6	The eventually eponymous hero. Charo is a loud girl, playful and is always willing to start a new adventure. She refuses to go anywhere without her ‘sunshine shoes’. She’ll do anything to encourage her best friend, Alesea. She’ll do anything for her and her brother, Anselmo.

8	One day, she comes across a daffodil hairpin displayed at the window of a shop for £3. One encounter with a Toxic Seed later, she discovers it allows her to transform into a superhero. She takes on the name Dame Daffodil and devotes herself to fighting monsters and saving people (more than she already was, at any rate).
