each other up, he gains this ability.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Rocky immensely hates getting wet, and will avoid any contact with water if he can. The "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Baby Octopus" special shows his dislike of water preventing him from even trying to complete his sea rescue training. But in the end, Rocky manages to [[FaceYourFears put aside his fear]] to help save the day.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_rubble.png]] [[caption-width-right:350:"Rubble on the double!"]]
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Devan Cohen (NA English, S1-S5), Luca Townsend (UK English, S1-S2), Fin Harvey (UK English, S3-S5), Piers Gardener (UK English, S6-present), Keegan Hedley (NA English, S6-S8, Movie), Lucien Duncan-Reid (NA English, S8-present) Luxton Handspiker (NA English, The Mighty Movie) [[labelnote:additional [=VAs=]]]Creator/CelineRonte (French), Creator/ConsueloPizarro (Latin American Spanish), Creator/BlancaRada (European Spanish), Creator/UmSanghyun (Korean), Chrysoúla Papadopoúlou (Greek), Satsumi Matsuda (Japanese), Creator/IstvanBarath (Hungarian), Creator/AntonellaBaldini (Italian), Creator/ShirlyLilu (Hebrew)[[/labelnote]]

Rubble is an English Bulldog pup that serves as the construction dog of the group. He is an accomplished digger with his paws, which led to him becoming a member of PAW Patrol. Like the others, he's usually very enthusiastic about missions, as well as any chance to put his bulldozer to use.

As expected, his home, Vehicle No. 06, is a bulldozer with an auger excavator in the back. Sometimes, the latter is replaced with a crane.
----
* AdaptationalComicRelief: In the movie, he gets more comedic and goofy moments than even ''[[TheKlutz Marshall]]'' does.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: "Pups Get A Rubble" reveals that he's the youngest member of the original six pups, even being smaller in the flashbacks than he is in the present. As such, he can be a little more childish than the other pups, like when he plays "Super Rubble," even while on a mission.
* BathsAreFun: Unlike Rocky, Rubble loves taking bubble baths.
* TheBigGuy: Among the pups, naturally due to being a construction pup.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Rubble on the double!" and "Let's dig it!"
* CuteLittleFangs: Rubble's are rather prominent.
* CutenessProximity: Kittens seem to have this effect on him, as seen in "Pups & the Kitty-tastrophe" and "Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone."
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Has amber eyes the same color as his fur.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: In his attempts to act as a "Super Pup", Rubble rushes to aid a trapped train without alerting the others or carrying his pack, wanting to handle it all by himself. His efforts get him trapped inside the tunnel.
* DrillTank: In "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", Rubble receives a new vehicle in this style, the "Mini-Miner".
* DubNameChange:
** Ruben, in the French dub.
** Крепыш (Krepysh, meaning burly) in the Russian dub.
* ElvisImpersonator: His Halloween costume in the Ghost Ship episode, complete with him repeating the phrase "Blue Suede".
* {{Fanboy}}: While all the pups are fans of the show, Rubble especially loves ''[[ShowWithinAShow Apollo the Super Dog]]''. He even dresses like the titular hero during two missions.
* {{Hoverboard}}: In "Air Pups," he receives a duct fan-powered version, allowing him to take to the skies. His prior love of skateboarding and snowboarding means he takes to it very quickly.
* GreenEyedMonster: In one episode he got jealous over Skye's apparent crush on Francois.
* GrowlingGut: A recurring gag with Rubble involves his tummy loudly announcing it needs food.
* IdenticalStranger: In the episode with the pirate treasure, [[spoiler: the mysterious Captain Blackfur turns out to have been an exact lookalike of Rubble, only with a goatee. And this was foreshadowed when Blackfur's hat perfectly fit Rubble's head]]. It's not stated if they were related in any way.
* MeaningfulName: His name is related to fragments of stone and rock, which are used for construction, and he’s the construction pup.
* OriginsEpisode: "Pups Get a Rubble" shows that Rubble was saved by the PAW Patrol after he nearly fell off a cliffside branch. Wanting to join them, Rubble proved himself by putting his digging skills to use to save Jake when he was trapped in the snow.
* RollingAttack: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after he and Zuma power each other up, he gains the ability to surround himself in a sphere of energy, allowing him to slam into objects like a wrecking ball.
* SleepCute: In "Pups Save an Adventure," the other pups fawn over how cute he looks when he's sleeping.
* SleepMask: He has been shown to wear one on a few occasions, usually leading him to get tripped up.
* SuperStrength: Gains this power in ''Mighty Pups'', which allows him to, among other things, perform a ShockwaveStomp.
* TenderTears: Rubble is the pup who has been shown shedding tears, and he makes quite the sad expressions despite such instances being brief. He also tends to be the pup who shows the most disappointment when he's not yet called for a mission he wants to partake in.
* TunnelKing: Rubble is an accomplished digger, even without his shovel pack. As seen in his debut episode, he was able to dig into the heavy snow to rescue Jake.
* VocalEvolution: His voice is much less-scratchy in later episodes.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes:
** Rubble really doesn't like spiders, to the point of worrying that he might catch "spider cooties". It doesn't help that they have a tendency to drop right down on/near his nose.
** In "Mission PAW: Royally Spooked", he shows a fear of ghosts, to the point where he can't bear to be in the supposedly haunted castle of Barkingburg (though he [[FaceYourFears faces his fear]] in the end to save Sweetie).
** His fear of bats is revealed in "Pups Party With Bats," but he overcomes it when it turns out the bats love his DJ music.

Zuma is a Chocolate Labrador that serves as the diver of the group. Any water mission is a breeze with Zuma's hovercraft and diving equipment (with a breathing apparatus shaped like a bone, natch). Generally mellow and good-natured, Zuma does what he can, dude.

His home, Vehicle No. 07, is a hovercraft. In Season 2, [[TransformingVehicle it also has a submarine mode.]]
----

* BubbleGun: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", after he and Rubble power each other up, he gains the ability to create bubbles of energy to contain things (and people) in.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Let's dive in!" and "Ready, set, get wet!"
* CoolBoat:
** Zuma has his hovercraft, which functions pretty well on land as it does on the water. And as of "Pups Save the Diving Bell", it can also transform into a mini-submarine.
** In "Mission PAW: Pups Save the Royal Throne", Zuma gains a new "Mini-Sub" vehicle, able to convert from a land-based configuration to an aquatic one.
* ElmuhFuddSyndwome: Zuma talks like this in the US dub, due to Emily Thorne being unable to pronounce her R's. It's most notable when he addresses "Wyder" and "Wocky". This was eventually dropped after a voice actor change.
* TheGenericGuy: Compared to the other pups, he has little to no distinct personality traits of his own, and is usually only called for backup.
* HelicopterPack: His flight pack works on propellers rather than jets, and also allows him to fly underwater.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Rocky.
* MakingASplash: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, he gains the ability to spray water from his paws, and create giant waves.
* MeaningfulName:
** He’s named after a famous beach in Malibu and he's a lifeguard pup.
** "Zuma" means peace in Arabic, and he's shown to be laid-back.
* OutOfFocus: While the other pups get their fair share of screen time, Zuma tends to just fade into the background due to his water skills not being needed in most of the missions.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: This trope is why Zuma initially has ElmuhFuddSyndwome and also why it was dropped. Emily Thorne couldn't pronounce her R's properly so Zuma couldn't either; then when Carter took over his brother, he could pronounce his R's just fine so they decided to drop the trait over time.
* ShesAManInJapan: putting aside the fact some people mistake Zuma for a girl at first, even some actual dubs mistake Zuma to be a female. The Brazilian dub of the show gave him a female actress in the role in Season 1, but once they realized he was in fact a male, his second actor called him with male pronouns and also re-dubbed the S1 lines.
* SignatureInstrument: He always has his tambourine in his mouth whenever the PAW Patrol band is called to play.
* SuperNotDrowningSkills: Non-video game example, as Zuma has demonstrated a decent lung capacity when he's not using his equipment (such as when he gave his oxygen mask to Wally to keep the walrus from drowning due to being trapped by a net). It's justified, given Zuma's water rescue training.
* ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman: Zuma only is assigned to aquatic missions for the most part, meaning he is called into action the least amount of times. Fortunately, due to the setting being Adventure ''Bay'', he does manage to get a few good missions in. He also makes decent back up in non-water missions where all that's needed is an extra set of paws.
* TotallyRadical: Zuma tends to refer to people as "dude".
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In "Aqua Pups: Pups Save a Floating Castle", his sharing a paw bump with Moby grants the Merpup the ability to talk and become a land pup.
* VocalEvolution: As in later seasons, Zuma still has his radical-voice, but sounds much deeper.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Averted, as Zuma is the only one out of the six pups who is not shown to be afraid of anything. This is most notably seen in the FaceYourFears episode, where he seemed to just be there for moral support.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_captain_turbot.png]] [[caption-width-right:350:"This cap'n can do!"]]
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RonPardo (NA English), Andy Turvey (UK English)[[labelnote:additional [=VAs=]]]Creator/MartialLeMinoux (French), Rodrigo de la Paz (Latin American Spanish), Sa Seong-woong (Korean), Keiichi Tsuzita (Japanese), Creator/GiladKleter (Hebrew)[[/labelnote]]

Cap'n Turbot is the PAW Patrol's most frequent caller and best human friend. He is Adventure Bay's marine biologist and watchman, who provides Ryder and the pups with information on the bay's wildlife. He serves as a member of the PAW Patrol team in the Merpup-themed specials.

