!!Nene Amano
->Voiced by: Creator/HoukoKuwashima (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)[[labelnote:Other languages]]Creator/EvaPadoan (Italian)[[/labelnote]]
[[quoteright:128:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Nene_Amano_8365.jpg]]

A beautiful girl who leads the mysterious army Twilight. She appears to be searching for strong soldiers for an unknown purpose. She's not really the leader of Twilight and just a puppet of [=DarkKnightmon=]'s who is being manipulated because she wants to save her brother Yuu and return home. She joins Taiki and Xros Heart in Episode 21, along with those members of Twilight who actually supported her.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: She's more cold-blooded in the manga compared to the anime.
* AntiVillain: For most of the first season and most of the manga.
* BettyAndVeronica: She's got this dynamic with Akari (the Betty) in relationship to Taiki (the Archie), as she is the mysterious and occasionally seductive girl who gets access to Digimon power and Digi-Xros through her Xros-Loader ([[spoiler:something Akari, the reliable GenkiGirl, lacks for most of the anime and manga]]). [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/digimon/images/4/44/XrosWars_cap3.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20201231225635&path-prefix=es More so in the manga]], where she is way more explicit about her interest towards Taiki. [[spoiler:Although, canonically speaking, Taiki does not end up with neither of them, the anime seems to favor Akari more, as shown in the episode of the third season where she reappears.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes:
** She has a few tricks up her sleeves. [[spoiler: When she asked Kiriha to join her, and when she brought out Sparrowmon she means business.]]
** In the manga she's seen relaxing in a beach,[[spoiler: and Sparrowmon just finished off the Bagra commander, then she decides whether to take out either Taiki or Kiriha]]
* BigBrotherInstinct: She worked under [=DarkKnightmon=] in order to rescue her brother, Yuu, who had vanished into the Digital World, or alternatively so that he would help cure her sick sister.
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: One might assume her color is green, like the Monitamon working for her...until she pulls out a Black Xros Loader. It later turns lavender.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: In the second arc. It definitely comes in handy sometimes. Where does she get the costumes? Who knows.
* DamselInDistress: Both Taiki and Kiriha want to save her in Episodes 20-21. Even more so in the manga.
* EvilerThanThou: In the show she is willing to [[spoiler:torture defeated and non combatant Digimon to get what she wants, Kiriha has no interest in abusing on the weak if they are not in his way or those who are clearly defeated. In the manga she is willing to take hostages and hold their safety over her enemy's heads, which drives Kiriha away. Subverted later when it's discovered that she's a hapless pawn of [=DarkKnightmon=] who ends up joining Xros Heart well before Kiriha does.]]
* ExposedToTheElements: In the manga she claims that she cannot feel the cold, or much of anything for that matter.
* {{Expy}}: Somewhat reminiscent of [[Anime/DigimonTamers Rika]], even moreso in the sequel series when we find out [[spoiler: she has daddy issues. Bonus points for being voiced by Creator/MelissaFahn in the English dub version who also voiced Rika.]]
* GirlishPigtails: She wears her hair in two long pigtails.
* ImprobableHairstyle: [[spoiler: She takes it pretty hard when brainwashed Sparrowmon disses it and holds onto the grudge even after the condition has passed and Sparrowmon cannot even remember what happened.]]
%%* MagicSkirt
* MasterOfDisguise: In the second half, she has a penchant for disguises.
%%* {{Ninja}}
* NotSoAboveItAll: In episode 23, she starts to showcase more personality and is the one that finally gets Karatenmon to laugh. From then on, she stops being TheStoic and acts like a normal person.
* {{Ojou}}: Certainly acts like one.
* RedemptionRejection: Manga Nene also states she will never be able to make up for her sins since she has lost the ability to feel remorseful about them.
* SixthRanger: Nene joins Xros Heart in episode 21.
* TheStoic: For the first 20 or so episodes, at least, until she reveals her NotSoStoic side.
%%* TheStrategist
* WhenSheSmiles: After being stoic throughout the early part of the series, she proves to have a kind and compassionate side.

