[[folder:In General]]
* BadassFamily: The Shishigami are the uppercrust of their organization, consisting of the Yamato Family and their closest associates.
* MeaningfulName: Kamigari means, "god slayers".
* NameToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Most of the world's governments are terrified of them, due to Ouken's power alone. Tenbi and Venus are the only two factions capable of opposing them.
* NebulousEvilOrganization: They exist within the shadows of modern society and are known only to a select few, such as the faculty at Tenbi Academy and Venus. While it's known that Ouken plans to break the seal atop Amanohara, his reasons for doing so remain unclear...
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections: They have influence within the Tenbi region's government, and use their connections to carry out their hidden agenda.

[[folder:Takeru Yamato]]
[[quoteright:261:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yamato_mug.png]]
Himegami's uncle looms over the series as its main antagonist and originally created the Kamigari for the purpose of killing the ancients gods, to obtain their powers. Centuries have passed since he was defeated and slain by his nephew, Yabiko. Yet, Takeru's spirit lingers by possessing those of his bloodline, and the countless clones he's created. Simply put: he refuses to ''stay'' dead.
----
* AdaptedOut: He's a main antagonist in the manga, yet you'll never see him in the anime.
* AintTooProudToBeg:
** Just as Takeru is about to kill him, Yamato tries begging for his life by promising to spare Takeru and his friends. Takeru doesn't buy it and tells Yamato he's already blown any chances for mercy, or forgiveness.
** After finding himself imprisoned alone in [[spoiler: the total darkness of the Ama no Iwato seal]], he tries pleading with his niece to release him. She refuses and says it's only right that a soulless man like him should languish away in a soulless realm - especially since [[LaserGuidedKarma he, himself]], slew all the gods who once inhabited it. Then adds that [[SadisticChoice if he doesn't like it]], he can simply kill himself by letting his soul fade away.
* ArchEnemy:
** To the entire Himegami Family, whom he antagonized ages ago which began when he slew his own brother to get to his wife, Yatsuno, in order to obtain her power. Yamato then pursued his niece and nephew, but wound up being slain by Yabiko. Over 2,000 years have passed, leaving Himegami as the sole remaining member of her family and one of the few with [[KryptoniteFactor the power]] to oppose her uncle.
** He's also made an enemy of Takeru Oyama who, as fate would have it, is a distant descendant of Yabiko. Takeru also takes issue with Yamato for targetting Tenbi Academy, made worse when Yamato abducts Ms. Aki to [[VirginSacrifice sacrifice her]] to the Ama no Iwato seal.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Yamato has been around since ancient times and has used it to study the 8 Original Maken, so he's already well-aware of each of their abilities. He can also deduce the abilities of any other Maken, so long as he's seen it used enough times. Which is why Kai's "Rental Gift" was rendered useless, because Yamato [[SoLastSeason had already seen]] each of the Maken abilities Kai had borrowed and determined he was little more than [[NotNowKiddo a nuisance.]]
* BreathWeapon: It's his signature ability. Whatever he says goes. So if he tells something to break, it breaks, which is how Ouken was able to split the ocean in two. Or he can choose to '''DESTROY!!''' the target, resulting in [[KamehameHadoken a massive blast of energy]] fired directly from his mouth!
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: Presumably a side-effect of his soul-manipulating power, as he didn't have them as a youngster before awakening his full potential. Either way, they perfectly represent his total lack of any sort of empathy or morals.
* BodyBackupDrive: His powers allow his soul to go into another person's body after his death, but suffer damage to his spirit if the vessel isn't compatible. To deal with this, he cloned himself over and over again so that he can instantly have a ready body after the death of his current one. [[GrandTheftMe He does this even with clones who possess minds of their own]].
* BodySurf: After his current body is destroyed, his soul can survive on its own and possess somebody else, though it put a strain on himself if they're not related to him.
* CallingYourAttacks: Noted in the BreathWeapon entry.
* ChekhovsGun: Despite his crushing defeat from Takeru (chapter 57), the first time Yamato actually shows sign of concern is during chapter 86, when Idaten informs him that Yan-Min was somehow using [[spoiler: White Element]]. It becomes important only twelve chapters later (see KryptoniteFactor).
