The ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' franchise is chock full of these. One of the main reasons why the games are popular is also credited to how kickass the character {{Leitmotif}}s are.

* First off, all licensed series have their openings and other music for its characters as their own {{Leitmotif}}s, thus they won't be listed here. Many of these are awesome in and of themselves, so see their relevant {{Anime}} sections for those. The Platform/GameBoyAdvance installments put an interesting spin on some of these themes. Whether it's due to software limitations or something else, the songs are incredibly sped up. As a result, you'll hear themes like [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_ocI-7UBzI "Reason"]] from ''Anime/TekkamanBlade'' and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zTOEGnrvko "Last Impression"]] from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamWingEndlessWaltz'' sounding MORE kickass.

The songs of Music/JAMProject are pretty much the incarnation of this trope, having the power to turn just about anything into a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsEsMAxVh2w "Hagane no Messiah"]] ("Messiah of Steel"), the theme of ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden]]'' and the group's first contribution to the franchise.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0TiqIjF-uk "GONG"]] is one of the greatest songs ever made, both in terms of the melody's essence, as well as the context of the song in relationship to ''Alpha 3'' it appears in. [[http://lyricwiki.org/JAM_Project:GONG See the lyrics for yourself]].
* Although it can be argued that [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCE4pHiGTXs "Skill"]] in ''Alpha 2'' is the most popular JAM Project song, used as finale of many of their concerts or used for an encore. Fans have made this powerfully clear in a number of animated music videos made over the years. One powerful example is during the final opening CG scene in ''Alpha 3'', where the Alpha Numbers stare down an impossibly huge numbers of [[Anime/{{Gunbuster}} STMC]], and charging towards and getting buried in an endless swarm of them. The actual music makes this scene look rather doomed and depressing, but overlaying it with the end of "Skill", however, and you absolutely ''cannot'' believe for an instant they aren't going to emerge victorious (or hold back the ManlyTears the end of that song forces from you).
* The ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ Second Super Robot Wars Z: Hakai-hen]]'' gives us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nc0fuy0eGE "Noah"]], while its sequel ''Saisei-hen'' has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqDP6VOoBlc "Hagane no Resistance"]] ("Resistance of Steel"), both EXTREMELY energetic themes for two great games.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZj8iGYx-sw "Wings of the Legend"]] from the ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Second Super Robot Wars Original Generation]]'', combining a slow buildup of a ballad into an epic marching song. Such is the song's popularity that fans are split as to which among this song, "GONG", and "SKILL" can be considered as the group's magnum opus.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZvBcWp5V4w "Shining Storm"]] is an enthusiastic triumphant battle song that will get your blood pumped up for ''Super Robot Wars Original Generation The Moon Dwellers''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzWXWHkr2oA "MAXON"]], the first opening theme for ''The Inspector'', the AnimatedAdaptation of ''Original Generation 2'', and its second opening, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zUFgH8xWXg "Ryuusei Lovers"]].
* The 3-episode ''Original Generation: The Animation'' may not have been great, but at least JAM Project provided [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hbjzmcVZLw "Meikyuu no Prisoner"]] ("Prisoner of the Labyrinth"), later [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHw-TQjMRm0 used]] as its own {{Leitmotif}} in ''Original Generations'' and ''Original Generation Gaiden''. It also comes back during the climactic battle against, of all people, [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Ignis]], in ''2nd Original Generations'' (just the map).
* Beginning the International Era, JAM Project once again gave out an epic piece for ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV'': [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C5oLsInQyA THE EXCEEDER]]. It starts out slow until it reaches epic level of yelling '''"FIIIREEE!! FIIIREEE!! FIIIREEE!!"'''
* ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX'' gives us [[https://youtu.be/CC508YW2bqw Hagane no Warriors]], which plays at the final boss against Hopes as he calls upon all the heroes to power Al-Warth with positive emotions in order to sustain it in one hell of a BatmanGambit.