* AddedAlliterativeAppeal: He refers to various creatures and scenarios he comes across in this manner. In fact, he speaks alliteratively so much that Ryder must "translate" for the pups on occasion.
* BlackBeadEyes: Unlike the other humans, he has dots for eyes. He gains more realistic eyes with irises in the movie.
* BlindWithoutEm: He's prone to wandering around aimlessly when he loses his glasses.
* ButtMonkey: He is sometimes treated as a human version of Marshall.
* TheCaptain: As his name implies, he's a captain.
* CharacterCatchphrase: His call-outs are "Turbot tackles trout!" and "This Cap'n can do!"
* CloudCuckooLander: Cap'n Turbot can be a bit out of it, at times, mostly due to being easily excitable.
* CordonBleughChef: He tends to make a number of seafood dishes that aren't very appealing to anyone other than himself (and sometimes Wally), such as squid jerky and fish cakes. He also baked a tray of cookies covered in jellyfish jam that, given the others' reactions to it, probably isn't as tasty as [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants jellyfish jelly]].
* DesignatedVictim: He earned the title of the PAW Patrol's most frequent caller because his expeditions land him in trouble on a routine basis. It's lampshaded when Ryder's monitor for displaying mission objectives has a special icon of Cap'n Turbot running around in circles and yelling, "Help! Help! Help!" (although this is phased out after season one).
* ExtremeOmnivore: Well, he does like eating a number of seafood products most people wouldn't eat. As well as doggie treats.
* GeniusDitz: Cap'n Turbot is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to marine biology, but not when the topic is social skills.
* GotMeDoingIt: Listening to Francois' French accent occasionally causes the Cap'n to pronounce "the" as "ze."
* InterspeciesFriendship: He is good friends with Wally, his pet walrus who lives in the water around Seal Island.
* LastNameBasis: He's rarely referred to by his first name. As revealed in "Pups Save the Turbots", his first name is Horatio.
* NerdGlasses: He wears thick square glasses and he definitely qualifies as nerdy.
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: He's a marine biologist, but in "Pups Bark with Dinosaurs" and "Pups Save a Big Bone," he's also a paleontologist. In "Pups Save a Lucky Collar," the Cap'n is shown conducting owl research, so apparently he's a biologist of all sorts.
* {{Omniglot}}: Not only SpeaksFluentAnimal, but he is also able to understand alien, and even ''alien rock''.
* PromotedToOpeningTitles: Cap'n Turbot gets a part in the updated intro for season three, along with Everest and the PAW Patroller. In the theme, he's shown helping the PAW Patrol on a dinosaur mission.
* RedOniBlueOni: Cap'n Turbot is intellectual and calm (blue), contrasting with Francois' enthusiastic and extroverted (red) personality.
* SillyWalk: His normal walk is very clunky and awkward.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: He knows a lot about ocean animals, and he wears glasses.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: He has learned to speak quite a few different animal languages, such as narwhal, whale, and merpup.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Cap'n Turbot often snacks on squid jerky, and is usually the only one who wants any.

[[folder:Robo-Dog]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_robo_dog.png]]

A RobotDog invented by Ryder. He debuted in "Pups Save Ryder's Robot" and continues to appear as the driver of the team's mass transit vehicles, which include Vehicle No. 08, [[BaseOnWheels the PAW Patroller]], and Vehicle No. 10, the Air Patroller. Note that he himself is not designated with a number as he has no vehicles of his own (with the only exception being a toy-exclusive mini-cruiser that comes with the Mission Cruiser).
* AIIsACrapshoot:
** When his antennae was damaged, Robo-Dog ran amok through Adventure Bay.
** When Alex tried to fix him in "Pups In a Fix," he accidentally caused Robo-Dog to go on a "fixing" spree across town, "improving" things far beyond what was necessary, such as causing the Lookout's lift to launch itself into the air.
* AscendedExtra: He gets a little more focus during season three, even being given his own Pup Pack.
* TheDriver: The one in charge of handling all of the PAW Patrol's team transport vehicles in the series, which are:
** No. 8: PAW Patroller, the team's very first team vehicle and has been their main land transit vehicle since Season 2. However, the original PAW Patroller has since been lost due to the Cheetah's actions and is replaced by a newer, upgraded PAW Patroller. In the Aqua Pups subseries, it has also been upgraded to have an underwater transformation in the form of the Whale Patroller.
** No. 10: Air Patroller, a VTOL aircraft and the main base during Air Pups missions.
** No. 12: PAW Terrain Vehicle/Arctic Terrain Vehicle, toy-exclusive all-terrain vehicles. Note that this is only presumed, as unlike the other toy-exclusive vehicle, these two don't have Robo-Dog figures included.
** No. 13: Pirate Patroller, a toy-exclusive pirate-themed VTOL aircraft similar to the Air Patroller with amphibious capabilities.
** No. 14: Mission PAW Cruiser, a more compact land transport designed for Barkingburg's narrow streets.
** No. 15: Sea Patroller, a landing craft vessel which is actually the Beach Tower HQ transformed. Used exclusively in Sea Patrol missions, it then can transform into an amphibious mode with giant land wheels.
** No. 16: Sub Patroller, a transport submarine that comes with the Sea Patroller.
** No. 17: Mighty Jet, a jet powered by the Mighty Pups powers. Used in Mighty Pups missions pre-The Mighty Movie.
** No. 18: Mobile Pitstop Vehicle, a mobile pitstop used only in the ''Ready, Race, Rescue'' special.
** No. 20: Dino Patroller, an all-terrain vehicle used in the rugged Dino Wilds.
** No. 25: Aircraft Carrier HQ, their base of operations in ''The Mighty Movie''. Note, again, that this is only presumed, since this giant vehicle has yet to appear in the series and the feature films intentionally leave Robo-Dog out of them so that Ryder has the sole focus of driving the team vehicle.

* CrisisMakesPerfect: He is first seen attempting to master a stunt involving three flips, and failing. But he finally pulls it off when he needs to jump his bike onto the runaway ferris wheel.

