A faerie that has known the Prince and Zethia since they were little. It's complicated.
\
The events her Gala self endured have empowered her to take up arms.
\
She get's a new set of kimono for her bigger forms in for the new years.
----
[[AC:NPC]]
* AlternateSelf: A Notte from the "Fractured Futures" Event shows just how horrible the dark future timeline is [[spoiler:when she sees the main timeline Prince and is deathly afraid of him, threatening to ''kill'' him for what "he" (his dark future timeline self) did. [[DeadAlternateCounterpart She also dies]] in Audric's Adventurer Story.]]
* BeTheBall: ''Dragalia Life'' reveals that Notte has the ability to use her hair to curl herself up into a spiky ball with wings to perform the “Notte Ball.” Too bad she can’t control it. Thankfully, by the time her Gala form comes around, it seems as though she has gained more control of it, as she uses it for her “Fairy Punishment” attack.
* BigEater: Not quite to the extent as Ranzal, but that's mostly due to her small size requiring less food. She becomes the taste-tester for Cleo's Dragonyule cake and gets a BalloonBelly.
* BirdsOfAFeather: In the "''Fire Emblem'': Kindred Ties" Event, she gets along splendidly with Peony, since the two of them being faeries, even with there being a size difference. [[spoiler:Given the events of Chapter 18, you might want to kiss that size difference goodbye...]]
* CuteLittleFangs: Has a perpetual snaggletooth that's pronounced by [[PluckyGirl her frequent smiling.]]
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Two instances are PlayedForLaughs in ''Dragalia Life''.
** #3 with her [[BeTheBall Notte Ball]] attack. It's forbidden because she missed the fiends she was aiming for and hits Euden instead. [[spoiler:After she's grown, she has more mass and surface area to hit her foes with.]]
** #342 has "Notte Legs", where her legs quiver so fast they knock fiends aside with ease. Euden is terrified enough to forbid it due to the specific circumstances around its use.
* DeadpanSnarker: She can be ''very'' snarky when "dumb" things are happening around her.
* DubNameChange: From "Nhaam" in the Japanese version.
* FakeMemories: [[spoiler:Her memories of meeting Euden and Zethia when they were kids, and being born in South Grastaea? All fabricated by Finlorda in an attempt to make Euden's childhood seem natural, with Aurelius being completely on board with it. She is not happy to find this out, and neither is everyone else in the party.]]
* FairyCompanion: She's known Euden and Zethia since their childhood. A flashback in Chapter 18 shows her meeting Zethia as a child.
* FunSize: [[spoiler:After exhausting her mana in her second stage, she reverts to her original size and is expected to stay that way for a little while.]]
* GottaGetYourHeadTogether: [[spoiler:The final scene of Chapter 18 (Part One) has her complain that her head is ''about to split open like a melon'' from the voice speaking to her. Turns out Finlorda was feeding her information in time with her adolescence-induced transformation.]]
* HearingVoices: Chapter 18 has her hearing them as the party goes through the Faerie Forest. After they finally defeat Kai Yan, [[spoiler: they get louder to the point they start physically hurting her]]. [[spoiler:She continues to hear Finlorda's voice after her transfiguration as a guide to the gates of the Faerie Kingdom.]]
* HehHehYouSaidX: Is very quick to notice and mention that Curran said "Beauty is in the eye of the ''[[{{Malaproper}} buttholder]]''."
* MsExposition: Serves as the narrator for the Adventurer's Guide comics explaining how the game works. She also serves as this for Dragalia Digest.
* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #295 when Zethia tells Meene about Notte's Notte Ball and she does her own.
--> Notte: "The heck, man?! I feel like some thousand year-old lady is copying my moves!"
* PalatialSandcastle: In Summer Luca's Adventurer Story, she makes one big enough for her to live in.
* PluckyGirl: Notte is energetic and determined even in the face of adversity, like when rescuing Zethia inside a rupturing volcano or [[spoiler:when The Other possesses Zethia's body. Which makes all the more heart-breaking to see the [[BreakTheCutie state]] her AlternateSelf is in during the "Fractured Futures" Event and [[KillTheCutie Audric's Adventurer Story]].]]
* RoseHairedSweetie: She is a cheery, pink haired faerie. She is good natured and optimistic who deeply cares for her friends and enjoys seeing them smile.
* SeeingThroughAnothersEyes: [[spoiler:In order to adequately monitor Euden, Finlorda utilized Notte's own immense mana to link her senses to his. She is besides herself when the truth gets out.]]
* ThisCannotBe: Notte breaks down hard when she learns that [[spoiler:her entire history with Euden and Zethia was engineered by Finlorda, and she was made into his surveillance drone while she was unconscious beforehand]].
-->''No... no, no, no... this is not happening...''
* VagueAge: She looks and acts like a CheerfulChild, yet has been with Euden and Zethia ever since they were young kids, and they are both currently teenagers. [[spoiler: It’s revealed that Notte is actually older than them both, since she was assigned to look after Euden due to his unusual birth circumstances]]. She is a fairy, so that probably has something to do with it.

[[AC:Gala]]
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Her standard attack chain and both of her normal Skills don't hit very hard, but the former is a series of rapid back-and-forth strikes, while the latter hit for some of the most times of any Adventurer, allowing her to atomize count-based targets easily.
* DevelopersForesight:
** Every Adventurer since launch, whether they're people like [[TheHero Euden]], [[TheLancer Ranzal]], or even someone like [[ObviouslyEvil Akasha]], has always had Notte flying by them in the main screen. If she's the lead Adventurer, she only flies by herself. She also doesn't fly by the lead Adventurer if her playable version will appear in the main screen to talk.
** The Throne Room chats on the Home screen have various Adventurers talking; during the March 2021 Gala Dragalia, Notte was one of them, and she had two differing sizes based on the roster. Her model would be tiny until successfully summoned.
* IGotBigger: [[spoiler:Entering faerie adolescence in Chapter 18 does this to her, and this is the basis for her Gala Adventurer self. She gets even bigger for her second stage.]]
* LaserBlade: [[spoiler:Her Dagger has a blade made of mana; it extends into full sword length in her second stage.]]
* PromotedToPlayable: After two and a half years of merely being a FairyCompanion who can't do anything but watch and provide moral support, Notte gets a form that allows her to officially join the cast as a playable Adventurer.
* RememberedICouldFly: Defied. [[spoiler:Upon becoming big, Notte starts learning how to walk. As she does so, Ranzal points out that she should still be able to fly as her wings grew along with her. She tells him that she is well aware that she can still fly, but opts to learning how to walk just because she feels like it.]]
* {{Sizeshifter}}: [[spoiler:Notte's unique transformation pumps her up to the size of a smaller dragon for a short time; overuse of this power forces her back into her tiny faerie state at the end of Chapter 18.]]
* StanceSystem: Similar in concept to Tiki and her Divine Dragon form, Notte can metamorphose between 'child' and 'adult' states at will, changing the properties of her Skills. One can keep her small to build the Skill Gauge and dispel enemy buffs, and make her big when it's time to pile on the pain.
* StatusBuffDispel: Both of Notte's regular Skills dispel one buff from each target they hit, effectively making Karmic Shield a non-issue. Her metamorphosed state trades dispel for Stormlash and raw damage.
* TookALevelInBadass: While able to provide emotional support, Notte is dead weight in an actual fight [[spoiler:until the end of Chapter 18, where she transforms into a combat form and singlehandedly banishes the Black Mana from a whole army and a corrupted Kamuy]].
* UnskilledButStrong: It's clear that, while an effective fighter, she still lacks the finesse of an actual combatant.
** Her auto-attack mid-step has her swinging her dagger wildly, rooting her in place until she dodges or finishes the combo. Or she gets launched.
** Her metamorphosed state makes exaggerated swings with her sword, and Faerie Glory has her lose her grip on it mid-spin. She [[SummonToHand gets it back]] at the end, though.
* YouHaveResearchedBreathing: [[spoiler: She may have grown to human size, but she's not used to actually using her legs. Dragalia Life #342 plays this for maximum humor.]]

[[AC:Kimono]]
* AttackDrone: She summons butterflies with her attacks and Force Strikes to harass enemies for a period of time. Some of her Skills use their power to amplify their effects. All butterflies thus deployed will disappear when she uses her Skills or changes sizes.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: [[spoiler:The fact she can grow to a combat-capable size spoils the second of two major events of Chapter 18.]]
* StatusBuff: When at least six butterflies are deployed, her Skills can bolster the party's Shadow defense or Light attack; since the butterflies are dismissed when Notte uses her Skills, you have to pick which one you want.
* {{Sizeshifter}}: [[spoiler:This is an inherent ability of Notte's as of Chapter 18, and she pushes this power further instead of shapeshifting into a dragon like just about everyone else.]]
* WhiteMage: Notte trades her Gala kit's offensive and dispel-prone prowess for the ability to heal, cleanse, and bolster her teammates. [[CombatMedic That doesn't mean she can't fight.]]

A knight of Ilian church, and a prodigy whose skill gained her the rank of Paladyn.\
Elisanne's Halloween version has her in an embarrassing, but cute, vampire costume. Obtainable from the "Halloween Fantasia" Showcase.\
Her Wedding version has her get dolled up in a wedding dress.\
She becomes the Grand Paladyn for her Gala self.\
She dons her Hinomotoan kimono for participation in the Fortunes Festival tournament.
----
[[AC:Regular]]
* AmbiguouslyBi: Elisanne has been shows to have a crush on Euden multiple times. However, both Alex and Julietta are implied to have crushes on her, and she has a strong bond with them both. [[spoiler:The ending has Elisanne and Alex working in the church together, so it’s unclear if they are now a couple]].
* AmbiguousSituation: At the end of Chapter 14, Elisanne was [[spoiler:escorting Zethia to safety when someone showed up claiming to be Zethia's real brother]]. The scene cut away after that, and when the rest of the group caught up with her [[spoiler:Zethia was gone, and all Elisanne can say, guiltily, is that someone stole her away]]. A number of players jumped on her for supposedly [[spoiler:betraying Euden by surrendering Zethia]], but the truth is that we had no idea exactly what happened. An Interlude added weeks later cleared things up, showing that [[spoiler:Elisanne didn't give her up voluntary; Nedrick caused her to hesitate, and then exploited it.]]
* AnimalMotifs: The rabbit, as her bow is tied to look like a pair of rabbit ears. She even has a rabbit's tail on her back! This is also slightly ironic, given that there is a race of ''actual'' bunny people in the game. It's later revealed that the person who inspired her to become a Paladyn, [[spoiler:Ciella, the Agito of Water]], is a Sylvan; so this likely influenced the rabbit motif as well.
* AnythingButThat: Played for laughs in Chapter 1 of Beautician Zardin's story after seeing that the TrainingFromHell and beauty cream he had them slather on is all part of his daily routine.
* BarrierMaiden: Though the full extent of the consequences have yet to be revealed, Gala Alex’s Adventurer Story reveals that [[spoiler:her death is necessary to unlock the seal on the complete Scrolls of Perdition, the documents showing the relationship between the Goddess Ilia and The Other. At the bare minimum, the event will result in the conflict between the Perditionist and Conservative factions of the Church escalating into a full-on holy war. It's later revealed in "One Starry Dragonyule" that the Scrolls are simply Meene's diary to Ilia, though this information is only known to Ilia, Nevin, Mordecai, Ramiel, and a few others.]]
* ClingyJealousGirl: Invoked in a few Adventurer Stories when addressing her hidden feelings for the Prince. Chapter 4 in Ranzal's Story has him provoke her when she scolds him for being a bad influence to Euden, claiming she's just mad that a barmaid tried to hit on Euden, prompting the normally composed Elisanne to [[BigShutUp yell at him to shut up]]. And then there's [[HilarityEnsues Gala Mym's Stories]], in which Elly is painted as a frequent romantic rival for the Prince's affections in her {{Imagine Spot}}s.
* CompanionCube: Her stuffed bunny, Matilda. In Vanessa's Adventurer Story, touching her becomes the last straw, getting Elisanne to finally duel her.
* ConflictingLoyalty: Being a Paladyn, she's committed herself to the Ilian church, Auspex Zethia, and the Alberian royal family. So when Harle gives evidence that [[spoiler:Euden is not actually a blood member of that family, it shakes her up, and leaves her stuck between her deeply-held beliefs and commitments, and her personal respect and affection for Euden. She eventually shakes out of it by resigning as a Paladyn completely and fully becoming Euden's bodyguard.]]
* CutenessProximity: ''Highly'' vulnerable to this. Even glancing at a little girl's doll causes her to freeze in place as she struggles not to react to it.
** She gets this in ''Dragalia Life'' #75 with Odetta's tales of riding on giant bunnies and playing in cat cafes.
** Happens to her in ''Dragalia Life'' #83 upon seeing Cleo's Sylvan ears.
** Happens [[RuleOfThree once again]] in ''Dragalia Life'' #96 when just the sight of Luca's ears makes her relent into buying him some apples.
** Happens [[RunningGag once more]] in ''Dragalia Life'' #108 with Student Maribelle's bunny friend hopping over to her while Maribelle is taking out stuff from her backpack.
** ''Draglia Life'' #316 has her and Euden witnessing Cat Sith licking Gala Chelle clean after battle, making her roll in the dirt hoping to get some of that action too.
* DubNameChange: From "Elphyllis" in the Japanese version.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: Elisanne sure has a fair amount of female admirers in the Halidom, attracting the likes of Vanessa, Julietta, and Alex... In ''Dragalia Life'', not even Euden’s elder sister Chelle is safe from Elisanne’s charms.
* {{Expy}}: She's one to [[VideoGame/GranblueFantasy Katalina Aryze]]. Both are graceful female paladins who defect from their previous alliance, due to their actions deemed unacceptable, both of them have the Water element, and both of them happen to have a penchant for cute things.
* {{Foil}}: Is, in a way, to Patia. Both are second in command to two righteous sword wielders (Euden and Leif), both use Lances, and gameplay-wise they are both used as a SupportPartyMember. Both have a party-wide buff, with Patia's being a Defense buff, while Elisanne's is a Strength buff, both of which affect any allies, no matter their element. Both have a second Skill that deals damage, and both also have similar Abilities such HP 60% = Strength and Buff Time 25%. Though, thanks to Patia and her own Mana Spirals, they’ve since become less of a foil gameplay-wise.
* FriendlessBackground: While we don't know the extent of her meaning, Elisanne mentions to Euden that, during her training to be a Paladyn, the only one who was there for her was Matilda, her stuffed rabbit. Though it's later given a slight retcon when Tobias is introduced.
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: She has a stuffed rabbit named Matilda.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Elisanne is a kindhearted, brave, and courageous blonde haired woman, who is willing help others. She greatly cares for Euden and her allies such as Alex; willing to defend them no matter the cost.
* IgnoringBySinging: At the end of her Adventurer Story, when Euden tells Elisanne that she would look cute in the dress she received as a reward earlier, and that Matilda would like it to, an embarrassed Elisanne does this to quickly change the subject.
* IWorkAlone: Being raised a Paladyn, Elisanne has been taught to be as strong as one can be alone, as her job requires her to guard the Auspex and not rely on others to back her up. In her Adventurer Story, this causes her frustration when training with Euden, because he's not interested in sharpening his skills as much as he could be, due to Elly, Ranzal, Cleo, and the others watching his back. Later on, when she's unable to defeat a group of fiends by herself while protecting a rabbit, requiring Euden to rescue her, she becomes hard on herself for needing to be rescued and allowing Euden to be injured in a previous fight. Euden hammers home that needing help isn't a weakness.
* TheKilljoy: Ranzal pokes fun at her for this early on in Elly's Adventurer Story.
* TheLancer: The second-in-command for the Prince's forces as well as using actual lances.
* LeaveMeAlone: She shouts this in Chapter 2 of Vanessa's Adventurer Story after being stalked by her for a fight.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Not quite first sight, as she thought Euden was the enemy at first, but once Elisanne joins the party in Chapter 1, it takes her about ten minutes to find Euden attractive.
* MakingASplash: A Water Adventurer.
* MarriedToTheJob: Elisanne considers being a Paladyn to be of the highest honor, so much that her life revolves around it. The job requires her to dedicate her life to protecting the Auspex and the royal family, as well as only loving the Goddess Ilia. Much of her CharacterDevelopment in both the story and her various Adventurer Stories is learning to move past this and strive her personal happiness. [[spoiler:As her duties are split even further between New Alberia and the Ilian Church, Elisanne finally decides to break away from the Church completely in order to fully be by Euden's side.]]
* MyNaymeIs: Is a Palad'''y'''n, not a Palad'''i'''n.
* MsFanservice: She's quite beautiful, and her outfits tend to be quite form fitting, showcasing her nice figure.
* NaginatasAreFeminine: Her Regular version uses Lances.
* ProperTightsWithSkirt: Has this look.
* TheRival: She is portrayed as Mym's romantic rival for Euden's affections in Gala Mym's Adventurer Story, but in reality, it's mostly one-sided on Mym's part. However, even Elisanne does a poor job in hiding said feelings when addressed.
* SexyBacklessOutfit: Her 3D model shows that her upper clothes have no back covering. In fact, all of her outfits except for her Kimono version are backless, unless you count the cape on her Halloween version.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: While Elly still holds fast to her faith, she cannot reconcile the heretical texts that the Church has chosen to regard as canon, seeing it as a betrayal of Ilia's teachings, and leading to a dark path. As such, she departs their ranks. Her Gala Adventurer Story reveals that she's not alone, and there's a full-on church schism going on.
* SheCleansUpNicely: Elisanne is far from ugly, but she doesn't consider herself to be as beautiful as others seem to think, and because of her Paladyn training, prefers not to wear clothes that could possibly hinder her in battle. Her various Adventurer Stories show that she doesn't feel particularly worthy of more ornate, feminine dresses, but deep down she really does want to wear them. Whenever another character (especially Euden) compliments her upon wearing said dress, she gets super embarrassed.
* SupportPartyMember:
** Elisanne is regarded as one of the best party Strength buffers in the game, thanks to her first Skill, Brave Bastion, boosting the party's Strength, no matter the element, by a good 20%, complete with a very short charge rate, along with an Ability that increases the duration of buffs. Her Mana Spiral makes her even better in her role, improving her Strength buff to 25% while also making it an attack, letting her contribute more damage to the fight. Her Abilities also get boosted, as her buff duration boost is increased and she becomes fully Resistant to both Burn and Stun.
** This also applies to all her other versions. Her Halloween version includes the ability to heal and can still buff, her Wedding version lowers enemy Defense and allows for regenerative healing, her Gala version has a 30% Strength buff for Water Adventurers and a 25% Resistance to Flame enemies, and her Kimono alt provides a Strength buff and Wind Resistance.
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: When Mym comes to her for information about wedding ceremonies in Mym's Adventurer Story, Elisanne goes into intricate detail of its ongoings, despite claiming not knowing a lot on the subject. Turns out to be one of her hobbies, which embarrasses her whenever someone else finds out about it.
* TomboyishPonytail: Wears a sidetail on her right side. Her Halloween version puts it on her left side.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She's a serious, military-minded Paladyn, but she secretly loves stuffed animals and other "cute things." There's also a minor RunningGag that she enjoys romance novels (and what are implied to be fairly trashy ones, at that).
* UnmanlySecret: As much as she loves her stuffed animal Matilda, she considers it extremely embarrassing when other people find out about her. Not to mention anytime her feelings for Euden pop up. A side-effect of her dedicated Paladyn training.
* YouExclamation: Delivers this to Harle at the end of their encounter in the middle of the Chapter 11 Interlude.