[[folder:Monitamon]]
!!Monitamon
->Voiced by: Yuko Maruyama (Japanese), Creator/ColleenOShaughnessey (English)[[labelnote:Other languages]]Creator/AlessioDeFilippis (Italian)[[/labelnote]]
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Monitamon_5727.png]]

A trio of ninja Digimon who serve Nene, spying on the heroes and collecting information for her. The Monitamon join Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21.

Their digivolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
-->'''[=Hi-VisionMonitamon=]''', a merger of three Monitamon. A variety of Monitamon dressed in black and with an HD television[[note]]"Hi-Vision" is the Japanese term for HD television[[/note]] for a head instead of an old CRT TV, with a yellow satellite dish mounted on top of it.
----
%%* CloudCuckooLander
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: In the {{Omake}} at the end of every episode, Monitamon tells the audience about a Digimon and its attacks...and usually ends up likening them to some sort of mundane utility.
%%* ElementalPowers
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Come on, they have ''giant [=TVs=] for heads!''
** Subverted. Despite their looks and tomfoolery, Nene always seems to have information on Taiki's whereabouts and deeds. The implication? The Monitamon are always there, doing such a good job of spying that ''we never see them.''
** And then played straight in the Shinobi Zone, pretty much all of them in bright colors you'd expect in [[Manga/{{Naruto}} another series]].
* ShoutOut: They look a lot like Canti from ''Anime/{{FLCL}}'', and appear similar to the Zakus from ''Anime/SDGundamForce''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Monimon]]
!!Monimon
[[quoteright:190:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Monimon_6751.png]]

A tiny light green TV-shaped Digimon that Nene carries in her arms. Monimon joins Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21.
----
* BadassAdorable: A cute little TV-mon, but can apparently teleport around {{Mons}} much bigger than itself.
%%* BlackBeadEyes
%%* TeamPet
* TeleportSpam: Seems to have this power based on episode 54. It's either this or FlashStep.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Gets very little in the way of screen time, which may lead one to wonder if it just spends all its time in Nene's Xros Loader.
** [[BackForTheFinale Monimon appears again in episode 54.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sparrowmon]]
!!Sparrowmon
->Voiced by: Creator/KokoroKikuchi (Japanese), Creator/MichelleRuff (English)[[labelnote:Other languages]]Creator/AlexPolidori (Italian)[[/labelnote]]
[[quoteright:275:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Sparrowmon_3084.jpg]]

A female Digimon in the shape of a yellow fighter jet, who serves Nene. She joins Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21, and contributes to the Shoutmon X5 and Shoutmon X7 Xrosses.

Her digivolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
--> '''''[=Sparrowmon After Burner=]''', with Ballistamon. Ballistamon becomes a pair of jet engines attached to Sparrowmon's back, allowing her to fly at high speeds. ([[Manga/DigimonXrosWars Manga only]])''
--> '''''[=RaptorSparrowmon=]''', her natural evolution. A much larger Sparrowmon with huge wings, several tendril-like tails, legs, and a more bird-like appearance. ([[Manga/DigimonXrosWars Manga only]])''
----
%%* AnimalMecha
%%* BadassAdorable
* BeamSpam: '''''RANDOM LASER!'''''
%%** GunsAkimbo
%%* BlowYouAway: When xrosed with Shoutmon
%%* CoolPlane
* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler: Episode 17 shows Sparrowmon bravely trying again and again to rescue Nene from the Gehenna sphere. ''She succeeds.'']]
%%* DoppelgangerSpin: '''''CRASH BOOM!'''''
* {{Expy}}: Of ''Pokemon'''s Latios and Latias.
%%* FragileSpeedster
%%** Taken further with the manga's After Burner xros.
* GenderBender: The manga says Sparrowmon is a boy but "his" human form is female. Even Akari is shown to be in disbelief.
%%* GenkiGirl
* KidsAreCruel: She has a high pitched voice like a child and finds much glee in blowing stuff up.
-->"Can I destroy him Nene?"
* MeaningfulName:
** Based on the ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinkel_He_162 Spatz]]'', which is a jet fighter. Spatz is German for "sparrow".
** [=RaptorSparrowmon=]'s name comes from the ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin_F-22_Raptor Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor]]
%%* MoreDakka
%%* RazorWings: Wing Edge
* SixthRanger: Amongst the five main Digimon - she later becomes the final component of [[spoiler:Shoutmon X5.]]
** [[spoiler:Despite becoming friends with Taiki, when she [=DigiXrosses=], she has Twilight's emblem until episode 26.]]
%%* UndyingLoyalty: To Nene.
%%* WrestlerInAllOfUs: '''''RAPTOR GRAPPLE!'''''
[[/folder]]

