Context Characters / ChainsOfRealityLoudSisters

Go To

The successors of the progenitors that used to rule the original reality, and the secondary(?) main characters after the main trio themselves.
For tropes concerning Lori and Leni, see the Mentor Trio.
[[foldercontrol]]
[[folder: In General]]
* ActionGirl: This should go without saying.
* AmnesiacGod: They're all divine beings who were there for the end of the old reality and the birth of the new one onwards, but everything about the former draws a blank.
* AmnesiacHero: A variation, in that while they have memories of their past in the new reality, everything from the old reality draws a complete blank.
* BadassAdorable: They all have their fair share of cuteness, and are the successors for the gods of the previous world to boot.
* BerserkButton: Hurt their family, and they won't go easy on you.
* BreakTheCutie: One way or another, original or reboot, most of the sisters wind up getting broken at some point.
* ElementalPowers: Most of the sisters display some elemental ability on their own, excluding Luna, Lola, and maybe Lisa and Lily. They are, in order:
** DishingOutDirt: Lana.
** LightEmUp: Lucy.
** MakingASplash: Luan.
** PlayingWithFire: Lynn.
* FireIceLightning: Lynn, Lola, and Lori, respectively.
* InstantExpert: Downplayed. The sisters don't always have full knowledge of how their powers works, nor do they immediately know how any new power they find functions, but it doesn't take much longer than a bit of experimentation for them to quickly get a grasp of them.
* InadequateInheritor: The Proto-Sisters sees them as this, but it's not clear if this is a case of them believing everybody but them is unfitting to rule the castes, or if the sisters really are inadequate to rule them.
* IncompletelyTrained: They're barely still getting used to their powers at the start of the story when they have their first fight with the Proto-Sisters.
* LegacyCharacter: They're the second set of Loud sisters ruling the universe, with the first set, the Proto-Sisters, seemingly wanting them dead.
* NoBadassToHisValet: Just because they're the divine matriarchs of the new reality doesn't mean the other characters have to automatically treat them as much. In fact, outside of Haiku, the sadie hawkins quartet show this the clearest, with Polly and Tabby both showing anger at their respective friends without reprecution, and Giggles acting as TheConscience and not being afraid to give Luan a piece of her mind.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Their physical looks range from teenagers (Luna and Luan), to children (Lynn to Lily), but considering they were there at the start of the new reality, this trope certainly applies to them.
* PhysicalGod: This one should be obvious.
* PowerGivesYouWings: Whenever they achieve greater levels of power, use their own powers in specific ways, or whenever they transform into their angel forms, the sisters gain wings on their backs. Depending on what they're doing, these can either be represented as normal wings, or bizarre wings shaped like their caste birthmarks.
* SuperiorSuccessor: While they don't have full control of their powers yet, their relatively stable minds already marks them as an improvement over the Proto-Sisters, whose millions of years trapped in the remains of the old world drove them mad.
* UnskilledButStrong: On paper, the Loud sisters are possibly some of the strongest characters in their respective castes, which is fitting seeing as they're supposed to be the new monarchs. However, their lack of skill with these powers show quite clearly with the fact that, for the most part, their lack of training means they mostly use the simplest techniques in their caste's repertoire.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Luna Loud/Dumah]]
The third oldest, after Lori and Leni. She's a music fan who works as the unofficial leader of the sisters.
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Gains one after Rita gives her the sword-shaped Loud Slayer, with the resulting sword being sharp enough to [[spoiler: cut the night dome's core in half.]]
* AffectionateNickname: With shades of a little embarrassment: "Lamp," which is mostly used by Sam.
* AngerBornOfWorry: When she gets angry with Lisa during the earlier chapters, its clear that its due to concern for Lily's safety, and not out of genuine malice.
* CasualDangerDialogue: While training with her, Polly Pain, and Lynn, Luna tries to strike up some idle chit-chat with Tabby, while the two are inside a circle created from Lynn chasing Polly around. [[NoNonsenseNemesis Tabby]]'s not having any of it.