* For ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsT'', JAM Project gives us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjGIMjQIvK0 Tread on the Tiger's Tail]], another epic piece that encapsulates the hot blooded, energetic battle that Super Robots engage at.
* For the first major update for ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30'', a stage was added, 'Happy 30th Anniversary!' which gives us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DXmM9c2BLQ Concerto Of SRW]], a celebration of their part in Super Robot Wars history.
* The main theme of ''30'', [[https://youtu.be/8okXg2AlQWE Drei Kreuz - Hagane no Survivor]]. The Drei Kreuz' motto of "do what you can, the best you can" holds strong, and they will not falter and keep surviving anything that comes at them with HotBlooded fervor.

[[folder:Classic Timeline]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqYxg2YEuJQ "Toki o Koete"]] ("Transceding Time") is a VERY inspiring heroic piece, and it gets better in its ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars4 Super Robot Wars F/F Final]]'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ8H80DDBC8 remixes]]. In fact, the basic midi version in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars4'' was enough to raise the excitement level by a considerable margin. Here's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgLcaY9X9nI its "orchestral" version]] heard in the ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Second Super Robot Wars Original Generation]]'', and the ''Second Original Generation'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bQu3wLnrxU rock version]]. And ''then'' there's the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgfwyfVZyng 1999 vocal version]] sung at Super Robot Spirits events prior to the formation of JAM Project by a number of JAM's eventual members, which tended to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPMRj0M0cpU light up the crowds like a tinderbox]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1h5TlhwAbA "Violent Battle"]] from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars3'', playing whenever you fight any of the Inspectors. Its evolution from the "[[CompilationRerelease Complete Box]]" [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-muDHgLOIA set]] to the present [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fshEON1kdRE one]] adopted for ''Original Generation'' is simply mesmerizing to the ears.
* When you hear [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrViOUSwP_s "Armageddon"]] from ''3'', you know that you're in for a ride through hell. This is a boss level, and you can expect your units' collective asses to be handed to the boss. Hear also its version from ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QDaAoe9BEU F/F Final]]'' and the one used in ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQQ4DHJWFDo Original Generation]]''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soAO8vdC32E "Genocide Machine"]], default {{Leitmotif}} of the Guests in ''4''. Here's their ''F''/''F Final'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKIF7045UW8 version]] and the ''Second Original Generation'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8HdyK8HqBE version]]. ''Second Original Generation'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t11evbWm-a4 adds]] a BossRemix for the Zeidram, used by both of its pilots in the continuity.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCOacUfMn_o Spore Valley]]" from ''3'' is a hauntingly beautiful tune.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46jKBgtRkcA "The Valsion"]]; ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin, this plays when you fight Bian Zoldark (and other Valsions) and conveys the theme "You're fucked". Compare its later incarnations in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKceR8eNMx0 Complete Box set]] and ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeLv9RKzk6U Original Generation]]''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Alpha Trilogy]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weAW2DaNr9g "Aku o Tatsu Tsurugi"]] (localized as "The Sword That Cleaves/Smites Evil"), {{Leitmotif}} of Sanger Zonvolt. When you hear it, you'll always get the feeling some poor evil chap is going to get cleaved with a [[{{BFS}} very big sword]]. Then there's the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVtmfwWdEBg version]] from the Platform/Nintendo3DS thanks to him participating in ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone''.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFgMBA0lwFE "Gate of Magus"]], Sanger's original theme from ''Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden'', later adopted by Wodan Ymir, his AlternateUniverse counterpart. The image of a desperate struggle between good and evil is conjured into the mind of the listener by the interplay of flute and organ music, with the exchange of blows represented through the cacophonous roar of trumpets and copiously ominous percussion.
** Similarly, Sanger's second {{Leitmotif}}, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrOyTQEJCJY "Sword, Soul, One Strike"]] is so [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgaCMhTxkEg awesome]] it [[BreakingTheFourthWall CLEAVES the fourth wall]] in ''Original Generation 2''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGXXY7oEeCs "Everywhere You Go"]], {{Leitmotif}} of Ryusei Date. This is so awesome that before Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment took over Banpresto, this song was adopted as the developer's OWN {{Leitmotif}}, heard in almost every [=SRW=] installment when the game is booted up. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf5Z7-W8C24 Now with more Masaaki Endoh.]]