[[AC:Halloween]]
->''"There's no time to be embarrassed in combat!"''
* BadassCape: Has one that covers her back.
* FirstNameBasis: When Euden invites Elly to the Halloween festival in town, he wishes to go as regular friends, not as a prince and Paladyn. After being convinced to go, a blushing Elly refers to Euden by his given name for the first time.
* HighPressureEmotion: In her Adventurer Story, she goes red in the face and steam puffed when she couldn't go through with the practice seduction with Euden.
* ImAHumanitarian: ''Dragalia Life'' #18 has her pretend to be this by pretending to be full vampire, sucking on a chocolate hand in front of Luca. He faints from shock.
* InjuredVulnerability: After unlocking the node in her Mana Spiral, Phase III of Sacred Maiden does more damage to Paralyzed enemies.
* LapPillow: Gives one to Euden in her Adventurer Story. Much to her embarrassment, Ranzal spots the two.
* LeotardOfPower: Her costume, like her regular clothes, has [[SexyBacklessOutfit no back]].
* LightEmUp: This time, she switches to the Light Element.
* LostInCharacter: Many of her menu and battle lines have her proclaim that she truly wants to be a vampire.
* LoveEpiphany: Or more like she finally admits, but at the end of Chapter 5 of her Adventurer Story, Elisanne compared the day she spent with Euden to a dream, thinking that if they would have been born in different stations or met in another way, she could have had done more with Euden. She ultimately would not permit loving Euden due to the situation they are currently in, but it was still the best day of her life.
* NaginatasAreFeminine: Keeps her Lance class in this version.
* NeverSplitTheParty: In her Adventurer Story, Elly suggests splitting up to look for a food thief. Euden suggests this instead, and slides up right next to her. You could probably guess Elly's reaction.
* NotADate: Cleo needs bread for dinner, and the only ones available are Euden and Elly, and Elly doesn't have time to take off her Halloween outfit. Multiple merchants mistake the two for being out on a date, driving the poor girl wild with embarrassment.
* NotWhatItLooksLike: One of her home screen quotes implies this, likely relating to the LapPillow example above.
--> "He was exhausted, and I was just trying to help! Augh, how embarrassing..."
* TheParalyzer: After unlocking the node in her Mana Spiral, Phase II of Sacred Maiden can inflict Paralysis.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Elisanne is perplexed, and slightly irritated, that Euden, their leader and a member of royalty, is wasting his time picking pumpkins in the dirt.
* ShipTease: Her Adventurer Story is basically all about teasing her with Euden.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Insists she's still wearing the costume ''purely'' because of its tactical advantages, and not at all because she thinks it's cute, no siree.
* StockingFiller: Wears garter belts that hold up her stockings.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: One of her home screen dialogs asks if she could make something similar if she took up sewing.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: A lighter version, Elisanne doesn't take it too well when she finds out Luca was only teaching her seduction techniques as a prank.
* TooMuchInformation: Elisanne really doesn't wanna think about the fact that her costume is made out of fiends.
* VampireVannabe: Has several lines expressing her wish to be a real vampire. Considering one of the vampire's main traits is seducing people, especially the opposite sex, one can only wonder why...

[[AC:Wedding]]
->''"So, you are my soulmate."''
* BestWoman: She considers her stuffed doll Matilda to be this.
-->"Matilda shall be my Bear of Honor! *giggle*"
* BlowYouAway: Becomes the Wind Element.
* BridalCarry: The prince gives her one after she hurt both her arm and leg.
* {{Bridezilla}}: The Castle Story "That Special Day (Part 3)," has her being [[ThePerfectionist too demanding of things being perfect]] making her presentation not ready in time.
* CareerVersusMan: Her inner turmoil during her Adventurer Story is that, being a Paladyn, she swore an oath to offer her heart and body to Ilia, but since putting the dress on, her thoughts race towards marriage (specifically to Euden). In the end, it was Euden himself that encourages her to choose both.
* ContinuityNod: Chapter 1 has Ranzal bring up how it's not the first time she's dressed up for a mission, referencing her Halloween costume, but in this case, not as a bride.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Wedding Bell lays down a debuff zone in the shape of a wedding bell, reducing the Defense of any enemies in it.
* FairytaleWeddingDress: Wears one. It was given to her by a village who was forced by a cyclops fiend to offer up young women as a sacrifice. She wears it to be a PlayAlongPrisoner to infiltrate his lair. In the end, the village gifted it to her, and she keeps it.
* GirlinessUpgrade: Wearing such a frilly dress, with makeup on top of that, stuns everyone, much to Elisanne's embarrassment.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Trades in her Lance for a Sword.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: Just because she's wearing an elegant wedding dress doesn't mean she's not capable of fighting against fiends, the Empire, Dragons, or Agito.
* LuminescentBlush: She gets this when Euden puts her in a BridalCarry.
* PlayAlongPrisoner: Her Adventurer Story revolves around trying to stop a fiend from eating young women in the village. Ranzal comes up with the idea, but offers himself as the bait. Frustrated by his idea, Elisanne volunteers herself instead, and is given the wedding dress in order to tempt the fiend.
* RegeneratingHealth: Sacred Union deals out a line of damage, while also laying down a wedding aisle that heals any party members standing in it.
* ShipTease: Much like her Halloween variant, her Adventurer Story is all about teasing her with Euden.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Once again, her various menu quotes has her denying that she's really enjoying wearing her current outfit.
* VirginSacrifice: Her Adventurer Story in this version has her and the party trying to stop a fiend from demanding these from a village.

[[AC:Gala]]
->''"The Grand Paladyn has come!"''
* BatmanGambit: In Chapter 5 of Gala Alex's Adventurer Story, she [[spoiler:fakes her death by getting into a fight against Alex, knowing Dorothy would want to see the deed done, as well as find out that Archbishop Magnus was the one behind the assassination attempt.]]
* InnocentBystander: Asking Tobias how many of these have to die during his revolution is what starts knocking him off his perch.
* InspirationalMartyr: Tobias' boss orders him to make Elisanne one of these. Luckily for her, he wises up at the last minute.
* TheLeader: As the Grand Paladyn, she is the de facto leader of the Paladyns. The problem is, the Church is split between the Conservative and the Perditionist factions. She is trying to reunite both into one.
* MakingASplash: Keeps the Water typing of her Regular version.
* OptOut: [[spoiler: Steps down from her role as Grand Paladyn in order to dedicate her full attention to New Alberia.]]
* PromotedToScapegoat: Her promotion to Grand Paladyn wasn't done with the best of intentions. She's a known member of the Conservative side in the schism, is allied with Alberia, has the ear of its prince, and has a pretty face, to boot. The Pope and Church higher-ups gave her the position as a political maneuver because such traits make a great figurehead for the Conservatives, not because she's qualified.
* RankUp: Becomes the current Grand Paladyn after the previous one, Johannes, died.
* ReligionOfEvil: Originally thought that the Perditionist faction were worshipers of The Other, and wanted him to be their God. Talking with Tobias showed her this was untrue.
* SexyBacklessOutfit: Yet another outfit that shows her back.
* SheatheYourSword: How Elisanne is trying to unite the Perditionist and Conservative factions. However, the Periditonists are unwilling to back down.
* ThouShaltNotKill: Elisanne absolutely does not want bloodshed between the two factions, and tries to convince Tobias to understand the sanctity of human life.

[[AC:Kimono]]
->''"May your heart be free!"''
* AllJustADream: [[spoiler:The majority of her Adventure Story is a dream she had when she bumped her head.]]
* BadLuckCharm: Elisanne accidentally gets knocked into a tansu fortune tree, resulting in her being cursed by a fortune that reads "Bunlucky Day."
* DamageOverTime: She can inflict Scorchrend using her second Skill "Lucky Day" and can have a 30-40% chance to also decrease their resistance to Scorchrend by 5-10% for 30 seconds.
* HealingFactor: One of her Abilities allows allies to be revived with 30% HP rather than the normal 10%.
* TheJinx: Thanks to the curse, Elisanne becomes this. She almost gets crushed by a statue, she accidentally destroys Francesca's products, gets herself set on fire by Sinoa and then almost drowns putting it out, and eventually gets Euden obsessively in love with her, infuriating Mym. [[spoiler:It all turns out to be a bad dream she had after getting knocked into the fortune tree.]]
* MeditationPowerup: Essentially what her first Skill, Lady Nonpareil, is. The user taps the screen in order to power up the buff, with max power granting a 40% Strength and a 15% Wind Resistance buff.
* OrWasItADream: Elisanne is relieved to hear that her nightmare was just that... [[spoiler:until she sees Matilda sitting out in the open out of nowhere. While everyone else watches her run away screaming, Matilda winks to the reader.]]
* PlayingWithFire: A first for Elisanne is the ability to channel this element.
* PromotedToPlayable: While Elisanne herself has been playable from the very beginning, she had only ever been seen in her kimono in cutscenes starting with the first New Year's event. Come "Fortune's Fray," she can finally be used in her Kimono.
* SealedEvilInATeddyBear: Well, rabbit, but one of Elisanne's fortunes manifests itself as Matilda popping up everywhere she is. Matilda then somehow casts a spell on Euden to make him a CasanovaWannabe.

A skilled mercenary whose sloppy appearance and careless tongue can make for a sour first impression.\

In his Gala Version, Ranzal gets armored up as New Alberia's general.\

For Summer, he dresses down to grill up some barbecue at the beach for his allies.\

To infiltrate Emile's school, he is turned into a Child.
----
[[AC:Regular]]
* AbdicateTheThrone: And did it in such a spectacularly abrasive fashion that he's been [[PersonaNonGrata banned entirely from the city-state he was supposed to rule]].
* BabyMorphEpisode: Happens to him in ''Dragalia Life'' #178, when Hildegarde uses Jiang Ziya's Cloth of Reversal on him, turning him into a baby.
* BackToBackBadasses: The "Together We Stand" Wyrmprint has him in this pose with Berserker.
* TheBait: In his Adventurer Story, he and Euden get surrounded by fiends. Ranzal offers himself as this so Euden can head back to the Halidom to get help. Euden initially agrees, but then comes back to support Ranzal, not willing to leave him alone.
* BigBrotherMentor: To Euden, who considers him an older brother in spirit, if not in blood.
* BigEater: Anytime there's downtime, he'll make a comment about being hungry. Cleo usually has to protect her meals from Ranzal eating it all before it's dinner time.
* TheBigGuy: Large, uses an axe, and loves to fight? He fits right in.
* BoisterousBruiser: Loud, jovial, hits VERY hard with his axe, and one of the friendliest people in Euden's circle.
* BlowYouAway: A Wind Adventurer.
* BlueBlood: The Prince suspects that Ranzal was a noble once. Confirmed in Chapter 7, when it's revealed he's the son of Zacharias, the Lord of St. Lotier.
* ButtMonkey: He turns into this in the ''Dragalia Life'' comics, sometimes playing on TooDumbToLive.
* DeathByCameo: His alternate self from a dark future timeline appears in Audric's Adventurer Story, and is implied to have died so that Audric could escape.
* DefeatEqualsFriendship: He tests Euden when he declares he wants to find a Dragon, wanting to see if he's worthy of taming one, or if he's a coward like his brother Emile.
* DiscardAndDraw: Unlocking the Mana Spiral node for Storm Wall changes the effect from granting a single use shield that nullifies a certain percentage of damage for all allies to increasing Defense and granting a [[BodyArmorAsHitPoints Life Shield]] to all allies instead.
* DubNameChange: In Japan, he's called "Ranzarve."
* DumbMuscle: Subverted. Ranzal is an uneducated brute, but he's remarkably world-wise, has a talent for communication, and is capable of being sensitive when the situation calls for it. Though played straight in many ''Dragalia Life'' comics.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Played for laughs in Chapter 2 of Emma's Adventurer Story, when he pretends to take a nap to get out of her cheer contest, only for her to sing a lullaby that puts him to sleep.
* GoodGuyBar: Takes Euden to one of these in order to "gather intel." Elisanne is not fooled for a second.
* HasTwoThumbsAnd: He says this trope in the "A Dash of Disaster" Event.
-> "I ain't sure what that word [gastronomic] means, but I'll tell ya who's got two thumbs, a grumbly belly, and wants to watch some cookin'! THIS GUY! ...Oh, and my pals, yeah?"
* {{Hunk}}: He's very tall and has quite the visibly muscular figure underneath his armor.
* INeedToGoIronMyDog: He says something along this trope in Chapter 2 of Amane's Adventurer Story after she asks for some help in destroying Dragons.
-->'''Ranzal:''' "Y-ya know what? I just remembered that Cleo asked me to help with somethin'. Gotta run!"
* IRegretNothing: He says this in Gala Mym's Adventurer Story when he's flung aside by her.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: Being in the mercenary business for as long as he has, Ranzal seems to find hideously gaping wounds more amusing than painful.
-->'''Ranzal:''' Oh yeah, she's a gusher, all right. That's why I need ya to take yer staff or whatever and heal 'er... Uh, buddy? Ya look a little pale there.
* MenAreChildish: Often acts this way during downtime. Elisanne and Cleo step in when it seems like his influence is rubbing off on Euden, especially when the two go into town to party all night. That being said, when the situation DOES require seriousness, he acts accordingly.
* MightyGlacier: Takes the role of one in the main cast after his Mana Spiral, which buffs the damage in his first skill significantly, along with the addition of a [[DiscardAndDraw life shield instead of a regular shield]] and Defense buff on his second skill
* MrExposition: He shows up in various Adventurer Stories as someone that explains their story or reputation to the Prince, and therefore, the player.
* OnlySaneMan: He's just as weird as anyone else in the cast, but as for why he gets this position? He's the only one to question the logic and sanity of the Prince for allowing an assassin (Vice), who loves what he does, to live in the Halidom, along with the antics of the others Adventurers.
* PersonaNonGrata: Is no longer allowed in St. Lotier.
-->'''Notte:''' Ranzal, just what kind of shenanigans did you pull here?\
'''Ranzal:''' Hey, it ain't my fault! I didn't do nothin' what any hot-blooded young guy ain't done once or twice. All I did was go on a little rampage and break some stuff. ...Er, includin' a couple'a buildings. Ha ha!
* PoisonousPerson: Unlocking the Mana Spiral node for Tornado Bash allows it to inflict Poison.
* RebelPrince: Ranzal had (and still has) no interest in ruling St. Lotier, and apparently ceded the throne in such an aggressive fashion that [[PersonaNonGrata he got banned from the city entirely]]. This winds up causing a lot of issues when the Prince tries to negotiate an alliance with Zacharias.
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: He's revealed to be the son of St. Lotier's lord, Zacharias.
* RealMenEatMeat: He loves eating meat in a lot of Adventurer Stories. In the six month anniversary illustration, he can be seen holding two racks of meat by the bone.
* SandInMyEyes: In ''Dragalia Life'' #156 upon seeing Gala Euden's look, he's got tears in his eyes, like Cleo and Elisanne, though he's trying to be tough about it.
--> Ranzal: "Somebody must be cuttin' onions in here..."
* ShipperOnDeck: He invites Rodrigo to stay with them so that he can become closer to Cleo. He's also pushed Elisanne multiple times to admit her feelings to Euden.
* StatusBuffDispel: Unlocking the Mana Spiral node for Tornado Bash let's it dispel one buff for each target hit.
* StoneWall: Takes the role of one amongst the main cast before his Mana Spiral. Having a decent damaging skill, along with a Shield on his second skill, and Last Defense as an ability. In addition he also uses an Axe, the slowest attacking weapon in the game.
* TooDumbToLive: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #98. During a mushroom gathering trip with Xainfried, he blindly bites into a mushroom that's poisonous.
* {{Troll}}: ''Dragalia Life'' #29 has him trolling Hildegarde as the voice of her goddess by getting her to love Euden, right while Mym is in the same room as them.
* TwinkleInTheSky: In Gala Mym's Adventurer Story, he's sent flying into the sky when he objects to being their carriage steed.

[[AC:Gala]]
->''"I got this!"''
* AggressiveNegotiations: When a group of villagers are trying to get past an Imperial checkpoint to take refuge in the Halidom, Ranzal tries to negotiate since his group is outnumbered. However, his nature ends up leading to this instead.
* BadassBoast: He says this in his entrance in the final wave of the Wind Coliseum in the "''Fire Emblem'': Kindred Ties" Event.
-->"You can leave on your feet or in a box! It's up to you!"
* BadassCape: His new outfit adds a cape.
* BlingBlingBANG: His new sword doesn't NEED to be as ornate as it is, but then it wouldn't be as [[RuleOfCool cool]].
* BlingOfWar: His new outfit only actually protects his forearms, hips, shins, and one shoulder, but damn does it look cool. Then again, Malka states that having less armor is simply Ranzal's style and doing it any differently would inhibit his fighting prowess.
* BlowYouAway: Keeps his Wind affiliation.
* ConvenientlyTimedDistraction: In his Adventurer Story, Ranzal is attempting to negotiate safe passage for some villagers through an Imperial checkpoint. When fiends attack, the Imperials refuse to let Ranzal's group help and attack them alone. Ranzal takes advantage of the situation and has his troops squirrel the villagers away while he assists the Imperials.
* DuelToTheDeath: Challenges Euden to one of these. He acts seriously, scaring Notte, but Euden eventually figures out he's just putting on airs.
* EnemyMine: Proposes to team up with some Imperial soldiers when they are besieged by fiends.
* FourStarBadass: He's now General of the New Alberian army.
* FrontlineGeneral: Ranzal's promotion has not dissuaded him from the frontlines. While his allies are somewhat dismayed at this, he manages to successfully convince them that turning him into ArmchairMilitary would be a waste of his capabilities, even if it means he'll be in danger more often.
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: His new armor and sword are lined with gold, much like Gala Euden's.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Trades out his trusty axe for a brand new sword, forged by Ramona and her sisters.
* IdiotHero: Trying to become a legitimate strategist ends up hurting his head, making him seem this when he goes back to his normal way of thinking.
* LeeroyJenkins: People keep trying to convince Ranzal that he can't do this anymore now that he's been promoted, but since Ranzal doesn't know how to fight any other way, it doesn't take.
* LightningBruiser: Was this when compared to his standard version, having great damage and a way to increase his defense all while being a Sword Adventurer. Subverted after PowerCreep, he fell behind into a MasterOfNone role. After a buff to his Modifiers in Version 2.0, he plays this straight again though, and overcompensated.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: His attacks and defenses get stronger the more his attack and Force Strike gauges build up. And thanks to his second Skill Wind Tactics, he is also a sort of ‘ranged Sword user,’ as they’ll then hit straight ahead of him in a line instead of just straight in front.
* MenAreChildish: Boasts about he's going to be a new, more mature man, but almost immediately afterwards starts comedically whining when Cleo informs him dinner's not ready yet and that he's not allowed to snack.
* NumberTwo: Becomes Euden's official second in command.
* OneManArmy: Thinks he's this after getting his new gear.
* PurposelyOverpowered: He has 100% Resistance to both Bog and Freeze.
* RankUp: This version of Ranzal is recognized as the General of New Alberia's army.
* VillainRespect: The Imperial commander at the checkpoint ends up having this about Ranzal after he displays his fighting prowess fighting fiends.

[[AC:Summer]]
->''"Bust out yer parasols, CUZ IT'S RAINING ABS!"''
* TheCatfish: Chapter 4 of his Adventurer Story involves catching a Lord of the Sea, which can only be caught during a full moon. He and Euden do get it, but he gets dragged in, which makes Euden have to turn into Midgardsormr to save him. On the plus side, they also got the fish.
* CoolShades: Wears some sunglasses on top of his head.
* HeroesGoneFishing: He and Euden go fishing to help Cleo out with dinner. He advises Euden not to take in a rather poisonous fish no matter how pretty it is, while showing him a fish that doesn't look good but tastes better.
* HawaiianShirtedTourist: Gets to wear an open shirt with a floral pattern that invokes this, since he is on vacation.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Uses a Blade in this variant.
* MakingASplash: Changes to Water for this alt.
* RealMenCanCook: Ranzal puts his experience of fending for himself as a solo mercenary to use by feeding his allies, showing why his epithet is "Grillmaster." It manifests in gameplay as his second Skill, Barbecue Bonanza, both buffing Strength and giving regenerating healing to nearby allies.
** It was first shown that he was a good cook in ''Dragalia Life'' #24.
* SeriousBusiness: He takes his barbecues quite seriously, especially when Euden calls herbs and spices "leaves" and thought it was just throwing food on the grill.
* SupremeChef: Is an expert in barbecue, much to Cleo's shock.
* SurferDude: His first Skill lets him surf on a wave, crashing into his enemies.
* TaughtByExperience: Chapter 5 of his Adventurer Story shows his cooking skills are this, from his mercenary days.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Sort of. He still wears a shirt, but he leaves it open, showcasing his very muscular physique.

