!Player Party

[[folder:Party as a Whole]]
* DarkSecret: Wil encouraged all players to come up with dark secrets about their characters that only they know. For instance, [[spoiler:Lemley's body was damaged much more by the explosion than she lets on, while S'lethkk occasionally talks to the "entity" that granted him magic and that he worships as a god]].
* CharacterLevel: The entire party gets their first on-screen level-up at the start of episode 3, and another one in episode 7.
* ExperiencedProtagonist: The party has already gone on several adventures together as the story begins.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Lemley is Sanguine, S'lethkk is Melancholic, Aankia is Phlegmatic, and Kiliel is Choleric.
* PunchClockHero: They are reluctant to do anything unless payment is involved. This is especially true of Kiliel and Aankia who, in the wake of an explosion, tries to loot a body that isn't even dead yet. [[spoiler:They only grudgingly are persuaded to help save the world in episode six.]]
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: Parent deaths, childhood traumas, and general lack of friends seems to be the norm in the party.
* SecretLegacy: [[spoiler:All four party members are eventually revealed to be descendants of the ancient heroes who ended the Chaos Wars.]]
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: An inverted example, where S'lethkk is the only male (though the players consist of an even split).
* ThickerThanWater: All of the player characters' long term goals seem tie to their respective families in some way: Aankia seeks revenge for the death of her father, Kiliel wants to support her family shop and to meet her DisappearedDad, Lemley tries to discover who her real parents were, and S'lethkk desires to mend his relationship with his half-brother.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aankia]]
->Played by: Creator/HankGreen

A saurian rogue out for revenge.

* ActionGirl: Granted, it's a little hard to tell as a saurian, but Aankia is indeed a blaster-wielding action girl.
* TheCynic: Is very suspicious of many that they meet including Voss and Runcible even after they've assisted the party.
* TheGunslinger: Aankia does a lot of damage with her hand blaster.
* FamedInStory: Hank's luck with dice made Aankia a protagonist of literal legends, as he rolled a triple-six ''twice'' over the course of the campaign--a feat not matched by any other player.
* MagneticHero: Technically, the party gathered around Aankia: first, Lemley joined her performer troupe, then S'lethkk started traveling with them, and lastly, Kiliel decided to follow them when they stopped by her parents' shop. Still, Aankia's personality is more of an IneffectualLoner, so she is definitely not TheLeader of the group.
* StickyFingers: Aankia will basically attempt to steal anything that seems valuable.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Hank describes her as being unwilling to take friends, but once she's decided you're a friend? She's unshakable.
* YouKilledMyFather: Her long-term goal is to find those responsible for the destruction of her father's business and his subsequent death.
* WrenchWench: Aankia shapes up to be this. She has built a self-aware robot from spare parts and her repairing skills have literally become a legend by repairing Keggy with style!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kiliel]]
->Played by: Alison Haislip

An half-elven, half-dwarven archer.

* ActionGirl: Wields a triple longbow.
* DisappearedDad: Kiliel never met her dwarf father, so her overarching goal is to meet him.
* FieryRedhead: Kiliel is a feisty girl with long red hair.
* KleptomaniacHero: Kiliel's first action in the game is to start picking pockets.
* MeaningfulName: Kiliel's name could possibly be an amalgamation for [[Film/TheHobbit Kili and Tauriel]]. This might actually be a StealthPun, however.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Half-elf, half-dwarf.
* TheSneakyGal[=/=]StealthExpert: Kiliel has the highest stealth bonus of the entire party.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Kiliel has some alchemical skills, allowing her to use explosive concoctions as weapons.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lemley]]
->Played by: Creator/LauraBailey

A 17-year-old human warrior WalkingTheEarth.

* ActionGirl: Wields a heavy blaster and a BladeBelowTheShoulder.
* ApologeticAttacker: In episode 10, [[spoiler:when she almost kills Aankia under Dhawan's influence]], she keeps apologizing even as she attacks.
* ArtificialLimbs: Lemley lost her right arm and leg to the same explosion that killed her adoptive parents, so she has cyber-limbs to replace them.
* TheBigGuy: The strongest and the best in melee combat.
* TheDitz: Routinely makes illogical conclusions owing to her intelligence modifier of 0.
* DumbMuscle: Downplayed. Her intelligence modifier is 0, which means she has an average intelligence, but it still makes her the dumbest character in the party... and she is already the strongest one. Unlike most examples of this trope, she combines it with a [[TheDitz a ditzy, bubbly]] personality.
-->'''GM''': Make an intelligence roll.\
'''Lemley''': Aw man!
* HappilyAdopted: By her Saurian adoptive parents. [[spoiler: The revelation that they kidnapped her as a baby casts a dark shadow on this, however...]]
* TheHeart: Lemley tries to be this to the rest of the group.
* ICallHerVera: Lemley's BladeBelowTheShoulder is named "Dr. Lobotomy"--it actually says so on the blade itself.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: This seems to be a SignatureMove on her part. A battle often ends with body parts hanging off of Dr. Lobotomy.
* MightyGlacier: Has the lowest Speed but, as the token melee fighter of the group, also the highest Defense, Armor, and Strength of the entire party.
* MysteriousParent: Lemley's biological parents seem to have had some very scary, very dark past.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: Whatever Lemley thinks immediately comes out of her mouth.
-->'''Lemley''': You're old, can you read this?
* TheRival: Lemley has one in Holsig the dwarf.
* SelfMadeOrphan: Having lost her biological parents at a very young age, she was adopted by a saurian couple... who then also died in an explosion caused by ''her'' careless tinkering with an unknown device. She was 14 at the time.
* SuperGullible: She will believe in anything said to her about magic.
* WrongGenreSavvy: When a hologram of their latest employer goes through a wall she thinks he's a ghost. Justified in that this being a science-fantasy game one explanation would be as valid as the other.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:S'lethkk]]
->Played by: Creator/YuriLowenthal