* Back in the day when Anime/{{Mazinkaiser}} was an [=SRW=]-exclusive unit, it didn't have the current {{Leitmotif}} from the OVA. However, Banpresto made an exclusive theme song for it. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOld7f15MMo Here]] is the one used in ''Alpha 3'', and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PdQ0mRYAj0 this one]] a vocal version sung by Ichiro Mizuki of Music/JAMProject.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur1FSrICeoY "Marionette Messiah"]], {{Leitmotif}} of Mai Kobayashi and [[EnemyWithin Levi Tolar]], combining both a melancholic theme and pure ass-kicking.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDjENtODa7I "Soul of Steel"]], whenever the SRX appears.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxZ0KpnPEho "Variable Formation"]] (''Original Generation'' version), the theme that plays when the SRX combines.
** The SRX Altered Banpreios' theme [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtTq-6ywzh8 "Battle God of Steel"]] definitely qualifies.
* ''Alpha'' began the trend of adding lyrics to many of the {{Leitmotif}}s. Indeed, simply adding words to an already catchy theme song and people will learn Japanese just to sing along with it. Listen to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdKhN45LNhg "Time Diver"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvsqrsYwIrw "Vanishing Trooper"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbeBB8hlydE "Time to Come"]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOO7cT0ecOI "Ware Koso wa Baran Doban"]] ("I Am Baran Doban"), the theme of the eponymous Ze Balmary Empire's BoisterousBruiser CoolOldGuy.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gY41p_FuTkU "The Arrow of Destiny"]] in ''Alpha'' screams FinalBoss
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjbSDP_na-U "Sleep, In The Depths of the Earth"]] in ''Alpha Gaiden'', when fighting Sophia Nate with the Aurgelmir.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoVgtqzSnLw "Shippu Jinrai"]] ("Swift Wind, Divine Thunder"), Touma Kanou's second {{Leitmotif}} after his [=RaiOh=] receives its MidSeasonUpgrade. You're not officially a [[AMechByAnyOtherName Dynamic General Guardian]] until your theme song is capable doing what it's intended to do.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIEdliO1cdc "Messenger From the Void"]] from ''Alpha''/''Alpha Gaiden'' and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zosMFB0cxg "The Gun of Dis"]] from ''Alpha 3''; although the latter may seem like a "laxy remix" of the former, the significance was mind-blowing back when ''Alpha 3'' was released. The predecessors of both these songs, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7eWeCaKQ-0 "Time Diver"]] in ''Alpha'' and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI7w6_GIAXc "Another Time Diver"]] in ''Alpha 3'' are also made of nostalgic love.
* The first time you hear [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRR5ICOLgak "Crying Survivor"]] in ''Alpha 3'', Selena Recital has just thrown off her disguise...
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBVBGzO3JgI "Shooting Star, Cut Through The Night!"]], {{Leitmotif}} of Ibis Douglas in ''Alpha 2''. It certainly conveys the gentleness and willpower of a certain clumsy CaptainCrash to completely evolve into a kickass pilot who can finally spread her wings and soar high into the sky and reaching her dreams. There's also the remix used after she gets her Hyperion in ''Alpha 2'', [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKA8BAXNUkM "Shooting Star, Cut Through The Night! Ver. H"]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV_ytGGW7zA "Ware ni Teki Nashi"]] ("None Can Oppose Us") for the [=RyuKoOh=]/[=KoRyuOh=] in ''Alpha''. You can simply feel the vibe of awesomeness from two reawakened mechanical gods in the form of a dragon and tiger, bringing justice against extraterrestrial invaders. Then there's its ''Alpha 3'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvTFS2NQOzY version]] for the Shin [=RyuKoOh=]/[=KoRyuOh=], suitably epic for the [[TheFourGods final form incorporating all four gods]]. Its [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEU5g7noTpQ vocal version]] is even better.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkwtHTZ_uxQ "The Soul of Alpha"]] plays whenever TheCavalry arrives in ''Alpha 3''.