* CurbStompCushion: Her fight with Lori in the original story. She's clearly outmatched, [[spoiler: even defeated]], by Lori through the fight, but not only does she get some hits in, she also unlocks her angel form in the process.
* DeadpanSnarker: Her response after hearing Lynn's "[[AttackAttackAttack plan]]" in Tag Team Training is dripping with this.
* DevilsAdvocate: Now, to be perfectly blunt, Luna isn't blind to the fact Sam [[{{Jerkass}} isn't the nicest person]][[MoralityPet to anybody who isn't her]], but she's at least willing to give her a chance to explain herself before getting angry at her. In fact, this is exactly the reason why Leni [[WhatTheHellHero gets angry at her]] near the end of the Proto-Lana arc.
* DistractedByTheSexy: Seeing Carol in a swimsuit during the beach arc really catches Luna off-guard, especially when she walks to her and tries to ask her if she could join her. She's smitten to the point that she outrights ''leaves Sam for Carol'' and fails to realize what she did until Sam bluntly spells it out to her.
* DraggedByTheCollar: Happens to her literally whenever Sam summons the energy collar on her.
* EmbarrassingNickname: "Lamp", as Sam calls her. Although she doesn't mind as much as someone would expect.
* EnergyWeapon: The only one of the sisters to actually use energy to create hers, with the weapon in question taking the shape of an axe.
* FlamingSword: Gains one of these from her Loud Slayer weapon given to her by Rita, [[spoiler: which she uses to cut the core of the eternal night dome in half.]]
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: To an extent, concerning her relationship with Sam. When we first see her, she seems like the same canon chill girl, until she demonstrates who she is by blatantly refusing to let Lincoln and Clyde. This in itself, however, isn't enough to raise any red flags. However, Sam then appears one day, seemingly ''drunk'' (or maybe dizzy) in school, and makes Luna her girlfriend without asking her first. Normally this ''would'' raise some flags, but Luna just decides to go along with it. Then Sam decides to ''literally put a collar on her'' using the same kind of magic Luna does, and at the beach chapter, Sam outright shows traits of being a controlling/possessive girlfriend. And somehow, despite all of the above, Luna still decides to act like a DevilsAdvocate for Sam, and still continues to date her to this day.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Due to the DistractedByTheSexy trope above, Luna basically accepts to hang out with Carol and ditches Sam, ''right in front of the blonde musician's face''.
* TheLeader: Seeing as Lori and Leni remain at the sidelines most of the time, and Lincoln has his own group with Ronnie Anne and Clyde, this makes Luna the leader of the sisters by default.
* {{Lunacy}}: The moon seems to be a common theme for her. Besides the obvious fact her name is Spanish for moon, one of the duties she inheritted from Proto-Luna is control over the moon. Not to mention, her caste's birthmark is literally shaped like a crescent moon.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: The event that leads to the aforementioned trope? Charles, the family dog, biting Luna's hand really hard. Sure, it's gotta hurt, but you wouldn't expect something like that to lead into the above.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Her main color is purple, and is the strongest sister besides Lori and Leni.
* SoProudOfYou: Sarcastically towards Lynn in chapter 18.
* SuperScream: Sound seems to be a primary theme in her caste, so it should come as no surprise that one of her abilities is being able to scream very loudly. How loudly? Her screaming leaves ''a crater'' in the backyard.
* TearsOfFear: Sheds these when she's about to try and attack the Proto-Sisters during the intro arc. [[HopelessBossFight Considering the situation]], you honestly can't blame her.
* WhatTheHellHero: She and Luan both call out Lisa on dragging Lily on for another one of her experiments, but it's clear that Luna's words were the ones that stung Lisa the most.
* YouWouldntLikeMeWhenImAngry: She doesn't says this herself, but Lisa more or less invokes the trope when Lincoln asks her if she's worried about making her angry again:
---> Lisa: Our musical sister can be a little scary when she's angry.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Luan Loud]]
The fourth oldest, after Lori, Leni, and Luna. She's a jokestore with a perchant for puns.
* ClippedWingAngel: Literally an angel in her case; She tries powering up to her angel form, but only comes up to an odd, hybridized form between her angel and base form. While she's a bit stronger in this form, the boost isn't significant enough to make a difference against Proto-Lucy.
