For a children's musical show aimed at little kids, the music of ''WesternAnimation/TheBackyardigans'' has better production than what you would expect from Nickelodeon. It features a different genre per episode, with at least four songs in each. Virtually every song is SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic (or at least catchy), but here are the highlights.
----
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saDFrs-r8Js Not An Egg]], ''the'' most epic song of "Tale of the Mighty Knights". Being sung by Adam Pascal (A.K.A: Roger from Theatre/{{Rent}} and Theo, the singer who replaced Dewey in [[Film/SchoolOfRock No Vacancy]]) of all people certainly helps.
* Tasha's first solo, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lykJxJUmBqY "Queens Are Never Wrong"]]. Guaranteed to make the listener feel like a queen.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YEc8HD4Vyk "It's All News to Us"]] really brings that Motown vibe home.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul0KyUjU-xA Lady in Pink]] from "International Super Spy", our first real VillainSong, is delightfully jazzy and deliciously evil. And come on, guys, ''Music/CyndiLauper''.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-E01kaxfV8 I Know A Spell]]" is obscenely catchy, but it embodies 80s Pop so perfectly.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d51RA6YH_uQ "I Am Professor Bug"]] is much more catchy than it should be. Pablo's vocals, the instrumental, and then the harmony of the rest as they sing... Wow.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU-fZAuMRQE "I Get Whatever I Want"]], the single super coolest super villain ditty ever! Doesn't it make you think of Dr. Evil?
* "Give Me the Remote!" is literally the best HeroVsVillainDuet. It makes you wonder who will win the battle and get the remote that controls the robots. Spoiler alert, it's Austin.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0Y7fLAXD2Y "Goblin"]], anyone? An epic rock song, with great music and lyrics that fit the Goblin perfectly, sung by '''Austin'''!
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6SJVYmeXUs Get Us What We Want]]" is a perfect example of MoodWhiplash used correctly.
* The song "I Must Be Ready" from the episode "Blazing Paddles" is both catchy and badass, solidifying Uniqua's ActionGirl status. Every song from that episode is great for playing ping-pong to!
* The final song sung by the gang, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quCkk23fpkg a cover of "I Gotta Feeling"]]. What an awesome way to say goodbye.
* “This Is My Song,” an underrated piece from “Flower Power.” Not only is the song catchy, but they manage to work a duel in without being super distracting.
* "Castaways" from the episode of the same name is a relaxing, catchy Bossa nova tune. In fact, it's so good, it went viral in May 2021 ''and'' made it to #1 on Spotify's US Viral Chart.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nenyQz-gBAw I Need a Hand]]" from "Caveman's Best Friend" is an amazing 1950s jazz song that contains some ''very'' sweet lyrics.