!!Bagra Army
Joined the Bagra Army in episode 31, remained separate in the manga.
[[folder:[=AxeKnightmon=]]]
!![=AxeKnightmon=] ([=DarkKnightmon=])
->Voiced by: Creator/JurotaKosugi (Japanese), Creator/KirkThornton (English, [=AxeKnightmon=] and above, Axemon), Creator/MatthewMercer (English, [=SkullKnightmon=], season 1), Creator/NeilKaplan (English, [=SkullKnightmon=], season 2)[[labelnote:Other languages]]Valerio Sacco (Italian)[[/labelnote]]
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/DarkKnightmon_Xros_Wars_1455.jpg]]

A powerful, mysterious Digimon that belongs to Nene's Twilight army. He is the true leader of Twilight and is in possession of the [[ArtifactOfDoom Darkness Loader]], which he claims will unlock his desires. Episode 29 reveals that he is in fact Bagramon's younger brother.

His digivolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
-->'''[=SkullKnightmon=]''', one of the two base components of [=DarkKnightmon=]. A squat knight with a skull motif, dual-wielding red lances.
-->'''Axemon ([=DeadlyAxemon=])''', one of the two base components of [=DarkKnightmon=]. A black quadrupedial creature whose body mostly consists of blades.
-->'''[=MusouKnightmon=]''', with Tuwarmon. [=DarkKnightmon=] receives a massive Tuwarmon-shaped {{BFG}} turret attached to both of his hands.
----
* AffablyEvil: In the show he never stops behaving like a gentleman, even when he's ruining people's lives. Not so much in in the manga.
** FauxAffablyEvil: It's all a facade, and only highlights how how evil he is.
* AristocratsAreEvil: He did say that he was but a noble. [[spoiler: Although Bagramon calls him out on this near the end of the series, saying that he started calling himself a noble one day despite never actually being one. However, according to the official subs available for viewing on Crunchyroll, Bagramon instead chastises him for proudly flying the banner of nobility just to make himself look good, so he may actually be an aristocrat after all, but one who defines himself by flaunting his noble status rather than letting his merit speak on its own accord.]]
* BadassCape: As both [=DarkKnightmon=] and [=SkullKnightmon=].
* {{BFG}}: [=DarkKnightmon=] and Tsuwamon's [=DigiXros=], [=MusouKnightmon=], is armed with this.
* BigBadWannabe
* BlackKnight
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: As [=SkullKnightmon=], his arms ''were'' lances.
%%* TheChessmaster
%%* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder
* DetachmentCombat: He has Nene split him into [=SkullKnightmon=] and [=DeadlyAxemon=]. [=SkullKnightmon=] is the dominant personality of the two when they are combined.
* DoubleWeapon: His JoustingLance has two ends.
* TheDragon: Becomes this to Bagramon after joining his side upon the Bagra Army's collection of the Code Crowns at the conclusion of the series's first half.
* DragonInChief: Is the real power behind Nene, with her being more a puppet than his proper general. He plays the same role to Yuu, made most evident when he successfully betrays Yuu to for more power.
* DragonWithAnAgenda: Planned to betray his brother from the very beginning by means of absorption with the Darkness Loader.
* DevourTheDragon: Attempted this with Yuu, in a sense, by locking him in a power generator and using Yuu as a battery. He's on the wrong end of this in the finale with Bagramon overpowering him the moment he no longer has Yuu to support him.
* EasilyForgiven: In the manga.
* EnemyMine: With Lilithmon as of Episode 21. As per usual, [=DarkKnightmon=]'s intentions are anyone's guess. Of course, both intend to betray the other as soon as they [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness have no further use for one another.]]
** [[spoiler: This is ultimately subverted when we find out in episode 29 that [=DarkKnightmon=] was part of the Bagra Army from the start; technically he and Lilithmon were always on the same side, Lilithmon just [[LockedOutOfTheLoop didn't know it]].]]
* EquippableAlly: [=DeadlyAxemon=] has been this to [=SkullKnightmon=] outside of their [=DarkKnightmon=] form as well as to Tuwarmon and Apollomon Whispered.