The troublemaking mayor of Foggy Bottom. He often takes part in contests with Mayor Goodway.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: The citizens of Adventure Bay are angry when he is around, especially when he tries to run a city normally ran by a good mayor who has straighter morals than him. He's no better seen by the citizens of Adventure City in the movie after becoming their new mayor, as his opponent during the election was way more favored before they suddenly dropped out and caused Humdinger to win by default. Their opinion of him unsurprisingly manages to sink even lower after he repeatedly puts them all in danger with his antics.
* AtrociousAlias: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Vs. the Copycat", he is given the unflattering sidekick name of "Foggy Boy" by the Copycat.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Ever since the first ''Mighty Pups'' special, Humdinger has wanted superpowers of his own. He finally got them in "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Save a Mega Mayor"... and turned into a [[{{Manchild}} childish]] brute, whose only goal was to get as many kitties to play with as possible.
* BizarreTasteInFood: "Pups Save a Good Mayor" reveals that his favorite ice cream flavor is ''spinach''.
* BondVillainStupidity: Plays it straight. When he managed to kidnap at least one PAW Patrol member, or steal an artifact, his plans always backfires which results in him getting in trouble, saved by the heroes and receiving punishment for his actions.
* ButtMonkey: He regularly suffers humiliations and embarassment. It's at its worst in "Pups Vs. Three Super Baddies"; not only is he left out of the VillainTeamUp (even though he came up with the idea of stealing the Mighty Meteor), he ends up being forced to help clean up the mess, despite him pointing out that he had little to do with it.
* {{Catchphrase}}: In earlier seasons after the Kitten Catastrophe Crew was introduced, he would say "You know what to do, Catastrophe Crew" when giving his kittens orders, but this was eventually dropped.
* ChasteToons: He has a nephew, Harold.
* CheatersNeverProsper: He commonly resorts to cheating to win, only to have the PAW Patrol dismantle his efforts, or for those efforts to backfire on him.
* ColorMotifs: Purple.
* CompetitionFreak: He regularly challenges Mayor Goodway to contests, intent on using them as a way to prove himself superior. In "Pups Save the Marooned Mayors", he claimed he would catch a fish before her (and by that logic, be the "greatest mayor").
* ComplexityAddiction: In "Pups Save the PAW Patroller". After his own television breaks, he decides to steal the PAW Patroller so he can watch his favorite show on its screen. After the PAW Patrol reclaims the PAW Patroller, Ryder [[StatingTheSimpleSolution points out]] that Humdinger should have just bought a new television instead.
* DastardlyWhiplash: He may not be all in black, but the top hat, the mustache, and the suit all qualify.
* DemotedToDragon:
** In the ''Ready, Race, Rescue'' special, he follows the lead of his cousin, The Cheetah.
** In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Vs. the Copycat". He tries to make the Copycat his new sidekick, but the villainous feline turns this around on him, and makes Humdinger ''his'' sidekick instead.
* DidNotThinkThisThrough:
** In "Pups Take The Cake", he entered the exact same kind of cake in the baking contest as he did last year, saying "Once a winner, always a winner", which led to it being beaten by the pup's lookout cake.
** In "Pups Save a Ferris Wheel", he tried to steal a Ferris wheel from Adventure Bay and roll it back to Foggy Bottom... only to discover he had no way of controlling where the wheel went.
** In Pups Save Monkey-Dinger", he decided to put on the mystical monkey mask, never stopping to think what exactly the "mystical monkey power" would do to him.
** "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save a Movie Monster": He stole the remote to Gigantasaur, despite not knowing how it worked. And when that failed, he tried to force the machine to Foggy Bottom by grabbing onto its tail, leading him to being dragged around by it.
** In "Pups Save Election Day", he runs for mayor of Adventure Bay, never considering that, with all the trouble he regularly causes, the citizens wouldn't want to vote for him. In the end, he doesn't get a single vote.
* DreadfulMusician: In "Pups Save Gustavo's Guitar", he believed he could play the guitar extremely well. But when he started playing Gustavo's guitar, he made a noise so bad that the Kitten Catastrophe Crew snatched the guitar away from him.
* DubNameChange: In the Japanese dub, he is literally named Mayor Rival.
* EntertaininglyWrong: In the ''Mighty Pups'' special, he fully believed travelling into space would grant him ownership of it.
* EntitledBastard:
** In "Pups Save a Gold Rush", he attempted to steal all of Mayor Goodway's uncle Otis's gold so he could make a statue of himself, believing he "deserved" to be a statue.
** "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save a Movie Monster": Even after all the trouble he caused, he claimed "if anyone deserves popcorn, it's me!"
** In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze". Even after Harold betrays him and takes the meteor fragment for himself, Humdinger immediately believes the machine Harold is putting together with his restored powers is a "mayormobile" for him.
** In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Stop a Humdinger Hoard", he claims that people should do everything he says, simply because he's a mayor.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: When he debuted in "Pup Pup And Away", he originally wore a flight cap and a scarf. They were later replaced with his regular [[ClassyCravat cravat]] and top hat.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He legitimately cares about his kittens very much, frequently buying things for them, begging Ryder and the pups to save them from something, and sincerely if begrudgingly thanking them afterwards. He also genuinely cares about his family, at the very least not abandoning his niece and nephew when their own plans inevitably fail. This is only cemented by the introduction of his kindhearted mother, Helga Humdinger, where we see his schemes actually be for someone else's benefit.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood:
** When the PAW Patrol tried to stop him from stealing the golden bones in "Ultimate Rescue: Pups and the Hidden Golden Bones", he believed they just wanted the bones for themselves, and thought the claim of the chamber collapsing was a "likely story".
** In "Pups Save a Chicken Tulip", he tries to sabotage Mayor Goodway in the search for the rare flower so his mother can find it instead. He's promptly left flat-footed when Helga joins the Mayor's route, as Helga doesn't particularly care about getting the glory.
* EvilIsPetty:
** In "Pups Save a Stinky Flower", he gave Mayor Goodway the "gift" of a foul-smelling flower that was due to spread its seeds all over Adventure Bay, for no reason other than to be rotten.
** In "Pups Save the Carnival", he was caught cheating at one of the carnival games, and banned from it. His response was to have the Kitten Catastrophe Crew sabotage the whole carnival and steal all the prizes.
** In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Stop A Big Bad Robot", when Harold shows off his rebuilt robot's new teleporting weapon, he suggests using it to go on a hat-snatching spree.
** In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Stop a Humdinger Hoard", his reaction to Katie telling him she can't wash his kittens because she's closing for lunch is to build his own pet salon out of spite, and later, to use his super-clones to steal the whole building.
** In "Pups and the Stinky Bubble Trouble", he tries to play an extremely petty prank on the lookout tower while the PAW Patrol is away.
** In "Pups and Katie Stop the Barking Kittens", he has his kittens cause trouble throughout Adventure Bay for no reason but to amuse himself.
* EvilLaugh: He has one.
* EvilUncle: Serves as this to Harold. Although Harold often proves himself to be worse than he is (and more competent, to boot).
* ExtremeDoormat: To his cousin in "Pups Stop the Cheetah". While staying at his lair, the Cheetah practically eats him out of house and home, and ultimately leaves him behind to enact her plans (which he had given her). Humdinger barely speaks a word of protest over any of this.
* FatBastard: He's a bit fat, and he's villainous.
* FatalFlaw: {{Greed}}. Once he decides he wants something, he goes to absurd (and often unnecessary) steps to try and get it, leading to him getting into trouble along the way. Not to mention he is never satisfied with what he has, so even if he does get what he wants, he sabotages himself trying to get even a little more (such as in "Pups Save a Hum-Mover" and "Pups Save the Trick-or-treaters").
* {{Flanderization}}: He started out as simply TheRival to Mayor Goodway. But over time, he has become a full-fledged DastardlyWhiplash-style villain, with his plans descending into petty and childish goals, such as stealing a pinata, or entering a pie swap just so he can steal them all.
* FreudianExcuse: His desire to make Adventure Bay look bad and attempts to bring glory to Foggy Bottom is no doubt due to what a dingy, downcast place his town is.
* GadgeteerGenius: He created the robotic cat Meow-Meow, and in "Pups Save a Trash-Dinger", a trash collecting and compacting truck.
* GaveUpTooSoon: In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: When Super Kitties Attack", Humdinger takes time out of his and Harold's attempt to find another piece of the meteor to take a nap. Moments after he leaves, Harold finds the meteor piece, allowing him to enact his own plans.
* HisOwnWorstEnemy: His impatience, recklessness, and lack of forethought have dismantled his plans just as much (or even moreso) as the PAW Patrol has.
* HulkingOut: In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Save a Mega Mayor", he invoked this, and, in true [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHulk Hulk]] style, [[DumbMuscle lost his intelligence]] as a result.
* {{Hypocrite}}:
** In "Pups Save the Chili Cook-Off", he has the nerve to accuse Adventure Bay of cheating when the pups' chili wins the cook-off, despite the fact that he had been cheating the entire episode (and is subsequently exposed as having used store-bought chili in his recipe).
** In "Pups Save an Underground Chicken", he is punished for trying to steal the golden Chickaletta statue by being forced to clean it. He loudly complains, stating that he shouldn't be doing it because he's a mayor. This in spite of the fact that he hardly ever ''acts'' like a real mayor (especially since mayors don't steal from other mayors).
** "Pups Save the Go-Kart Racers": Despite his own tendency to gloat and mock others when he thinks he's won, he calls Alex a "sore winner" for coming in first place.
** At the end of "Pups Stop a Pie-Clone", he complains about not getting one single pie, even though the whole mess started because he wasn't satisfied with the idea of getting one single pie.
* IRejectYourReality:
** In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save a Movie Monster". Despite admitting to himself the multiple reasons why Foggy Bottom isn't the best place to film a movie, he still tried to get Gigantasaur to go there in hopes of forcing the production to move there as well.
** In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Adventure Bay Games". After coming in last in every event of the games, he steals all the gold medals, claiming that this will make him a "super champion".
** In "Pups Save a Sweet Mayor", he quickly convinces himself that the golden egg the Princess of Barkingburg gifted to Mayor Goodway was really meant for him instead.
* IgnoredEpiphany: In "Pups Save Friendship Day", Mayor Goodway told him he could have more friends if he just treated people more nicely, and he seems to go along with it, joining in on the Friendship Day celebrations. But, as later episodes show, this didn't take.
* ImplausibleDeniability:
** In "Pup-Fu", he insists he had absolutely nothing to do with the theft of Yumi's scroll. He's facing three members of the PAW Patrol with strong circumstantial evidence, and absolutely none of them believe a word he says.
** In "Pups Save the Cat Show", he insists that his entry into the show, Meow-Meow, is not a robot, even though Meow-Meow is currently flying above the show on its rocket paws.
* InsistentTerminology: In "Pups Save the Go-Kart Racers", he claims that his cheating is more like "guaranteed winning".
* ItsAllAboutMe: He doesn't care who his plans hurt, as long as he gets what he wants. This was best shown in "Pups Save a Duck Pond", where he drained the titular duck pond, leaving the ducks without a home, to fill his own private swimming pool.
* KarmaHoudini: He's committed more than enough crimes to get sent to jail, [[RuleOfDrama but then the show would be over]].
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: [[spoiler:He finally receives this at the end of the movie, being imprisoned for all his crimes.]]
* LaserGuidedKarma: In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups and the Hidden Golden Bones"; after his attempts to steal the bones almost caused adventure Bay to sink into the ground, the same bones are used to prop up the area above their hidden chamber. Since trying to steal them would trigger a collapse right above him, Humdinger has no choice but to leave them there.
* LethallyStupid: Never learns his lesson, and is always creating havoc in Adventure Bay rather than doing his job as an elected official. One has to wonder just ''how'' he stays in office after all the illegal acts he's committed. In "Dino Rescue: Pups and the Lost Dino Eggs," he refuses to let go of a baby T-Rex, even when its angry mother is chasing after him.
* MayorOfAGhostTown: Implied to be this in "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save a Movie Monster", where he admits to himself that Foggy Bottom doesn't have a lot of people.
* MayorPain: A mix of both The Wilkins and Quimby varieties. He seems to spend far more time causing trouble in Adventure Bay than actually working his job as the mayor of Foggy Bottom.
* MeaningfulName: The term "Humdinger" means "something extraordinary or remarkable of its kind".
* TheMillstone: In "Pups Save the Marooned Mayors". Practically every action he takes just makes things worse for himself and Mayor Goodway.
* MommasBoy: Revealed to be this in "Pups Save the Chicken Tulip", where he does everything he can to ensure his mother finds the eponymous flower first.
* MoralMyopia:
** He regularly cheats and resorts to underhanded deeds, but treats it like an outrage if he gets punished for it, and will even claim that it's "not fair".
** In "Pups Save Thanksgiving", he believes himself to be the nicest person he knows, in spite of all his wicked deeds.
* {{Narcissist}}:
** In "Pups Save Friendship Day", he thought a cake shaped like himself was the best gift ever, even thinking it was "too beautiful" to eat.
** In "Pups Save a Good Mayor", he takes over Adventure Bay in Mayor Goodway's absence, forcing everyone to dress like him and eat his favorite food. He also puts up a giant poster of himself.
** In "Pups Save Heady Humdinger", he has his kittens carve his face into a mountainside.
* OneHourWorkWeek: While Goodway is often seen doing her job, Humdinger has a lot of time to hang around Adventure Bay messing with Goodway. It probably helps that we never, ever see any other residents. Mayor Goodway even lampshades the fact that he's always snooping around Adventure Bay in "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Royal Kitties".
* PlayingSick: In "Pups Save a Hum-Mover", he fakes a broken foot to get out of losing a race, then uses the sympathy from his "injury" to get free things from the people of Adventure Bay.
* PsychopathicManchild: In later seasons, his evil schemes involve things such as trying to steal toy prizes from a carnival, or even snatching all the candy from trick-or-treating kids on [[UsefulNotes/AllHallowsEve Halloween]].
* TheRival: To Mayor Goodway. Arguably has become Ryder's rival as well after the introduction of the Kitten Catastrophe Crew, at least in terms of contrasting Ryder's leadership and technical expertise.
* SignatureHeadgear: In Season 1, he wore an aviator's cap. From Season 2 onward, he took to wearing the purple top hat that has since become his defining clothing item.
* SmartBall: Surprisingly enough, he holds this in the ''Ready, Race, Rescue'' special; When the Cheetah scoffs at the idea of Marshall being a challenge after she beat him before, Humdinger points out that Marshall is being trained by the Whoosh, meaning that he won't be so easy to beat the next time they race.
* SmugSnake: To mustache-twirling levels.
* SoreLoser: Will usually complain or storm off when he is defeated.
* StupidEvil: He repeatedly tries to cause trouble around Adventure Bay, oblivious to the fact that the PAW Patrol will always stop him. In "Pups Save a Ferris Wheel", he gloated to himself over lying to the PAW Patrol about not performing any more wicked deeds - even though those deeds never succeed. "Pups Stop the Cheetah" shows that he actually keeps a scrapbook chronicling his failed schemes - making it even more unbelievable that he's never learned from his mistake.
* SuperStrength: {{Averted|Trope}} In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Vs. the Copycat", he believes he gained superhuman strength when he becomes the supervillain "Foggy Boy", enough to [[spoiler:cause a tower to collapse by stomping on it though in reality the tower was constructed terribly]].
* SupervillainLair: He has a secret hideout in a cave outside Foggy Bottom.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: In "Pups Save a Hum-Mover", he cheats like usual during his race with Mayor Goodway, gaining the lead. But since he was relying on cheating to win, he never really bothered to train, and soon becomes exhausted, allowing Goodway to catch up to, and even pass him.
* TookALevelInJerkass: In Season 1, he was a pompous gloater, but he at least played by the rules. From Season 2 onwards, he is often seen resorting to cheating, and even sabotaging his competition in order to win.
* UltimateJobSecurity: How he has managed to keep his position, after all the illegal things he has done (he even has what seems to be an evil lair), is a mystery.
* UngratefulBastard: Humdinger has demonstrated that, upon being [[SaveTheVillain rescued by the PAW Patrol]] from something like falling to his death, he'll go right back to trying to screw them over.
* UnsportsmanlikeGloating: Loves to rub his past victories in Mayor Goodway's face.
* VillainDecay: Has become more incompetent as time goes by, with his own cheating ways often backfiring on him. "The Pups' Winter Wonder Show" even showed his scheme of the day failing ''without'' the PAW Patrol having to intervene (granted, he did give up, but still). Several later villains have proven their superiority over him by using, manipulating and humiliating him.
* VillainHasAPoint: In "Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze", he rightfully points out that Harold can't become mayor just by wearing his uncle's hat.
* VillainsOutShopping:
** In "Pups in a Jam", he takes part in the jam-making contest, with none of his usual cheating tactics.
** In "Pups Save a Sky Surfer", he is seen walking through Adventure Bay, minding his own business.
* VillainsWantMercy: He never hesitates to call the Paw Patrol himself when he needs rescued from the result of his latest scheme, no matter how much it irks him to need to do it.
* VillainTeamUp: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat", he teams up with Mr. Nibbles/The Copycat as his sidekick, "Foggy Boy". [[spoiler:Unfortunately for Humdinger, after Copycat's plan is foiled, he has no issue leaving Humdinger and the KCC for dead on top of his collapsing tower, forcing them to be [[SaveTheVillain saved by the PAW Patrol]]]].
* VillainyFreeVillain: Played straight in Season 1, where he mostly played fairly in all the competitions he participated in, with the only thing that made him an antagonist being his pompous attitude towards his opponents. {{Averted|Trope}} from Season 2 onwards as he starts employing outright immoral and criminal methods to ensure his victories.
* VocalEvolution: Mayor Humdinger's voice in the first season sounded very demanding and impatient, but in the first half of the second season, he sounds more low-pitched and mannish. Until later episodes, his voice is less-demanding and more higher.
* WouldHurtAChild: Has kidnapped the pups on several occasions and once caused active injuries to two of them while cheating at basketball. And then there's his assistance in Ryder's kidnapping in the ''Mighty Pups'' special.