* ColourCodedTimestop: Since her color motif is yellow, then any spots she creates to freeze time is also colored yellow as well.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: She and Maggie used to be friends, who would share jokes and sometimes go do pranks on others, until one day Luan decided to pull a pretty extreme prank that ended with Maggie getting some broken bones, and she didn't apologize or even feel bad about it until much later, by which point the damage was already and Maggie decided to cut ties with her.]] Let's just say she takes this quite personally...
* DeclarationOfProtection: Gives one to Lucy before she walks ahead and decides to face against Proto-Lucy in her hybrid angel form.
* TheEmpath: The epilogue to the Proto-Lucy arc reveals that she has the ability to emit an aura that causes others to feel the same thing she's feeling, though this has only been shown demonstrated when she was upset.
* HybridPower: Averted. She's the only sister to ever reach a hybrid form between her angel and base form, but that's all the achievement she gets; The resulting form isn't strong enough to make a difference against a progenitor like Proto-Lucy, and she quickly finds her having her butt handed to her.
* LackOfEmpathy: Suffered a bad case of this when she was younger, as she performed a cruel prank on [[spoiler: Maggie]] that left her with ''broken bones'', and didn't feel bad about it until ''much'' later.
* PungeonMaster: But of course, it's Luan, what did you expect? Although, she'll stop doing the puns if the situation gets serious enough. In fact, this turns out to be her main power; Using puns themselves as weapons.
* SayMyName: [[spoiler: Lucccyyyy!!!]]
* SadClown: Implied, at least in the beginning, and becomes even more notable later down the line after the events of the Proto-Lana and Proto-Lucy arc.
* TimeMaster: It's eventually revealed that she has the power to control time, probably to balance Luna's implied power over space.
* TimeStandsStill: Accidentally causes one of these to happen when she's facing [[spoiler: the corrupted Giggles]], and it affects all but a select few people before it turns off after a while.
* TraumaticSuperPowerAwakening: She discovered her TimeStandsStill powers while facing off against the corrupted version of Giggles.
* MakingASplash: Has the ability to control water, though she seems to need to make a water pun first before she can do it.
* MyGreatestFailure: Whatever she did to Maggie years ago, she's most certainly not proud of it. [[spoiler: It's eventually revealed that she pulled a particularly cruel prank on Maggie, and felt little regret afterwards, and she came to regret it years later, sharing the same feeling when she failed to stop Lucy from being killed by the hydra.]]
* WeUsedToBeFriends: With Maggie, as the two were a comedy duo, or at least comedic friends, when
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lynn Loud/Camael]]
The youngest of the oldest set of sisters. She's an athletic sports junkie with an energetic attitude.
* AgonyOfTheFeet: She kicks the door to the corrupted pageant contest in an effort to get everybody out, but all she manages to do is more or less fracture her leg.
* AnArmAndALeg: While she doesn't actually ''lose'' her arms during her fight with her prototype counterpart, they end up so badly burnt and scorched that she might as well have lost them.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: As Polly quite vividly puts it, it doesn't matter what sport Lynn is playing at the time, she always tries to be the center of attention.
* AttackAttackAttack: In general, Lynn isn't exactly one who thinks before she acts. Her "strategy" during the tag team training with Polly and Tabby is her simply focusing on fighting Polly, while Luna fights Tabby. [[spoiler: She eventually has to give up this kind of mentality in the Proto-Lucy arc in order to survive her fight against her counterpart.]]
* AwesomeButImpractical: Her Bersoreker form. It makes her significantly stronger using the power of her anger, but the boost isn't enough to go against even one progenitor, and she sometimes winds up being BlindedByRage as well, meaning she can't use the form effectively.
* BadassBoast: After [[spoiler: Lucyfer]] threatens to send her to Tartarus if she dares fight her.
----> "Heh, go ahead, I challenge you to do that! I'll just climb right back out and pummel you until you bring Lucy back!"