* EvilLaugh: He can't even seem to finish his sentences without some sort of ominous chuckling, to say *nothing* of when he's properly "amused".
** GigglingVillain: He always does the "Hmph! Hmph! Hmph! Hmph!" laugh a lot.
* EvilSoundsDeep
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Especially when he's [[MoreThanMindControl influencing Nene.]]
** He has them in his [=SkullKnightmon=] form, too.
* JoustingLance: He wields a double-ended lance, which is suitable seeing that he's a knight.
* KarmicDeath: [=DarkKnightmon's=] endgame plan was to use Yuu as a battery for enough power to absorb his brother. The moment Yuu is freed, Bagramon kills him and devours him instead.
* LargeHam: An oddly well-cultured one, but a ham nonetheless.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkqmaf77u0M Dark Knight: The King of Immortality.]] Kill you, indeed.
** Notably used in episode 52, when [[spoiler:[=DarkKnightmon=] betrays Bagramon.]]
* LightningBruiser: [=SkullKnightmon=] and [=DeadlyAxemon=] are VERY agile.
* LiteralSplitPersonality: Is actually the [=DigiXros=] of [=SkullKnightmon=] and [=DeadlyAxemon=]. Though [=DeadlyAxemon=] is little more than an attack dog, he's quite clearly a different being from [=SkullKnightmon=].
* LossOfIdentity: In the manga. As he forcibly [=DigiXroses=] more and more Digimon, his mind gets lost among theirs until he becomes a mindless, power-hungry berserker. He gets better, but the sight of him in that state drives Bagramon to ManlyTears.
* ManBehindTheMan: Episode 19 reveals that [[spoiler: he is essentially the leader of Twilight and is using Nene for his own twisted purpose by using her love for her brother to manipulate her.]]
* MindHive: In the manga as a result of numerous forced [=DigiXroses=]. The minds blur together until he can't even remember his own name.
* MoreThanMindControl: There's just something ''off'' about his relationship with Nene.
** And now, with Kiriha as well.
* NonIndicativeName: His Twin Spear weapon is actually a couple of lances, not spears.
* ObviouslyEvil: As well as the GlowingEyesOfDoom, which should be enough for any sane person, the very names of him and the Digimon that make him up ([=SkullKnightmon=] and [=DeadlyAxemon=] don't exactly sound like creatures you'd like to meet at night) and also the EvilLaugh all add to one of the most frightening Digimon ever to appear.
* OutOfFocus: [=DeadlyAxemon=] doesn't really do anything aside from form half for [=DarkKnightmon=], hit [=MetalGreymon=] a couple of times and Xros with Tuwarmon.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His [=SkullKnightmon=] form has a pair of the chestplate.
* SanitySlippage: Major case in the manga do to how forced [=DigiXros=] affects his mind.
* ShadowArchetype: From a design standpoint, he's this to Shoutmon X4 and above. [[spoiler: When paired with his brother, he's this towards Nene and Yuu]]. In terms of modus operandi, he's this towards Taiki.
* ShoutOut: [=SkullKnightmon=] looks to be one towards both [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann a Gunmen]] and Meta-Knight from the ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' series.
** Then there's the fact that his name, cape, and familiar-shaped structure on his chest tend to remind one of Franchise/{{Batman}}.
* SpikesOfVillainy: To grotesque levels in the manga once he starts piling on [=DigiXroses=].
* TheStarscream: [[spoiler:Betrays Bagramon with a hefty backstab, before [=DigiXrossing=] with him to attain full power. Backfires spectacularly when Bagramon seizes back control from within and effectively destroys him.]]
** [[spoiler: His brother knew [=DarkKnightmon=] was antagonistic towards him, but admired his forward thinking, much like the trope namer's relationship to Megatron. It seems that the brothers have a rather...unique relationship.]]
* WickedCultured: He maintains the air of a gentleman, speaking in a tone that emphasizes his arrogance and nobility.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ewan Amano]]
!!Ewan Amano (Yuu Amano)
->Voiced by: Kanae Oki (Japanese), Creator/CindyRobinson (English)[[labelnote:Other languages]]Omar Vitelli (Italian)[[/labelnote]]
[[quoteright:161:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Yuu_Amano_3048.png]]