[[AC:Child]]
->''"Here comes the clean-up hitter!"''
* BatterUp: His portrait has him carrying a baseball bat. He also says the trope name during "Elementary Escapades". Even his Skills are based around baseball.
* CriticalHitClass: Oddly enough, despite normally having his Critical Rate capped at 14%, Child Ranzal still is this. His Critical Damage is already elevated to begin with, and his second Skill insta-preps his first Skill, and forces it to deal a critical hit.
* FountainOfYouth: Ranzal is turned into a kid by one of Sinoa's explosions.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Unlike everyone else, Child Ranzal's Crit Rate is capped at 14% in exchange for increased Critical Damage and being to feed himself a Strength Amp when his first skill deals a critical.
* PlayingWithFire: This version of Ranzal is of the Flame element, and he is capable of inflicting [[DamageOverTime Scorchrend]] with one of his Skills.
* TreehouseOfFun: In his Adventurer Story, he decides to build a treehouse. It is revealed that because of being busy being taught what he needs to be the next lord of Saint Loiter during his natural childhood, he never had time for fun and it was something of a childhood dream he had always wanted to have. In Episode 2 he befriends two children who help him build it and it becomes the three's secret base while Ranzal waits for Sinoa's explosion granted youth to wear off.

* BerserkButton: ''Dragalia Life'' #341 has Notte push hers when she takes 3 dangos when they're supposed to be for one person each.
* BigNo: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #334 when Mitsuba tells her why the onigiri Finni makes is called bomb onigiri: it blows up the entire rice supply.
* CluelessDudeMagnet: She has her share of admirers among the Adventurers, but they have trouble expressing their feelings and she misinterprets what hints they do drop. One Castle Story, "Once More, With Feeling," involves Jakob and Rodrigo teaming up to impress her, only for her to take their gift as an apology for regularly causing messes (which were their previous attempts to woo her).
* DarkIsNotEvil: She's the member of the main party who specializes in the Shadow Element.
* DeathGlare: When Cleo gets really mad, she makes a piercing gaze that frequently cows the offender into behaving.
* EekAMouse: She goes into this in Aldred's Adventurer Story when one comes into the kitchen.
* ExpressiveEars: ''Dragalia Life'' #186 shows she wears her [[SignatureHeadgear accessories]] to hide her ear twitches when Luca says he harvested apples.
* FeminineWomenCanCook: Is the main chef in the Halidom.
* ForgetsToEat: She has this line in the main screen during the "A Dash of Disaster" Event.
--> "I'm so busy feeding [[BigEater Nimis]] that I've had nothing to eat myself. My, but I am hungry!"
* ImpossiblyTackyClothes: What Cleo wants to think about the fancy dress Chelle sends her. Euden and the others vehemently disagree.
* InformedAttribute: Her, uh, being a Sylvan. Sylvans are distinguished from humans primarily by their rabbit-like ears, but Cleo's aren't visible normally and, at a glance, it's difficult to tell she isn't human. Nonetheless, in-universe everyone is able, somehow, to tell she's Sylvan at a glance. It wasn't until six months after launch that the audience finally saw her ears when she took off her {{signature headgear}} in ''Dragalia Life'' #83. Her ears are more pronounced in her Gala and Forager variants. Her ears are also visible in her cleaning outfit worn during "A Sweeping Retrospective."
* IWarnedYou: In Chapter 1 of Sha Wujing's Adventurer Story, after he bluntly says he wants to disassemble [[RobotGirl Laxi]] and makes her go on a rampage attacking him, as well as Nicholas and Euden, Cleo says it best.
-->"I hate to be one of those I-told-you-so people, but I clearly told him so."
* JustFriends: When the Prince tells Estelle that Cleo and Elisanne are "[[OpenMouthInsertFoot Just Friends]]," Cleo has an interesting reaction.
* LoveFatherLoveSon: Well, love his great-great-great-who-knows-how-many-greats-grandson.
* {{Meido}}: Cleo dresses a lot like one, and is the primary caretaker of the Halidom. As such, she is responsible for the majority of the housework in the castle and its residents.
* NonActionGuy: It [[GameplayAndStorySegregation doesn't affect gameplay]], but any time the main cast is doing something physically strenuous, like a long hike, Cleo has a rough time of it and usually exhausted.
* OnlySaneWoman: When the Halidom's residents consists of a RagtagBunchOfMisfits, Cleo is usually the one to keep everyone around her grounded into reality. Part of her character is just how she reacts to all of the craziness that constantly surrounds her.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She is actually in her 400s, and somehow has stopped aging even more than other Sylvans. Luca is astonished to find out her real age after thinking he was older than her.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Despite having blue gradients from the bottom of her hair, the pink part of her hair suits her selfless, polite, and caring demeanor.
* SeriousBusiness: Cleo takes year's end cleaning ''very'' seriously, dressing up like she's prepared for surgery, carrying cleaning supplies on her back like weapons, and becoming much more assertive.
** ''Dragalia Life'' #356 has her wear the same outfit when gardening so frogs won't touch her to the point she has supersylvan senses, dodging one as it jumps towards her.
* ShrinkingViolet: Myriam's Chapter 2 shows she used to be this during Alberius's time.
* SpringCleaningFever: Gets this during the "A Sweeping Retrospective" Event.
* StakingTheLovedOne: [[spoiler:In Chapter 10, Cleo is horrified to discover that Alberius is alive, but in a terrible FateWorseThanDeath after 300 years of fighting to contain Morsayati's core inside his and Chthonius's flesh. At his absolute limit, Alberius begs Euden and Cleo to put him out of his misery before Morsayati can break free of him. They do.]]
* StatusBuffDispel: Unlocking Magical Reduction on her Mana Spiral allows her next Force Strike to remove one enemy buff every time after she uses Elder Cure.
* TeamMom: She takes this role in running the Halidom and being in charge of the household chores. The narration even refers to her as "Mom" in the Castle Story "The Showdown," where she manipulates two of the "kids" (Ezelith and Xander) into doing some of the housekeeping. That said, she objects if someone actually calls her as such.
* TeamChef: Is usually the one to prepare all the meals in the Halidom.
* TerribleArtist: She tried to make a portrait of her original master so she wouldn't forget him, but is so bad at drawing that he's not even recognizable as human. It's not until ''Dragalia Life'' #173 that we see her "portrait" of Euden.
* ThemeNaming: All of her alts have "X Belle" or "Belle X" in English outside of Gala Cleo being "Supreme Sorcerer." In Japanese, it's "Ring X" while Gala Cleo is "Mystic Memento."
* ThisIsUnforgivable: She shouts this at Aldred in Chapter 1 of his Adventurer Story when he destroys the kitchen by Dragonshifting, thinking she was screaming at a Syndicate agent, when she was really screaming about a mouse.
* WhiteMage: She's regularly called upon to heal people with her magic.

[[AC:Dragonyule]]
->''"Let us celebrate the holiday together!"''
* BadassCape: Has one with a [[InTheHood hood]].
* ComfortFood: Her Adventurer Story is all about trying to make dishes from her friends' past as her way of celebrating Dragonyule, since Sylvans don't celebrate the holiday.
* MakingASplash: Changes to the Water Element here.
* RainOfSomethingUnusual: Starlit Gift drops presents on the target’s head and also has a chance to Freeze them.
* SupremeChef: Bakes a cake tailored to everyone's specific tastes for the Dragonyule feast, including cookie versions of the main crew.
* TeamChef: Asks everyone what meals they prefer to eat for the holiday.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: She is the one who made the Dragonyule costumes for herself, Xander, Nefaria, and the Dragon Jeanne d'Arc. She also makes Xainfried's Dragonyule outfit, as well as ones for his sons Fydon and Felix.
* ThroughHisStomach: Decides to try and bake a cake just like how Euden's mother used to as a present for the boy's friendship.

[[AC:Gala]]
->''"I shall protect you!"''
* BigDamnHeroes: Her Adventurer Story Chapter 1 is about her giving this to the party by finishing off a fiend that was giving them trouble, saving Euden in the process.
* CatsAreMean: Her Adventurer Story Chapter 3 is about a stray cat that Euden picked up, and no matter what Cleo does for it, it refuses to eat her food or sniff the toys offered. It chases Notte and scratches Euden when he stops it. It ends up reminding Cleo of herself and the way that she respected King Alberius, but was afraid to get too close to him.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Her Adventurer Story Chapter 2 has her feel that her lack of stamina is what kept her from being able to be a [[OneManArmy One Sylvan Army]], and vows to train.
* CuteClumsyGirl: She gets tangled in jump rope after just doing one jump.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Her second skill, Faith of the Elders, deals not only damage but also reduces the target's Defense by 10% for 20 seconds, Phase 2 decreases their Strength by 5%, and Phase 3 heals all allies and continues to do so for 15 seconds.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Keeps her normal Shadow affiliation.
* DeathFromAbove: Her first Skill, Ancient Ray. After jumping in the air, she fires 3-5 blasts, depending on the Skill Phase, in a clockwise arc in front of her, or upon the nearest enemies.
* DeclarationOfProtection: To Euden, at the end of her Adventurer Story, in a speech that doubles as an (Ambiguously) PlatonicDeclarationOfLove.
-->'''Cleo:''' You have already given me more happiness that I mayhap deserve. However, I love nothing more than seeing you strive to bring that same happiness to all the people of this land. And I shall do my part by protecting you and the Halidom. Until now, fighting for you was a mission—a duty. And that is never going to change. But even if that duty no longer existed, I would still want to fight. Not for the sake of a mission, but to protect everyone in the castle. And you are at the center of all that happiness, Euden. Which is why I will not let you die. I will see you returned to this castle no matter what may come. So please, let me fight at your side until the very end. Let me protect what is precious to me by my OWN sweat and toil.
* GodzillaThreshold: Cleo's rod, commissioned by Alberius the Great, was sealed away, and was only to be revealed in a time of dire crisis.
* LeeroyJenkins: After gaining her new power, she gets too far ahead in fiend slaying and ends up surrounded.
* LoveRevelationEpiphany: Cleo sets out to learn the background of her rod and discovers [[spoiler:Alberius made it specifically for her because he loved her above anyone else in his castle, and wished to ensure her protection after she inevitably outlived him.]] While it's far too late for her to reciprocate it, it does spur her to rethink her relationship to the people in the Halidom, particularly Euden.
* MagicWand: Becomes a Wand user.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Is purple like all other Shadow adventurers, but her Gala version was such a GameBreaker that it ''forever changed the balancing of the game.''
* SquishyWizard: Cleo learns the hard way that her new firepower didn't come with any stamina.
* TheRedMage: She leans into this compared to her regular version. Thanks to her having two damaging skills, she also brings some healing with her skill 2 along with a Buff Zone thanks to her first ability.
* TrainingMontage: Upon gaining her new powers, she starts one in order to increase her stamina. Her first exercise is to do 100 laps around the Halidom... and passes out from exhaustion after merely ''three''. She tries jump rope next, but gets tangled up in it after a single jump. Finally, she tries calisthenics and gets a charley horse on her third one.

[[AC:Summer]]
->''"My skills are unchanged by my attire!"''

* InjuredVulnerability: She has the Paralyzed Punisher Ability.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Cleo's swimsuit unintentionally attracts customers to Nina's restaurant after she starts working there. When told this at the end of the day, she's extremely embarrassed, especially when Euden calls her cute.
* LightEmUp: Becomes the Light Element.
* LightIsGood: Is one of the main characters and is of the light element.
* MultiShot: Depending on how many buffs she has, Parasol Shot can have up to an additional four shots (five if the Mana Spiral node is unlocked).
* OvercomplicatedMenuOrder: Is able to create Celliera's specific drink despite it not being on the menu and using a unconventional list of ingredients.
* PalatialSandcastle: Seeing Julietta's amazing sand statue of Elisanne inspired her to try and make her own sandcastle. Unfortunately, her lack of drawing skill also translates to her sandcastle-making abilities, as she won't even allow Euden to SEE hers. When the tide washes it out, she and Euden build another one together.
* TheParalyzer: She can Paralyze foes with her first Skill, Parasol Shot.
* ParasolOfPain: Her first Skill, Parasol Shot, let's her use one to shoot at her opponent.
* ProneToSunburn: Living in the forest for so long, her skin isn't used to so much direct sunlight.
* ShipTease: Cleo goes beet red when Euden calls her swimsuit "cute."
* SupremeChef: Is able to make anything the customer wants while working at the restaurant.
* TeamChef: Uses her cooking skills to help out at Nina's summer restaurant.
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Wears a bikini.

[[AC:Forager]]
->''"We're off to camp!"''
* ChefOfIron: While Cleo has always been the Halidom's head chef, this version is the most blatant about it, since she forages for food to cook with in this alt.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Cleo's Forager alt requires you to obtain enough friendship points to make her stay on your roster, despite Cleo herself having already joined the party permanently prior during Chapter 1.
* GuestStarPartyMember: Cleo's Forager alt serves as the temporary party member of the Princess Connect event, becoming permanent once friendship has been maxed out.
* ForgetsToEat: Is shocked to find Fleur does this and immediately tries to help her.
* IDoNotLikeGreenEggsAndHam: When Pecorine and Mitsuba start eating fiend meat, Cleo is disgusted due to finding the idea of eating a fiend revolting. However, she tries it herself when they put it in a rice ball so she doesn't have to see it, and she ends up enjoying it.
* LiteralCliffhanger: Cleo accidentally falls off a mountain and is grabbed by Elisanne. She has to let go of her backpack, thus losing all of her supplies, so that Elly can pull her back up.
* MagicWand: Uses a Wand in this form.
* MakingASplash: Goes back to being Water for this alt.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Elisanne is flabbergasted when Cleo, who is notoriously un-athletic, is taking a big backpack to go climb mountains and forage for ingredients.
* ShipTease: Episode 4 of her Adventurer Story has more with Euden, though like usual his ObliviousToLove tendencies frustrate Cleo.
* TastesBetterThanItLooks: Ends up learning this lesson herself in regards to fiend meat, then decides to expand her cooking skills so that the others in the Halidom learn the same lesson in her Adventurer Story.

[[AC:Yukata]]
* ContinuitySnarl: Somewhat. Rodrigo had been giving her gifts of fiend meat in the Castle Stories, which Cleo hated because she thought it was disgusting. However, during her adventures with Pecorine, she learned how tasty fiend meat should be, and her Forager alt Adventurer Story had her try various new recipes based on fiend meat. In this Adventurer Story, though, she implies that she still thinks fiend meat is hideous.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: She does this to Nyarlathotep in "Drifting Sorrows."
* EarlyBirdCameo: She had appeared in the "Indelible Summer" Wyrmprint a good two years before this alt came around.
* FieldPowerEffect: Her skills places a debuff zone that [[StatusInflictionAttack gives enemies status ailments]]. Her first ability, "Festival Fever," increases her strength depending if there are 1 or more debuff zones on the field.
* GoldfishScoopingGame: She tries her luck in the "Indelible Summer" wyrmprint and even hundreds of years haven't improved her luck with it any better.
* LeaveMeAlone: Not with any kind of harshness, but after being forced to close the apple stand after all the apples are ruined, Cleo asks Jakob and Rodrigo to leave her alone for a while.
* MagicWand: Once again uses a Wand.
* ObliviousToLove: Still has no idea Jakob and Rodrigo have eyes for her. They initially think she is going to ask them out on a date, but instead she asks them to help with her apple stand.
* PlayingWithFire: Becomes a Flame Adventurer this time around.
* PursueTheDreamJob: In her Adventure Story, she runs a candied apple stand to take the opportunity to fulfill her 300+ year old dream of being a restauranteur and run an eatery.
* RestaurantOwningEpisode: While not a full restaurant, this is essentially what her festival stand is during her Adventurer Story.
* TerribleArtist: Cleo tried to paint an apple for her stand's banner. Fleur thinks it's of a Blazing Ghost (from the Void Battles).
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: This version is heavily associated with candied apples. She's even eating one in her portrait.
* TragicDream: What Cleo believes of her dream of owning an eatery after being forced to close her apple stand early. Luckily, Luca comes through with some more apples, allowing her to revive her dream.