* BattleTrophy: Going by her comment in the first chapter of the reboot, she likes to keep the balls that end up being used for the winning shot in her game.
* TheBerserker: Turns into this whenever she gets too angry, and enters her Bersoreker mode. The lack of actual reasoning, combined with her lack of strategic power, means that she mostly gets beaten whenever she enters this, due to most of the time facing off against opponents much stronger than her.
* BeyondTheImpossible: [[spoiler: Surviving heading to the sun]] is already a pretty drastic feat, which her counterpart notes herself, but the even bigger, unnoticed feat of ''returning to the Earth mere moments later'' is also a pretty good candidate for this trope.
* BlindedByRage: Every single time she reaches her bersoreker form, she gets affected by this, practically ending the fight against her favor.
* BringIt: Says this almost word-for-word when [[spoiler: Lucyfer]] threatens her with CessationOfExistence.
* BuffySpeak: Falls into this as she tries to explain what she was doing before she came to her mother and sisters, the ones dealing with the dome. Despite being mostly nonsense, however, it's actually kinda accurate.
----> Some things happened and we split, and then some more things happened and we split up again, and then even more stuff happened and I'm here now!
* BurningRubber: She leaves a trail of fire as she speeds up to meet with Luna in order to help return the sunlight during the Proto-Lucy arc.
* BurnTheUndead: She tries to invoke this, saying that this is the best way to deal with a zombie, as she's seen in fiction. [[AvertedTrope It doesn't quite work out]].
* FacialHorror: Half of her face gets burnt when one of her fireballs is thrown back at her by one of the zombies.
* {{Fireballs}}: One of the most common applications of her fire powers.
* FireIsRed: Red is her color motif, so of course the fire she invokes is of the same color as well.
* FireOfComfort: Her fire abilities aren't entirely related to combat, as shown when she heats up her own temperature while she hugs the Biker trio after being saved from falling into the lake.
* FireKeepsItDead: Believes this alongside BurnTheUndead when facing the zombies.
* FirePurifies: She points out this out when she, Lincoln and Lucy [[spoiler: see the morticians club and Renee]] in purgatory, and need a way to purify whatever happened to them. [[spoiler: Lylu eventually proves her assumption right.]]
* HourOfPower: While a time limit is never specified, once Lynn enters her solar form, she only has a limited amount of time before the form takes a toll on her body and kills her.
* HotWings: Being that fire is her main elemental power, whenever she gains her wings, they're represented as being made of fire.
* HurlItIntoTheSun: Does this to ''herself'' in an attempt to gain a power-up big enough to face against Proto-Lucy. It works, but puts her in borrowed time.
* HulkingOut: If she gets angry or sore enough, she can enter a state where she viisbly bulks up, top-wise anyway, and her power grows exponentially. [[TheWorfEffect Not that this has ever helped her in a fight]].
* KickChick: Once her arms are burnt beyond belief, she ends up using kicks for the remainder of the Proto-Lucy arc, to the point her finisher move against Proto-Lucy is a dropkick.
* KillItWithFire: Thinks of doing this to the zombies as shown in BurnTheUndead above, and in general, it seems that if she can't use her fists to deal with something, she'll use her fire powers instead. Eventually, however, [[spoiler: the only thing her fire manages to kill is herself.]]
* TheNapoleon: Let's see; She's barely above the size of Lincoln despite being a teenager, and she tends to get angry or agitated rather easily. You could say she fits this trope pretty well. [[spoiler: Funnily enough, one of her counterparts evetually turns out to be Napoleon himself, as said by Lisa.]]
* NoBodyLeftBehind: [[spoiler: Her body's reduced to dust once her solar form's time limit is up, which is blown away just as Lucy realizes this.]]
* NotAfraidToDie: When [[spoiler: Lucyfer]] threatens to send her to the Greek's version of hell for fighting against her, Lynn simply challenges her to do it, and that she'll simply return to beat her up until Lucy comes back. [[YourDaysAreNumbered Considering the pressure put on her form at the moment]], she probably feels like there's little reason to fear any death threats when she's a goner anyway.