* [[http://youtu.be/WP99-D-VRCM "Twin Icon"]], the theme of the Nashim Gan Eden and by extension Irui.
* So much attention is paid to "epic" tracks that the less glamorous mood music is always ignored, such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvULqkIPAf4 "What Lies Before The Struggle"]]. Unlike more recent intermission music, this track manages to be solemn, yet full with resolve, and it's a shame it has not been used since ''Alpha''/''Alpha Gaiden''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Z Trilogy]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xTjrQ0nDYc "Black Stranger"]], the theme of Asakim "[[FanNickname Not-Masaki]]" Dowin in ''Z''. Sure, he might be a completely depraved bastard, but boy, does his {{Leitmotif}} kick ass.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srifRkGoUXk "Land Crasher"]], {{Leitmotif}} of Rand Travis and the Gunleon for ''Z''. Later, when the Gunelon obtains its "[[SuperMode Magna Mode]]", you're given the absolutely awesome [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbCMWNRBPTw "Makenaize! Gunleon!"]] ("You can't lose! Gunleon!"). You're about to be [[{{Pun}} wrenched]] straight out of existence if this one comes on your sound system.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4MsCBxrwFQ "Namida Nuguu Tsubasa"]] ("The Wings Which Wipe Away Tears"), {{Leitmotif}} of Setsuko Ohara and her MidSeasonUpgrade Virgora Glory in ''Z''. Full of sadness, yet also powerful.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjvNRfRH9zU "Chimera"]], the theme for The Edel Bernal, the TrueFinalBoss of ''Z''. It perfectly conveys his evil and twisted psyche and ambitions.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu2XHS1xnKI "Maketsu no Yuuwaku"]] ("The Demonic Goat's Allure"), {{Leitmotif}} of the mysterious, yet sultry Xine Espio.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5aaddvtbgs "The Unbreakable"]], Crowe Broust's second {{Leitmotif}} after getting his MidSeasonUpgrade in ''Saisei-hen''. Even with the Space-Time Quake and all the Holy War/Sphere mumble-jumble, [[{{Determinator}} his determination cannot be shattered]], and this theme demonstrates exactly that.
* ''Saisei-hen'' also offers [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCUeVmboXtk "Ou no Ai wa Min no Tame ni"]] ("The King's Love is for His People"), theme song of Uther Insaraum, who isn't the wimpy prince as he appears to be.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83OPBPB_I1s "Battle Choir"]], the generic theme for any original units in the ''Z'' series.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhl9aANQawg "Maximum Break!!"]] plays out whenever a Twin unit pulls out a [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Maximum Break]].
* Tengoku-Hen introduces [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGTEcTVOdjs "Solar Crystal"]], theme for the Traia's Original Generation Battleship, Solarian.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncKFUwiGnJg Assembly of Corpses]], Shikuu's theme. [[NightmareFuel Scared yet?]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYsjTZOqXIg Anger Inversion]], one of the most rockin' event themes in the series.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nintendo Handheld Games]]
[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAdvance'']]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j0ui8IVHmI "Dark Knight"]], Axel Almer's {{Leitmotif}}. Made of more pure ass-kicking when ''Original Generation'' gave it its own [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf8iQrWXlDM version]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6Ci6DybkSA "Ash to Ash"]], Lamia Loveless' {{Leitmotif}}. Cool and enchanting, portraying the change between a cold-hearted soldier into a protector of life. ''Original Generation'' version [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN00p8MNajg here]].
* The aptly named [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuXCeofUKXo "Chaos"]], Vindel Mauser's {{Leitmotif}}. The Platform/PlayStationPortable [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_EOeF5GFXI version]] sounds even more epic! Also consider the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh9IQIzX6U0 Aquastyle remix]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjiCxtPDYJk "Kiwamete Chikaku, Kagirinaku Toui Sekai ni"]] ("So Close, Yet So Far"). To date, there's at least six different [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYkFsotwLGs versions]].