----
[[AC:Regular]]
* AccidentalProposal: Him inviting Chelsea to live in the Halidom had the latter interpret it as him proposing marriage to her.
* AngerBornOfWorry:
** When Luca finds out Sarisse has been hunting fiends on her own, he's absolutely pissed, as he's fearful she's going to get herself killed. When they save each other during a fiend assault, they put their differences beside them.
** In Valentine's Chelsea's Adventure Story, he got angry that she got hurt just to give him a present.
* AssistCharacter:
** He appears with Elisanne, Ranzal, and Cleo in Gala Prince's second Skill, "Exalted Glory."
** A caricature of him appears in Valentine's Chelsea's first Skill, "Rampaging Passion." It is shareable and if any version of him uses it, she appears.
* BandageMummy: During the whole of Chapter 2, he's bandaged up from his battle against the Waterwyrm Mercury, having his midriff, head, and arm bandaged.
* BigBrotherInstinct:
** He is constantly trying to protect his little sister, despite her being just as much of a competent warrior as him.
** He winds up developing a bond with [[BirdsOfAFeather Wu Kong]] during the "Echoes of Antiquity" Event due to some similarities they share, from their mischievous natures to feeling ostracized by their own people (although in Wu Kong's case, he's human among Qilin).
* BigEater: Almost to the same degree as Ranzal. Halidom residents will usually blame him, alongside Ranzal, whenever any food goes missing.
* BodyguardingABadass: Tries to prevent Sarisse from fighting fiends in Gala Sarisse's Adventurer Story, in fear she'll be killed. It takes him a while to admit that she's skilled enough to head out into battle.
* BookDumb: Luca is almost always the first to tune out the moment anyone starts expositing or tries to engage him in some intellectual pursuit. But he's also quite a skilled inventor, naturalist, and even amateur political thinker, and both Euden and Ranzal are willing to admit that he can be much [[SmarterThanYouLook Smarter Than He Looks]].
* BrilliantButLazy: The "Kicking Back" Wyrmprint shows that he knows all the best spots in the forest to find the best fruit. Sarisse says it's cause he's always looking for new places to slack off.
* BrokenPedestal: A lighter version. He is impressed by Gala Ranzal's reborn spirit, and strives to be just like him. When Ranzal starts acting like a baby when Cleo informs him that dinner isn't ready, Luca's admiration is shattered.
* ButtMonkey: Many of his pranks usually go horribly wrong for him in a hilarious way. This is quite evident in many ''Dragalia Life'' comics and several Wyrmprints featuring him. Also highlighted further in his first Adventurer Story, where he tried to serve dinner with a pie filled with chuckleberries (a berry that forces people to laugh uncontrollably for a long time), only for Sarisse to intervene and force him to taste test his food.
* CharacterDevelopment: Chapter 11 in the main story puts a lot of emphasis on this, shifting from a prankster who disregards Sylvan traditions to a more compassionate young man. [[spoiler:After Mascula's HeroicSacrifice, he decides to find a new purpose in life by fulfilling Mascula's dream of races living together in harmony, which is highlighted in his Gala story.]]
* CulturalRebel: Likes to push against Sylvan elders and traditions, finding them out of touch and in denial of the world's realities.
* EarAche: Played for laughs in Chapter 2 of Fjorm's Adventurer Story, when Cleo tugs on his ears to show that Sylvans do have long, rabbit-like ears and aren’t part of a costume.
* EvenTheLovingHeroHasHatedOnes: Luca has low regard for Emile, but so does almost everyone else on the planet, while [[spoiler:Nedrick]] doesn't elicit the same anger from him that Euden exhibits. His axe to grind is with Kai Yan, who murdered his entire newly-built village without the slightest remorse.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The older foolish to Sarisse's younger responsible.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: He met Chelsea some time before he met the Halidom group but forgot until he needed to find her.
* GlassCannon: Takes the role of one amongst the main characters. Boasting two damaging skills, one that can paralyze and the other that deals more damage against paralyzed enemies. But he’s fragile because he’s a bow adventurer, and he doesn’t have a 100% resistance to any affliction, though that does get fixed after his Mana Spiral.
* GoneHorriblyRight:
** Recruiting Chelsea is this for him. He brought her in as another Sylvan archer while she became obsessive about him.
** In the Castle Story "New Justice," just the mere presence of [[ForGreatJustice Karl]] and Finni makes him think back his prank, only he ends up setting off his chuckleberry bomb in his own pocket.
* HeroicBuild: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #14 when he comes back taller and with bulging muscles after a training session with Celliera, to Euden's horror. It turns out it was all a nightmare Euden was having before the actual training.
* HonorBeforeReason: Does not hesitate to challenge a dragon to battle on his lonesome for the sake of his people, despite the enormous danger to himself and despite that he perhaps could have been more productive leading evacuation efforts or drawing off the enemy safely.
* ICantFeelMyLegs: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #53 when, after 10 minutes of sitting on his knees like Addis does, his legs go numb and he needs someone to unbend him.
* INeedToGoIronMyDog: He does this in Chapter 1 on Fleur's Adventurer Story when Sarisse is just giving him a reason not to show Fleur his prank tools by saying he has to go check out Ranzal's new muscles.
* InjuredVulnerability: After unlocking the node in his Mana Spiral, his second Skill, "Bolt of Light," does more damage to Paralyzed enemies. "Radiant Bonds" inflicts Paralysis and also, via Mana Spiral, inflicts increased damage to Paralyzed foes.
* LightEmUp: All of his variations, excluding his New Year alt, are of the Light Element.
* LightIsGood: While this can be said for most of the Light Adventurers, all of Luca's variations being Light emphasizes his purity and goodness.
* MagikarpPower: His Skills and Abilities (even when his Mana Circles are fully unlocked) are initially lackluster, such as with his two Resistance Abilities "Curse Res 50%" and "Poison Res 25%". After his Mana Spiral is fully unlocked his second Skill can now [[StatusBuffDispel dispell buffs]] and [[InjuredVulnerability deal more damage to Paralyzed enemies]], his first Ability ([[FullHealthBonus while at full health]]) gives him more Strength while also increases his chance to Paralyze enemies by 60%, and his last two Abilities are ”Potent Curse Res 100%” and ”Poison Res 100%.” All of these together means he's capable of giving the likes of Tartarus trouble.
* MeatOVision: ''Dragalia Life'' #376 has him starving in the middle of a pitched fiend battle along with GrowlingGut to the point that he grabs one of the more slime looking fiends and is willing to pull a Pecorine-style move.
* MementoMacGuffin: He picked up Mascula's blade after the android's demise, but never actually uses it outside of his Gala version. [[spoiler:Remembering he has it allows him to shrug off the illusion he gets ensnared in during Chapter 18.]]
* MenAreChildish: Spends much of his time early in the story, and during downtimes, playing pranks. However, this is played down as the story gets more serious, and almost disappears completely after Chapter 11.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Luca tends to push back against the rules and culture of his [[HiddenElfVillage Sylvan village]], viewing them as outdated and insular.
* NiceGuy: Prankster tendencies aside, Luca is a very friendly and upbeat guy to almost everyone he talks to. The huge exception to this is [[ArchEnemy Kai Yan]], whom he completely and utterly ''LOATHES'' with every fiber of his being.
* NotMeThisTime: Gala Sarisse's Adventurer Story Chapter 1 has this with two fiends shot simultaneously. Euden cheers him on, but his bow was still nocked.
* OutOfFocus: While he's present throughout the main story, he's the only main character who doesn't appear in the stories of most other early Adventurers, since he joins the party after they gain the castle that allows the player to start summoning, though he does appear in Halloween Elisanne's and Halloween Edward's Adventurer Stories. In fact, it gets lampshaded during the "Valentine's Confections" Event about why he wasn't invited to a party. Chelsea's Adventurer Story is centered around him as well.
* TheParalyzer: His first Skill, Radiant Bonds, can inflict Paralysis.
** After unlocking the node in his Mana Spiral, his first Ability becomes "Full HP = Strength & Paralysis Edge I," which, at full health, increases his Strength by 15% and increases the chance of Paralysis by 60%.
* ThePrankster: He's such a notorious prankster that his sister immediately knows what's going on when he tries to serve a pie full of berries that force laughter.
* SandInMyEyes: When he thinks Sarisse has found a boyfriend, he starts tearing up, only to deny it when Euden notices.
* ShutUpHannibal: He has this reaction to [[SinisterMinister Father Nikolai]] in Chapter 4 of Alex's Adventurer Story.
--> “Old man? You got three seconds to shut your yapper before we do it instead.”
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His name can also be translated as "Lucas."
* StatusBuffDispel: After unlocking the node in his Mana Spiral, his second Skill, "Bolt of Light," can dispel an enemy's buff.
* SuddenlyShouting: He gets into this in Chapter 2 of Gala Laxi's Adventurer Story after she introduces him to [[RobotBuddy Fig]].
-->"Uhhh, yeah that's...great and all, buuut... LAXI CAN YOU PLEASE HURRY UP AND STOP IT ALREADY?!"
* ToxicFriendInfluence: Sarisse, Cleo, and Elisanne absolutely do NOT want Euden to be a prankster like Luca.
* ThoseTwoGuys: He plays this role, alongside Ranzal, in both the Adventurer Stories and ''Dragalia Life'', both of them being the designated [[ButtMonkey Butt Monkeys]] who are often up to trouble.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Apples.
* YouAreNotAlone: He gives Euden one of these speeches after [[spoiler:snapping him out of an illusion in Chapter 18]].

[[AC:Summer]]
->''"It's Luca time!"''
* AdoptTheFood: Luca finds a wild rabbit he was going to hunt for food, but befriends it and calls it Fluffy.
* BigEater: Is so happy to be reunited with everyone that he starts gorging himself.
* EarlyBirdCameo: His Summer version was already part of "A Splash of Adventure," even having a 3D model in the main screen.
* FightToSurvive: Feels he has to do this after he thinks the main crew abandoned him.
* GlassCannon: [[SquareRaceRoundClass In contrast to other Axe Adventurers]], Summer Luca hits hard and fast (especially when supported by an Energy-buffing ally like Lucretia or Vixel), but crumples like paper if an enemy can land a hit on him.
* GratuitousAnimalSidekick: Gains one in a wild rabbit he names Fluffy.
* HatesBeingAlone: Really begins to realize this after he thinks everyone abandoned him.
* HeroesGoneFishing: After thinking he was abandoned, he tries fishing in order to find food. He's actually pretty good at it.
* {{Keet}}: Even more hyperactive than usual. [[GamePlayAndStoryIntegration He even has a passive chance to double any Energy buff he receives]].
* LightEmUp: Stays a Light Element.
* {{Robinsonade}}: Gets separated from the team in his Adventurer Story and has to fend for himself. While he has no trouble with the survival aspect, he quickly starts panicking when he realizes that his friends are taking an idordinantly long time to find him, to the point that he worries they just straight up abandoned him and already left for home. It becomes quite heartbreaking when he starts to think he's TheFriendNobodyLikes, which is fortunately proven wrong as the party ''does'' manage to find him in time.
* SurferDude: Is this for the Wyrmprint "Surfing Siblings" with his sister Sarisse.
* ThinkingOutLoud: He realizes he's doing this in Chapter 2 of his Adventurer Story after getting a fire lit.
--> "...Wait, who am I even talking to? Guess a guy just can't help talkin' to himself more when he's alone."
* WalkingShirtlessScene: As expected for a beach trip.

[[AC:Gala]]
->''"I'll show ya some real bladework!"''
* AllLovingHero: Possibly even more than Euden. He even chooses to go melee so he'll be forced to remember his non-Fiend [[WhatMeasureIsAMook opponents are people instead of faceless]] {{Mook}}s.
* CategoryTraitor: While Luca had always [[MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch pushed back against more stifling Sylvan traditions]], [[spoiler:cutting down the álfr tree that's causing all the non-Sylvans of the Halidom to fall ill]] marks him as a race traitor and cuts him off from traditional Sylvan society. He has no trouble accepting this, seeing himself more as a world citizen than a Sylvan.
* CriticalHitClass: His kit revolves around increasing his Critical Hit rate and Critical Damage.
** His first Ability, Connecting Call, increases his Critical Rate for each different pictured buff and also gives him one of three buffs (Sylvan Secret Arts, Human Wisdom, and Rokkan Expertise, which also each increase his Critical Rate) each time he lands a CriticalHit.
** His second Ability, Unforgettable Promise, increases his Critical Rate each time he resists Curse. His Mana Spiral now allows him to resist both Curse and Poison.
** His third Ability, Flurry Devastation, increases his Critical Rate for every 15-Hit combo. His Mana Spiral changes it to a flat Critical Rate increase..
** His first Skill, Shining Slash, gains a 10% increase in its Critical Rate for every unique buff he has.
** Lastly, his second Skill, Brilliant Booster, increases his Critical Damage by a significant 80%. His Mana Spiral adds in a Strength Amp for each party member still alive.
* ChainmailBikini: His armor consists of little more than a pauldron, a grieve, and two thin strips of metal covering his nipples.
* DelayedCausality: Shining Slash is a quick version of this where, after charging through his target, it looks like it only did one hit until several stacks of numbers start piling on.
* TheExile: He is no longer welcome in Sylvan society, including his own village, thanks to [[spoiler:cutting down an álfr tree]]. Not that any future stories actually reflect this in any way, shape, or form.
* TheIdealist: Bordering but not quite reaching [[WideEyedIdealist wide-eyed naivete]]. While he sometimes overestimates Dyrenell soldiers' willingness to accept his peacemaking attempts as good faith efforts, he does acknowledge that they are living people as well.
* InspirationalMartyr: [[spoiler:Luca's willingness to stick to his ideals in the face of exile inspires many of the Sylvians at the Halidom, including Sarisse, to help cut down the álfr tree and take up Luca's self-proclaimed identity as a "planetian" alongside him--though they think the name for it is very dumb.]]
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Takes up Mascula's weapon to become a Blade Adventurer.
* LightEmUp: Like his previous variants, he's a Light Adventurer.
* MartialPacifist: Begins to take up this approach, inspired by Mascula. He won't hesitate in defending himself or others, but he'll always try the peaceful option first and even tend to the wounded on the opposing side.
* MundaneUtility: "Slicing apples counts as Blade training, yeah?"
* MementoMacGuffin: The blade he wields used to be Mascula's.
* NoShirtLongJacket: His clothes.
* SuperDickery: His Adventurer Story begins by showing a scene from [[InMediasRes later on]] where he overthrows the Prince and claims the Halidom as his own. [[spoiler:Turns out, he was only trying to convince everyone to get away from the source of a disease that had spread throughout the Halidom which affected everyone except Sylvans.]]
* TookALevelInIdealism: Thanks to Mascula.
* TribalFacePaint: A bit ironic, as he winds up ''renouncing'' his Sylvan identity.

[[AC:Kimono]]
->''"Happy New Year!"''
* AllLovingHero: Exemplified in his Adventurer Story. He tries to dress up a fiend so they can celebrate the new year as well, and literally spends days writing out personalized messages on what are essentially Hinomoto New Year's greeting cards.
* BlowYouAway: Is of the Wind element breaking his streak of his alts being the same as his regular self.
* ForeignCultureFetish: Hearing all about Hinomoto traditions from Botan and Sanzaka gets Luca's juices flowing, and he tries to incorporate those customs to the Halidom and even his Sylvan village.
* GiantAnimalWorship: Since Grastaea doesn't have Amatarasu to pray to, Luca decides to pray to the Dragons instead.
* NewYearHasCome: Kimono Luca's Adventurer Story is all about him trying to celebrate New Year's in Hinomotoan style as much as he can.
* LazyBum: Luca ''really'' does not want to spend New Year's cleaning, much to Cleo's dismay.
* PromotedToPlayable: Like Elisanne, Luca had first been seen wearing his kimono in "Fortune From Afar," but he hadn't been playable in it until "Fortune's Fray."
* ShrinesAndTemples: Upon hearing that Hinomotoans visit a shrine to start the New Year, Luca wants to do the same thing. However, since Grastaea doesn't have any shrines, he subtitutes the Dragon's Roost instead.

While learning more about Sylvan culture in Initio, she dons some of the town's attire while wielding a manacaster given to her by Chelle.
----
[[AC:NPC]]
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Luca sees her as this.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: As much as she butts heads with her brother, she still loves and cares for him very dearly, enough to [[spoiler:join him in cutting down the álfr tree without hesitation, even if she becomes an exile for it.]]
* BackToBackBadasses: The "Better Together" Wyrmprint has her in this pose with Melsa.
* ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike: Gets annoyed at two mercenaries who complain she and Melsa weren't fast enough trying to save them from some zombies during the "Postmortem Panic" Event.
* CutenessProximity: Expresses that she finds Melsa way too cute and adorable to make a believable zombie.
* TheExile: [[spoiler:Joins her brother in cutting down the álfr tree in Gala Luca's Adventurer Story]], which constitutes a banishable offense in Sylvan tradition.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The younger responsible to Luca's older foolish.
* TheLeader: Essentianlly takes up this position in the "Postmortem Panic" Event when the regular crew is off hunting zombies.
* LittleBitBeastly: Is a Sylvan.
* LittleSisterHeroine: She happens to be the younger sister of Luca.
* NavelWindow: Her outfit has an opening to show her bellybutton and a section of her abdomen.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Has white hair, like her father.
* NiceGirl: Despite her hot-headedness and brashness, Sarisse happens to be cheerful and kind, and is willing to help others in need. Most evident in the "Kindness and Captivity" Event where she befriended Melsa [[spoiler:and quick to forgive her for leading the party into the Empire's trap, noting that Melsa has no intentions of trying to betray the prince and was forced to do so to save her village]].
* PassThePopcorn:
** During "That Special Day Part 3," she hopes that a CatFight happens between all three of Elisanne, Aoi, and Xania.
---> "RIGHT?! I'm personally hoping they'll start fighting and rolling on the ground and pulling each other's hair or whatever. That would be the BEST."
** Then she gets disappointed when the three of them show up together, after having made up.
---> "...Huh? Why are they holding hands? WHERE'S MY HAIR PULLING?!"
* RedOniBlueOni: The more brash and hot-headed red to the kind-hearted and soft-spoken Melsa's blue during the "Kindness and Captivity" Event.
* SleevesAreForWimps: Both her base/Gala attire and her Sharpshooter outfit are sleeveless, and both are competent fighters.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: ''Dragalia Life'' #205 reveals hers is strawberries.
* TrickArrow: ''Dragalia Life'' #402 has her adjusting the fletching of her arrows to turn them into trick arrows. The first one does a loop-de-loop while the second gives the (false) impression of ImprobableAimingSkills by hitting Luca's apple in his hand... behind her! She tries to pass it off as ExactlyWhatIAimedAt, to her brother's chagrin.
* WeNeedADistraction: Leads the villagers in acting as this for the Imperial zombies in the "Postmortem Panic" Event, so that Melsa and Akasha can put a stop to the plague.
* YouShallNotPass: Refuses to allow the zombies to enter the Halidom in the "Postmortem Panic" Event.

[[AC:Gala]]

* BadassAdorable: Who would have thought Luca's adorable younger sister happens to be one of the best ranged DPS Adventurers Flame has?
* BashSiblings: Luca and Sarisse in the same party can be this.
** They also become this in her Adventurer Story once they apologize to each other.
* BigEater: Ranzal finds out the hard way that she can woof down as much as he can, perhaps more.
* BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce: Tries a meal called the "Helltongue Spicy Special," and while she doesn't get fire breath, she does immediately yell for water. Eventually, she becomes [[AcquiredPoisonImmunity numb to the hotness]].
* BodyguardingABadass: Luca keeps insisting that Sarisse not take part in battles, but she eventually shows him that his worries are unfounded.
* CombatCompliment: When Sarisse saves the gang from from fiends, Luca heavily compliments her archery skills without knowing it was her. When she finds out, she's ecstatic.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Has no idea what her dream is, which is why she wants to fight alongside Euden and the others.
* FragileSpeedster: Mixes this with a bit of GlassCannon.
** Being a bow adventurer makes her fragile but she can buff her strength with her second skill, and on every second use increase her defense.
** She can also increase her attack, Critical rate and gain an extra level of energy for every 20-hit combo.
** Her first skill also fires [[{{Multishot}} more shots]] the more buffs she has, up to a maximum of 7, which she can provide on her own.
* TheLeader: Eventually decides that her dream is to be the Chief of her village.
* LeeroyJenkins: Upon a village she used to visit getting destroyed by Imperial troops, Sarisse wants to immediately go out and get revenge. Ranzal has to remind her to fight smarter, not harder, by showing her that Euden and the crew are prioritizing making sure everyone's safe and has temporary shelter first.
* MagneticHero: Is impressed at how much of this Euden is, and why he is such an inspiration to her.
* {{Multishot}}: Her first Skill, Brilliant Bolt, increases the number of hits, up to a maximum of eight, in proportion to how many buffs she has.
* PlayingWithFire: Is of the Flame Element.
* PurposelyOverpowered: She's the first Gala Adventurer featured, and has a ridiculously overloaded kit, as well as the first Adventurer to have [[AntiDebuff 100% Resistance]] against ''two'' status effects.
* PromotedToPlayable: After so many months of being an NPC in the story, this is her first iteration that she finally gets to be a playable character, as the first Gala Adventurer.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: Says she will never forgive the Empire for trampling over Sylvan villages, like the one she used to trade with a while back.
* WeNeedADistraction: Decides to play a decoy to some Imperial soldiers in order to buy time for the main cast, and a group of villagers they are rescuing, to get away. Luca insists on joining her.
* WhatTheHellHero: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #55 when she shoots suction cup arrows at Luca to show how much of a crack shot she is. Euden says not to use her brother as target practice.

[[AC:Hunter]]
->''"Let's go hunting!"''

* BlindedByTheLight: Uses flash bombs to stun the Rathalos in order to capture it. The first few times it fails, but eventually she gets the hang of it with some homemade ones.
* BringItBackAlive: The Soaratorium Gal gives her a quest to capture a Rathalos alive. The same one she just swiped an egg from a few days earlier.
* ChargedAttack: Is built around using Force strikes, and can charge her force strike to higher levels along with her second skill that can increase Force stoke damage by 100%. Prior to a later update she was the only adventurer that could move ''and'' charge her force strike.
* CubCuesProtectiveParent: Is charged with grabbing a Rathalos egg, but the egg is so heavy she can't swipe it before its papa shows up. This is what leads to her putting on her Hunter gear.
* GlassCannon: She can bring the pain like nothing else.[[labelnote:*]]In fact it’s almost the highest in the game[[/labelnote]] But can’t tank hits at all nor can she do anything to negate or reduce that outside of dodging.
* InHarmonyWithNature: Being a Sylvan, Sarisse is adept at finding various minerals and herbs for the Soaratorium Gal.
* LosingHorns: She does this when you fail/quit a mission.
--> "Quest failed. Womp womp."
* MakingASplash: Changes to the Water Element
* PoisonIsEvil: Becomes poisoned from a Dreadking Rathalos. Luckily, she has an antidote.
* {{Prequel}}: Her whole Adventurer Story takes place before, and leads into, the "''Monster Hunter'': Primal Crisis" story.
* UniquenessDecay: Hunter Sarisse used to be really unique among Bow Adventurers, to the point of being a MechanicallyUnusualFighter, thanks to her Force Strike functioning completely differently from others, until an update made every Bow Adventurer's Force Strike work like hers. Now, the only thing that makes her Force Strike different is its multiple charge levels.

[[AC:Sharpshooter]]
->''"With a bang... I'm on the scene!"''
* BrainFreeze: She gets this after eating crushed ice in Mora.
* CentipedesDilemma: During the trip to Mora, Luca and Noelle find her eating crushed ice in an igloo when she couldn't handle the cold earlier. Soon as they point it out, she passes out sick from a fever.
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Sarisse's individual shots don't do much damage, but quantity is a quality all its own and they can add up; this lets her destroy hit-count objects almost as fast as Notte, Leonidas or Gala Chelle.
* ExposedToTheElements: While Luca isn't any better about it, Sarisse learns the hard way about the GrimUpNorth trope with how cold it gets in Mora.
* ForeignQueasine: Chapter 3 of her Adventurer Story has her try some Moran fish which is dried, fermented and the locals told her not to open the bag. She not only does so, but actually eats it.
* LosingHorns: She only says them in her boss fight with Isaac.
-->"Womp womp. Guess I overshot."
* SensoryOverload: Chapter 2 in her Adventurer Story has her do this by firing her manacaster at a bear with the intent to scare it away.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: She uses a shotgun as a Close-Range Manacaster.
* TrainingMontage: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #358 where because manacasters are noisy, after Cleo jokingly says if she could train her ears to plug them into themselves, and then she imagines Sarisse doing workouts around her ears to the point she's able to literally crush an apple with them.
* WhatTheHellHero: In her Adventurer Story, a sylvan hunter gives her this for having a manacaster. Since it's made from steel which comes from mountains which have been torn apart from aggressive mining over the years, especially with the current war. Even if the manacaster she has was just an ancient relic, Mother Nature still paid the price for making it.