A young pirate with a drive to steal anything he can get his hands on. He first appears in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis".

* AlliterativeName: '''S'''id '''S'''washbuckle.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Said word for word in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Their Pirated Sea Patroller":
--> "Shiny! Looks like something I need, need, need!"
* BenevolentBoss: Even though he never listens to Arrby's suggestions, Sid treats his first mate very well.
* BigBad: He's the main villain of the Sea Patrol arc.
* TheBusCameBack: After two years and seasons of absence, he finally returned to the show in Season 7's "Pups Save the Pupmobiles".
* ColorCodedEyes: His green eyes represent his ambition in stealing things.
* TheDeterminator: Implied in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save A Sunken Sloop", where he says he never gives up after Ryder asks him to give up the sloop.
* DressedToPlunder: Wears classic pirate clothes, such as a tricorner hat, boots, jacket and bandanna.
* DubNameChange: The French dub changed his surname to Laratisse.
* EvilIsHammy: Quite possibly the hammiest villain of them all.
--> "We need help! NEED IT!"
* EvilRedhead: Has red hair, and is very passionate about his piracy.
* {{Greed}}: Once he sees something, he decides he needs it, even if he already has several of the item in question.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Come on; no one who takes care of (and steals to provide for) a dog can be 100% evil.
* {{Keet}}: He is fairly easily excitable. Sometimes to the point of knocking his hat over his eyes.
-->'''Sid''': Arrr! Well, I need AllOfThem, for something.
* LargeHam: Yells a lot of his lines, often slips into [[TalkLikeAPirate pirate-speak]], gets really excited over small things...yep, definitely fits the bill.
* LethallyStupid: In "Pups Save a Sunken Sloop", he just kept coming back, trying to take the sloop, even after it was made clear that the giant sea slug living in it would not allow that.
* MeaningfulName: A pirate with a surname based on "swashbuckler". [[IronicName However]], he normally is referred to as a buccaneer.
* MoralMyopia: In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Pirated Sea Patroller", he reacts to Ryder and the pups tricking him into abandoning the Sea Patroller in favor of a seemingly better-looking ship (actually a shadow) by saying it's "not fair". Ryder is quick to point out his hypocrisy.
* {{Narcissist}}: Shows shades of this, often calling himself a clever/sneaky pirate.
* NeverBareheaded: When he throws his hat to the ground in frustration in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis", he's shown to wear a bandanna underneath the hat.
* APirate400YearsTooLate: He displays multiple stereotypes associated with pirates.
* {{Pirate}}: Well, obviously.
* RedOniBlueOni: The RedOni to Arrby's BlueOni. Sid has none of Arrby's empathy and self-control, instead being a selfish LargeHam.
* RuleOfThree: He doesn't just need it. He need, need, '''needs''' it.
* SailorsPonytail: A pirate with a ponytail.
* ScoobyDooHoax: In "Pups vs. Ouchy Paws", he and Arrrby dress up as a legendary ghost so he can steal Danny's new skateboard.
* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: Has red hair and green eyes, and is the antagonist of the Sea Patrol episodes.
* SkewedPriorities: [[spoiler:He didn't care that the stolen Clam of Puplantis was weighing down his ship by making so many pearls; he just wanted to keep his loot.]]
* StickyFingers: Tries to steal anything that catches his eye, even mundane objects like life preservers.
* TalkLikeAPirate: Fitting his status as a pirate.
-->'''Sid''': Arrr! Why are we moving slowly?
* TeensAreMonsters: A vaguely teen-looking villain.
* VagueAge: Despite looking like a teen, the wiki lists him as an adult.
* VillainSong: He has one in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis": "Sid the Pirate".
* VocalDissonance: In the UK dub, his voice sounds like a 40-year-old junkie, which contrasts him having a healthy teenage body.
* YouthfulFreckles: If you look really closely, you can see that he has some freckles on his face.

Mayor Humdinger's nephew, a young inventor, and the main villain of the ''Mighty Pups'' special.

* AlliterativeName: '''H'''arold '''H'''umdinger.
* ChildishToothGap: He has a gap in his teeth.
* ChildProdigy: He's around the same age as Ryder and he's already an expert inventor, even though his inventions don't always work.
* DidntSeeThatComing: In "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups Stop a Big Bad Bot", he was unprepared for the Mighty Pups' new charged up powers.
* {{Egopolis}}: In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: When Super Kitties Attack", his plan to carve out Adventure Bay from the mainland, creating an island he can rule over, and intends to rename "Harold Humdinger Island".
* EnfantTerrible: He may be a little boy, but that doesn't stop him from committing acts that are even worse than his uncle's.
* EvilNephew: Albeit a rare example where the uncle is also evil.
* FreezeRay: He builds one in "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze", and tries to use it to turn the whole world into his own frozen kingdom.
* {{Hypocrite}}: In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze", his reaction to being frozen by Everest is to complain that it's "not nice to freeze people!" He does recognise this hypocrisy immediately after, though.
* IMeantToDoThat: A RunningGag is the helmet of his supervillain costume dropping down over his eyes, with Harold readjusting it and invoking this.
* InsufferableGenius: He's as arrogant as his uncle, but actually has the intelligence to back it up.
* {{Irony}}: After being stuck in the arctic at the end of "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze", Harold admits that he actually ''hates'' the cold.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Just like his uncle.
* RunningGag: His supervillain helmet tends to drop down over his eyes.
* TheStarscream: At first, he simply goes along with his uncle's plans. But near the end of the special, he takes charge, stealing the meteor for himself. He does this again in "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: When Super Kitties Attack"; after Humdinger abandons their attempt to find a piece of the meteor to take a nap, Harold finds it himself and puts his own EvilPlan into action. In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Stop Harold's Big Freeze", he snatches another meteor piece before his uncle can get it, and uses his returned powers to build a FreezeRay, with Humdinger being its first victim.
* {{Technopath}}: The meteor gives him the ability to control and assemble machines with his mind.

* CharacterCatchphrase: "If it shines, it's mine!"
* DePower: The necklace that gave her her powers is removed by Tuck.
* {{Flight}}: One of the abilities granted to her by the meteor fragment.
* GagNose: She has a big pointy nose that looks like a beak.
* HartmanHips: With or without her supervillain costume, she easily has large hips and a big butt, which is highly unusual for a preschool series.
* {{Narcissist}}: The reason she steals shiny objects is so she can look at her reflection, and praise herself.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Her real name is never mentioned.
* RunningGag: She is often referred to as "Birdlady", deeply annoying her.
* StickyFingers: She snatches up every shiny object she can get her hands on.
* SuperStrength: Another of her powers, allowing her to lift even the golden Chickaletta statue.
* TronLines: Her supervillain costume has glowing blue lines.
* VillainExitStageLeft: She is last seen chasing after a crab that picked up her necklace.

One of the five racers who competes in the Adventure Bay 500 and is Mayor Humdinger’s cousin. She is the Whoosh’s fiercest competitor who uses glue, tire spikes, smoke screens, a plunger and a KRC Insignia that is infused with an EMP. She hatches a plan to steal the other racer’s cars in order to be the last racer standing, which Humdinger is forced to do. When Humdinger accidentally kidnaps the Whoosh. she commands him to get him away from the Race until she wins.