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsReversal'']]
* The unnamed [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHSJSfgrYnk title theme]] for ''Reversal'' is one of the most rockin' themes one can ever hear.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyU63L3Tu18 "Over The Time Flow"]], theme of Raul Gureden, an unusually upbeat {{Leitmotif}} for a male [=SRW=] protagonist.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_F3ysOERFU "Over The World Wall"]], {{Leitmotif}} of Fiona Gureden, seems to convey epicness and fun in one roll.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45Vm-_Zv21M "Original Sin"]], for BigBad Dumniuss and its three homunculi.

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny'']]
* When this game was released, none of its original musical tracks were named. Once the ''Second Original Generation'' was released, the title theme was given the name [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLyCYS1jtzM "Destinies"]]. It was given an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOIr4ygOFUk orchestrated version]] for the ''Second Original Generation''.
* Joshua and Cliana each have a normal {{Leitmotif}}, but a second one is triggered whenever they use the strongest attack in whichever mecha they are in. For Joshua, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9EsP3H1uec "Desire"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAYs2PJYCWY "Drumfire"]], respectively; for Cliana, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrqW9x8ySRE "Duologue"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBgWyaClwjY "Duet"]], respectively.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbZDfEf9y1I "Devastator"]], the default theme of the Melior Esse of the Ruina.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAKnqM12qoA "Despair"]], ''Destiny'' BigBad Perfectio's {{Leitmotif}}. Until the release of the ''Second Original Generation'', fans have been calling his theme "[[FanNickname King of Ruin]]". Its [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xONh4QGG3Sk remix]] from ''2nd Original Generation'' is also pretty great.

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment'']]
* Touya Shun's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aIbX-3fPRs "Fate" and "Limit Over"]] {{Leitmotif}}s, the latter post-CharacterDevelopment. OG versions [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYzptNxLiU4 here]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11uIDn-TkW8 here.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKSNzU-zqww "Revenger" and "Guardian Angel"]] for Calvina Coulange. 97* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CrYf9zyfpg "Moon]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qD9tQ4Hd21A Knights"]] for the Fury Knights.
* Each of the girls has their own theme when you use their finisher: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvM5YCvdUZM Katia,]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b69zZ9LCa84 Festenia,]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HRI0ToU49w and Melua]]. OG versions [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJGKqdPv5cw here]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtfNX5NCv7A here]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvDSsn_mBmY here.]]

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsW'']]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_A2q5R0C4c "Bullet Striker"]], Kazuma Ardygun's first {{Leitmotif}}.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH-3zKy8kP4 "Just One Chance"]], used in the "EXA Nova Shoot Over" attack for the Valzacard
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWbw_vIKiaI "Determination ~ Pride and Memory in the Heart"]], the {{Leitmotif}} used when Kazuma's younger sister Mihiro gets to pilot the Valhawk solo for one scenario (for the rest of ''W'', she's a co-pilot). It's gentle enough to match a character like Mihiro but forceful enough to match what she's capable of handing out, even worth keeping on the Valhawk when Kazuma returns post-TimeSkip. It's kept on the Valstork battleship, so you'll hear it by using the eldest Ardygun sibling Shihomi, after she succeeds their father Blessfield. This possibly makes this {{Leitmotif}} the Ardygun family's theme song.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOZ1GxaFPnc "Eternal Memory"]] for the FinalBoss, despite it being uncommonly upbeat.

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsK'']]
* Mist Rex's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAB290-AGyA "Active Mind"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mld2IxYXgt0 "Astral Burst"]]. Even if Mist [[TheScrappy is an ass]], at least his {{Leitmotif}}s are decent.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWFUDLvpvvM "Autumn Loneliness"]], a beautiful, calm {{Leitmotif}} for Angelica Shartill.
* The appropriately name [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUU93LvIL3c "Edax"]] for the main antagonists of ''K'', whose {{Leitmotif}} fits their nasty HumongousMecha nicely.