For the summer, she dresses down to spend a sultry vacation with Elisanne.
----
[[AC:Regular]]
* AmbiguouslyGay: Alex has a close bond with Elisanne and is very protective of her, but it's debatable whether her feelings are platonic or romantic.
* TheAtoner: Is this for the many she killed in the name of the Ilian Church. Her Adventurer Story shows her progress, and it's built upon in her Gala version.
* BeAllMySinsRemembered: Is reluctant to accept any positive feelings, due to feeling she doesn't deserve them because of how many people she has killed.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Her one positive memory before joining the Halidom crew was meeting Elisanne.
-->A long time ago, a friend said something that stuck with me. "Every child is a blessing from the goddess, and every life should be happy."
* CastingAShadow: Is appropriately a Shadow Adventurer.
* DubNameChange: From Shannon in the Japanese version to Alex in the English version.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She was the assassin who had tried to kill Elisanne in Chapter 1. It's not until Chapter 8 that she's finally recruited.
* FamilyOfChoice: Comes to see Elisanne and the rest of the Halidom crew as this by the end of her Adventurer Story.
* FragileSpeedster: Doesn’t have the highest damage around nor a way to help with survivability, but she does bring the ability to poison along with a defense debuff on her first skill.
* FriendToAllChildren: Has a fondness for orphans and goes out of her way to help them.
* ForcedIntoEvil: She was gaslit into becoming an assassin by [[SinisterMinister Father Nikolai]], who convinced her that she was a hopeless sinner after accidentally killing a man in self-defense and that her only path to salvation was to assassinate heretics.
* GenderBlenderName: Both her Japanese and English versions' names are gender-neutral.
* HeelFaceTurn: She is persuaded by Elisanne and Euden to abandon her extremist goal of enforcing Ilian doctrine and join them at the Halidom.
* InTheHood: She wears a hood over her head. The only time we ever see it pulled down is in the Twinfold Bonds Wyrmprint.
** She switched over to a white one when her Gala self became Gala Elisanne's bodyguard.
** She wears a light hoodie for Summer but leaves it off and instead wears a hat.
* JustLikeRobinHood: Slightly. She doesn't steal her money, but most of her salary is donated to the local orphanage.
* KickThemWhileTheyreDown: Her Silent Reaper Skill does much more damage on Broken enemies.
* MamaBear: Chapter 3 of her Adventurer Story has her beating up bandits as well as the master of the orphanage who was selling children to the Church to be trained as assassins.
* TheMole: Not Alex herself, but Chapter 1 of her Adventurer Story has her discover that an Ilian priest hired she, Euden, and Elisanne as bodyguards in order to have them killed.
* NoPlaceForMeThere: Initially thinks she isn't worthy of being at the Halidom after an incident results in Euden TakingTheBullet for her, but both Elisanne and Euden are quick to pull her back in.
* OrphanageOfLove: Makes sure the new orphanage at the Halidom is one of these so that no one else like Father Nikolai emerges.
* PoisonousPerson:
** Her first Skill can inflict Poison.
** Her Gala self can inflict Poison with her second Skill.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: She delivers an awesome one to Leonidas at the end of Chapter 12, forcing him to remember the original reason he created Valkaheim was not to have the strong trample the weak, but to help the weak become strong, and makes him realize that his current actions are a betrayal of what he stood for. And it works!
* SamusIsAGirl: In the Japanese version, Euden didn't know Alex was a girl until he helped her on his shoulder after she was hurt by Mars's attack.
* SixthRanger: Joins well after the main crew has been assembled.
* StreetUrchin: She was one before Elisanne brought her under the protection of the Ilian Church.
* SurpriseParty: The Halidom crew throw one for her in order to make her feel more welcome.
* TrueCompanions: Most of her Adventurer Story is her learning to accept Euden and the crew as these.
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:She chews out Elisanne in Chapter 15 for keeping secrets from the party (namely, the truth about Euden) and urges her to tell the truth before Euden himself unwisely intervenes.]]
* YouAreNotAlone: After finding out Father Nikolai was still raising orphaned children as assassins, Alex was prepared to confront him herself, but had to be reminded of this by Elisanne and Euden.

[[AC:Gala]]
->''"I will protect everyone!"''
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Her illustration depicts her with this.
* BodyguardingABadass: She protects Elisanne, the Grand Paladyn, whom is known to be a frontline fighter. Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #224 when she slices up a bowl of hot curry Elisanne was eating which burned her tongue. Played up much more seriously in her Adventurer Story when it's revealed [[spoiler: Elisanne is somehow related to the Key to Perdition, which would allow the full contents of the Scrolls of Perdition to be read.]]
* CastingAShadow: Sticks with being a Shadow Adventurer.
* ClearMyName: Chapter 2 of her Adventurer Story has a Perditionist assassin claim she was the one who sold him the tools responsible for carrying out the bombing against the Archbishop and Elisanne. Chapter 3 has her framed for killing the same assassin that blamed her. Chapter 4 has her blamed for killing Klaus, the former church archivist. At the end of the story, her name is cleared up after the mastermind of the story is revealed, along with help from Elisanne.
* DifficultButAwesome: Her Skill descriptions might as well be an entire instruction manual, but once you get the hang of chaining together the right Skills, she becomes one of the most devastating Shadow adventurers in the game.
* FightingYourFriend: Chapter 5 of her Adventurer Story has her and Elisanne fight each other when Elly believes she's gone back to the assassin life to hunt down the Perditionists. [[spoiler: It was all a ruse to get Dorothy and Archbishop Magnus to lower their guard.]]
* FormFittingWardrobe: Her outfit fits her form more closely which makes her more recognizable as female.
* GoodWearsWhite: Her outfit has a white hooded cape, pants and knee armor.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Switches from Dagger to Sword for her Gala.
* InjuredVulnerability: Has both Poison Punisher and Reduced Defense Punisher as Abilities.
* JustBetweenYouAndMe: She goes along with Dorothy's escape in Chapter 3 and confronts her so she can confirm she was the one behind the assassination attempt.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Not only does Gala Alex have a different attack string than other Sword users, but her Skills are also powered by a Skill Reservoir instead of being charged individually. The Skill Reservoir can hold up to three charges, allowing Alex to use up to three Skills in a row.
* PleaseWakeUp: She shouts this at Elisanne after being forced to defend herself, fearing she's killed her friend. [[spoiler: Turns out it was all a ruse both she and Elisanne planned, to get Dorothy and Archbishop Magnus out.]]
* {{Sequel}}: Not only does her Adventurer Story take place after her regular self's, but it also takes after Gala Elisanne's Adventurer Story.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: She changes out of her black hood to a white one. It attests to the vow she swore to never again be stained by blood.

[[AC:Summer]]
->''"Beach security mission is a go."''
* AssistCharacter: Summons Summer Elisanne when using her "Burning Bonds" skill.
* BreakingOldTrends: Her first alt that's not only a permanent addition outside of Gala Dragalia, but is also an alternate element as well.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: A female contestant confesses her love for Alex after she saves her.
--> ''"I... I love you, Alex! I want nothing more than to be swaddled next to your protective bosom! PLEASE!"''

A commander android from 300 years ago. She contains the "[[HeartDrive heart]]" of her pacifist "brother" Mascula, and they often conflict with each other.
\
After learning to synch with each other they unlocked Eden mode to fight for peace.
\
With Chelle's help, Mascula becomes capable of controlling his body remotely.
\
In hopes of learning the thoughts of Maestro, Laxi takes part in a Halloween play the lead role of Fran.
----
[[AC:Regular]]
* ActualPacifist: Mascula is committed enough to pacifism that he immediately attempts to confiscate everyone's weapons, in the middle of an active warzone, upon activation.
* AIIsACrapshoot: Laxi and Mascula literally betray Emile the moment they're activated, which is [[XanatosGambit why Chelle let him "steal" them in the first place]]. Chapter 14 has the combat androids under her command developing their own consciousness to the point of [[spoiler: performing a HeroicSacrifice to charge through an electric barrier to shut it down.]]
* BeatStillMyHeart: Mascula rips out his own heart, knowing his body will die, so long as it fixes his sister.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Mascula was able to come into his own and save his sister due to Luca's kindness.
* BloodKnight: Laxi is pretty trigger happy in resolving conflicts with violence.
-->'''Mascula''': Let's use this strength to resolve conflicts.\
'''Laxi''': No, we use this strength to fight.
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique:
** Annihilation Mode grants Laxi incredible power, but she's unable to distinguish between friend and foe and can't control herself, causing her to attack everything in sight. She eventually works around this by having Mascula take control of her body before she hurts her allies, since Mascula isn't affected by Annihilation Mode.
** Eden Mode is even more powerful than Annihilation Mode, but if she stays in it for longer than 30 seconds, her core temperature will cause her to meltdown, though by the time she achieves her Gala self, this limit is discarded.
* EatingMachine: Laxi can ingest both food and other items for energy and material for repairs. However, she has no sense of taste.
* ExtremeOmnivore: While Laxi and Mascula need to eat, they can opt to consume inorganic materials in place of food and have no sense of taste to dissuade them from doing such. Mascula recounts that they mainly ate dirt during the First War Of Binding, as it was everywhere and didn't cut into the human soldiers' rations.
* FloralThemeNaming: Their names derive from species of orchids (from ''Orchis mascula subsp. laxifloriformis''), which itself gives the name to their Orchis System.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Mascula has little concept of opposing "sides" in a war and will actively try to aid Imperial soldiers in escapes or after-action patch-ups.
* GlassCannon: Is very much one compared to the rest of the cast, particularly after using her second skill, which activates Limiters released. After activating it she gains a 50% strength buff, her first skill is also made stronger and hits more. But she takes constant damage while it’s active, and should her health fall below 30% she will be gain a regen buff, but will forced to remain stationary, can’t attack and removed any buffs or debuffs once per quest. She also gains an extra 20% strength buff and 50% defense debuff when below 30% hp.
* HalfIdenticalTwins: Were it not for clothing and Mascula's bangs, they would have been entirely indistinguishable.
* HornedHumanoid: While she doesn't have an alt for the "''Monster Hunter'': Primal Crisis" Event, the Lurker in the Woods Wyrmprint has her in Kirin armor, joining Lin You and Mao Mao on the hunt for a Dreadking Rathalos.
* ItsAllMyFault: When the androids under their control start to develop emotions, because of Mascula's influence, and defied their orders to save everyone at the cost of their own lives, Mascula is so horrified by what happened that he forfeits control of Laxi's body and hides himself in the deepest recesses of their heart. Laxi convinces him to stop blaming himself because even though the androids felt fear as they died, they still chose to sacrifice themselves anyway because they wanted to protect everyone.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Her Regular version uses a Blade.
* KnightTemplar: Chapter 1 of her Adventurer Story has her just about kill a cat over stealing fish until Mascula reins her in.
--> '''Laxi:''' Theft is a crime. You will answer for it with your life.\
'''Mascula:''' WHOA! Too extreme!
* LosingYourHead: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #189 when Luca has her play Simon Says by having her turn her head left and right until it just pops off her body.
* LostTechnology: Androids were absent from history for roughly a thousand years before Chelle managed to excavate and restore them. Even the three-hundred-year-old Cleo had no knowledge of them.
* LudicrousPrecision: Chapter 2 has them slicing up some beef for dinner in front of Cleo and Elisanne, with 36 equal portions and a less than 1% error margin.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Despite the name, Mascula is significantly more InTouchWithHisFeminineSide than Laxi, who's prone to thinking MurderIsTheBestSolution.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: If there's a problem, Laxi would prefer to kill it.
* MurderousMalfunctioningMachine: Laxi starts off as a berserk killing machine upon activation, as her heart was fractured. Mascula's heart is later used to repair Laxi's, returning her to normal operation.
* PlayingWithFire: Is of the Fire Element.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Laxi and Mascula constantly argue over everything, from what to do with a captured soldier to what color to wear. The only reason they can get anything done at all is because Laxi has much more control over their shared body.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: They were active during the War of First Binding, which was about a thousand years ago.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: When Laxi enters Annihilation Mode, her eyes glow red.
* RedOniBlueOni: Laxi is red, Mascula is (or rather was) blue.
* RobotGirl: With an additional Robot Boy brain.
* RoboSpeak: Laxi speaks in a bit of a robotic manner, while Mascula speaks in a more human-like manner.
* SharingABody: After Mascula performs a HeroicSacrifice to repair Laxi. Laxi still has primary control of the body, but Mascula is fully conscious, has full access to her speech functions, and can also occasionally override other controls with enough effort.
* TheSpock: Laxi is definitely this, recognizing the Faerie Forest plays havoc on a person's ego in Chapter 18 through Mascula.
* TalkingToThemself: While Laxi's mostly in control, Mascula has full access to her speech functions and a lot of opinions to voice. The game distinguishes their dialogue by formatting Mascula's with triangle brackets.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: [[spoiler:They give a thorough one on the nature of freedom to Ayaha and Otoha after two separate thrashings.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: By Chapter 14, Laxi has become much more compassionate and refined her yearn for battle into a desire to protect her friends. She even learns how to empathize with the other androids in ways even Mascula couldn't understand at first.
* TwoSiblingsInOne: Laxi is the main consciousness while Mascula has partial control after transplanting his HeartDrive into Laxi to repair her own.
* VoicesAreNotMental: Despite being androids, Mascula speaks with Laxi's voice in a deeper, more masculine tone instead of speaking in his own voice.

[[AC:Gala Laxi]]
->''"Command accepted! Commencing operation!"''
* [[AnimalsHateHim Animals Hate Them]]: Even after fully activating Eden Mode, cats still want nothing to do with Laxi.
* AttackDrone: The Fig when Eden mode is active. In their Adventurer Story, they found it in their Maestro's lab's hidden chamber.
* BadassLongcoat: Part of their new regalia. They found it in their Maestro's lab.
* BladeSpam: And ''HOW''! Thanks to how their attack strings and Skills work, it's not at all unusual for their combo count to reach into the '''500s'''!
* TheConscience: Normally, this would be Mascula, but during Mascula's freak out in their Adventurer Story, Laxi is forced to act as this, which allows them to fully activate Eden Mode.
* DamnedByFaintPraise: Both Laxi and Mascula agree that Luca's biggest contribution was to stay unconscious. Luca wishes he could deny that.
* DifficultButAwesome: They have two distinct attack combo strings depending on how you tap the screen, with the properly timed combo being more damaging and charging their Skills faster. Mastery of this combo turns them into one of the most damaging Flame Adventurers in the game.
* DualWielding: They dual wield Daggers, both in a ReverseGrip.
* LostTechnology: Laxi and Mascula discover they have a mana kiln inside them, a device that was originally created a thousand years ago. They use it to pull in mana to activate Eden Mode.
* MentalFusion: Eden Mode is achieved by Laxi and Mascula synchronizing together and effectively merging their spirits together.
* NextTierPowerUp: Once fully unlocked, Eden Mode becomes this in-universe.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: Their 3D model ReverseGrip {{dual wield|ing}} daggers no matter what dagger is equipped to them.
* PlayingWithFire: Stays in the Flame Element.
* ReluctantWarrior: During their Adventure Story Mascula was this, which had prevented the duo from stabilizing Eden Mode.
* {{Sequel}}: Their Adventurer Story takes place after Chapter 14.
* {{Synchronization}}: Before, Mascula was always trying to do this with Laxi, but eventually, Laxi realizes that she has to synchronize with Mascula as well. This allows them to fully unleash Eden Mode.
* TakingTheBullet: A villager Mascula saved before does this to save the android from being captured by Imperial soldiers. Mascula does not take it well.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: Laxi realizes that she literally does not have the capacity to understand his pacifism, but when a villager sacrifices himself to save Laxi, she is able to understand mercy for one's enemies, allowing the two to synchronize.

[[AC:Gala Mascula]]
->''"Mascula, starting up!"''
* CallBack: Chapter 3 of his story has him and Luca reminisce about their first meeting in Chapter 11 when he was stealing weapons out of both Empire and Alberian forces alike.
* CoolSword: Since his original blade was taken up by Luca, Chelle provided a new one for him.
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Most of his damage output comes from his standard attack combo, which is weaker than the normal blade combo, but deals multiple hits with each swing. When unmodified, his attacks only do a few weak hits each, but his skills grant him the Master Control and Amplified Current effects, which each increase the number of hits his standard attacks deal, to the point where with both of them active, he can dish out dozens of hits per second.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Mascula's adventurer story establishes that he can't go into Eden mode with Laxi and control his body at the same time on account of Eden Mode requiring the two of them to be in perfect sync which can't be done while Mascula is controlling his body. Despite this, he can be on the same team as either version of Laxi.
* GainingTheWillToKill: Chapter 2 has him discover one of Jinlorda's loyalists controlling androids, but can't bring himself to kill him. He realizes while he's felt Laxi kill others before in her body, he's never done so on his own.
* {{Interquel}}: His Adventurer Story takes place between Chapters 19 and 20.
* MartialPacifist: Mascula was known to be against combat and killing even before he and Laxi started sharing a body. As such, he starts out hesitant in taking a life when he regains control. While he isn't a fan, he eventually comes to terms that he will have to kill in order to protect when he strikes down a faerie to save Euden.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: No matter what blade is equipped to him, his 3D model wields the blade given to him by Chelle.
* PromotedToPlayable: While Mascula has technically been playable by being a part of Laxi, Chelle's work on his body allows it to be playable as well.
* RemoteBody: Mascula is technically still inside of Laxi. Thanks to Chelle though, he is able to control his body without having to be in it.
* StatusBuffDispel: He has two ways to dispel enemy buffs [[ConditionalPowers after gaining]] the "Master Control" buff from using his base second skill "Code 36: Coolant Cycle".
** His enhanced second skill "Code 06: Conclusion" dispels one buff on each enemy hit.
** His first ability "Accelerator Unit" dispels buffs on the fourth attack of his standard attack combo.
* WhatIsThisFeeling: After killing the faerie controlling the android in Chapter 4, [[MyEyesAreLeaking he thought he was just leaking coolant]], but Luca points out he's actually leaking tears of sadness.

[[AC:Halloween]]
->''"Trick mode, activate!"''
* BottomlessMagazines: Averted. Using their force strike consumes their unique Clockwork gauge, and when the gauge is empty, they cannot use their force strike while it reloads. To compensate for this limitation, their force strike deals more damage, fires off faster, shreds the Overdrive gauge faster, and also makes them much more mobile while firing. In addition, they can reload their Clockwork gauge on demand with their second skill, which fully reloads the gauge when their combo count is over 100.
* FriendlyScheming: During the Adventure Story, in order to give a good prank to Luca a group called Dunk-on-Luca Committee assembled which includes Halloween Laxi (with Mascula), Sarisse, Laranoa, Halloween Althemia, Halloween Melsa, Halloween Lowen, Halloween Mym and Halloween Sylus.
* HalloweenTrickery: For the Adventure Story, Laxi (and Mascula) learns how to and the true meaning of playing pranks.
* SkewedPriorities: If her health gets critically low, she will comment on her costume getting damaged disregarding the fact that her condition is more important, which Mascula lampshades.

His Gala self gets new armor and swears fealty to the Prince.
\
He dresses up as a civilian in an effort to escape from Grams.
----
[[AC:NPC]]
* BatmanGambit: In Chapter 1 of Patia's Adventurer Story, he knew she'd pull a LeeroyJenkins on an Imperial ambush unit not only to break them up, but to give their militia a victory before the real battle begins.
* BigDamnHeroes:
** Chapter 13 has him save Euden from Void Poseidon's attack.
** He also does it by saving Euden from a larger fiend in Chapter 2 in his Gala Adventurer Story.
** After Cecile helps bail him out of Grams when the Templar hunt for him, he turns around later and saves Cecile from their attempts to interrogate her.
* TheCameo: His NPC self appears in Eugene's Adventurer Story. %%Remove this trope from here if a regular version of him becomes available.
* TheChessmaster: Besides literally playing Alberian Chess, he uses it to gauge Chelle's personality in Chapter 9. He's also played it against the other royalty siblings in Phares, Valyx, and Leonidas.
* TheConfidant: Euden considers him one of his most trusted friends.
* GuestStarPartyMember: Leif aids you in the battle against Void Poseidon in Chapter 13.
* KnightInShiningArmor: And ''how'', especially compared to [[SmugSnake Harle]] and [[ShellShockedVeteran Cecile]]. He is ''not'' thrilled with the kingdom's sudden change into an empire, by any means.
* LethalChef: In the ''Dragalia Life'' comic shorts, his horrible cooking is often highlighted. It seems he's so respected that nobody has the heart to tell him that his cooking is horrible. He manages to poison ''Leonidas'' with the curry he laid out as a trap in ''Dragalia Life'' #285!
* MentorArchetype: He has mentored ''all seven'' of Aurelius's heirs, seeking out their strengths and honing them as best as he can. He has succeeded to varying degrees, but we know Euden looks up to him as a respected friend and teacher. Considering how capable most of them are (and even Emile has at least [[{{Determinator}} one respectable trait]]), that speaks well of how good a mentor he is.
* ObliviousToLove: Has no idea Chelle has romantic feelings for him.