* CloningGambit: To make full use of his BodySurf ability, he has been producing countless clones of himself to make sure he always has a spare body to inhabit once he's killed. Which makes him basically unkillable no matter how many of his bodies are destroyed by the heroes. To add to this, he makes use of his clones as elite warriors in his army through genetic engineering or putting souls he's stolen from others and modified into them.
* CreepyUncle: Yamato hasn't let the fact that Himegami is his niece hinder his desire for her, especially now that he's seen [[ShesAllGrownUp how she's grown]]. The moment he got her alone, he immediately pinned her on the ground and tried to rape her. Thankfully, the ''other'' Takeru was there to stop him.
* DeadAllAlong: Which is part of the reason Gouken's death was pointless. Takeru killed him just to vent his frustrations at the one who was possessing him, who was dead to begin with. So Takeru Yamato didn't care.
* DeathIsCheap: Plus, if you kill off one of his hosts, he'll just hop into the next one and come back stronger than before.
* DevourTheDragon: He steals Otohime's soul during the attack on Tenbi, since he no longer needed her, or her research.
* DidntSeeThatComing: Throughout the final battle, he was convinced that he had nothing to fear so long as he kept Takeru Oyama from getting near him. So when Takeru finally cornered him and was about to strike the final blow, Yamato fled by projecting his soul outside of his physical body. He completely forgot that his niece [[spoiler: could do it too, not realizing he had just played right into her hands]]. Whoops.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Everything he's ever done has been for his own gain, including [[spoiler: murdering his brother and his brother's wife]]. So he couldn't understand why Takeru and the others were willing to risk themselves defending his niece, since she was [[spoiler: already dead]].
* EvilUncle: To his deceased nephew (Yabiko) and his niece, Kodama, who has taken it upon herself to avenge her family by personally putting an end to her uncle.
* FamilialBodySnatcher: He can technically possess anyone he wants, but it put a massive strain on his soul unless they're biologically related to him. To work around this, he both [[ReallyGetAround impregnated as many women as he could]] and, after possessing his modern-day descendant Ouken, began to mass-produce clones of himself. Thus giving him both an army and a steady amount of replacement bodies.
* FateWorseThanDeath: Yamato finally gets what he wanted: eternal life, but not in the way he imagined it. [[spoiler: When he abandoned his body in a desperate attempt to save himself from Takeru's final attack, Himegami returned to spirit form to drag her uncle's soul to the Ama no Iwato seal. The same barrier that confined her for over 2,000 years. Except how, it's an empty void without another living soul since he, himself slew the gods who once inhabited it. Himegami tells him it's a fitting end for a soulless man like him and leaves her uncle with a SadisticChoice: Either end his own life, or resign himself to languish in total darkness and isolation for eternity. It isn't said which one Yamato chooses, but the closing narration says he was never seen again]].
* FinalBoss: After Ouken is defeated by Himegami, Yamato becomes the main threat to Takeru and the heroes.
* GreaterScopeVillain: For much of the series, we're lead to believe that Ouken is the main villain, until we finally learn that he's been dead all along. His corpse was simply being animated by Takeru Yamato.
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: After more than 2,000 years of waiting, he finally gets his hands on Himegami; "they key" he needed to break the seal atop Amanohara. Except he blew it, because the first thing he decided to do, was to try to rape her.
* HeroKiller:
** He's responsible for the murder of Himegami's parents[[note]]who were Yamato's own younger brother, Oouso no Mikoto and his brother's wife, Yatsuno, who was the reincarnated [[{{Orochi}} Yamato no Orochi]] in human form[[/note]] over 2,000 years prior to the start of the manga's main story. And he's also the one who kills Inaho's father, Tesshin.
** During the final battle (chapters 119-123), Yamato also kills [[spoiler: all of Himegami's shikigami; including Igazuchi, Kagezuchi, and Himegami's parents (again)]]. He also nearly succeeds in killing Usui as well.
* {{Irony}}: Threefold, since his lone opposition not only shares the same name as himself, but Takeru also happens to be the spitting image of the man who killed him ages ago (Yabiko Yamato), and possesses the exact same ability [[spoiler: Blood Pointer]].