[[AC:''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsL'']]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLdUAr2bWx8 "Walking Towards the Blue Sky"]] for Nagumo Ichitaka and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG6eRxFa0ow "Feathers Wandering Around in the Night Sky"]] for Yuunagi Graife. Additionally, the brothers have a second {{Leitmotif}} when triggering their units' strongest attack: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W80nA9hivjQ "Beyond the New Door"]] for Ichitaka and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syLQC0Cdj7E "Sure to Become Honest"]] for Yuunagi. Finally, their respective Rushbird and Straybird gain a third {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqM85sYaFss "Wings of Time"]] upon using their CombinationAttack.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbWEKP7w6ws "Grand Throne"]] for the FinalBoss.

[[folder:Original Generation]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCmTJVew_tY "Trombe!"]], Elzam von Branstein's {{Leitmotif}} throughout the franchise (from ''Original Generation'' into ''Alpha 3''), because it [[BGMOverride overrides]] regular boss themes, special event music, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUsel1CCSBg tunes that blare during an apocalypse]], and most importantly, '''FinalBoss {{Leitmotif}}s'''[[note]]Boss and event themes are given the highest BGM priorities, but "Trombe!" had an encoding error where its priorities supercedes the former in the first ''Original Generation'' game, thus MemeticMutation ensues[[/note]]. Then there's the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2NtfdZsXTc fan vocal version]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8BEiiTqGIA&t=65s "Fairy Dang-Sing"]] (localized as "Dancing Fairies") in ''Original Generation 2'' may be just as awesome as the CombinationAttack [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPgkACI5uxU "Royal Heart Breaker"]]...or maybe it's really awesome BECAUSE of the song? For additional awesomeness, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pN4ie7DZjdI the vocal version]] used in episode 10 of ''The Inspector'', as sung by the Latooni Subbota and Shine Hausen's voice actors. This is the first {{Leitmotif}} since the ''Alpha'' series to be given lyrics.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eqroD4cIWk&t=103s "Ouka Genei"]] (localized as "Cherry Blossom Illusion"), Ouka Nagisa's {{Leitmotif}} in ''Original Generation 2'', brings to mind a bird soaring on the wind. In a way, it's almost heroic but her situation is an [[BrainwashedAndCrazy ironic]] one. This makes it more satisfying when she pulls a HeelFaceTurn. Kurogane Arrange Music made a great [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fbAKR3RhRU version]] of it.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP5mhAs9XeE "Rail to the Dangerzone"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQC5CMrSogc "Born to Fight"]], two generic {{Leitmotif}}s that can used around for all units. These days, both are considered extinct themes, yet most players might just relegate it to pilot Russel Bagman, the only character who doesn't have a character-exclusive theme.
* Even the battleships get a unique {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vel5bggyrJ8 "Ships Full of Hope"]] (''Original Generations'' version [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTZlfw8qH-M here]], including a slight remix in the same game called "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0id8r-w1YZ4 Ver. M]]"). This is later designated for the ''Hagane'' and its captains; however, the ''Hiryu Custom'' isn't neglected and gets [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oYCCpDNCs4 "Soaring Dragon of the Heavens"]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=likXfa35Jq4 "For the Day That Has Yet to Come"]], the theme song used when the name of the next scenario is announced post-intermission. Here's the ''Original Generations'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn9AuSxBIFA version]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXJyG5OC2S0 "The Final Adjudicator/Judge"]], an exclusive {{Leitmotif}} in ''Original Generations'' when fighting the TrueFinalBoss of the first game. "''Whoa''" doesn't cover half of what it sounds like.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpXrKpvpCbc "The Land of Beginnings"]], the opening theme for ''Original Generation 2''. Here's the ''Original Generations'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNwmhzeCPMg version]], fully orchestrated.