[[AC:Gala]]
* BlowYouAway: Gala Leif is Wind Element.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: With Feathered Gale, he is able to cause a small 5% Defense drop against his enemies.
* InjuredVulnerability: Has the unique Co-Ability Reduced Strength & Defense Punisher, which increases the teams damage dealt towards enemies that have their Strength or Defense reduced for the entire party. He also has Debuff Skill Time, which increases how long debuffs last for. His Parrying Slash Skill also deals more damage so long as the enemy has a Defense debuff.
* MeaningfulName: His nickname "The White Sparrow" symbolizes his nature as a MentorArchetype - as he himself states, he is no Dragonblood, but he can still fly ahead and show his students the way.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: Though subtle, his Gala armor and sword are different from his regular NPC version, due to being more ornate.
* StanceSystem: Has two different stances, Shielding and Striking. Shielding Stance causes his Skills to increase his Defense, cause Poison, or deal more damage against Defense debuffed enemies. While in Striking Stance, his Skills will instead cause Defense debuffs, deal more damage against Poisoned enemies, or decrease enemies' Strength.
* PoisonousPerson: He can inflict Poison using his Shielding Stace second Skill, Parrying Slash.
* {{Prequel}}: His Gala story takes place after Chapter 10.
* PromotedToPlayable: After more than one and a half years as an NPC, he became available as a Gala Adventurer in the May 2020 Gala Dragalia.

[[AC:Civilian]]
* DamageOverTime: His unique Force Strike let's him inflict bleeding on the second hit.
* InASingleBound: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #388. Since he doesn't have his usual armor on, when he goes to put on tea for Chelle and Cecile, he jumps like he's [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario]], much to Chelle's surprise.
* TheParalyzer: He can inflict paralysis with his first skill "Gallant Sparrow".
* RedIsHeroic: Wears a red suit.

The woman who fought the first war against Morsayati, leading to the rise of the Ilian Church in her name.
\
She suits up for Dragonyule to remember Meene.
----
[[AC:Regular]]
* TheAce: Her intelligence lead her to be credited as one of if not the most talented in the fields of alchemy, engineering and science, is an exceptional mage that became an Auspex, is a very capable and potent combatant as a playable Adventurer, and has talent in more mundane subjects too like cooking or snowboarding.
* TheArchmage: Before becoming the [[GodJob Auspex]], Ilia was regarded as a very powerful mage and "the greatest of humans." It's not as frequently acknowledged by her compared to her alchemy or engineering skills, but she's still more than aware of her talent in the field.
-->'''Ilia:''' I might not look it, but I'm confident in my caster skills—plus I love tinkering with 'em!
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #296 as her cup-on-string phone is somehow able to communicate with present-day Luca through the ground!
* AGodAmI: Nonvillainous example. Ilia really likes to rub in the fact that she is "the goddess" with many of her Adventurer quotes mentioning it along with her smug response when [[spoiler: Emile asks who she thinks she is]].
-->'''Ilia:''' They don't call me the goddess for nothing. Though that really hasn't sunk in yet.
* AlchemyIsMagic: ''Forgotten Truths'' reveals that Ilia was in fact a very skilled alchemist.
* BadassBookworm: Ilia is first and foremost an incredible inventor of various sorts, and she puts that to use as one of the most powerful non-Gala (or ''limited'' for that matter) Adventurers that fires off numerous strong rounds from a [[{{BFG}} huge Manacaster]] like it's nobody's business.
* TheBeastmaster: The first person to form a dragon pact in all of Grastaea's history. [[spoiler:Turns out Elysium basically forced her to make a pact with him to prevent a great calamity, but that ended up happening ''anyway'' because it resulted in the creation of Morsayati.]]
* {{BFG}}: Ilia wields a massive Manacaster in battle. You can unlock it as a Weapon Skin from ''Enter the Kaleidoscape'' where it is named "Magnum Opus."
* BreakingOldTrends: She is the first non-Gala adventurer to have dual resistances that can go 100% in one ability.
* TheCameo:
** Appears in Gala Leonidas's story along with Mordecai.
* TheChosenMany: Chapter 23 reveals that Ilia [[spoiler:is a bearer of a Primal Mark, otherwise known as an Auspex, who possesses some of the Progenitor's power. Elysium wanted to make a pact with Ilia so he could gain control of her Primal Mark]].
* CriticalHitClass: Ilia is a critical hit ''monster'' in battle, with her third passive granting her a significant 30% critical rate boost whenever she consumes one of her alchemic cartridges. Under ideal conditions, she enjoys up to a 90% critical rate (and that's not even counting additional critical rate boosts from other allies!), which combined with her MoreDakka attack combos, can rack up the damage very quickly.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: Ilia was a human mage (actually an alchemist, scientist and engineer) who became deified over the years after forming a pact with Elysium and sealing away Morsayati.
* DimensionalTraveler: She can do this as well as travel through time this way.
* FeminineWomenCanCook: Well, she's not ''that'' feminine (but not overtly boyish either) and she actually hasn't dabbled in it yet, but she has confidence in herself that she can be a SupremeChef, making this a downplayed case.
-->'''Ilia:''' Alchemy and cooking seem similar, so I'm sure I'll be good at cooking!
** She seems to have followed it up for Dragonyule in regards to baking cookies, though she also laments she's simply [[GrandmasRecipe unable to recreate how perfectly Meene brewed herbal tea.]]
* GadgeteerGenius: The pinnacle of this in the story. For instance, the most mundane thing she's known to have made was the invention of the snowboard in modern day, [[MundaneMadeAwesome which had all sorts of additional features on top of being a rocket board that had combat utility.]]
* GameplayAndStorySegregation:
** Despite having a Pact Dragon in the form of Elysium, she isn't able to assume her Pact Dragon's form and utilize her dragon's powers, discounting you having summoned both her and Gala Elysium.
** She has her own unique Manacaster in her art and her victory animation, but isn't her unique and locked Weapon Skin like other Adventurers such as Humanoid Mercury's dagger, and wouldn't even be available as such until it was added as a reward in ''Enter the Kaleidoscape.''
* GatheringSteam: Ilia's basic attacks and force strikes charge up her alchemic cartridges, which are then activated by her second skill, Alchemic Enhancement, letting her consume one cartridge to power up her two skills, or consume all of them in a powered up force strike. The cartridges also charge up much faster when her combo count reaches 30 and above, and with the rapid fire nature of her attacks, reaching up to 3 charges is considerably easier than it sounds.
* GodJob: The first to take up the job in question. [[spoiler:She started up the religion to encourage humanity to take responsibility for the health of the world and live in harmony with dragon-kind.]]
** [[spoiler:Subverted. As it turns out, after she disappeared to another world with Mordecai, her adopted mother Meene took up her identity and was acting as the "goddess" in her place.]]
* GodNeverSaidThat: In-Universe, and very literally at that. Given that [[spoiler:it was Meene who acted out the part of "the Goddess Ilia" for history to remember her by, and Ilia was not present for any of it]], it's hard to blame her when she hasn't a clue what people are talking about regarding such a topic.
-->'''Ilia:''' I have ZERO memory of saying most of the things that Zethia claims the Goddess Ilia said.
* GondorCallsForAid: Has Augus's men [[spoiler:following his death by Morsayati]] make a choice between running away or aiding her to fight [[spoiler:the Other]] to protect the people they love. [[EnemyMine They unite under the second option.]]
* GrinOfAudacity: Likely as an extension of [[PluckyGirl her personality,]] she smiles a lot, which she lampshades positively when responding to another Adventurer at the start of a Quest.
-->'''Ilia:''' I've got my winning Goddess smile all ready to go!
* TheGunslinger: One of the very first Manacaster Adventurers in the game, and the only one to use two different types between default and another summonable version, or two at all for that matter. She was likely the first in history too, given her technique and her being seen with the one she uses nowadays a thousand years ago in ''Forgotten Truths''.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:In the ending of ''Forgotten Truths'', she willingly enters the Otherworld portal meant to seal Morsayati away alongside Mordecai, realizing that as long as she continues to exist in the world, she will bring great danger. Poor Meene does ''NOT'' take this well at all. However, the very last scene of the ending heavily implies that this doesn't stick, and that she and Mordecai are possibly ''still alive'' in the current time.]]
** Gala Leonidas's story reveals [[spoiler:they did end up in the present day and after Chapter 16.]]
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Despite her usual confident attitude, she can occasionally let this through.
** While proud of her talents, she doesn't think of herself highly, unfitting of the title of Goddess.
** Over Dragonyule in particular, which is her [[CelebrationMiscalculation alleged birthday]], she laments how she sees herself as nothing but a selfish brat for all that Meene did for her.
* HotGoddess: The Goddess is a very pretty woman, [[DownplayedTrope even if she was only ever deified in history rather than being inherently divine.]]
* HowWeGotHere: [[spoiler:Chapter 2 of Gala Leonidas's story reveals she and Mordecai appeared in his castle after Chapter 13 with him still injured after his battle against Euden and then against Phares.]]
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: [[spoiler:After the seven days of being "seemingly dead", Ilia immediately went to Mordecai to show that she's still alive and to calm him down from his berserk state. It works, but the rage and hate that manifested was so strong it became it's entire own entity: Morsayati.]]
* IMissMom: Many hundred years later in history, and Ilia greatly misses Meene.
** It's a bigger point for her Dragonyule self. While the holiday is associated as her birthday ala Christmas and Jesus, it isn't actually hers, but that belief, the snow, and the series of events in ''One Starry Dragonyule'' reminds her of Meene's love a thousand years later in history, which upsets her enough that Mordecai has to cheer her up.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Lived with two people max for most of her life and calls herself a loner. Helps that she's one of the only people remaining from her time and otherwise kept to her workshop if she wasn't on the run.
* MessianicArchetype: Is viewed as this by her worshipers for beating back the demons and creating the pacts between dragons and humans that are vital to society. [[StopWorshippingMe She's not really sure about it herself.]]
* MoreDakka: Ilia's attacks rack up the combo count ''very'' quickly, which makes wyrmprints with Flurry Strength/Devastation incredibly effective on her. Even her dodge roll fires off a rapid array of shots, making it easier to maintain her combo count.
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: ''Supposedly'', according to possibly apocryphal church materials which claim her to the mother of ''Morsayati himself'', and therefore also associated with the Fiends. Elisanne doesn't consider this to be proper canon, and [[spoiler:Morsayati himself]] hasn't commented on the matter either. But if it ''is'' true, it would make Morsayati her AntagonisticOffspring. The truth is finally revealed in ''Forgotten Truths'': [[spoiler:No, she is not, unless one believes it to be MetaphoricallyTrue. Morsayati was in fact the hatred of Mordecai, who went ''berserk'' after Ilia's apparent death due to Elysium making a pact with her, and Mordecai wasn't ''created'' by Ilia, only his physical body was, and even ''that'' isn't being used by the demon, as it took form separately after Mordecai regained his senses from seeing Ilia alive and well. Ultimately, the truth is that any parentage she has of the demon is metaphorical at best.]]
** If nothing else, [[spoiler:Chronos Nyx's Dragon Story has Morsayati's future self indirectly call her mother when thinking back on what made him lash out at the world.]]
* NiceGirl: It's never directly brought attention to, but a prominent part of Ilia's character is that she is without question one of the most sweet people in the cast.
** It bears repeating: [[spoiler:Elysium rendered her comatose, set off Morsayati and forcefully made her his pactbearer, among the laundry list of crimes he's carried out even when limited to the times both of them were present. Yet she still is willing to work for him under the pretense of him making good on his word to protect the world she fought for. Many years later, she declares she will honor his wish to protect the world in his final moments, and promises post-mortem they'll meet again.]] ''That'' is just some of the extent of Ilia's genuine kindness.
** She's not even mad when Augus's soldiers plan on fleeing when [[spoiler:Morsayati manifests]], instead inspiring them to fight for the people they love.
* TheNightOwl: Downplayed, but she says she focuses better when working at night.
* PluckyGirl: Just as much as she is a very capable, gun-toting alchemist who became revered as a goddess is she equally kind, optimistic and brave, and she virtually never wavers on those fronts.
* {{Prequel}}: Her Adventure Story is this to the ''Forgotten Truths'' event. It explains her motivation and how she got the Omega Key.
* PromotedToPlayable: From the very beginning of the game, she had been established as the goddess and watcher of Grastaea, but it wasn't until ''Forgotten Truths'' that she gets fully introduced and made playable.
* ReunionVow: Declares a simple one towards [[spoiler:Elysium, [[DyingAsYourself after his final defeat in Chapter 24.]]]]
-->'''Ilia:''' I'll see you again someday, [[spoiler:Elysium]]. I promise.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: [[spoiler:She is shown to be a chess player facing her opponent Prince Leonidas, the first of Aurelius's heirs, with Mordecai looking on.]]
* SpiritedYoungLady: Fits all the criteria, being a fairly boyish but still feminine young woman, her high intelligence being put to use in alchemy and engineering and with a very outgoing and bold mind.
* StepfordSmiler: A downplayed case, as while she genuinely is a cheery and confident fellow, she doesn't see herself as a person as anything special and is still hung up over Meene's situation a thousand years ago.
* StopWorshippingMe: Zigzagged. [[AGodAmI Despite being content to flaunt the status of Goddess every so often,]] Ilia doesn't see herself actually fitting the bill, being something of a loner and not as amazing with people as her plucky attitude suggests, so the idea of her being worshipped for the foreseeable future doesn't sit well with her.
-->'''Ilia:''' I can't BELIEVE I'm going to be talked about a thousand years from now! So embarrassing!
* SympathyForTheDevil:
** Following Augus [[spoiler:being killed by Morsayati]], she acknowledges that his men, like any other soldier, have people they love and want to fight for. [[GondorCallsForAid This is how she rouses them to remain and fight on her side.]]
** [[spoiler:In particular, she extends this to ''both'' Morsayati and Elysium. For as much as they were at odds with her in particular and though she fights back, she still shows almost nothing but sympathy for them. After all, she's the one who personally saw and indirectly caused the circumstances of Morsayati's creation, and had plenty of opportunities to understand Elysium's history.]]
-->'''Ilia:''' We have to stop him. For the world, and for [[spoiler:Morsayati himself]]. Let's show him our love. Our love will never be defeated by a being of pure hate—and if [[spoiler:Elysium]] thinks things will go just like HE'S planning, he's got a big surprise waiting for him! WE are the ones who will protect this world—and its future!\
'''Ilia:''' You promised me long ago that you would protect this world, [[spoiler:Elysium]]. And yeah, maybe you went about it in a way we couldn't accept, but you were willing to sacrifice your entire self just to keep that promise. So now it's my turn to carry on your wish and protect this world [[spoiler:as your pactbearer]]!
* WalkingSpoiler: That the Goddess is even summonable at all as an Adventurer that explicitly shows her as being much more [[{{BFG}} technological in nature]] or that she's listed with the main cast now is an immediate tell of how deep the rabbit hole goes regarding the actual story around Ilia.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Needless to say, the real Ilia looks ''nothing'' like how history remembers her in the current era. [[spoiler:This is because her adoptive mother Meene took up the mantle of posing as the goddess when the Ilian Church was established.]]

[[AC:Dragonyule]]
->''"I'm the star of Dragonyule!"''

* CelebrationMiscalculation: Ilia states that Dragonyule is not her birthday when Mordecai brings it up, pointing out that it's just a thing that has been spread around and treated as fact.
-->'''Ilia:''' Dunno who made up the whole Dragonyule story, but if I'm fine with it if it makes folks happy.
* CleavageWindow: She has a triangular one for her outfit.
* CoolBoard: During ''One Starry Dragonyule'', to find certain mana sources that she believes has Elise's son Alfie, she created a mana detector and navigation system mounted on low friction planar frame which she calls a snowboard. Hilariously enough, she's both proud but also a bit miffed that Mordecai is even better at snowboarding than she is.
* ExposedToTheElements: Inverted. While standing around in a Quest, Ilia will sometimes complain about how hot her outfit ([[CleavageWindow generally]] modest winter clothes which include a heavy black coat) is.
* FriendToAllChildren: Despite not actually being a proper parent, Ilia does have a noticeable maternal side given her mother and son-like relationship with Mordecai, but it's really made apparent during Dragonyule. She wants to preserve the hope and dreams children have in the existence in Saint Starfall, getting really in-character as she does so. Her Adventurer Story has her set out to rescue a bunch of children from bandits, then trying to rouse their heartbroken spirits (which she succeeds in), and along the way makes sure to quietly look out for Nino. All three of them even manage to drop off presents for all the kids. [[spoiler:She also keeps to a promise to Elise during ''One Starry Dragonyule'' to protect her son all the way through.]]
-->'''Ilia:''' There IS a Saint Starfall, and he's gonna KEEP bringing presents to all the good children like he always has!\
'''Boy:''' Liar! You're a big, fat, smelly liar!\
'''Ilia:''' Okay, that seems unnecessary. Also, how about you wait until tomorrow morning before calling me a liar?\
'''Girl:''' ...But why?\
'''Ilia:''' Remember how the lady at the Church said Saint Starfall sees when you're good? All of you are good kids who didn't let the bad men scare you at all. Saint Starfall will remember that.
* MundaneUtility: A mana detector and navigation system.. built in the form of a snowboard. [[MundaneMadeAwesome And it works with great success and then some,]] capable of ''very'' large damage in a huge radius off of in-game use alone. She makes an offhand comment she had other tools for everyday use too.
-->'''Ilia:''' I used to have to alchemize plenty of gadgets for dealing with snow. It's no joke!
* NoSocialSkills: Downplayed quite heavily. Likely as an extension of her living quite a solitary life, she's not great at reading people, so she hopes the presents she gets them happen to be things that make them happy. Otherwise, she's actually not bad at all when she does interact with other folk, [[FriendToAllChildren especially children.]]
* OutOfCharacterAlert: The story of Saint Starfall made her and Mordecai raise eyebrows when hearing that Saint Starfall took after [[HistoricalHeroUpgrade an incarnation of Elysium whom left the Goddess a gift under a tree for her on her birthday.]] Given the latter never happened in history, Ilia gets motivated to play out the role of Saint Starfall herself after Mordecai starts doubting the existence of such a figure.
* SandInMyEyes: Says as much regarding a gift Mordecai got her.
-->'''Ilia:''' Mordecai gave me a scarf he picked out himself! Aw man, *sniffles* someone's cutting onions in here!
* SubbingForSanta: Set on proving Saint Starfall's existence and acts on his behalf as he was said to. She says it straight when her Mana Circles are fully tapped out.
-->'''Ilia:''' I'll become Saint Starfall myself if that's what it takes to protect children's dreams!
** Hilariously enough, she didn't even remember who Saint Starfall was until Mordecai asked her if he'll visit him, as she only skimmed a bit of research on the subject.
* SueDonym: During ''One Starry Dragonyule'', to cover-up Mordecai calling her by her real name, she names herself as "Alia." The person she tries to fool would soon put 2 and 2 together on her true identity.
* SweetBaker: A follow-up to her default version believing that she would make for a good cook, she makes an idle comment to herself about making cookies.

