It takes Charlie snapping at Bartholomew for him to take a good look at himself and realise how badly he'd been acting.

Then it's revealed that she's endowed with the ability to give other people good luck, and that she came to Bloor's Academy to watch out for the good endowed children of the Red King. The Bloors don't know any of this about her. In ''Henry and the Guardians of the Lost'' she's revealed to be part of an organisation that tracks down children who were taken forward in time via the Time Twister and sends them to a place where they can be safe and grow again.
173* NiceGirl: Is very warm and kind to others. However, if you cross or anger her, ''watch out''.

181* DespairEventHorizon: Having her hand crushed and cursed broke Dorothy, making her into a shadow of her former self. However, she still wouldn't give the Bloors the fortune they coveted from her, suggesting that she wasn't entirely broken.
182* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Dorothy is described as being dark-haired with pale skin. She looks so mysterious and ghost-like that the children call her 'the dark lady'.
183* HeroicBSOD: After her hand is crushed by [[spoiler: Manfred, her own son]], and cursed by Ezekiel to never work again.
