!Peter "Pedro" Donaldson
%%* TheAtoner
* BeAllMySinsRemembered: Peter hasn't forgotten what he did to Hero in ''NothingMuchToDo'', and he doesn't want anyone thinking he's an "All Around Great Guy."
* BrokenPedestal: An odd, internalized case.
* ByronicHero
* CantTakeCriticism: Peter doesn't respond well to his flatmates' well-intentioned comments on his overdrinking, undereating, and casual sex--thought to be fair, Ben's comments in particular are phrased pretty poorly.
* TheCaptain: What Peter was in ''NothingMuchToDo'', and [[spoiler:what he becomes again, in "RUSSIANFUDGE."]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: The "filled with remorse" kind.
* DeadpanSnarker
* ForTheEvulz: Not ''evil'', per se, but Peter definitely seems to be amused by other people's discomfort.
* HardDrinkingPartyGirl: GenderInvertedTrope, obviously, and more of a facade than Peter's real personality.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: As snarky and angry and disengaged as Peter is at the beginning of the series, he can never quite stop himself from looking out for his friends.
* MasterOfTheMixedMessage: Oscillates between bedding strangers in the living room and asking Balthazar out on almost-dates.
* MeaningfulRename: "Pedro" to "Peter." [[spoiler:In "A Sonnet," he reclaims "Pedro," signifying that he's made peace with his past.]]
* PhraseCatcher: No matter how much he rails against his former identity, Peter just can't get people to stop calling him an "All Round Great Guy."
* SourOutsideSadInside
* ThatManIsDead: Not so dramatic, but this is Peter's basic attitude toward All Around Great Guy Pedro Donaldson.
* TragicHero: Peter correctly explains that his life has followed the pattern of a classical tragedy. Nowadays, though, he's more of a ByronicHero.
!Benedick Hobbes
* [[spoiler:ADegreeInUseless]]
* BetaCouple: With Bea initially, as they're the established, stable couple who seem to have got over their drama in the last series. Things get more difficult later on.
* BrilliantButLazy: Ben can expound for minutes on the humanistic themes of Marlowe, can translate Latin phrases, and is a pretty talented vlogger. But... [[spoiler:it turns out he never does any schoolwork that doesn't appeal to him]].
* DecoyProtagonist: Ben narrates and edits most of the videos, and he is one of the protagonists of the prequel series. But while Ben is the star of the in-universe vlog series, it gradually becomes clear that he is ''not'' the protagonist of ''Lovely Little Losers''--Peter is.
* GeekPhysiques: The lean and lanky kind.
* KnightTemplar: Both Ben and Freddie let the rules get out of hand, but what Ben does with them is far worse.
* TheMatchmaker: Not a very successful one.
* ShipperOnDeck
!Freddie Kingston
* ControlFreak
!Stanley Balthazar Jones
* AscendedExtra
* TheCaretaker: Of Peter, and not in a healthy way.
* NiceGuy: Normally.
* TheQuietOne
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aquitaine]]
!Meg Winter
* AscendedExtra
* GoodBadGirl
* ShipperOnDeck
!Beatrice Duke
* BetaCouple: Initially she and Ben are the more stable, established couple to Peter and Balthazar's drama. Then things get complicated.
* DeadpanSnarker: Big time.
* DemotedToExtra: Main character in Nothing Much To Do, minor character here.
* {{Hypocrite}}: According to Meg's song.
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: With Ben.
!Kitso Harper
!"Vegan" Fred Boyet
* MinorMajorCharacter: Vegan Fred is the wealthy heir to a vegan empire of cafes that bear his name, but his role in the webseries is basically to provide the sane half of the cast a place to live.
* NiceGuy: He opens up his home to a bunch of people he barely knows, and when a bunch of ''other'' people he barely knows barge in, insult him, and try to steal his houseguests away, he makes them vegan cocoa.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Other Characters]]
!Jaquie Manders
* HiddenDepths: In her first few appearances, Jaquie seems incredibly bored, even annoyed, by the flatmates. (That's not necessarily an unreasonable position.) She doesn't really engage in group activities, and is occasionally snippy even with Peter, who's her closest friend among them. But when [[spoiler:all of their love interests and most of their friends leave because the flatmates have been awful to them]], Jaquie is one of the few people left in the picture. It turns out she thinks the flatmates are ''great'', and really amusing; she's just kind of a low-energy, contrary person.
* RomanticFalseLead: At various points, Ben, Costa, and Balthazar all believe that Jaquie and Peter are in (or heading toward) a romantic relationship. [[spoiler:They do sleep together, but they have no interest in being in a relationship.]]
!John Donaldson
* BastardBastard: He's recovered, though.
!Costa [=McClure=]
* TheAntiNihilist: His best feature.
-->'''Costa:''' Because it is pointless. And so is life. But everyone else manages to suck it up.
* TheCuckoolanderWasRight: In his first appearance, and never again.
* TheFool
!Rosa Jones
!Paige Moth
* TheConfidant: Over the course of the series, Paige sings a song for each of the flatmates that makes it clear they have confided their feelings to her.
* MinorCharacterMajorSong: Paige's role in the story is fairly limited, but she sings more songs than any character other than Balthazar. A couple of them, "Coffee Fiend" and "Understand," are ''extremely important'' if you want to know what's going on with the main characters.
!Chelsey Long
* CloudCuckoolander