* AnimalMotifs: Name notwithstanding, her racing outfit is very obviously cheetah-themed, with her shirt having a cat face, her helmet with cat ears, her shoes having cat paws on the soles, and a spot pattern that adorns the helmet, sleeves and pants. This theming carries over to her car during the first race.
* TheBusCameBack: She returns in "Pups Stop the Cheetah", nearly two years after her first appearance. She comes back again in "Mighty Pups vs. the Mighty Cheetah."
* CompressedHair: She wears her hair in twin pigtails, which are somehow able to fit inside her racing helmet with no trouble at all.
* CripplingTheCompetition: Managed to defeat the Whoosh and Marshall at the first race and stealing the cars preventing three racers to race.
** Sabotaging the Whoosh's vehicle twice. First by stopping him at the starting line and later causing him to crash into the field, spraining his arm.
** She uses the rope from her vehicle and slingshots to render Marshall dizzy.
* FatalFlaw: Her Ego. She always aims to be first and resorts to cheating to win the race.
* HumiliationConga: First, she loses the big race to Marshall. Then, dizzy from her last-ditch attempt at cheating backfiring, she runs afoul of her car's own tricks. Finally, she falls off her cousin's kitty carrier as they retreat.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Even more so then her cousin. When Humdinger shows her spy footage of Marshall being trained by the Woosh, she initially dismisses it, due to not being in the footage herself.
* MoralMyopia: When one of her cheating attempts actually helps Marshall to keep up with her, she cries out "No fair!"
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Is only ever referred to by her racing name.
* IShallReturn: "The Cheetah Shall Return!" (falls flat) "HEY! Wait for me!"
* PunnyName: For 2 reasons. Named after the Cheetah predator and she cheats during the race.
* PimpedOutCar: She steals the other racers' cars to enhance her cheating gear.
* RelatedDifferentlyInTheAdaptation: The Japanese dub changes her relationship to Mayor Humdinger to niece and uncle instead of cousins.
* RemovingTheRival: Managed to cripple the Whoosh, preventing him from racing in the Round the World Road Rally.
* StartMyOwn: In "Pups Start the Cheetah", she decides to create her own racetrack, and attempts to destroy the jungle to do so.
* UngratefulBitch: In "Pups Stop the Cheetah". Her cousin invited her to stay over, and gives her the idea to steal the PAW Patroller. She shows no gratitude toward him for either of these, Eating all the food in his lair and callously leaving him in the dust.

!!!'''Voiced by:''' Ashton Frank (English)
The Princess of Barkingburg's distant cousin, and the main villain of the ''Jet to the Rescue'' special.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: He initially presents himself as friendly and kind... before revealing his true colors.
* BlatantLies: After being defeated, he tries to pass off his actions as a "prank".
* ILied: He forms an alliance with Sweetie to steal the Jewel of Barkingburg, claiming that he will help her be queen... only to betray her and take the jewel for himself.
* LazyBum: He never flies his jet himself, instead having his pet eagle Jean-Claude do all the work. He also relies on Claw to do all the work in "Rescue Knights".
* MilesGloriosus: Despite not flying himself, he considers himself the greatest pilot ever.
* NeverMyFault: In "Rescue Knights: Pups Save a Sleeping Dragon", he blames Claw for their plan's failure, claiming "this is what I get for listening to a dog". He completely overlooks the fact that he was the one who approached Claw for an alliance in the first place.
* TheUsurper: What he wants to be. His goal is to oust his cousin from the throne and make himself King of Barkingburg.

Codi Gizmody is a 10 year old high-tech inventor. She's the main villain of the "All Paws on Deck".

* BitchInSheepsClothing: She initially seems friendly, but quickly proves to be self-centered and uncaring.
* ChildProdigy: She's 10 years old and a famous inventor. Rocky once idolized her until she revealed her true colors.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: She sends the Ryder and the Paw Patrol to a different location, but she doesn't think they will come back and try to stop her. She tried to use her invention on the townspeople, but she accidentally sent herself to the moon.
* {{Egopolis}}: She tried to turn Adventure Bay into her own city Codi Cove.
* EvilCounterpart: To Ryder. While they’re both High-Tech inventors, Ryder uses his skills to help others while Codi uses her skills for selfish gains
* FatalFlaw: Her Ego.
* {{Foil}}: She is a foil for Ryder and Rocky. For Ryder: both are inventors and are genuises. While Ryder uses his skills to help others while she uses her skills for selfish gains. She's also a foil to Rocky. For Rocky: Rocky tends to use old junk so he can recycle them and reuse them for better things. Codi however tends to rely on new robots.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: She ends up being sent to the moon by her own teleporter device.
* ItsAllAboutMe: She wants to buy Adventure Bay, but Mayor Goodway refused to sell it. So she tries to demolish the town to create her own dream city called Codi Cove, willing to endanger many lives to do so.
* {{Jerkass}}: She teleports people and buildings away from Adventure Bay, without a care as to where they might end up.
* {{Narcissist}}: She intends to rename Adventure Bay after herself.
* SpoiledBrat: She acts as a spoiled brat and she used to get what she wants, when she gets rejected, she throws a tanturm.
* WeWillMeetAgain: By the end of "All Pups on Deck", she is already planning to find a way off the moon so she can get revenge on the PAW Patrol.

* ShockAndAwe: Shards of meteor give her electric powers.
* TheyCalledMeMad: She constantly complains that everyone calls her a mad scientist (for obvious reasons).
* WouldHurtAChild: Victoria has no remorse about putting Ryder and the pups in mortal danger to get what she wants. [[spoiler:She left Skye on a crashing plane by removing the crystal that gave her powers, and then attacked her and the rest of the team with her electrical powers.]]

!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ChrisRock (NA English, Cat Rubble, Movie only)
A sextet of kittens in similar gear to the PAW Patrol, Mayor Humdinger has sometimes used them to sabotage competitions with Mayor Goodway.

* AssholeVictims: In one episode, Cali gives these mean-spirited cats their just desserts by letting them float away in giant bubbles.
* CatsAreMean: DependingOnTheWriter. While they are loyal to Humdinger, their first appearance had them show remorse and undo the damage they did. Their next appearance, however, has them right back to sabotaging things with glee.
* CatsHateWater: Clearly averted in the case of Zuma's counterpart.
* DirtyCoward: In "Pup Fu", they all ganged up on Marshall, but ran away when the rest of the pups came to back him up. Even Mayor Humdinger calls them "cowardly kittens" in response.
* DubNameChange: Unsurprisingly, the Kitten Catastrophe Crew is known as the Nyan Patrol in the Japanese dub.
* EnfantTerrible: They are kittens and are perfectly willing to assist Mayor Humdinger with his villainous schemes.
* EvilCounterpart: Well, not necessarily evil, but they are effectively an antithesis to the PAW Patrol, being a group that ruins, damages, and sabotages things on the orders issued out by their human organizer. In addition, none of them can talk, instead meowing like real cats.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: While they are not evil, sometimes they won't agree with Mayor Humdinger's actions.
** In "Pups Save a Flying Kitty", when Alex points out how Mayor Humdinger was more upset about his socks than his lost kitten, the rest of the crew gives him [[DeathGlare ire looks]], agreeing with Alex's point.
* IgnoredEpiphany: While they showed remorse for their actions in their debut episode, the next episode has them go right back to gleefully sabotaging things anyway. Some things don't change, do they?
* NoNameGiven: They are never given names on screen. If an episode summary mentions one of them (like "Pups Save a Flying Kitty"), they refer to them by the PAW Patrol member they resemble (like "Skye kitty").
* ThePsychoRangers: Their main role in the series, right down to wearing the same colors, uniforms, and equipment as the PAW Patrol, and having a kitten's paw in place of the usual pup paw insignia.
* SuddenlySpeaking: [[spoiler:In ''PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie'', Cat Rubble gains the ability to speak from a meteor shard. It doesn't last very long, though.]]
* UngratefulBastard: Like their owner, they rarely show any gratitude when the PAW Patrol saves them.

* CharacterTic: While in his larger form, he'll occasionally glitch and [[PokemonSpeak say "meow-meow"]].
* TheDriver: He served as this for Mayor Humdinger's tour bus in "Pups Save a Tour Bus".
* DubNameChange: The Japanese dub replaces the generic-sounding "Meow-Meow" with the more provocative "Myargarita". Why it was changed to be a PunnyName on the cocktail drink is anyone's guess.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Despite being modeled after Cali, and having a bow and eyelashes in small form, Meow-Meow is always referred to as male.
* EvilCounterpart: Could be seen as one to Robo-Dog, seeing as he is an additional, robotic member of the Kitten Catastrophe Crew.
* {{Flight}}: Like Robo-Dog, he has jet boosters in his paws that allow him to do this.
* MetalMuncher: In "Pups Meet the Cat Pack", his new form requires him to eat lots of metal in order to keep his power levels up.
* RobotMe: His appearance is based on Cali's.
* SuddenlySpeaking: When Mayor Humdinger upgraded Meow-Meow into the tiger-like Hench Cat, he acquired the ability to speak in perfect human language, to Mayor Humdinger's surprise.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: {{Inverted|Trope}}. While Meow-Meow is a robot with NoBiologicalSex, he has eyelashes and a bow in his initial form and is referred to with male pronouns despite this.

Sweetie is a White Highland Terrier owned by the Princess of Barkingburg. She makes her debut appearance in the episode "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown". Not content with simply being a pet, she has designs on the kingdom's crown.

She has her own version of a pup pack, containing tools she utilizes for thievery. She also has a purple roadster which turns into a hovercraft.