* PlayingWithFire: She has the ability to manipulate fire as a member of the Lynn caste, and due to being the matriarch of said caste, her powers have a greater extent than most other people in it.
* PowerAtAPrice: [[HurlItIntoTheSun After being shot into the sun]], and coming back, she gains access to a solar form that greatly increases her power, at the cost of [[SelfImmolation gradully burning her body away]].
* PowerOfTheSun: While not using any "solar" abilities herself, it's her trip to the sun [[spoiler: with Luna's help]] that lets her become strong enough to fight against Proto-Lucy/[[spoiler: Lucyfer]] in equal footing.
* RedIsHeroic: Wears red as part of her attire, and is one of the heroes.
* RedIsViolent: Again, her attire mostly consists of red, and once she gets angry, there's no way to stop her rage until she either vents, or gets jobbed out of it.
* ReducedToDust: Once the time limit of her solar form runs out, Lynn's body turns into dust, managing to stay still long enough to give Lucy a thumbs up before dissolving.
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: Averted. As revealed during the gym match between her, Margo, Polly, and Paige, she isn't immune to her own fire attacks, as shown when an intense fire-related attack causes her arms to become burnt. [[spoiler: Her clothes aren't immune to them either, as both them and her are evaporated after using up all her power in the fight against Lucyfer.]]
* SarcasmBlind: When Lori snarks that she should keep her plan to herself, [[UnspokenPlanGuarantee saying that it's guaranteed to make it work]], Lynn buys it at face value.
* SelfImmolation: At first, she accidentally burns her arms during a game of volleyball with Margo and Paige, but a more serious example comes from her solar form, which keeps burning her the longer she stays there. [[spoiler: It burns to the point that her body's reduced to dust.]]
* SkewedPriorities: Her first appearance has her care more about getting the ball that got her the homerun rather than show concern for Lincoln, who was hit with it.
* SuperStrength: Her solar-powered form apparently gives her enough strength to ''stop a giant skeletal fist and throw it back''.
* SuperSpeed: As revealed by Leni, this is the actual power Lynn possesses, along with her entire caste. Though, see below for how her inexperience means she can't use it effectively.
* TheyJustDontGetIt: No matter how many times Lynn is told of how her trying to be the center of attention and do everything by herself isn't winning her any favours, she ''always'' keeps trying to be the center of attention nonetheless. It takes until the Proto-Lucy Arc for the lesson to stick in.
* TopHeavyGuy: In her bersoreker form; Her upper body becomes massive and muscular, while her lower body also becomes muscular, but remains the same size.
* TooFastToStop: Because she's not experienced enough in using her super speed, whenever she does utilize it, she finds herself unable to stop until she hits something that breaks her there.
* VasquezAlwaysDies: Lynn's easily one of the most masculine of the sisters, while not the first one to bite the dust (that would be [[spoiler: Lucy]]), she's still the first character to die for real with no immediate resurrection, or implied way of reviving her.
* WreathedInFlames: Her solar-powered form once she returns from the sun is basically this, to the point it's said to be like "A Lynn-shaped fireball."
* YourDaysAreNumbered: Once she gets into her "sun-powered" form, it's said that once the energy of the form runs out, Lynn's a goner. [[spoiler: Surely enough, once the entire fiasco's dealt with, Lynn's body turns into dust, which is swept away by the wind as Lucy tries to check up on her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lucy Loud/Ariel]]
The oldest of the youngest set. She's a quiet goth with a liking for the occult.
* BabyFactory: [[AvertedTrope Don't worry, this doesn't happen to her]], but Proto-Lucy most certainly got the idea once she reveals she had this planned for her in order to create a Lupa, [[PoweredByAForsakenChild so she could then use her to replace Calliope as the core of the Gashadokuro]].
* BackFromTheDead: During the Proto-Lucy arc, [[spoiler: Her achieving a revenant form allows her to come back to the living world, at least going by how she seems to be back to her living form once she comes out of the form.
* BarrierWarrior: Alongside using her light energy to summon giant hands and walls, she can also create barriers around herself and her companions.
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: [[spoiler: Once Proto-Lucy has taken control of her body, Lucy finds herself in one of this with the divine impostor, effectively resisting being completely taken over by her.]]