* The rallying themes from ''Original Generations'' and ''Original Generation Gaiden''. When it looks like the enemy's about to win, these songs kick in at the last minute and the characters get a HeroicSecondWind. Added to this, some of these are previous [=SRW=] themes, ''and'' get used in the final episodes of ''The Inspector''. For example, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Aeo7mjLj0 "Machine Soul"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rFiRrxMLmo "Go!"]] are taken and ''reorchestrated'' from ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Super Robot Wars Impact]]''.
%% Administrivia/ZeroContextExample. * [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc9UgLN8vDA "Rocks".]]
* One of the great things about ''Original Generations'' is it gives exclusive {{Leitmotif}}s to almost every playable character on the roster without neglecting their presence, ranging from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXH-peV6bYQ "Treue"]] ("Loyalty") for the BlueBlood Leona Garstein, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOxINwtkUzk "Rushing Dandy"]] for close-quarters combat AcePilot Kai Kitamura to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca_mgn3C_Jg "Hero Senki"]] ("Hero War Chronicles") for the enigmatic Gilliam Yeager. Even Inspectors' leader Wendolo gets the unique [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6qu61NY87A "The Judge and the Judged]] {{Leitmotif}} rather than the usual "Violent Battle" theme the other Inspectors have.
** ''Original Generation Gaiden'' does the same, such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57jD2KhOM94 "Todoroki, ha Seshi mono"]] ("Roar, O One Who Breaks Supremacy"), exclusively for Folka Albark when he acquires his MidSeasonUpgrade.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhKpEW2iI1k "Shouting Black"]] for Albero Est, a less sinister, more upbeat version of his {{Leitmotif}} "Crying Black" in ''MX'', as a showcasing of what he was like before his StartOfDarkness.
** Since the three homunculi from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsReversal'' used the same {{Leitmotif}} as the BigBad, ''Original Generation Gaiden'' gives them [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LIYZblSrco "Be A Perfect"]].
* The ''Second Original Generation'' gives us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqFLtvoJ5AY "Dashing Black Shadow"]], {{Leitmotif}} of the [=JinRai=]. The fact it sounds so twisted already speaks volume of the machine and its intentions.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI9eBJuLDJo "Utsuro no Tamashi"]] ("Vacant Soul"), belonging to Duvan Org. The strong bass and tempo serves as a sign of just how callous and cold-hearted the individual is.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p_Dj4Tp79A "Kuro Honno no Karyuudo"]] ("Supreme Among the Four Dragons aka Highest of the Four"), for the MagnificentBastard Son Ganlong and his massive [=OuRyuuOu=], which plays in the climactic battle with Baral forces.
* Newcomer Ing Egret's {{Leitmotif}}s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyGVdRSEDZc "22nd Child"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_bMwES8U2M "Lost Children"]]. If you think they sound familiar to particular ''Alpha'' {{Leitmotif}}s, you're correct: in fact, they're used as {{Foreshadowing}}.
* In the same vein as "Ware Koso wa Baran Doban" and "Makenaize! Gunleon!", the ''Second Original Generation'' brings us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMjBBl2ypYQ "Gantetsu Banchou G Bankaran no Uta"]] ("Song of the Iron Stubborn Gang Leader G Bankaran"). Absolutely NO ONE saw this {{Leitmotif}} coming, particularly from a JapaneseDelinquent who got little more than a mention from a drama CD.
* Back in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny'', Glacies and Ventus were given {{Bootstrapped Leitmotif}}s of Joshua Radcliff's and Cliana Rimskaya's default themes, provided the player successfully convinces them to pull a HeelFaceTurn. For the ''Second Original Generation'', the turn is mandatory; instead, they are given the exclusive [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuUACx6urmo "Destine"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pelG_PUT8qk "Deliverer"]] {{Leitmotif}}s, respectively.
* One {{Leitmotif}} given an awesome guitar riff is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t11evbWm-a4 "Genocide Machine II"]], used exclusively for Guest general Grofis Lacrein, a remix of the old "Genocide Machine" from ''4'' and its remakes.
* Not only do the [=JakuOhKi=] and [=BuOhKi=] finally make an appearance in the games via the ''Second Original Generation'', we're treated to their {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozKfZ3KVRj0 "Jakubu Shuuten"]] ("The Phoenix and Tortoise Encircling the Heavens").