* AntiHero: [[spoiler:Becomes this in the ''Jet to the Rescue'' special.]] She still has her ambitions of coveting the crown afterwards, but has opened up to the idea of earning it legitimately as well as just swiping it off the Princess' head. In "Rescue Knights: Pups Save a Tournament", she competes without any underhanded tactics in mind, and was doing well until she unfortunately got caught in one of Claw's schemes.
* BigBad: Of most of her episodes.
* BitchInSheepsClothing ([[StealthPun Heh...]]): Pun aside, she can act nice and pleasant when she wants to, but her true personality is never far from the surface.
* TheBusCameBack: After "Mission PAW: Pups Save the Royal Throne", she suffered a long absence from the series, returning in "Mission PAW: Pups Save a Royal Concert", over a year and a half later.
* TheCameo: She makes a brief appearance in the ''Ready, Race, Rescue'' special, trying to steal the princess's crown while she's distracted by the race.
* CardCarryingVillain: Sweetie is aware of her misdeeds and takes pride in them, outright proclaiming herself to be bad and referring to Busby as her minion.
* CompanionCube: Her toy frog, Busby, whom she sometimes talks to as if it is alive.
* CuteIsEvil: She may seem sweet and cuddly, as her name suggests, but she is really a SpoiledBrat.
* DeadpanSnarker: Sweetie tends to be this sometimes, especially when annoyed.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: In "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", Sweetie attempts to escape by air in her hovercraft, but is chased by Skye. In an attempt to lose Skye, she performs a barrel roll, causing the crown of Barkingburg to fall off her head. Sweetie then unclips her seatbelt, dropping out of the hovercraft in an attempt to grab the crown. She immediately [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] her poor decision by yelling "That was a bad idea!"
* DoesNotLikeSpam:
** "Mission PAW: Pups Save the Princess' Pals" reveals that she can't stand regular puppy food.
** "Rescue Knights: Pups Break the Ice" shows that she has a very low tolerance for spicy food.
* DubNameChange: An odd version in the French dub; the dialogue calls her Vicky, but the subtitles call her Monange.
* EasilyForgiven: Played with. Despite her misdeeds, the Princess just can't stay mad at Sweetie... though she always sends her to her doghouse as punishment.
* EnemyMine:
** [[spoiler:She works with the PAW Patrol to stop the Duke of Flappington in the ''Jet to the Rescue'' special.]]
** She assists in defeating Codi Gizmody in "All Paws on Deck" (mostly because Codi's scheme ruined Sweetie's latest attempt to steal the crown of Barkingburg).
* EnfanteTerrible: She is a pup and evil.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler:In the ''Jet to the Rescue'' special. As much as she covets the Princess' throne, Sweetie has no desire to harm her to get it. She is also horrified when the Duke of Flappington attempts to drop Big Benji on the castle.]]
* EvilBrit: A naughty pup with a refined British accent. It's worth noting that she's one of the few characters on the show to receive no dub in the British English version, being covered by the same actress.
* EvilLaugh: She has one, which usually ends with a snort.
* FrameUp: After stealing the crown, she frames Chase with the theft.
* IronicName: She is anything ''but'' sweet, though she does eventually have her moments, such as in her brief cameo in "Pups Save a Bah Humdinger".
* LightIsNotGood: Her fur is pure white, and she is a sneaky and conniving pup.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: In "Pups Save a Golden Sweetie", she is horrified when her newfound MidasTouch turns Rubble into a golden statue.
* NoblewomansLaugh: First heard in her cameo in ''Ready, Race, Rescue'', she is fittingly given one in the Japanese dub, though the snort was removed when Season 4 has officially aired in Japan. Most likely because of cultural differences, especially since Japanese kids will learn [[spoiler: she has a heroic side]] three seasons in advance, with the ''Jet to the Rescue'' special airing in Japanese theaters concurrently with her debut season.
* PerformanceAnxiety: She is revealed to suffer from this in "Mission PAW: Pups Save a Royal Concert", freezing up in front of the crowd gathered to see Luke Stars.
* ScoobyDooHoax: In ''Mission PAW: Royally Spooked'', she tries to claim the castle of Barkingburg for herself by remotely controlling the suits of armor there, hoping to make the Princess and Earl believe it's haunted and make them abandon it.
* TheSnackIsMoreInteresting: In "Rescue Knights: Quest for the Dragon's Tooth", she is more interested in getting food than in what's happening around her.
* SpoiledBrat: After briefly being allowed to wear the crown, she orders a servant to bring her a hundred hamburgers, with the intention of taking a single bite out of each one.
--> '''Sweetie (to servant):''' You there! Get me a hamburger! No; a hundred hamburgers! I'm going to take a bite out of every one of them! ''Fun''!
* TokenHeroicOrc: Inverted. She is the first pup to play a villainous role on the show.
* Main/{{Troll}}: Sweetie is very mischievous and loves to mess with others, specifically the PAW Patrol and the princess.
* UngratefulBitch: She needed to be saved by the PAW Patrol in the first two ''Mission PAW'' episodes, but doesn't show any gratitude in either case. Averted in "Rescue Knights: Pups Save a Dozing Dragon", where she thanks Marshall for waking her up from her smoke-induced stupor without any backhanded comments.
* VillainousFriendship: She befriends Arrby in "Pups Save a Floating Royal Carriage".
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Once she frames Chase, she makes herself look like a hero by "recovering" the crown from him, and for a brief time is made the Queen of Barkingburg (until the PAW Patrol expose her lies).

* CatsAreMean: He beats out the Kitten Catastrophe Crew in terms of evilness.
* CatsAreSuperior: He is a cat, and is arguably the most dangerous villain in the show so far.
* CopycatMockery: He has a habit of mockingly repeating the words of those who annoy him.

* LackOfEmpathy: He is perfectly willing to let a meteor crush Adventure Bay if it means he becomes more powerful than the Mighty Pups, which would have ''killed'' who knows how many citizens.

The main antagonist of the "Rescue Knights" subseries, Claw is a Doberman pup and was a knight of Barkingburg before his ambition cost him his knighthood. His goal is to prove he's the best in all the land by taming a powerful red dragon he calls "Sparks".

* CheatersNeverProsper: In "Rescue Knights: Pups Save a Tournament", he attempts to use Sparks to sabotage his competition in the tournament, a plan which totally fails.
* DragonRider: Desperately wants to be one to the point it cost him his knighthood. He particularly sets his eyes on a red, purple-fire-breathing dragon he dubs as "Sparks". He gets his first taste of a successful dragon ride with the help of a magical dragon tooth that makes any dragon obey its wearer's commands.
* EvilBrit: A Barkingburg native and speaks in a posh accent? Unmistakably British. Wants to burn Barkingburg to the ground as disproportionate retribution for losing his knighthood? Unmistakably evil.
* FallenHero: The first antagonist in the series to be portrayed as such. He was stripped of his knighthood when he, to prove his greatness, tried to tame a dragon from the northern highlands, which is forbidden as the dragons are dangerous unless left undisturbed. Presumably, since he was worthy enough for being knighted in the first place, he performed heroic deeds on par to that of the PAW Patrol's rescues in the past. Alluded by his pup-tag, which is in the shape of a shield that has only ever been attributed to the PAW Patrol, meaning he was Barkingburg's equivalent of a PAW Patrol all by ''himself''.
* GlorySeeker: He wants to prove that he's the greatest knight in the land, and to him, that means taming the most dangerous creatures in Barkingburg, which are literal fire-breathing, flying dragons.
* GreenEyedMonster: He has dark-green eyes and believes he's the only knight Barkingburg needs. He doesn't take it kindly when the Princess of Barkingburg knights six other pups to take his place.
* MoralMyopia: He's convinced he is Barkingburg's one, true knight, in spite of his reckless and selfish actions.
* PhlebotinumBreakdown: Unusually for a character with a pup-pack, he has to argue with his own equipment to make it barely follow his commands, making him fumble his feats that would otherwise be impressive.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Covered in gray and purple armor, and wants to prove he's the most powerful of all the knights, which he succeeded at briefly when he was in command of Sparks.
* SymbolicallyBrokenObject: His emblem is the Barkingburg crown with a prominent crack, symbolizing the degradation of his knighthood.
* UngratefulBastard: In "Rescue Knights: Pups Save Excalibark", he shows no gratitude toward Chase for saving him from falling, since his plan was still ruined.
-->"Thanks for nothing!"

A fantastical monstrous creature hailing from the Dragon Highlands, and the reason why Claw is a threat to Barkingburg.

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: He has all the traits of a dragon as you'd expect: huge, red, immensely strong, can fly, and can breathe purple flame. Except he behaves more like a dog than the Doberman who tenuously commands him.
* TechnicolorFire: His flames are purple.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: As everyone finds out in "Pups Save a Dozing Dragon," he loves marshmallows so much that he swallows entire barrelfuls of them, and follows the orders of anyone who will give him even one single piece.

An anti-social Mer-pup, and the main villain of the ''Aqua Pups'' series. He gains the ability to speak and become a land pup after Zuma unwittingly gives him a paw bump.

* BlackSheep: He's the only Mer-pup to hate singing and dancing.
* CharacterCatchphrase: Usually utters "Bow-wow-wee!" when he's impressed by something.
* DelinquentHair: He has blue streaks in his hair tuft.
* GadgeteerGenius: An amateur inventor, able to build machines out of random junk.
* {{Irony}}: Despite his Mer-pup origins, he spends all of his screentime after his debut in his land pup form (even when he's in deep water, where [[ForgotAboutHisPowers changing back would be beneficial]]).
* ItsAllAboutMe: His debut appearance features him trying to raise the Mer-pups' castle, forcing them out so he can live there alone.
* {{Jerkass}}: Very unpleasant to his fellow Mer-pups.
* MeaningfulName: He's a Mer-Pup and is named after the titular book and character of ''Literature/MobyDick''. Also doubles as a StealthPun since Moby is shown to be a {{Jerkass}} to the other Mer-Pups, therefore one could say he has ADickInName.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Thanks to Zuma giving him a paw bump, Moby gains the ability to speak. He retains this ability even after being forcibly reverted back to Mer-pup form.
* UngratefulBastard: Skye and Coral save him from getting hit by some fish, and he barely even says "thank you" in Mer-pup.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He can now change from Mer-pup to land pup at will.

As her title says, Mayor Goodway is the mayor of Adventure Bay who frequently calls upon the PAW Patrol for help. Usually, it's for issues involving her pet chicken, Chickaletta.