A half-orc/half-saurian student of magic and ancient religions.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: As a half-orc, S'lethkk has been widely mistreated and ostracized by other saurian kids in his youth.
* BattleCry: "I am the storm's fury!" as he unleashes lightning attacks in episode 5.
* ButtMonkey: More Yuri than his character. After stepping in a bucket while trying to sneak up on the Alpha Hellion in Chapter 2 the other players and especially Wil harp on S'lethkk's general incompetence to an exaggerated degree.
* TheFace: S'lethkk seems to take on this role early on, introducing the party and handling the communication.
* InTheHood: S'lethkk's red cape gives him a mysterious aura.
* NonHumanHumanoidHybrid: Half-Orc, Half-Saurian.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Yuri's apparent inability to consistently roll in high numbers. Even the GM keeps rubbing it in, going as far as saying that killing a sewer jackal in episode ''4'' was S'lethkk's first useful action in the game.
* TheOneGuy: The only guy in an all-female party.
* ReligiousBruiser: PlayedWith. S'lethkk is a SquishyWizard but can dish out some serious pain with his magic... which he acquired following a religious experience, although [[spoiler:it's not clear what exactly the entity that he worships is... until episode 9 reveals it as a terrible demonic creature whom S'lethkk disowns, and then seemingly kills in episode 10]].
* ShockAndAwe: Practically all of S'lethkk's magical attacks are lightning-based.
* TheSmartGuy: Has the most knowledge skills and for some reason rolls better on them than on combat rolls.
* SquishyWizard: The party mage has the lowest Defense and Armor scores of the party.
* TookALevelInBadass: Switching out Yuri's dice gave S'lethkk a much-needed boost in rolls.

!Non-Player Characters, Enemies & Sidekicks

[[folder:Jeremy]]
Aankia's robotic sidekick, whom she cobbled together from the remains of her late father's robot performer troupe.

* CatchPhrase: Pretty much everytime Jeremy speaks it's all in catch phrases and one-liners.
* CuteMachines: A pretty adorable little fella. When Hank announced the robot's name, it was greeted with a round of cooing from the other players.
* EyeBeams: Downplayed. Jeremy's eyes project light, so they can double as headlights, but not as weapons.
* GrapplingHookPistol: Aankia builds one into Jeremy in episode 5.
* RobotBuddy: Jeremy clearly has a will of his own (to the point where he is controlled by the GM, as a full NPC, rather than by Hank, as a familiar-like follower would be), but is completely devoted to his owner, acting has her sidekick all the time.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Alvin Voss]]
The CEO of the Voss Group and the most powerful man in Nestora.

* CorruptCorporateExecutive: At least, Aankia believes him to be one. [[spoiler: The end of episode 10 apparently proved her right.]]
* ManInTheMachine: Voss is revealed to be so old, he is permanently strapped into life support, mainly interacting with other people via holograms of himself. There are some indications that he also may be a case of DarkLordOnLifeSupport.
* MysteriousEmployer: To the party. He seems to keep them in the dark about more things than he deigns to tell them. [[spoiler:Like the fact that the reason he and his friends imprisoned Prophet Dhawan instead of [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim just shooting her]] was that she has BornAgainImmortality and killing her would instantly let her loose on Valkana all over again.]]
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Voss is really, really old, even for en elf. [[spoiler:So old, in fact, that he was one of the heroes who ended the Chaos Wars a thousand years ago.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spoiler Character]]
!!Prophet Dhawan
The BigBad of the Chaos Wars, who believed magic and technology should be segregated and waged war upon all of Valkana to make that true. [[spoiler:Is revealed to have been alive in an extradimensional prison for a thousand years.]]

'''Massive spoilers ahead.'''

* BigBad: Of the BackStory and the current campaign.
* BornAgainImmortality: [[spoiler:She taunted the heroes and put up a good fight (although, in retrospect, she could have inflicted a ''lot'' more pain if she took it seriously), but it was all just a ruse: she only wanted them to kill her so she would be reborn on Valkana, free to pursue her old goals.]]
* CompellingVoice: Dhawan seems to be able to control others' minds without even using magic, like when she makes Lemley attack Aankia, her best friend.
* EvilLaugh: Does it throughout the final battle.
* LuckManipulationMechanic: Her aura gives her ability to force an attacker to reroll a ranged attack roll, which she uses to defend against Aankia's 6-stunt-points attack.
* RecliningReigner: When the party first meets the Prophet, she reclines on a comfy couch in the middle of her realm.
* TrashTalk: Fond of it, gloating at the heroes' inability to hit her.
[[/folder]]