* BreakThemByTalking: It's a combination of this and [[ShutUpHannibal her refusal to let Proto-Lucy's words break her]] that allows Lucy to slowly cause her counterpart to crack and breakdown during their [[spoiler: mental battle]]
* CallingYourAttacks: "Hikari!"
* CloseToHome: Lucy walks closer to the pile of bodies that's supposed to form into the Gashadokuro, and is quickly reminded of the faces in the shadow dome Proto-lucy trapped her in at the introduction arc. Shortly after, she witnesses Proto-Lucy torturing Luan in her half-angel form, and this further triggers her into snapping and turning into a revenant.
* DarkIsNotEvil: She looks like a very creepy girl on the surface, and has even the ability to control darkness if her mental state is negative, but is explicitly on the heroes' side.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: [[spoiler: Did you just utterly annihilate the dark entity that was possessing Proto-Lucy's body?!]]
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler: She briefly dies during the climactic battle near the end of the Proto-Lana arc, but winds up suddenly reviving mere moments afterwards.]]
* DontFearTheReaper: She's more or less the grim reaper of the Chains dimension, if not the Angel of Death, but as long as you're not a Progenitor or an evil person, Lucy's a nice, if kinda quirky, goth girl.
* EmotionalPowers: Her Light and Darkness manipulation seem to work like this, going by what Proto-Lucy says: The angrier and more violent Lucy becomes, the more she'll lean towards darkness manipulation, while as long as she's on the defensive or on a stable mindset, her powers lean towards light manipulation.
* EnergyBall: Can create one of these made out of light energy, which as Leni told her, is actually called "Hikari" and it needs to be called out in order for it to work.
* EyeMotifs: Has an eye motif to her name. Her eyes are the only parts of her face that aren't immediately visible, losing her eyes is the punishment she gets/will receive (Original and reboot respectively) after summoning her counterpart, and [[spoiler: After her death and subsequent revival, the easiest way to tell her paradoxic status is by looking at her eyes: One looks normal, one has black sclera and a tombstone-shaped pupil.]]
* EyeScream: In the original version of the story, she winds up losing her eyes from "botching" the summoning ritual for her prototype counterpart.
* ForgotAboutHisPowers: When Lucy's told to use her divine essence/transform into her angel form in order to get an use out of Gae Bolg, the goth can only give a sheepish smile in response.
* {{Goth}}: It's Lucy, what did you expect?
* GratuitousJapanese: Hikari, both the name of her EnergyBall attack and the word she has to shout to activate it, is the Japanese word for "Light."
* HolyBacklight: The image of the sun appears behind her as she charges a Hikari in order to destroy her prototype counterpart
* HystericalWoman: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]], in that there are several characters who act more emotional than her. It's just the fact that she's shown being emotional at all, when before the progenitors she was the same quiet goth as in canon, that catches everyone off-guard.
* LightEmUp: Has the ability to control the element of light.
* LightIsGood: Light appears to be her primary elemental power, and she's firmly on the side of good.
* NotHimself: She and Luan are both guilty of this trope, but Lucy even more so, as she went from a quiet, introverted gothic girl to one that's shown to be quite emotional at times, to the point there's an actual tone in her voice besides "deadpan."
* NotWorthKilling: Once her counterpart's body seems to be breaking apart, she decides to go focus on the Gashadokuro, believing that by this point, fighting her prototype counterpart was just not worth it. [[spoiler: This turns out to be her mistake, since Proto-Lucy takes he chance to possess her and create Lucyfer.]]
* OxymoronicBeing: After [[spoiler: her death]] in the Proto-Lana arc, she's essentially stuck in a state between life and death, as explained by Leni during chapter 31.
* PaperCutting: Gets a small cut on the cheek after dodging an attack from Proto-Lucy's SinisterScythe.
* ThePowerOfHate: This is the power that not only allows her to achieve a Revenant form, but also helps her [[spoiler: come back from the dead.]]