* AmbiguouslyBrown: It's not clear what race Goodway is supposed to be, though she resembles an African-American. Her niece and nephew are even more ambiguous, maybe outright biracial.
* ChasteToons: Mayor Goodway has a niece and nephew, but no children of her own. Unless you count Chickaletta, whom she dotes upon.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: She wore teal shoes and a white blouse in Season One. In later seasons, she wears red shoes and a pink blouse.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of Luke Stars.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Well, she wears a purple skirt and is feminine...but we wouldn't exactly call her ''[[LargeHam graceful]]''.
* LargeHam: She tends to get a wee bit melodramatic when she needs help. Or whenever she speaks, really.
* MeaningfulName: Her name comes from the term "in a good way", citing that her intentions are always good.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Despite being overly dramatic, Goodway is a respectable mayor, who only wants what's best for her city.
* SeriousBusiness: In her distress calls, Mayor Goodway tends to regard every issue, whether minor (such as getting a bat out of the city hall belfry) or major (such as getting stuck out in the Bay on two occasions), with an overly dramatic flair. She also tends to get this way about Chickaletta, often freaking out more than the chicken does.
* TrueBlueFemininity: Wears a blue cardigan.
* VocalEvolution: Her voice has got more dramatic as the series went on.
* WideEyedIdealist: In "Moto Pups: Pups Save a Moto Mayor", she infiltrates the Ruff-Ruff Pack (under the alias of "Mayor Badway", believing that once she joins them, she can convince them to do nice things.

Cap'n Turbot's cousin and sidekick who works as a zoologist and nature photographer. He lives with the Cap'n in the Seal Island lighthouse and has a French accent.

* ArtsyBeret: Sports a purple one, being the resident (self-proclaimed) artiste.
* AttentionWhore: He ''loves'' attention, no matter how he gets it.
* BestOutOfInfinity: In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Frozen Flounder", he keeps challenging Horatio to thumb wrestling matching matches this way, leading up to the hundreds.
* BlackBeadEyes: Has these along with his cousin.
* CameraFiend: He is seen more often with his "special underwater high-def, hi-fi, Wi-Fi camera" than not.
* CharacterFocus: Francois initially appeared only to serve as Cap'n Turbot's foil, [[RedOniBlueOni to be the Red Oni to his cousin's Blue Oni]]. By Season 4, he anchors his own episodes. Take "Pups Save Francois the Penguin" for example, in which Francois is the central focus and the Cap'n is only mentioned.
* CompetitionFreak: Several episodes show him getting into competitions with his cousin. In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Frozen Flounder", he insisted on repeated thumb wrestling matches, despite the fact that Horatio had won every single one.
* EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench: Skye seems to think so. Whenever Francois needs rescuing, she can be heard saying "Poor Francois!" and she fawns over him in "Pups Save the Turbots."
* FrenchJerk: He has a habit of trying to claim all the credit for any discoveries he and his cousin make together. He also often talks down to the Cap'n, thinking he is the superior cousin, and often tries to best him in competition.
* GiftedlyBad: He hasn't taken a single good photograph, but considers photography his favourite hobby.
* GloryHound: He's eager to become famous, usually by taking pictures of rare and/or undiscovered creatures.
* HowDoYouSay: In "Pups Save the Critters", he stumbles when trying to remember an English word. "I am...how you say it...''good''?"
* IRejectYourReality: In "Pups Save a Frozen Flounder", he claims that he can't be beat in thumb wrestling... despite the fact that Horatio has bested him every time.
* LeeroyJenkins: Has a tendency to recklessly rush into things.
* NatureLover: He gets carried away with trying to locate rare creatures (including elephants, giant sea slugs, and blue-footed booby birds).
* {{Narcissist}}: A textbook example. Says things like "I am amazing, if I do say so myself," and "I was a brilliant young zoologist...I am such a genius." In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save the Pier", he enters a sculpture of himself in an art contest, believing it to be a "masterpiece".
* NeverMyFault: In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Frozen Flounder", his insistence on repeated thumb wrestling matches with his cousin leads to the Flounder getting trapped in frozen waters. When the PAW Patrol arrives on the scene, he makes a point of announcing that it ''wasn't'' his fault.
* RedOniBlueOni: Francois is an enthusiastic extrovert (red), contrasting with Cap'n Turbot's more intellectual and calm (blue) personality.
* RoundHippieShades: Francois wears a pair of perfectly round, purple-tinted glasses.
* SillyWalk: His run is just as awkward and clunky as Cap'n Turbot's.
* SkewedPriorities: In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save the Pier", he was more concerned with saving his statue of himself than getting off the unstable pier.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: He's a zoologist who wears a pair of round glasses.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: To the Cap'n.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: His competitive nature tends to bring out the worst in both himself and his cousin.
* YouPutTheXInXY: According to Mayor Goodway in "Pups Save a Tightrope Walker," "Francois puts the ''adventure'' in ''Adventure'' Bay!"

* NiceGirl: Very kind and even-tempered.
* OutOfFocus: Got hit with this in Season 5, where she only had six appearances, the lowest of any season so far.
* PinkMeansFeminine: She wears a pink shirt with magenta stripes and a pink headband.

* TheLoad: Played this role early on due to him getting himself into trouble and needing the PAW Patrol to rescue him. But he was later replaced for this role by Daring Danny X.
* OurGiantsAreDifferent: In one episode, Alex suddenly is a gigantic child who must return up a beanstalk before he causes more damage to Adventure Bay. Of course, it was shown to be AllJustADream, with Rubble nodding off before Giant Alex's appearance.
* RaisedByGrandparents: Neither of his parents appear in the series, as he apparently lives with his grandfather.
* TagalongKid: On occasions, most notably in the oddly titled "Pups Save Alex", where he provided the means to get Cali off the roof of Farmer Yumi's silo. Later on in the series, he even puts together his own "Mini Patrol", consisting of himself, Chickaletta, Cali, Little Hooty, a turtle and a bunny.

* NiceGuy: Jake is a very chill guy, who is even patient with Alex.

* FlyingSaucer: Their mode of transportation is the classic disc-shaped ship, which looks like something straight out of the ''[[WesternAnimation/TheJetsons The Jetsons]]''.
* InnocentAliens: The space alien just wanted to go back home to his mother after crashing in Adventure Bay. They have befriended Ryder and the PAW Patrol since then.

A boy introduced in mid-Season 3. He was inspired to become a daredevil after watching Ryder and the PAW Patrol. His stunts often cause him to get into trouble.

* AccidentalHero: In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save a Movie Monster", [[spoiler:he followed the pups around as they saved the day, and got enough footage to complete the film. However, he had no idea his camera was turned on, thus this trope occurs.]]
* AttentionWhore: In his later appearances, he constantly livestreams his stunts.
* BlushSticker: Like other human children, he has rosy cheeks.
* CharacterDevelopment: In his most recent appearances, he actually doesn't do anything stupid and instead is engaged in safer activities that just happen to go wrong.
* ChildishToothGap: Danny has a noticeable gap in his teeth.
* CoolHelmet: He usually wears one while doing his stunts.
* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: He was inspired to become a daredevil after seeing Ryder perform a daring leap with his ATV, overlooking the fact that Ryder only performed that act to carry out a rescue, not for fun or glory.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: When he first appeared, he wore [[http://paw-patrol.wikia.com/wiki/File:DD_9.png an outfit]] consisting of a white-and-green raglan and jeans.
* EveryoneHasStandards: In "Pups Save the Skydivers". As reckless as he is, even he knows you shouldn't try skydiving in strong winds.
* FearlessFool: At first. But when a stunt goes wrong, he's quick to call out for help.
* FieryRedhead: While he's not hot-tempered, he is easily excited and ''definitely'' has energy to spare. In Season 8, his hair became a more dull red to go with his CharacterDevelopment.
* HiddenDepths: In "Pups and the Mystery of the Driverless Snow Cat", he's shown to have an interest in engineering.
* HumiliationConga: In "Pups Save the Soapbox Derby", he spends the entire race in last place, with his go-kart consistently being outpaced by a ''turtle''.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He doesn't mean any ill...but he's still pretty disobedient and reckless.
* InsistentTerminology: He insists on being called "Daring Danny X" by everyone.
* KarmicNod: In "Pups Save A Freighter", after being [[ItMakesSenseInContext splashed by a whale]], he admits that he probably deserved it.
* LeeroyJenkins: Always throwing himself into dangerous situations. However, he seems to have mellowed out in Season 5 and 6.
* LethallyStupid:
** He is [[TheDeterminator determined]] to attempt all sorts of dangerous stunts, even ignoring the warnings of others to do so.
** When he decides to start delivering sports equipment, he accidentally mixes turtle eggs in with golf balls. They hatch while he's driving, then a hatchling falls onto his helmet visor and blocks his vision. Does he stop and remove it? No, he just tries to ''blow'' it off.
* TheLoad: Replaced Alex for this role. Danny's reckless stunts always land him in trouble and require the PAW Patrol to save him. Slowly becoming averted though.
* NoodlePeople: Downplayed; he's pretty lanky, but not to the point where it looks unnatural.
* OutOfCharacter: For some reason, in "Pups Save a Freighter", he doesn't insist on being called by his nickname.
* RaceLift: Downplayed; he remains white throughout the series, but Season 8 gave him more of a suntan.
* SocialMediaBeforeReason: In "Pups Save a Kooky Climber", he refuses to let Skye save him until he can record the save on his phone's camera.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In "Pups and the Mystery of the Driverless Snow Cat", where his remote control drone disrupts the signal of Everest's snow cat, causing it to go haywire.
* VagueAge: While he looks about the same age as Ryder (maybe a little older), he [[VocalDissonance sounds like a teen]]. However, DawsonCasting may be the cause of this.
* VerbalTic: He says the word "extreme" a lot.
* VocalDissonance: Danny is a kid, yet he sounds like an adult.
* VocalEvolution: In Seasons 3-4, his voice was very deep and lightly raspy. In Seasons 5-6, his voice is slightly higher and more nasal.
* WeaksauceWeakness: A stuntman in the making...who gets seasick.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: In "Pups Bear-ly Save Danny", it's revealed he is ''terrified'' of bears.

She has called the PAW Patrol as the Barky Bunch, the Growly Group, the Bow-wow Brigade, etc. By the end of "Pups Save a Show Jumper", it's shown that it's not really a case of MaliciousMisnaming as she genuinely tries to thank the PAW Patrol for their help, showing a bit of [[TheDitz airheadedness]] on her part.
* AnimalLover: In "Pups Save a Flamingo Dancer", after being saved by Big Hairy and seeing his dance moves, she nicely asks Big Hairy if she can make him a star, which Big Hairy gladly accepts. Her demeanor towards her animals and the fact that she does win contests (as evidenced by the ribbons she displays on her van) suggest she really does know how to take care of them, despite still being as snobby as ever.
* CompetitionFreak: She only shows up during competitions and she intends to win, even if a horse race turned out to be a race of an entirely different animal altogether.