The Auspex of the Northern Ilian Church. Having had her soul bound to Satan, she has managed to break free with the help of the Halidom party to serve as the fifth auspex against the Progenitor.
\
Tropes for her time as an antagonist can be found under [[Characters/DragaliaLostAntagonistsCampaign Campaign Antagonists]].
----
* AntiDebuff: After entering her Seal Released state, Origa's "The Demon Within" ability activates, granting her 100% immunity to every status ailment.
* TheAtoner: To say she regrets her many prior crimes is underselling it, being the primary motivator for why she's aiding the Halidom.
* BackFromTheDead: In a sense. She had her soul separated from her body in "Faith Forsaken". "Advent of the Origin" has her coming back to life.
* BirdsOfAFeather: The Wyrmprint "Getting Acquainted" shows her getting adjusted to life in the Halidom, slowly but eventually becoming good friends with Zethia, being of similar age, positions as Auspexes, and their mutual gradual integration into the Halidom after spending the last long while bound to Morsayati and Satan.
-->''When Origa thanked Zethia for spending time with her, the other Auspex demurred. "I should be thanking you; in truth, you are the first girl of my age with whom I have ever been able to spend a casual day."''
* ButterflyOfDeathAndRebirth: She retains her butterfly theme, and was made playable after essentially being revived from her spiritual limbo state.
* CostumeEvolution: A pretty downplayed example, but a few details of her design changed from when she first as an NPC, namely her head accessories and around her chest.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: As the Auspex of the Northern Ilian Church, the stepsister of the Water Adventurer Regina, and having managed to overpower Satan's will over her, it's only fitting she essentially plays like a souped up Water Apostle with a demon-flavored dragondrive and the addition of Regina's own usage of various status effects.
* GatheringSteam: Like the Apostles, she starts with her full potential locked for five minutes, in this case a dragondrive. However, she can instantly rectify it by using her "Banish Evil" skill, immediately putting her - and other Adventurers with Locked Sigils - into a permanent Seal Released state, which combined with her dragondrive mode powers her up to a ridiculous degree.
* GroundhogDayLoop: In her adventurer story, she finds herself in a world which has her reliving the same day where she is still the leader of Grams and forms an alliance with Alberia, Basileus remains a loyal member of the apostles with Graht arrested, and her Satan plot never happened. Each time, the day ends with her being apprehended by guard and killed, just for the day to start over. No matter how many times she tries to prevent her death, she finds herself dying some other way and having to start the day over. She eventually realizes these loops to be masterminded in an attempt to break her will and opts to let them continue until the mastermind leaves an opening.
* GuestStarPartyMember: She is the welfare unit for Advent of the Origin and needs her friendship meter filled up to become permenant.
* MeaningfulName: In ''{{Literature/The Divine Comedy}}'', the river Cocytus is the ninth and lowest circle of Hell, a frozen lake reserved for traitors and frauds which is where Satan dwells in, half-frozen, all of which parallels the events leading up to her initial FateWorseThanDeath.
** This in turn is actually a {{Call Back}}: During his boss fight Satan uses a move made of four unavoidable, circular blasts that get stronger with each variation. These are named after the four descending "rounds" Cocytus is divided into, worse for each act of treachery: Caina, Antenora, Ptolomea, and Judecca.
* PromotedToPlayable: After having her soul sealed away to stop Satan, she is brought back to be the fifth playable auspex.
* PurposelyOverpowered: As the final welfare unit (much less the final Water unit) for the very last event, set on the nearly-finished game's 3.5th anniversary of extreme scale and story relevance, ''on top'' of her role and importance in the story, Origa's ridiculous power for her cheapness and availability is pretty justified.
* ScaryTeeth: It's easy to miss, but she curiously has sharp teeth. Though she's always had them, her [[WhenSheSmiles genuine moments of happiness]] such as her bonding with Zethia in the art of "Getting Acquainted" definitely veer away from FangsAreEvil and into CuteLittleFangs.
* StatusEffectPoweredAbility: Her "Afflicted Punisher" passive ability, shared with Regina, is the single best Punisher ability in the game, dealing 25% more damage to enemies that are afflicted with ''any'' status rather than a specific one, which only gets stronger with for every other status effect also applied to them.
* StatusInflictionAttack: Her first skill "Cocytus Whirl" inflicts Frostbtie on whoever it hits. However, while Origa is in her dragondrive mode, it can inflict Frostbite, Bog and Freeze, which scales very well with her "Afflicted Punisher" ability.
* SupportPartyMember: She's not centered around it but her kit comes with surprising utility.
** Her co-abilities include damage reduction against Flame enemies for Water allies, and more prominently the coveted 20% standard attack damage buff in place of the usual skill attack damage co-ability Wand Adventurers usually have, which only Gala Laxi and Tiki share while being vastly harder to acquire than Origa.
** "Banish Evil" not only removes her Demon Seal debuff, but also ''other'' Locked Sigil debuffs that the Apostles start off with, allowing for very quick access to their powers given how quick Origa can fill the skill up.

[[folder:In General]]
* AllYourPowersCombined: In a sense, the Primal versions of the greatworms can call upon memories of previous battles and characters to use in their battles.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Euden is required to defeat them in order to prove that he is worthy of their loyalty and power.
* ElementalDragon: There are five different types of elements with dragons that have power over each one. Among those dragons include the greatwyrms who are each the master of their respective element. The story later reveals that The Greatwyrms are in fact the ElementalEmbodiment of the five elements, created directly by the [[TopGod draconic creator of the world, Bahamut]], and when given back all of their memories, regain their full power and complete mastery of their element.
* ElementalEmbodiment: According to the Kaleidoscape Memories, they were the first dragons and directly created by Bahamut as personifications of their respective elements. Interestingly, Chthonius is not named as one of the original Greatwryms, but ''Elysium'' is.
* FunSize: Starting with the first year anniversary, each of the Greatwyrms get a chibi version of themselves every half a year.
* InfinityMinusOneSword: Upon defeat of the Expert or Master High dragon trials you gain the ability to make powerful weapons from the High Greatwyrms horns and tails. They boast might beaten only by the 6 star Agito weapons and Primal Dragon weapons.
* InfinityPlusOneSword: The Primal Dragon weapons have slightly better stats than the Agito weapons; the same number of slots as them; abilities that are not affected by Curse of Nihilty; and a skill that deals damage, grants a strength buff, and a special buff that isn't affected by Curse of Nihilty.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACX8K2zj8Ww Crasher]], which plays during their boss battles.

* OutOfFocus: After their respective debut chapters, they haven't really appeared in the main campaign at all, with the exception of Brunhilda/Mym, though this has changed in chapter 23 with the reveal of the Primal Greatwryms and [[spoiler:how they are neccessary to defeat the Progenitor]].
* RedEyesTakeWarning: During "Chaos Protocol", the Greatwyrms (sans Chthonius) get BrainwashedAndCrazy and have glowing red eyes.
* SequentialBoss: In the Expert and Master Primal Dragon Trials, the Greatwyrms start in their humanoid form and will transform into their primordial forms when their HP is fully depleted.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: The Greatwyrms can transform into humanoid forms, though [[LittleBitBeastly they still maintain some draconic features.]]
* StarterMon: New players will likely be using the Greatwyrms (either in their base or mini forms) in their team compositions before they get stronger dragons from events, treasure trades, or summons.
* StatusBuffDispel: They gain the ability to inflict Curse of Nihilty in the Primal Dragon Trials, which removes and prevents most buffs.
* StrengthEqualsWorthiness: Their Dragon Trials essentially equate to a battle that tests if the tested ones are worthy of wielding their power, which includes when [[spoiler: the Auspexes are testing their new powers when the Greatwyrms are in their primordial forms.]]
* SuddenlySpeaking: The Mini Greatwyrms initially made animalistic noises, but an update later replaced them with voiced dialogue.
* {{Superboss}}:
** The High Greatwyrm fights are this, requiring not only plenty of coordination but a team with high level and fully unbound weapons, dragons, wyrmprints, and be able to counter their elements as well as NoSell their debuffs. Version 1.12 adds in [[HarderThanHard Expert and Master]] versions of the High Dragon trials, with Expert versions dropping parts needed to make upgraded void weapons against their opposite.
** The Primal Dragon Trials feature battles against the Greatwyrms in their primordial forms, possessing more power than ever before. Defeating them unlocks materials that are needed to craft the Primal Dragon weapons.
* UnblockableAttack: Each Advanced Dragon battle starts with a map encompassing blast that reduces the party's health to critical levels or outright kill someone if they're not prepared. At least, until they were {{Nerf}}ed.
* UndyingLoyalty: Towards their former master Alberius, and later on his descendant Euden.

A version of him from a past life appears during the Forgotten Truths event.

* AllYourPowersCombined: In his Primal fight, he can summon manifestations of Tobias, Kimono Luca, Valentines Melody, Gale Leif, and Halloween Melsa to fight for him. He is also shown to be using attacks from Victor and Zephyr.
* BossBanter: He does this in his High Midgardsormr fight as cues to his attacks.
* BlowYouAway: Is of the Wind element, and is the most powerful Wind dragon. He also does this occasionally to Amane in her adventurer story. His Zero incarnation takes this a step further, looking less like a flesh and blood dragon but more of a dragon shaped elemental.
%%* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Alberius.
* FunSize: The first-anniversary event gave out Mini Mids, a chibified version of Midgardsormr.
* HumansAreSpecial: His current self adopted this mindset after meeting and befriending Alberius, enjoying how their mortality allows them to leave a different kind of impact in the world compared to dragons.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: After the player overcomes his master-level trial, he reveals his true power and challenges the player as High Midgardsormr. If the player can defeat him even at his full power, the player will earn the ability to shapeshift into High Midgardsormr.
* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: Is named for The World Serpent.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: [[spoiler: When Euden recreates the worlds and histories that Xenos destroyed, Midgardsormr is the sole person to remember Euden in the recreated world, due to being with Euden when he finished off Xenos due to still being connected by the pact.]]
* SpinAttack: He uses this as part of his attacks, especially in his High Midgardsormr battle.
* {{Transplant}}: He originally started as a character for ''Knights of Glory''. He was slightly redesigned and repurposed for this game.
* {{Troll}}: In Amane's adventurer story. When she asks about his weaknesses to try and eradicate all dragonkind, he tells her his weakness is to essentially pamper him, such as by fetching him food or shining his scales.
* WeatherManipulation: Has the capability to generate storms.

[[AC:Midgardsormr Zero]]
* ChoosingNeutrality: Though he originally worked alongside his draconian brethren during the Old war against Humans and Dragons he joined a neutral side wishing to see the two work together.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: With Midgardsormr Zero’s dragon skill ''Primal Tempest'', reduces the wind resistance of any enemies hit by 5-10% ''for the rest of the fight''.
* HonoraryUncle: His self 1000 years ago is considered this to Ilia.
* OlderIsBetter: In comparison to all other versions, Midgardsormr Zero is bar none the most powerful and the oldest version of the Windwyrm.
* {{Reincarnation}}: From Midgardsormr Zero’s story, the souls of the greatest of dragons eventually reincarnate, but thanks to Elysium he was one of the only dragons to have anything from his past life. [[spoiler:The wish to see man and dragon walking together, hand in hand.]]
* StrongAndSkilled: Midgardsormr Zero boasts both an impressive 20-35% Strength and HP boost but also has the (Wind) Flurry Skill 50-70% ability as well.
* SuddenNameChange: He's called Primal Midgardsormr in the Primal Dragon Trials.
* {{Unperson}}: Midgardsormr Zero was there building the religion of Ilia and the Holywyrm from the shadows, eventually being forgotten by history. Ilia would later rediscover his existence in the roots of the Sacred Tree and helped Midgardsormr regain this form.

* BadassLongcoat: While it serves as his clothes in human form, it's just as symbolic of his dragon wings.
* BlowYouAway: Besides being the Windwyrm in human form, his S2, Catastrophic Blast, puts out four mini-tornadoes and inflicts Stormlash.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He originally had this in ''Dragalia Mini'' #104 as a concept Mini Jupiter had.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Being the Windwyrm in a human form, he functions like Mym in that he will shapeshift into his original form regardless of the dragon equipped.
* GuestStarPartyMember: He serves as the temporary party member for the Dawn of Dragalia event, becoming permanent once friendship has been maxed out.
* HornedHumanoid: He has his dragon horns sticking out of his head.
* NumberTwo: During the Second War of Binding, he becomes Alberius's second in-command in Alberius's Chapter 3 when he goes to the Faerie Kingdom.
* {{Prequel}}: His Adventure Story is how he came to start traveling with Alberius, and ending with testing to see if his descendant, Prince Euden, is worthy of his power.
* UnwantedAssistance: His adventure story shows he considered Alberius this during their first adventures together.
* WhatTheHellHero: He gives this in Alberius's Chapter 3 when he plans to fight the Other by himself to the point he challenges him to a fight to see if he's worthy of fighting him.
* WalkingTheEarth: He took on a human form while traveling with Alberius to see the human world to know what was worth defending. Chapter 1 of his story shows it was also to investigate the otherworld rifts.

One of the Six Greatwyrms, the Waterwyrm. She was originally pactbound to Emile, but after realizing the truth, cancels the pact to make one with Euden.
----
!!As the Waterwyrm Mercury
* AllYourPowersCombined: In her primal battle, she can summon manifestations of Catherine, Origa, Pipple, Valerio, Mitsuba, and Summer Ieyasu to battle for her. She is also shown to have attacks from Summer Celliera, Yurius, the crab boss, and Ciella.
* AssistCharacter: She is one of the allies Emile summons during Emile's Trial in "Operation: At Your Service".
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Can cause the Bog status, but as a playable dragon can only do so when in her High Dragon form.
* DamageSpongeBoss: As a High Greatwyrm boss, she has way more HP than the others, and her attacks don't quite pack as much punch. The challenge is less about avoiding numerous one-hit KO attacks and more about actually defeating her before time's up.
* FunSize: She is the one to be chibified for the 2.5 year anniversary.
* GamerChick: At the end of the dragon story for Mini Mercs, what does she do once everybody else is asleep? Video games!
* HeelFaceTurn: She starts out as Emile's dragon until he makes it clear he only sees her as just a tool and not as a partner, and doesn't care about protecting the ocean. She switches sides to the Prince once she realizes what a scumbag he is.
* JerkassToOne: Mercury is usually kindhearted, but she shows nothing but contempt for Emile since he lied to her and abused her. When Gala Emile uses his dragondrive to summon Mercury, she proceeds to attack Emile (and the enemies) with a massive wave. Doesn't stop her from helping him out in Emile's Trial (Operation: At Your Service), but she does hurt him hard.
* MakingASplash: Has the ability to command the oceans and seas, and is the most powerful Water dragon of them all.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Inverted. She forged a pact with Emile, a RoyalBrat, because he promised to use his riches to protect her ocean. Once he makes clear he never intended to keep that promise, she breaks the pact.
* OutOfFocus: While the other Greatwyrms each have ADayInTheLimelight after Chapter 6, Mercury only makes a brief appearance in Chapter 7 before disappearing from the plot.
* ThePromise: Made one long ago with the prince in-charge of Saint Lotier. He would turn into a fish to protect the ocean if she would protect his people. The prince drank a potion and permanently turned into a fish and Mercury obliged by turning her fins to legs.
* StellarName: She is named for the planet Mercury, which in Chinese astrology represents water.
* StoneWall: Compared to the other High Greatwyrms, High Mercury's opening attack is fairly weak, to the point where melee adventurers can survive it without her associated wyrmprint. On the other hand, High Mercury has about ''twice'' the HP of High Brunhilda, meaning you'll need to dole out a lot of damage to beat her before time runs out.

To infiltrate Emile's school, the Waterwyrm dons a human form to serve as a teacher.
----
* AscendedExtra: Humanoid Mercury first appeared in one of the non-canon ''Dragalia Minis'' comics from the Japanese ''Dragalia Life'' Twitter account ([[https://twitter.com/dragalialost/status/1284971295319289856 original link]], [[https://www.reddit.com/r/DragaliaLost/comments/hud5f9/translated_dragalia_minis_70_jupiters_delusion/ fan translation]]), and even then it was only as how Jupiter pictured her then-theoretical human form. She was made an official character nine months later.
* CriticalHitClass: She brings up to 10% Critical Rate for the team she's on.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Like her fellow Greatwyrms, she only transforms into her dragon form regardless of what dragon she's equipped with, though the second time she transforms, she turns into High Mercury.
* KarmicJackpot: [[spoiler:She found a poisoned and injured Emile one day and decided, purely out of the kindness of her heart, to help him recover and was willing to try to be patient with him. As a result of this single act of kindness, Emile is able to later save Euden and company from total anhiliation from Xenos, which results in the ultimate defeat of Xenos.]]
* MakingASplash: Being the Waterwyrm, it's a given. Her s2, Aquatic Ruin, shoots out 6 bubbles and grants a strength amp. Once someone has shapeshifted, it gets increased to 9 bubbles.
* MamaBear: When Emile shows any signs of being disrespectful to the children, Mercury is quick to shoot a DeathGlare at him which causes him to back down.
* HotTeacher: Emile certainly thought so, until it hit him (quite late at that) who the lady he's crushing on is.
* HumanDisguise: While everybody is still aware that she is a dragon, the reason behind Mercury taking on a human form is to secretly investigate Emile's school with Ranzal and Louise.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: She discovers embroidery in her adventure story and is quite skilled in her human body.

One of the Six Greatwyrms, the Flamewyrm. She first forms a pact with Euden to save her life, but is so taken in by his kindness that she eventually falls in love with him. Has the ability to shift into a human form, where she goes by "Mym".\

A chibi version of her was given out to players logging in during the 2nd Anniversary Celebration.
----
!!As the Flamewyrm Brunhilda

* AffectionateNickname: After forming a pact with the Prince, Mym frequently calls him "darling".
* AllJustADream: The last portion of the "The Bridal Dragon" wyrmprint story shows that her wedding to Euden was a dream she was having.
* AllYourPowersCombined: In her Primal battle, she can summon manifestations of Yuya, Child Ranzal, Gala Leonidas, and Armored Yachiyo to fight in battle. She is also shown to borrow attacks and abilities from Surtr and Student Maribelle.
* BigWhat: She has this reaction to learning Tiki is [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld one thousand years old]].
-->Mym: "A THOUSAND?! That means this child is older than me!"
* BookDumb: As demonstrated in the "Hitting the Books" wymprint, Brunhilda is not exactly what one would call literate.
-->"Okay, Brunhilda. You can do this. I mean, you're an eternal DRAGON—-how hard can it be to read some stupid human books? Now just calm down and look at... Um... Aaargh! I don't understand ANY of this!"
* BreakoutCharacter: Despite being encountered a bit later on in the main story, Brunhilda receives the most focus out of all the Greatwyrms, with multiple Adventurer forms and countless interactions with other characters. The only other dragons that have this kind of exposure are Midgardsormr (the mascot dragon of the game) and Zodiark (the most plot-relevant dragon). She even had the honor of being the game's final new dragon addition with her Primal form.
* ClingyJealousGirl: When Brunhilda realizes the Prince had already made pacts with other dragons, she bemuses the fact that she can't have him all to herself. She still pursues him romantically anyway despite the "dragon harem" he has as she calls it.
* ElementalAbsorption: She can absorb fire to increase her power. [[spoiler:This comes in handy when fighting the fire dragon Mars, as the sheer amount of fire he produces allows her to briefly access her High Greatwyrm form and still have enough power left over to create a Fire Dracolith.]]
* FairytaleWeddingDress: She wears this in the "The Bridal Dragon" wyrmprint.
* FunSize: She continues the Semi-Anniversary tradition of the Greatwyrms getting chibi versions.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: In "Fire Emblem: Kindred Ties," she does this not by smacking sense into Tiki, but by tanking her blast as Mym and turning into Brunhilda to show she's a dragon just like her.
* HatesReading: The "Hitting The Books" wyrmprint shows Mym to be such a case. When she makes an attempt to read human books, she becomes so frustrated over being unable to understand anything in them that she starts burning the library, prompting Euden and Notte to step in.
-->'''Mym:''' Worry not, my darling; I don't need books to keep supporting you.\
'''Euden:''' That's great -- just please stop the fire!\
'''Notte:''' [[LampshadeHanging Mym's not too big on reading, huh?]]
* HotConsort: Or at least she likes to ''think'' she's one. All attempts to get him into bed with her have so far proven unsuccessful (unless you count the [[https://comic.dragalialost.com/dragalialife/en/#detail/607 baby dragon cuddle party]]).
* KillItWithFire: Her breath attacks can cause the Burn affliction.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Her earliest memory was a friendship with a red-winged butterfly.
* InterspeciesRomance: Since she sees a pact to be akin to marriage, she wants this to be true ''so badly''. However, while the Prince kind of picks up on it, [[ObliviousToLove he doesn't seem to really notice how deep it goes]].
* LittleBitBeastly: As "Mym", she keeps her horns, tail and has CuteLittleFangs, despite looking mostly human. She still considers that form as [[WereDragon human]] enough to help her [[InterspeciesRomance pursue her crush on the Prince]], however.
* MayflyDecemberRomance: Discussed in the "A Waltz with Fate" event. She's so clingy and ready to declare her love for the Prince at every opportunity because she's aware that his lifespan is very short compared to hers, and wants to spend every moment she has with him happily.
* PlayingWithFire: Has the ability to control heat and flames, and is the most powerful Flame dragon of them all.
* ThePowerOfLove: This is how she's able to transform into her High Brunhilda form.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Inverted in her High Brunhilda form. She's definitely on your side.
* RapidHairGrowth: Played for laughs and exaggerated in ''Dragalia Life'' #368 when humidity from the rain makes her hair grow to the point it covers her entire face. In fact, the comic can't even tell if it's her!
* RedOniBlueOni: She's quite the jealous red next to Prometheus's blue.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: While not ''outright'' stated, there are hints that the Prince's kindness and willingness to save her plays a part in her love for him.
* ShipperOnDeck: In "A Waltz with Fate," she can clearly tell Phantom loves Felicia and is pushing him to stay and realize his love for her.
* UniquenessDecay: Brunhilda's ability to assume human form was treated as groundbreaking when she was introduced, but over time, other dragons like Tartarus and the rest of the Greatwyrms would gain human forms too. "Dawn of Dragalia" revealed that Midgardsormr adopted a human form during the Second War of Binding, meaning Brunhilda wasn't even the first dragon who could do this. Humanoid Zodiark points this out in one his quotes.
-->'''Humanoid Zodiark:''' The Flamewyrm was unhappy to learn that taking human form was not a specialty of hers alone.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: After forming a pact with the Prince, she turns into a human-looking woman, calling herself "Mym", after one of Alberius's human companions. Apparently she's one of the few dragons around who knows how to shapeshift ''period'', and she isn't restricted to her 'Mym' form, either.
* WeaksauceWeakness: She's vulnerable to Freeze attacks in her boss fight, allowing a team of people who can freeze her have an [[CurbstompBattle easy victory]]. Averted in her High Brunhilda fights, where she is immune to it.
* WhyWontYouDie: She gives one to Myriam in Chapter 3 of her story, especially since their fight lasted well into the afternoon.