* KryptoniteFactor: Because of Yamato's inherent nature, his Element is "Black" by default, which makes him vulnerable to [[LightEmUp "White" Element.]] However, the ability to use it is exceedingly rare, as there are only four known ability users who can[[note]]according to Love Espada[[/note]]: his niece (Kodama), Inaho, Yan-Min, and Takeru Oyama.
* LaserGuidedKarma: For over two millennia, Yamato and slew the gods, including the ones who dwelled in the sacred seal atop Amanohara. The lone survivor was his niece, Kodama, who Yamato relentlessly pursued for her Orochi blood, in order to break the seal. And just after attaining all that he sought, [[spoiler: his niece confines his spirit inside the Ama no Iwato seal which is now an endless, empty, void. A literal Hell of his own making]].
* AManIsAlwaysEager: His first act, upon reviving from his injuries, is to grab a concubine who happened to be in the room. Then gropes and fingers her to orgasm, before instructing Miyabi to bring him more of his women.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Ouken Yamato was well-aware that Takeru Yamato's spirit resided within his body, but Ouken's will was strong enough to keep Takeru from taking him over. So he was forced to bide his time, 'til Ouken's lifeforce finally expired.
* MortalityPhobia: In chapter 105, Takeru asks Yamato why he's so obsessed with trying to gain immortality. Yamato confesses it's because he's seen what awaits him once he finally dies: [[spoiler: nothing]]. The thought of it has terrified him [[AwfulTruth ever since he's seen it]] with his own eyes, which why he ultimately merges with [[spoiler: the Orochi itself]].
* MyDeathIsOnlyTheBeginning: ...because it hasn't stopped him from coming back and only delayed his plans by over 2,000 years.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He tends to make grand speeches about wanting to become a god so that he can use his soul manipulating powers [[SuperSupremacist to give Ability Users a utopia where they would rule over the normal people and be able to live in peace]]. But the truth is that he want supreme power because he's [[MortalityPhobia deeply paranoid about someone managing to permanently kill him]] and desire to get rid of any threats, be they normal people ''or'' Ability Users.
* ParentalIncest: The guy tried to rape his own niece in front of her friends, just to humiliate her and piss Takeru off. Thankfully, he failed on the first two counts. But he ''did'' succeed with the last one (enraging Takeru).
* ReallyGetsAround: In more ways than one, from banging countless concubines over the centuries, to [[GrandTheftMe body-snatching his own offspring]] and his clones.
* SadisticChoice: Seeing that Tesshin had been prepared to throw his life away to defy him, Takeru told him he'd not only kill him, but [[spoiler: Yuuka]] as well. Making it a point to emphasize how he'd toy with her first and that she wouldn't be a match for him. On the other hand, he'd spare both their lives and even let the girl go... provided Tesshin swore his obedience to him. [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse Tesshin concedes.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: Yamato has a major one during his final moments, [[OhCrap once the realization set in]] that he was soon to die, despite finally attaining godhood. He rants that he can't understand why he's always been obsessed with his niece, why every time he's tried to kill her, someone always intervenes on her behalf. As the fight nears its conclusion, he demands to know why [[spoiler: Oosuo's spirit he had returned from death to defend his daughter, instead of him]]. Nor could he understand why all the students and faculty at Tenbi and Venus [[EnergyDonation were loaning their Element]] to Takeru.
* WeHaveReserves: He's homegrown dozens of clone bodies for himself and [[ReallyGetsAround has fathered just as many children.]] So no matter what happens to any of them, or how many of them die, he's got plenty to fall back on.
* WhatMeasureIsAMook: Noted in the DeathIsCheap and [[WeHaveReserves I Have Reserves]] entries.
%%* WhyWontYouDie
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Exemplified by the fact that he's drained the souls of even his most loyal and powerful minions, without hesitation, once he no longer needs them. Particularly during chapter 85 when he takes the souls of [[spoiler: Espada, Sorano, Sui, ''and'' Otohime]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ouken Yamato]]
The leader of the Kamigari, head of the Yamato Family, and the series' [[BigBad main antagonist]], until his death. Despite being hundreds of years in age, Ouken's strength and fighting capability have only grown stronger with time. Minori's father was said to have been an obstacle to him, and his daughter is one of the few he's ever acknowledged as an equal. Regardless, he has no sentiment towards her and sees Minori as another obstacle in his quest for ultimate power. To that end, he seeks to capture Himegami, as her Orochi blood makes her "The Key" to breaking the seal atop Amanohara.