* RevenantZombie: Turns into one of these once Proto-Lucy manages to strike a particularly sensitive nerve on her. [[NiceJobFixingItVillain This allows her to come back to life, somehow]].
* SayMyName: [[spoiler: Lyyyynnnnn!!!!]]
* ShutUpHannibal: Her prototype counterpart tries to break her beliefs and faith in Lincoln by revealing several harsh truths of what Proto-Lincoln did. Not only does Lucy not fall for any of them, but she quickly turns the tables on her and begins slowly breaking her down.
* SkullMotif: Her caste's birthmark is shaped like a skull.
* SquashedFlat: [[spoiler: How she dies in the Proto-Lana arc.]]
* SummonMagic: Technically she's not so much using magic as blowing a whistle, but said whistle allows her to summon a GhostTrain, with the speed at which it appears increasing the harder she blows. [[spoiler: She puts this to good use when she needs to stop the Gashadokuro from letting Proto-Lucy invade the afterlife.]]
* TechnicallyLivingZombie: Well, undead, but this is what she more or less is after coming back to life. As explained by Leni in one of the pre-Proto-Lucy arc chapters, the undead are basically classified into different types, but all are agreed to be entities that came back from the dead. Since Lucy herself fully did that by the end of the Proto-Lucy arc, she counts as an undead.
* UndeadChild: Stuck in a state of life and death after the Proto-Lucy arc, then turns into a TechnicallyLivingZombie by the end of the next arc.
* UnexplainedRecovery: So far, there's no real reason why [[spoiler: she revived after being squashed to death by the hydra]] in the Proto-Lana arc.
** There's also her coming back to the world of the living after her time on her revenant form runs out.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lana Loud/Hayyel]]
The second oldest of the younger set. She's a tomboy who likes dirt.
* BlueIsHeroic: Wears blue overalls, her caste's color is primarily blue (Navy blue, to be exact), and she's one of the heroes.
* ChestBurster: Does this to escape Proto-Lana's stomach after being devoured by her in the original story.
* DishingOutDirt: Has the ability to control earth.
* FusionDance: Has the honor of being among the first of the sisters to fuse with another sister, in this case with Lola. However, due to her insecurity and inferiority complex formed after the Proto-Lola arc, she's initially hesitant to go through with it.
* HeavenlyBlue: Blue's her primary color, and while in her angel [[spoiler: and goddess]] form she clearly conveys a divine aura.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: There are a couple of hints that she's developed something like this since the Proto-Lola arc, which has driven her to try and face off against her counterpart on her own, without relying on Lola or anybody else. She seems to get over it by the end of the arc, though, [[spoiler: Leading to the creation of Lala.]]
* IWorkAlone: Takes this attitude during the majority of the Proto-Lana arc, due to her [[InferioritySuperiorityComplex complex]] making her believe she needs to do things alone in order to prove herself.
* LeaveHimToMe: Has this feeling towards her prototype counterpart in her arc. However, unlike most examples of this trope, the trope isn't in place because of it being [[ItsPersonal personal]] between the duo (Well, not at first anyway). Instead, Lana holds this attitude due to a belief that she needs to prove herself as someone who can fight on her own ''without'' the need of Lola's help.
* MyGreatestFailure: Let's just say she's not very proud of the fact she walked out of the beauty pageant mere moments before things went to hell in there. In fact, this forms the basis for her SuperiorityInferiorityComplex/IWorkAlone attitude in the next arc.
* OddFriendship: Out of all the Loud sisters that aren't Lori or Leni, she happens to be the one to hold the closest relationship with Carol, with the sentiment being shared by the cross-casted teenager.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: One too many tantrums from Lola in the beauty pageant arc causes Lana to up and quit the building and the pageant overall, refusing to deal with her sister's competitive nature any longer. Then the rest of the arc happens, and this becomes her greatest failure afterwards.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: She can supposedly do this, but when she tries it with the Loud household pets, it doesn't work. Until the end of the Proto-Lana arc, that is.

[[folder: Lola Loud/Jophiel]]
The third oldest of the younger set. She's a girly girl who likes beauty pageants.