Nene's younger brother. He was manipulated by [=DarkKnightmon=] into leading the Bagra Army as its primary tactician, believing it all to be just a game.
----
* AdaptedOut: The [[Manga/DigimonXrosWars manga]] version of events replaces Yuu with Kotone Amano, a younger and more energetic little sister to Nene. Whereas Yuu was truly on [=DarkKnightmon=]'s side and Nene had been tricked into thinking he was a hostage, Kotone was an ''actual'' hostage, prompting Nene to give herself over to Shademon to save Kotone from being fused with it, and Kotone proceeding to join Xros Heart and become Sparrowmon's partner in Nene's stead.
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler: Yuu will probably head this way in the second series, because it looks like he'll be a part of the good guys.]]
* BeneathTheMask: Before he entered the Digital World, [[spoiler: Yuu was a kind boy who did not want to hurt anyone. However, he resented having to handicap himself in order to keep himself from hurting others. His behaviour in the Digital World was due to his belief that no one there could get hurt or die, which let him use his full talents with impunity.]]
* CainAndAbel: Though played with in that the evil one is the younger of the two siblings.
** [[spoiler: Subverted. His antagonism towards his sister was the product of his belief that he couldn't hurt her in the Digital World, rather than any previous sibling rivalry.]]
* CreepyChild: It varies in how it shows - sometimes through his sheer cheerful obliviousness to everything he's causing, and sometimes when he snaps and gets desparate to win.
* {{Expy}}: Of Ken from ''Anime/DigimonAdventure02''. [[spoiler: He thinks that the Digital World is just a game, even though his sister and her friends tell him otherwise.]] He is actually a very kind kid who just wants to be able to escape the sadness and pain of the Real World, [[spoiler: and his Digimon dies in his arms.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: Used to be bad, turned good.
* HeelRealization: When he finally realizes his actions have been causing real pain and death, it hits the poor kid ''hard''. He even calls himself "the worst person in the world" at one point, distraught as he is.
* HumanResources: His energy is used to fuel the Darkness Loader in episodes 52 and 53.
* SupportingLeader: In the final battle. While Taiki worked on rescuing Shoutmon, Yuu took command of the Xros Heart forces for him and personally used most of Taiki's Digimon.
* UnwittingPawn: Of [=DarkKnightmon=], just like his sister was.
* UsedToBeASweetKid
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: He's apparently hoodwinked into believing the Digital World is a video game, so he has no problem with giving a "game over" to anyone - like his sister, for instance!
** [[spoiler: Someone who believes the Digital World is a video game? [[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 Now where have I heard that before?]]]]
** AndYouThoughtItWasAGame: He honestly thought that no one in the Digital World could get hurt or die there. When his opponents manage to show him otherwise, [[VillainousBSOD he doesn't take it well.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler: After the fact that it's not just a game is revealed to him, only worsened by Damemon's death.]]