The cameraman for [[ShowWithinAShow ''Hello, Adventure Bay!'']] who first appeared in "Pup a Doodle Do." He has since been the go-to cameraman for any show set in Adventure Bay.

* LeftItIn: What was supposed to be a day about Adventure Bay's history turns into a search-and-rescue for Chickaletta, which he didn't mind at all since it had action, comedy, drama, and the fact you can never rescue too many chickens.
* NoNameGiven: He's just there to point the camera at something or someone, usually Mayor Goodway.

Foggy Bottom's basketball team that appeared in "Pups Save a Basketball Game".

* AscendedExtra: The redheaded boy seems to have moved from Foggy Bottom to Adventure Bay, and has become a recurring extra alongside the other Adventure Bay citizens.
* OneShotCharacter: They appear in their debut episode to be Adventure Bay's rivals and were perhaps the catalyst to the Kitten Catastrophe Crew's creation and Mayor Humdinger's rise as the show's main antagonist, as episodes that involve outsmarting rivals (instead of natural disasters, lost chickens and birdbrained adults) have become more frequent after this one. All five appear again for a cameo at the end of "Pups Save a Mascot" but not as the Foggy Bottom Boomers, swapping their purple jerseys for light blue ones.
* ReusedCharacterDesign: They all resemble Ryder but with different hair and skin tone.

!!Roger
Roger is a truck driver who specializes in delivering frozen foods.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Only appeared in "Pups Chill Out", and was never heard from again. [[TheBusCameBack Until the very last episode of Season 7]], "Pups Save a Class Pet", where he's delivering sports balls instead of frozen goods.

Wally is a walrus who hangs around Adventure Bay, often seen with or around Cap'n Turbot.

* BigEater: Being a walrus kinda requires it.
* ChasteToons: {{Averted}}; he ends up having a pup with Walinda.
* DubNameChange: Maurice in the French dub.
* FacePalm: He does this whenever Turbot [[ComicallyMissingThePoint comically misses the point]] (as said below) or when some other mishap happens.
* HappilyMarried: As of Season 2, he's married to Walinda the purple walrus, and even has a pup with her.
* InterspeciesFriendship: He and Cap'n Turbot are pretty close friends. It helps that Wally's big on seafood.
* OfficialCouple: With Walinda.
* SilentSnarker: He has been shown to FacePalm whenever Cap'n Turbot is ComicallyMissingThePoint.
* WarmHeartedWalrus: A very nice and friendly fellow.

[[folder:Chickaletta]]
[[quoteright:120:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paw_patrol_chickaletta.jpg]]

Chickaletta is Mayor Goodway's pet chicken, and often the reason for her distress calls.

* AffectionateNickname: Mayor Goodway sometimes calls her "Chicken of my heart."
* AnimalSweetOnObject: In "Pups Save a Cuckoo Clock", she falls for the wooden cuckoo bird in Jake's antique clock.
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Save a Giant Chicken", exposure to the superpower-granting meteor causes Chickaletta to grow to giant size.
* CloudCuckooLander: Granted, she ''is'' a chicken. But Chickaletta tends to be pretty oblivious to what's going on around her.
* DubNameChange:
** Gallinetta in the French dub.
** Kylletta in the Danish dub.
* HiddenDepths:
** Despite being out of it for the most part, Chickaletta is quite good at playing ''Pup Pup Boogie''.
** ''Pup-Fu!'' reveals she's also skilled at a martial art called ''Hen-Kido''.
* TheStoic: Sometimes, in emergencies, when the Mayor is referring to her, she is either taking the situation in stride or napping.
** NotSoStoic: In some episodes, such as "Air Patrol: Pups Save a Flying Chicken", she actually does show the appropriate level of panic for the situation.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In "Pups and the Ghost Pirate", she and Cali run about, unwittingly causing the pirate ship to drift off with some of the cast trapped on it.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: "Pups Save an Outlaw's Loot" reveals that she's afraid of bugs.

Cali is Katie's pet cat who often ends up in predicaments.

* BigEater: One episode established her as having a big appetite.
* ButtMonkey: She ends up becoming one of these, to a degree, because of the situations she ends up in. Although she often brings it on herself.
* CatsAreMean: Averted, as she gets along with the pups. Although she can be quite cranky.
* DesignatedVictim: She tends to find herself in trouble on a regular basis, often needing rescue from the PAW Patrol as a result.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: To be fair, she's a non-anthropomorphized cat. But on the other hand, she does have a habit of just going after something she wants ([[ItMakesSenseInContext such as a tuna sandwich in a backpack hooked on a caboose railing]]), and getting into trouble because she doesn't think things through.
* SilentSnarker: Often shows her annoyance or exasperation by rolling her eyes.
* StockAnimalName: PlayedWith somewhat. While Cali is an alternate spelling of the very popular Callie, the latter is primarily used for calico/tortoiseshell cats rather than gray/white cats like Cali.
* TokenHeroicOrc: The only recurring cat in the show who isn't a villain before Wild Cat was introduced.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In "Pups and the Ghost Pirate", she and Chickaletta run about, unwittingly causing the pirate ship to drift off with some of the cast trapped on it.

Farmer Yumi's beloved farmhouse cow who first appeared in "Pups Fall Festival".

* DullSurprise: She's almost the animal version of the UnfazedEveryman. Loud noises will startle her a lot more than dangerous proximity to giant boys and vegetables or forced floatation from alien tech and magical Christmas stars.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Garbie]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ppgarbie.png]]

* ExtremeOmniGoat: He can eat entire watermelons and Pup-pads in one gulp, as well as entire gardens of tulips, to Mayor Humdinger's chagrin.
* SuddenlySpeaking: In "Pups Save a Flying Farmhouse", Farmer Al finds out that Garbie can talk (with a deep baritone provided by Ron Pardo) and play the piano, [[AllJustADream before waking up from his nap]].

A walrus pup born to Wally and Walinda.

* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: She's purple like her mother. At first she is more of a bright purple than her, but after she gets a little older it becomes closer to the same shade as her.
* BigEater: Is fond of food, just like her parents.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: A baby walrus with an adorably high-pitched voice.
* WarmHeartedWalrus: Like parents, like daughter.

* BabiesMakeEverythingBetter: The pups are always happy to see the Baby Whale around.
* CartoonWhale: She has a slightly square-shaped body with greyish-blue skin. The same applies to her mother, only she's completely gray and has bluish spots.
* IntelligibleUnintelligible: As seen in "Pups Save Friendship Day", Zuma is seemingly able to communicate with the whales, despite their inability to speak.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Zuma appears to be very good friends with the Baby Whale and her mother.
* TheSpeechless: As mentioned above, she can't talk and communicates by waving her flippers.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In "Pups Save the Diving Bell", she thinks the Turbots' diving bell is a toy and plays with it like a volleyball. This causes the bell to break and fall to the seafloor - with Cap'n Turbot and Francois inside.

* DubNameChange: Matti in the French dub.
* InterspeciesFriendship: She is good friends with Carlos.
* MischiefMakingMonkey: The mischief she does can range from the usual banana-throwing antics, to stealing objects like Ryder's Pup-Pad and ancient crowns, to life-threatening ones like ''driving a van towards an incoming train''. Nevertheless, she's not inherently malicious and she's always glad to see Ryder, Carlos, and the pups.

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pawpatrolhoots8.png]]

* CuteOwl: Small? Round? Hoots? Yes.
* DubNameChange: Known as "Fu-chan" in the Japanese dub, or more precisely, "ふうちゃん".
* InterspeciesFriendship: With Chase.
* MissingMom: Averted. His debut episode is about rescuing his mother. However, he is shown to be living alone after that, with no mention where his mother is now. One can only assume he left the nest and chose to live in Adventure Bay.
* OnlySaneMan: [[TheOwlKnowingOne True to his species]], he's the only member of the Mini Patrol who exhibits any form of competence. That may or may not include Alex.
* OwlsAskWho: His debut episode is chock-full of them. Chase even gets a knock-knock joke out of him.

[[folder:Giant sea slug]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ppseaslug.png]]
A giant pink sea slug that resides at the bottom of Adventure Bay. It first appeared in "Pups Save a Diving Bell".

* ArtisticLicenseBiology: If it's based on anything that's called a "sea slug", it's probably the sea hare, but it resembles your typical ordinary land slug more than anything else. Sea slugs in real life also probably don't reach the size of a small ship. And they don't giggle. Probably.
* EyeOnAStalk: Naturally, being a slug. It adroitly uses them as though they were limbs, causing panic and awe and [[ToonPhysics breaking the laws of physics]] in some cases.

* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Elizabeth wears a bow on the top of her head, while Henry wears a bow tie.
* UnwittingPawn: In "Mission PAW: Quest for the Crown", Sweetie used a toy mouse to get them to run past Chase, setting off his allergies and giving Sweetie the distraction she needed to steal the crown of Barkingburg.

A fictional character from a ShowWithinAShow of the same name. Apollo is a superhero dog who saves bunnies from the Spider King.

* ArtShift: He usually appears as a 2D sprite, but in "Pups Save Apollo", he finally gets a 3D model.
* BlackBeadEyes: His 2D sprite has these. When he appears in 3D, however, it's revealed he has InnocentBlueEyes.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He and his show are never mentioned again after Season 3, which is especially jarring since the Season 3 finale showed that they're beloved by the citizens of Adventure Bay so much that missing the ''Apollo the Super Pup Super Special'' counts as an emergency. Perhaps the special is a series finale.
* DistressedDude: In "Pups Save Apollo", he gets trapped in a spider web and the pups have to rescue him.
* {{Flight}}: His primary ability.
* LightIsGood: A show-white pup who is a superhero.

* BenevolentGenie: Grants Rubble's wishes without any hint of trickery, and even uses his magic to help the PAW Patrol without being asked to do so. However, they don't always end up the way it should since he's still new at the job.
* GenieInABottle: He pops out after Rubble winds up an old jack-in-the-box found in Farmer Al's barn.
* OurGeniesAreDifferent: Instead of a lamp, his living space is a jack-in-the-box, though it is ornamented with gold lamps on its sides.