* AnArmAndALeg: She loses her left arm at the end of the Proto-Lola Arc, as consequence of her final attack against her counterpart.
* AngelicTransformation: Goes through one of these while assimilating the energy of all available members of her caste in order to become Jophiel, and use it to defeat Proto-Lola once and for all.
* BreakTheHaughty: Oh boy, she may've been a prideful brat, but the beauty pageant incident in the original story does a number on her mind. And the reboot doesn't go any easier on her.
* CompetitionFreak: She's so focused on the beauty pageant that serves as the basis of the Proto-Lola arc, that she practices solely for it, ignoring both the existing danger of the Proto-Sisters and the suspicious nature of the pageant, though she does wise up... a little too late.
* DeathOrGloryAttack: Her attack after turning into "Jophiel" is essentially this; Proto-Lola had jobbed pretty much everybody else who tried attacking her, so if Lola's attack didn't hit hard enough to convince Proto-Lola to leave, or worse, didn't work at all, it would've been the end. Luckily, Proto-Lola becomes satisfied enough to let everybody go for the moment.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Despite ''knowing'' that the progenitors are a thing, and that her counterpart is out and about ready to strike her, Lola focuses solely on practicing for an upcoming beauty pageant, without even taking a single moment to practice her powers. Naturally, this backfires on her.
* [[DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength Does Not Know Her Own Strength]]: Due to not training her powers, she obviously doesn't know how much strength she's using at a time. So when she throws a shard at a reflection in the crystallized building, she throws it hard enough to make it bounce all over the place until it hits Proto-Lola's reflection.
* EyeBeams: Uses these against [[spoiler: Proto-Lola]] in a BeamOWar. [[spoiler: She wins.]]
* FusionDance: Has the honor of being the first sister to actually fuse with another sister, in this case with Lana.
* GemstoneAssault: As this is her caste's main ability, it should come as no surprise that she can do this. However, due to her inexperience with her powers, she winds up misusing them and ''crystallizes the whole beauty contest building'' after she gets angry enough.
* GemTissue: Her [[spoiler: Goddess form]] onwards sports a crystal on her forehead.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Her constantly ignoring Lana's warnings about the beauty contest, and also being solely focused on the contest and nothing else, gets so much on Lana's nerves that the tomboy decides to just up and quit.
* LightIsGood: Can use the "Diamond Flash," which is her forming a diamond shape with her arm and release a bright light from it, and she's one of the good guys.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Wears a pink dress, heck she in general has pink as her color motif, and she's one of the more feminine sisters.
* SkewedPriorities: Simply put, she puts far more focus on the [[spoiler: bogus]] beauty pageant set up by [[spoiler: Proto-Lola]] rather than training with her family. This is then deconstructed because, once the trap is revealed, Lola can't do anything but listen as her counterpart [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech chastises and mocks her]] for not even bothering to practice her caste's abilities.

[[folder: Lisa Loud]]
Second youngest of the younger set of sisters. She's a toddler with the intellect of a genius.
* ADayInTheLimelight: "Caste Examination" focuses on her investigating about the various powers each of her sister's castes possess, at Lincoln's request.
* ReedRichardsIsUseless: Like in canon, Lisa has shown the capacity to create some impressive machinery and weaponry. ''Un''like canon, not only is this technology mostly useless against beings like the proto-sisters, but she ''[[SubvertedTrope did]]'' try to get one of the designs sold, only for it to be rejected.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: Unlike the other skeptical sisters, who decided to start training after seeing a bit more evidence of the proof of the original reality, Lisa ourights leaves the whole situation with Lily before things get any weirder.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lily Loud]]
The youngest of the sisters, being just a baby.
* BabiesMakeEverythingBetter
* LivingMacguffin: The Lana caste chapter in "Caste Examination" implies that the Lincolnism group wants something to do with her.
* SayMyName: Shouts Lisa's name as Luna takes her away from Lisa, believing it was too dangerous to leave her with her.
* OutOfFocus: Granted, Lisa also suffers from this too, but it's even more notable with Lily because unlike Lisa, who at least gets some focus every now and then, Lily's... just there, most of the time.