----
* AuraVision: An ability he shares in common with Minerva, making him the only other person who's capable of seeing what Himegami actually looks like. Which is how he knew [[spoiler: the real Himegami had died long ago, since all that was left of her, was her Element]].
* BigBad: Or so we were lead to believe, until Himegami finished him.
* BreakThemByTalking: Ouken tried to demoralize Takeru by telling him [[ThatManIsDead the truth about Himegami.]]
* DirtyOldMan: Unlike most geezers, Ouken wasn't content to just look, or cop a feel. He had his own harem of concubines, ranging from their late teens to early 20s and he was [[SexGod shagging]] '''[[ReallyGetsAround ALL]]''' [[SexSlave of 'em]]; including [[spoiler: Yuuka Amado]][[note]]she temporarily agreed to be one of his concubines, to spare Takaki the same fate (chapter 48)[[/note]].
* DiscOneFinalBoss: Ouken had been possessed the entire time by [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]'s spirit, who was animating his corpse. The damage he sustained from Himegami's final attack was irreparable, causing [[spoiler: Takeru]] to finally abandoned Ouken's body, to highjack Gouken's.
* TheDreaded: Yomatsuri and the rest of Tenbi's government live in fear of him, because of his "Soul Collector" ability. But they're well aware that they'd be powerless against him even without it. Leo also confided to Takeru that his fear of Ouken is what's kept him from defecting to Tenbi.
* EvilOldFolks: Ouken was able to defeat four '''A class''' ability users at once during a sparring session, parted the ocean by shouting at it, threw a slab of rock like a frisbee and rode it across ocean, and was the first of only two people who's ever been able to defeat Minori[[note]]though Aki said it was because Minori had been weakened at the time[[/note]]. The old man was serious business.
* GodhoodSeeker: That was his aspiration, which is believed to have been why he sought to reawaken the Orochi.
* ImplacableMan: Ouken's latent Element was so powerful, that bullets fired at point-blank range couldn't touch him and enabled him to keep fighting even after taking some of Minori's most powerful attacks.
* ReallyGetsAround: Chapter 32 begins with [[SexyDiscretionShot a veiled shot]] of him banging one of his concubines so hard, that the force of his thrusts was shaking the guardian statue outside the bedchamber. By the next page, he's done. An entire harem is seen collapsed in exhaustion.
* SexGod: Noted in the preceding entry. Suffice to say, the Old Man's still got it.
* TheUnseen: Ouken doesn't make an appearance in the anime and only gets a brief mention, despite being the series' main antagonist.
* UnwittingPawn: To [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]. The moment Ouken touched the SoulJar, it allowed him to enter Ouken's body and bide his time until his death. The moment he passed away, [[spoiler: Takeru]] took over.
* WhamLine: Delivered at the end of chapter 49, in [[BreakThemByTalking an attempt to demoralize Takeru:]]
-->'''Ouken: (at Takeru)''' [[EvilCannotComprehendGood "I don't understand]] -- Why are you helping that girl? She isn't even a human. She's nothing but [[spoiler: a doll. That body is made of [[DeadAllAlong what's left of the real Kodama Himegami]]]]."
** At that point, their battle was suspended by a 4 chapter flashback mini-arc, revealing how Himegami was eventually confined within the seal atop Amanohara, and [[spoiler: died after her body gradually dissolved over the next 2,000 years. The girl Takeru and the others knew as Himegami was simply her Element, which had taken metaphysical form in her likeness]].
* WhatMeasureIsAMook: He incinerated 4 of his own people during a sparring session, for no other reason than to test his might.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]] couldn't understand why Takeru and the others would bother defending [[spoiler: "a doll" of a girl who had already died ages ago]]. It backfired beautifully, when Takeru responded [[CurbstompBattle by beating]] [[TrueCompanions a friendship speech]] into him.
* YourSoulIsMine: "Soul Collector" is how he sustains himself after taking injury. By feasting on other souls, he fully recovers while killing the victim. But he can also use it to take control of their minds or alter their memories.