* Once [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-MuNcCA9XE "Ultra One"]] starts playing, you've realized you played right into the hands of the villain for the ''Second Original Generation''. If you listen carefully, you'll hear it incorporates parts of "Arrow of Destiny" from ''Alpha'', a key to their identity.
* New character Yong Gebana in the ''Dark Prison'' DownloadableContent has a jazzy {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkKnMpKxsGc "Auditor Girl"]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buMFkNwVujU "Tamashi Naki Hatagami Tachi"]] ("Pantheon of Soulless Machines") in ''Dark Prison'' is an awesome remix of "Heartful Mechanic", previously heard in ''4''.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lesFKPSlBrQ The Last Fighter Twin]]" is an awesome DarkReprise of a ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXR6dMGLjyM very peppy]]'' theme of ''Great Battle 2'' during the climax of ''The Moon Dwellers''.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS49whwHDJI Dark Prison]]", the theme of the Granzon, is suitably ominous, giving you that sense of impending doom as the Granzon starts firing up its singularity weapon and bombarding you with gravitational attacks.

[[folder:OG Saga: Masou Kishin]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_KXfoBy0Cg "Neppu! Shippu! Cybuster!"]] ("Hot wind! Swift wind! Cybuster!"), the HotBlooded {{Leitmotif}} of the Herald of the Elemental Lord of Wind, Masaki Andoh.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9r71CshgcM version]] from ''Super Robot Wars The Animation'' OVA. The wind is calling; someday you'll hear its voice. The first moment this song is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM0oe5ovZfw used in the OVA]] is a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDLQlErnop0 "Approaching Enemy"]], used by most bosses in the ''Masou Kishin'' storyline.
* Just like Masaki, the other Heralds of the Elemental Lords have their own awesome {{Leitmotif}}s:
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKnSax2B4-A Martial Artist of Fire]]", {{Leitmotif}} of the equally HotBlooded, yet SternTeacher Hwang Yong Long.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEJdX3i_DbA "Mizu to Numa no Kuni Kara"]] ("From The City Of Water And Ice"), belonging to the [[YamatoNadeshiko graceful]] LadyOfWar Tytti Noorbuck.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XwYeqrb_Xk "Flapper Girl"]], Lune Zoldark's theme, perfectly embodies what this {{Tomboy}} {{Charles Atlas Superpower}}ed heroine is.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wpqrujPsow "Spring Breeze Precia"]], {{Leitmotif}} for archetypical TokenMiniMoe Precia Zenozakis.
* When ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Revelation of Evil God]]'' is released, Masaki acquires his Elemental Lord Cybuster's "[[SuperMode Full Possession Mode]]", alongside a new {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewcGqNNek-k "Possession"]]. In the sequel ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Pride of Justice]]'', the other Heralds learn Full Possession for their respective Elemental Lords. Behold Yang Long and the Granveil's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6qqigyZtgw "Awakening of Flame"]], Tytti and the Gaddeath's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP1vG0gCWAw "Ocean of Determination"]] and Mio and the Zamzeed's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY62Ko2rFaY "Awaken, Earth!"]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c0V3_nx4PI "Dark Prison"]], Shu Shirakawa's {{Leitmotif}} has remained pretty consistent throughout the franchise. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aMTYLZz8o4 Every]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3HcfmPAxCY version]] always delivers the ominous feeling of what kind of person Shu is: a MagnificentBastard kept imprisoned of his own free will for so long, his release WILL spell doom on those who manipulate him. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS49whwHDJI "Dark Prison Ver.OG DP"]] is an exclusive remix heard in the ''Dark Prison'' DownloadableContent. Notably, this one rivals "Trombe!" for overriding boss themes.
* After years of using the generic "Endless Battle" theme, the twin princesses of the Kingdom of Langran ''finally'' get their own {{Leitmotif}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGeMoxH_duM "Princess of Passion"]] beginning with ''Revelation of Evil God''.
