* ''VideoGame/GrimFandango'''s soundtrack is so smooth and well-orchestrated, it was released as a CD. [[http://www.grimfandango.net/?page=soundtrack Get it here]].
* ''VideoGame/{{The Dig|1995}}'' has a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GVGWWR4HYU very beautiful soundtrack]] composed by Michael Land and inspired by Wagnerian pieces. Particularly awesome are [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMuu9djqKrs "The Monument"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JQTafesDeg "Dimensions in Time"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvRdUcbNSFM "Cathedral of the Lost",]] and the '''incredibly beautiful''' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR5PhssJGGQ "A River Canyon".]]
* The opening sequence in ''VideoGame/FullThrottle'', though really, the entire game should qualify.
* Then there's ''Franchise/StarWars: VideoGame/ShadowsOfTheEmpire'', which came with suitably EPIC music from Joel [=McNeeley=], who originally wrote the score for the ''novel''. His [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nitJd6cIXU theme]] for MagnificentBastard Xizor is just the tip of the iceberg. The ''awesome'' iceberg.
* ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublic'' is a ''Franchise/StarWars'' game, so along with the Obligatory Epic Lightsaber Fight Scene comes the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxNKOLgbbhs Obligatory Epic Lightsaber Fight]] ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxNKOLgbbhs Music]]''. But there's also the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDwl-31afEc Infinite Fleet Theme]] - so-named because the final cinematic for the Dark Side ending pans out through a ''fleet'' (a '''big''' fleet) of Sith destroyers ready to conquer the galaxy.
** Not to mention some of the lovely ambient pieces, like the theme for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXk6TYQd4K0 Upper Taris]], or [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeoGAKXsMjE Bastila's Theme]].
** The utterly awesome music that plays during the character creation screen, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSKvMyruPTA "The Old Republic".]]
* ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublicIITheSithLords'' has its share of awesome music, such as the emotional [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__gLIyeQYDU Rebuilt Jedi Enclave]] or [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DtVBD6W5_A The Main Theme.]]
* The epic Mandalorian war chants, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FXrbNlX0KU Vode An]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsMRHu1GhbY Gratua Cunn,]] from ''VideoGame/StarWarsRepublicCommando.''
* The iMUSE interactive MIDI system definitely proved its worth by using a format that is generally regarded as having lackluster sampling in the games that made use of it, and the soundtracks themselves certainly contributed to the experience as well. ''VideoGame/DarkForces'' boasts a remarkable score all around, with noteworthy tracks played during cutscenes that show Kyle in transit to Anteevy/escaping from his captor's ship or making his escape after blowing something up. The music scored for ''VideoGame/TIEFighter'' likewise has an excellent variety to offer, but perhaps the most memorable comes from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cozXQbUh4U8 the opening cinematic]] (particularly towards the end where the Imperials pursue the fleeing Rebels). Regrettably, the original score was replaced with the music (or perhaps remixes thereof) from the original movie trilogy's soundtracks in later releases of the compilation CD. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I69GKdVDc9I remix]] for the Collector's Edition isn't anything to sneeze at, either.
* While later installment mostly used tracks from the films, the first ''VideoGame/DarkForces'' game had a truly badass original [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz7ewICXU-o theme]].
* ''Videogame/Afterlife1996'' is a heaven and hell simulator, and thus [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5E9860F10AE4D364 the soundtrack]] is full of appropriately ethereal music, with strings, flutes and choirs to give an otherwordly sensation. It has a fun dance track for the Disco Inferno, and an upside to the "Surfers of the Apocalypso" defeat scenario - you're losing, but at least there's a cool surf rock tune playing!
* ''Secret Weapons Over Normandy'' had some of the most epic music ever put in a flight sim outside of an ''VideoGame/AceCombat'' game. It would not be hard to imagine it in a ''Franchise/StarWars'' or ''Franchise/IndianaJones'' film. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Wyz0-9rVI Here is the main theme,]] and it just gets more awesome from there.