[[folder:Otohime Yamato]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YoshinoNanjo (Japanese), Creator/CarrieSavage (English)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/otohime_yamato_37010.jpg]]
The granddaughter of Ouken Yamato, who serves as the series' first real antagonist. She's also the first to truly make Takeru question his belief that girls need protecting, by showing that women can be just as cruel as men. Otohime is spoiled and sociopathic, often treating others as pawns, or as guinea pigs in her experiments. The only one she has any genuine affection for is her twin brother, Gouken.
----
* BigBrotherWorship: Otohime refers to Gouken as, "Onii-sama" and has absolute faith in her twin brother's abilities. But was surprised when he found out his powers had limitations.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: {{Subverted}}, since it didn't take long for her to show her true colors.
* DaddysLittleVillain: Make that grandad's, otherwise the trope is played straight.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Seen at the beginning of chapter 54, when she's about to be punished by Haruko. Otohime told Haruko to do her worst, as she refused to tell her how to free the islanders from her control.
* DemotedToExtra: In the anime, Otohime suffers a worse case of it than Himegami. She [[BitCharacter only makes two appearances]] and, by season 2, she's completely forgotten about.
* TheDragon: She served under her grandfather as the next highest-ranking member of the Shishigami, despite her young age. She retains her position after her grandfather's death, now serving as [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]'s second-in-command.
* ElegantGothicLolita: Otohime dresses the part of the {{proper lady}}, from her ruffled dark dress and black hair ribbon, to her matching parasol - contrasting with Himegami's style, which is more [[OfCorsetsSexy the seductress.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Kodama Himegami:
** They're both short and semi-flatchested, which makes them sensitive about their breasts. Both have twin-tails, except Otohime's are larger, and they dress in gothic lolita fashion.
** Above all, despite their outward appearances, neither one is human. Himegami is [[spoiler: what's left of the original's Element, in corporeal form]], whereas Otohime is a clone of [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]. Making it a {{justified}} example, since he made a copy of his own niece.
* HumiliationConga: After more than 40 chapters, she finally got was coming to her when Haruko put Otohime across her knee and spanked her, while [[TheGadfly Yuuka]] got it all on film] By the time Haruko's done, Otohime is shown passed out with smoke rising from her freshly tanned backside.
* IHaveYourWife: After Yuuka falls into her trap, Otohime has Love Espada publicly notify Tenbi the following day at the festival. Then taunts Minori and the others by showing them.
* JerkassHasAPoint: When Minori threatens her for holding Yuuka hostage, Otohime counters by telling her it was their own fault for sending Yuuka to spy on them. And also deduces that Maken-ki assumed it wouldn't matter if they lost the competition, since they tried to set a trap for them.
* KilledMidsentence: Done right as she was assuring Takeru Yamato that she'd find a way to reinforce the brainwashing on Espada on the others. Except [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness he no longer cared.]]
* ManipulativeBitch: She showed up for the Himekagura Festival, knowing Tenbi would try to follow her, in hopes of finding her new lair and [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]'s location. Yuuka falls into their trap, where Otohime explained that Love Espada and the other third-year students were under her control. And later explains to Miyabi, that she's been using them sparingly to ensure the mind control holds, until the integration process is complete.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: She initially comes across as comically inept, but she has one of the deadliest Maken abilities in the series. Plus, she's incredibly shrewd and manipulative.
* OhCrap: She talks big so long as she has her brother, or her minions to hide behind. But once Celia took them out of the picture, she knew her ass was grass.
* ParasolOfPrettiness: Kept on her person at all times as part of her gothic lolita image.
* [[MeatPuppet Puppet Master]]: Dollhouse's special ability is "Glooming Garden", which bends the victim to Otohime's will, with a miniature mannequin of them. Anyone that steps within her Dollhouse's {{area of effect}} becomes hers to control. And any pain she inflicts on the victim's "doll" is magnified several times over, which is how she effortlessly broke Sho's arm.
* RedBaron: She's known as Otohime [[ManipulativeBitch "The Manipulator".]]
* RichBitch: Otohime's haughtiness and her style of dress reflect her family's status and her upbringing.