The Flamewyrm has taken the form and name of a companion of Alberius to fight side by side and be closer to the Prince.
\
On Halloween she received an outfit that lets her live out her dreams in different possibilities.
\
To enjoy Summer with Euden, she dons a swimsuit and joins the party on an underwater voyage.
----
[[AC:Gala]]
* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: Chapter 3 of her story has Euden give her a head pat after coming home from work, even though she's ticklish.
* BattleCouple: She and the regular Prince can be this if paired up in the same party.
* FailedASpotCheck: In Chapter 2 of her story, she's so caught up in her fantasy of her and Euden's honeymoon she didn't notice he was there till he left.
* GatheringSteam: Thanks to her first ability ''Flamewyrms Nature'', upon shapeshifting once she’ll gain a Permanent 15% attack boost and a 15% attack rate up while in her dragonform. Her second skill ''Flames of Passion'' also gains a damage increase of about 50%. After getting her Chain Co-Ability: ''(Flame) Dragons Claws VI'' this trope is in full effect. After shapeshifting once she’ll gain an extra 10% attack, which then increases to 20% after a second time, and then a max of 35% after her third shapeshift.
* ImagineSpot: Her Adventurer Stories feature her ridiculously over-the-top fantasies of wedded life with the Prince; such as the wedding, the honeymoon, domestic bliss, [[BreadEggsMilkSquick the affair]], and having kids.
* LethalChef: Her screen quotes have her express interest in cooking to win over the Prince ThroughHisStomach. However, Chapter 3 of her Adventurer Story has her come up with recipes that are on par with [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2 Mythra's]] level in using "creative" but questionable ingredients. To be fair, her tastes as a dragon would likely be different than that of a human's. Said meals are pickled slime and brussels sprouts slaw with a cup of hot mayonnaise on top.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Mym is unique in that she can't transform into other dragons, since she's already a dragon herself. Instead, she transforms into Brunhilda the first time, then High Brunhilda for the rest of the quest.
* PromotedToPlayable: Mym went from a supporting character to a playable Adventurer.
* TailSlap: Played for laughs in ''Dragalia Life'' #106 has her do this to show she has Euden's back by casually swatting fiends aside making Luca wonder why she even has a lance.
* ThisIsAWorkOfFiction: Before each imagination spot, it tells the viewers that everything seen is all in her mind. By Chapter 4 it gets snarkier with "This is Mym's imagination, people and places, nothing is real, [[BlahBlahBlah yadda yadda yadda]]."
* TheUnreveal: Chapter 2 of her story has her teasing her bikini under her armor but she gets interrupted by Notte selling drinks, Elisanne and Cleo flirting with Euden, then Luca and Ranzal hitting on her. Just as she's about to reveal it, the ImagineSpot ends.

[[AC:Halloween]]
->''"Your glorious Halloween star has arrived!"''
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: None of her attempts at an alternate life as a human with Euden turn out well. In their life as farmers, [[FriendToAllLivingThings Euden gets too wrapped up in defending his poor crops from invading bugs]] to spend any time with her out of the fields. In her life as Euden's human wife in a world where Aurelius did not have a FaceHeelTurn, she flounders hopelessly at court etiquette and can't deal at all with [[ObnoxiousInLaws Euden's needling siblings]]. In their life as a wandering BattleCouple with no one to depend on but each other, she finds that she no longer has the power as a human to protect him and is forced to either watch him die or pull a SenselessSacrifice and die with the knowledge that he'll just follow shortly after, having lost the will to live. Eventually, she decides that she'll just stick to being a dragon, even if it complicates her love life.
* BroughtDownToNormal: In Chapter 1 of her story, she feels what it's like to be a regular human by plowing fields with Euden. Also happens in Chapter 3 when she can't kill a fiend as fast as she normally can.
* GirlishPigtails: Wears her hair up into pigtails.
* MorphicResonance: Her Brunhilda form has the costume's colors on her scales and wings, as well as a bow on her tail.
* RealityWarper: Mym's costume allows her to live out different realities, especially if it means if she can be with Euden.
* WalkingTheEarth: Chapter 3 of her story has her do this in the next life she wishes for.

[[AC:Summer]]
->''"Vacation day GO!"''
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Once again, she makes a wish to get closer to Euden; this time by wanting him to only have eyes for her. This results in Euden getting amnesia and spending the day with her as she gradually feels more guilty. She ultimately decides to undo her wish and confess her love normally.
* CastingAShadow: While Shadow element is normally the specialty of Zodiark and Chthonius, Mym the Flamewyrm opts to being of the shadow element for this alt.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Among the three versions of Mym, this one doesn't shapeshift into Brunhilda. Instead, she utilizes Dragon Drive much like Aldred and Bellina.

'''Rarity:''' 4 [Regular], 5 [High Jupiter, Mini Jupi]\
'''Debut:''' Chapter 4 (Regular), Chapter 9 (High Jupiter), Third Year Anniversary (Mini Jupi)

One of the Six Greatwyrms, the Lightwyrm. A very mischevious dragon that always likes to test others.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: Chapter 9 has him join Euden and his friends to Chanzelia, stating that he had been meaning to stretch his wings and take in some of the light mana in the desert they traversed through to get to Chelle. [[spoiler:He later plays an important part in seeing through Chelle's charades and motives]].
* BossBanter: Out of the High Dragons, he has more of it than High Midgardsormr and High Mercury.
* BullyingADragon: In the most literal sense. The "King of the Skies" wyrmprint shows that a noble thought he could make a show of his power by bringing an army against High Jupiter to capture him. For that, Jupiter reduced him to a smear on the ground with a bolt of lightning.
* TheCorrupter:
** Jupiter made the once kind prince Dane into a power-hungry tyrant by telling him to "Conquer this land", and later tries to get [[IncorruptiblePurePureness Euden]] into committing familicide by smiting his brother Emile in exchange for his pact which is pretty cruel [[SecretTestOfCharacter even if it is supposed to be a test.]]
** Tries to tempt Euden again with the prospect of riches in ''Dragalia Life'' #80 by suggesting that Althemia would love fat stacks of rupies when the prince is trying to find the perfect return gift for her. Euden wouldn't have any of that and shuts Jupiter up by [[ForceFeeding forcing some Juicy Meat up the dragon's beak.]]
* FeatheredDragons: Jupiter is very bird-like in appearance, having talons, feathers, and a beak.
* FunSize: His Mini version is one of the six Great dragons to get the Mini treatment.
* ImmortalImmaturity: Jupiter is rather childish for a long-lived dragon and has the voice of a young boy. Mym even called him a brat because of this.
* ItAmusedMe: Jupiter's modus operandi.
* LackOfEmpathy: After being told about Dane's exploits and death, instead of showing any sympathy for all the people Dane killed or mourning over Dane himself, he ''laughs'' and wonders if Dane was happy! While most dragons are aloof from humanity, Jupiter's attitude sets him apart. [[spoiler:His High Dragon story reveals that this attitude is an [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone act.]]]]
* LightEmUp: Is of the Light element, but leaning more into the ShockAndAwe side of it. He is the most powerful Light dragon, second only to [[PhysicalGod Elysium]].
* LightIsNotGood: Jupiter isn't exactly evil, but he's easily the least benevolent of the Greatwyrms, as he takes delight in corrupting people and causing mayhem.
* MeaningfulName: He is named after [[Myth/ClassicalMythology the Roman equivalent of Zeus]]. It's not too surprising, given the Lightwyrm's [[ShockAndAwe powers]].
* MrImagination: The ''Dragalia Minis'' paint him as this, having him draw himself as a {{Bishonen}} human form like Mym, and also imagining what a human version of Mercury and Midgardsormr would look like.
* PaperThinDisguise: ''Dragalia Life'' #199 makes it look like he has a {{Bishonen}} human form like Mym... only to reveal he's holding a picture of a model while he pecks through it each time he talks to Ranzal until it breaks.
--> Ranzal: You broke your face!
* TheParalyzer: His attacks can give out [[StatusInflictionAttack paralysis]].
* PurpleIsPowerful: His stronger High dragon form gains purple highlights.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: He puts one of these to the Prince and Emile by having them fight each other to the death over who gets to make a pact with him. The Prince passes by refusing to kill his brother and saying he'll fight any dragon who goes to the way of evil.
* ShockAndAwe: Jupiter's light-based powers manifest as thunder and lightning.
* StepfordSmiler: [[spoiler:High Jupiter's story reveals he's this as a way to cope with the regret of leading Dane down his dark and twisted path until Alberius came along.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: He tells a Prince named Dane that in order to see the heavens again after he takes him up there, he has to go "Conquer this land". This fills Dane with an insatiable desire for power that sees him kill and overthrow his father, and start a brutal war.

When a young woman is forced into a cruel trial, Jupiter takes humanoid form to serve as her attorney.
----
* BishonenLine: His humanoid form is more conventionally attractive than his dragon form, but unlike Midgardsormr he runs with it, complete with sparkles on his introduction.
* TheChessmaster: To be expected from someone who can both see through and negotiate on strict terms with ''Chelle''. [[spoiler:''A Dazzling Defense'' had him attack Guaron from multiple angles, using both the Templars and the very artifact Guaron coveted against him while playing the clock and the court like fiddles. Any violence he induced was both precise and deliberate from beginning to end.]]
* {{Foreshadowing}}: The aforementioned Dragalia Life was a relatively adequate portrayal of how he looks.
* IGaveMyWord: He swore to aid the town of Littleton two hundred years ago, and meant every word of it. [[spoiler:The artifact being fought over in ''A Dazzling Defense'' was even meant to summon him when used, a fact that got distorted over the years.]]
* OhCrap: He sweats a bit when Guaron compels a perjurious testimony from the shopkeep after he got a rather accurate account. [[spoiler:He's a chessmaster for a reason, as this was just as much a part of his act as everything else. He even says he lives for moments where he induces this trope in his enemies.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Taking humanoid form does nothing to impair his control over lightning.
* VocalDissonance: He has the appearance of a handsome young man, but still has the voice of a little boy.

One of the Six Greatwyrms, the Shadowwyrm. Originally belonging to King Aurelius, he makes a pact with Euden in order to protect the young prince.\

An alternate timeline version of himself appears in the Fractured Futures event.\

A chibi version of him was given out to players logging in during the 1.5 Anniversary Celebration.
----
[[AC:Main Timeline]]
* AllYourPowersCombined: In his Primal battle, he can summon manifestations of Linnea, Forte, Bellina, and Alex to fight for him. He also borrows attacks from Vania, Gala Cleo, and Heinweld.
* AngerBornOfWorry: According to High Zodiark's Dragon Story, Zodiark has only shown anger towards a human once. [[spoiler:It was to Euden, several nights after the Other possessed Zethia and killed Aurelius, when he decided he'd confront the Other and rescue his sister alone.]]
* BlindObedience: Zodiark's (almost literally) fatal flaw is that he will aid his master unconditionally and without criticism. As a result, every ruler who's allied with him in the past has gone DrunkWithPower and brought their country to ruin, thus earning him his reputation as TheDreaded.
* BodyHorror: Zodiark is literally rotting alive thanks to humanity's hostility towards him, and it's just as excruciatingly painful as one would think.
* CastingAShadow: Is of the Shadow element, and is one of the two most powerful Shadow dragons alongside Chthonius.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: As a playable dragon High Zodiark can cause a 10% defense debuff.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Explicitly noted to be the kindest of all the Greatwyrms in his dragon story.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He joins the party for their excursion in Chapter 10.
* {{Dracolich}}: He certainly looks the part, due to his body rotting away due to humanity's hostility against him. It's especially notable considering what he originally (his Parallel version) looked like.
* TheDreaded: He's this not only in his Dragon story, but also to the heroes when he's under the control of Emperor Aurelius.
* DrunkWithPower: Chapter 1 of his Dragon story shows that former rulers who've allied with him started becoming utter tyrants over time.
* FunSize: The 1.5 Anniversary Event gives out a chibified version of him called Mini Zodi.
* TheGrotesque: Made all the more painful by the fact that human hatred has a physically corrosive effect on him. By the time [[spoiler:Aurelius]] stumbled upon him, he had resigned himself to slowly and painfully dying in a deep cave where no one could look upon him in horror.
* HeelFaceTurn: Starts off as hostile towards the protagonists. [[spoiler: However, this is due to his pactmaker, the King of Alberia, having been [[DemonicPossession under the Other's influence]]. Once the Other [[BodySurf leaves the King to possess Zethia]], the dragon is also freed of the influence.]]
* HeterosexualLifePartners: [[spoiler:With King Aurelius, to the point that their souls fuse together upon Aurelius's death.]]
* LikeASonToMe: [[spoiler:After fusing with Aurelius, Zodiark begins to see Euden as his own son, eventually turning his more passive LoveMartyr tendencies into more fiercely protective PapaWolf ones.]]
* LoveMartyr: Was one to all his previous masters, and is one to humanity in general. When people's hatred literally starts rotting him alive, he only withdraws from people because he's afraid he can only bring them misery.
* MergerOfSouls: [[spoiler:Aurelius's soul binds to his own upon death.]]
* PoisonousPerson: In his standard version as a playable dragon his breath can [[StatusInflictionAttack inflict]] the Poisoned affliction. Subverted as a {{Superboss}} which instead causes the Curse status, and in his other versions, which either don’t cause any afflictions or cause a DamageIncreasingDebuff.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Every version of him are all various shades of purple with his strongest form being a deep violet. In-universe he’s not only considered one of the strongest Shadow dragons but is implied to be, or at least was, the strongest of the greatwyrms.
* TheSymbiote: Unlike most dragons, Zodiark actually ''requires'' a dragon pact and the mana drawn from to remain alive, as he'll otherwise succumb to the rot plaguing him.

[[AC:Parallel Version]]
* AlternateSelf: This Zodiark comes from the/a past when he was pacting with a young Aurelius but was pulled to the/a future by a different alternate self. %%Time travel is really confusing especially when alternate worlds timelines intersect.
* CriticalHitClass: Gives a modest 20-40% critical damage modifier along with a small 10-20% strength buff.
* EvilMeScaresMe: His dragon story reveals that [[spoiler:he frequently has nightmares about murdering Zethia as Chronos]].
* CameBackStrong: Chronos reversed time for Zodiark in hopes of breaking the dragon pact he had with Aurelius. And while he technically succeeded, he also returned Zodiark to his unrotted prime, making him stronger in the process.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: [[spoiler:With Aurelius's AlternateSelf, Audric. Even with their dragonpact wiped from time by Chronos, Audric's bond with Zodiark is still strong enough that Audric is able to pursue Chronos across the chain of causality and reclaim his "other half" from them as though it were still intact.]]
* ShellShockedVeteran: Parallel Zodiark is just as unfailingly kind and polite as his regular version, but he's also anxious, plagued by nightmares, and certain that whatever happiness he finds is either false or fleeting.
* VisionsOfAnotherSelf: His dragon story shows that he would often dream of the events of the main timeline often enough that he's become unsure of which half of his life is the dream and which is reality.

To get a better understanding of human love, the shadowwyrm takes on a human form.
----
* ThePowerOfHate: His skills come to weaponize this against his foes. "Hatecluster" stains the victim with stacks of Spite, which then detonate with explosive force under "Death's Torrent".
* ShortRangeLongRangeWeapon: He uses a manacaster in close range to savage his foes. Malevolent Rush lets him fire one more time per chain, for a total of three shots (other close-range manacasters only get two shots).
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: His adventurer story is about him getting a better understanding of love by living among humans like Midgardsormr did during Alberius's time. At the end of the story, he concludes that love is essentially a light, able to guide people through an unpredictable and uncertain future, but also able to [[LoveMakesYouCrazy blind them to common sense and logic at other times.]]

One of the Six Greatwyrms, the Netherwyrm. Is said to have fallen in battle.
----
* BackFromTheDead: His dragon story tells how he did this for Alberius after he showed him HumansAreSpecial, saving him when he was about to die. Alberius [[spoiler:returns the favor in the second part of the story, so he can look after Euden and help keep his will alive.]]
* BreakingOldTrends:
** The only one of two Greatwyrms not gained from the story campaign but instead obtainable by summoning, also has no High Dragon Weapon set and can be unbounded by Draconic Essence.
* CastingAShadow: Is of the Shadow element, and is one of the two most powerful Shadow dragons alongside Zodiark.
* DubNameChange: In Japan, he's called Pluto.
* GatheringSteam: By default Chthonius only has a strength buff of 45% (55%), comparable to a MUB 4 star strength dragon. However, upon shapeshifting the buff will gain an extra 10% up to two times for a max strength of 65% (75%). This can also stack with the Dragon Claws skill making him great for shadow adventurers who shapeshift a lot such as Lathna and Audric.
** High Chthonius takes this to a [[GameBreaker whole new level]], with base 55-65% strength at base, ramping up by 20% per shift, capping at 95-'''105%''' strength. Also provides an extra 20-30% max HP after 2 shifts as a cherry on top.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Alberius. [[spoiler:He even initially refuses Alberius's request to resurrect him, seeing no point in returning to a world without Alberius in it. It's only after Alberius convinces him that he must keep his will alive through protecting Euden that Chthonius finally concedes and accepts being resurrected.]]
* PowerCreep: His High dragon version strictly powercreeps his standard version, simply by providing more strength along the same conditions, as well as some extra HP after shapeshifting twice. In fact, 0UB High Chthonius provides better passives than MUB Chthonius (bar the stats gained from leveling, which would not make much of a difference except for might purposes).
* SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler:He and Alberius had spent the last 300 years containing Morsayati's soul within him until it finally got too much that Alberius asks Euden to put him out of his misery.]]
* SuddenlySpeaking: While Chthonius had a Japanese voice since his introduction, he was completely voiceless in English, simply making roaring sounds like the other dragons. Come the addition of his High form, he now speaks even in his original form.
* TogetherInDeath: Shortly before Alberius went to his death, he released all the Greatwyrms from their pacts, giving them the choice to either die together with him or to live on. Chthonius chose death.
----