* TheSociopath: People are playthings to her, which is epitomized by her Maken ability. She deliberately goaded Sho into picking a fight with her as an excuse to torment him. While in chapter 48, [[EvilGloating she gloated]] about how she enslaved the locals of Okino island.
* SpoiledBrat: She's quick to flaunt that she's Ouken's granddaughter to intimidate anyone who crosses her, or gets in the way of her "fun".
* ThisCannotBe: Her Maken usually makes her untouchable, once she has control of the victim. She never imagined anyone could break free of it and still come after her.
* TomatoInTheMirror: According to Akaya's intel, Otohime and Gouken aren't really Ouken's grandchildren. They're clones created by [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]] [[GrandTheftMe for the purpose of inhabiting]], to perpetuate his own existence.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gouken Yamato]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YutoSuzuki (Japanese), Creator/ToddHaberkorn (English)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gouken_yamato_37016.jpg]]
Otohime's fraternal twin brother and Ouken's grandson. Unlike his sister, he's reserved, rarely losing his composure. He usually accompanys her, in the capacity of an observer. But proves to be a formidable hand-to-hand combatant and ability user, should the need arise. According to Leo, Gouken's ability is believed to be somewhere between '''A''' and '''S rank'''.
----
* BadassAbnormal: He was proficient enough in martial arts and Element manipulation that he could face multiple A and S-rank Maken users, while unarmed. A feat matched only by Inaho's father, [[BarefistedMonk Tesshin.]]
* CasualDangerDialogue: You know a guy's cool under pressure, when he's about to be crushed by a giant can of [[BlandNameProduct "Red Bell"]] and his only reaction is {{dull surprise}}.
-->'''Chacha: (hefting big ass can)''' "I included a special gift and filled this can with rocks!! Not even you'll be able to withstand ''[[DodgeThis this one]]'', Element-kun!!!"
-->'''Gouken: ([[TheComicallySerious monotone]])''' "I agree. That might kill me."
* CharacterDeath: By way of one of the [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown most brutal beatings ever.]]
* FinalBoss: At the end of the Okino Island arc, he becomes the final opponent [[spoiler: Takeru]] has to face.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Aside from a brief tussle with Haruko and Azuki, he really didn't get to do much. That changed once [[spoiler: [[BigBad Takeru Yamoto]]]]'s spirit took over his body, briefly catapulting him to the position of main antagonist.
* GrandTheftMe: Among the dozens of clones [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]] created, Gouken and Otohime were the two he had the greatest compatibility with. Since Otohime is frail, he eventually chose Goken.
* HijackedByGanon: Noted in the preceding pair of entries.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: After [[spoiler: Himegami]] sacrificed herself, in order to save him, Takeru became so enraged that he beat Gouken to death, heedless of the fact that he was possessed by [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]] and despite Leo's attempts to pull Takeru off of him. By the time he was done, Gouken was no longer recognizable and had literally been beaten into a crater.
* OneManArmy: In chapter 42, he was able to take on [[AmazonianBeauty Azuki, Chacha]], and Uruchi ''without the aid of a Maken'', even though they were using theirs.
* PowerNullifier: Gouken has the inherent ability to cancel any Element based attacks used against him. However, he hadn't been aware that there was a limit to how much he could nullify, until he burned his hand by canceling out Murakumo.
* SharpDressedMan: He's always neatly dressed in a shirt and necktie to complement [[ElegantGothicLolita his sister's attire.]]
* SiblingYinYang: While his sister is cruel and relies on manipulating others, Gouken is direct; favoring unarmed combat through use of his Elemental abilities.
* SilentBob: The only meaningful dialog he ever had was when he explained how his sister's Maken worked. Beyond that, he barely spoke more than two words, here and there.
* TomatoInTheMirror: The same as his sister. Unfortunately for him, he was the one that got chosen.
* WhatASenselessWasteOfHumanLife: Leo tried explaining that killing Gouken wasn't what [[spoiler: Himegami]] would've wanted him to do. Nor would it serve any purpose since, [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]] was already dead and simply move on to a new body. Takeru refused to listen and still did it anyway. And once it was done, he found Leo was right. It changed nothing. Gouken had simply been a victim of Takeru's frustration.
