Whether it's the horns from the SNES game, the electric guitar of ''X'', or the trance techno of ''AX/GX'', ''VideoGame/FZero'' music is all awesome in some form to fit with the intensity of racing at 2,000 km/h.

Worth noting is that the game's manual touts the high quality of its stereo soundtrack, and encourages players to play the game on a TV with stereo audio (which weren't as common back in 1990) to get the most out of these great tunes.
%%* The famous song that made it into practically every ''F-Zero'' game (excluding ''Maximum Velocity''), [[https://youtu.be/QxU0eHnQjo8 Mute City.]]
%%* The second famous song that made it into every game, [[https://youtu.be/LHhjnJP0VCo Big Blue.]]
* The [[https://youtu.be/Hv6dssT-dXY Title Theme]] is short but it gets you pumped to race.
* [[https://youtu.be/VVoXaZWFAMI Results,]] a calm tune once you beat a race (or rank out/explode).
* [[https://youtu.be/wi8SLiK_E6s Death Wind]] has a very creepy, militaristic beat with wind blowing on and on that just keeps on going. Fitting for [[ThatOneLevel one of the hardest tracks in the game]], and the home world of [[ProfessionalKiller Pico]].
* [[https://youtu.be/cJCmbipfnyA Silence]] has a nice peaceful start before it picks up.
* [[https://youtu.be/Ise3eGYFWHA Port Town,]] a chilling drum and bass piece that is the perfect theme song for Captain Falcon's home turf.
* [[https://youtu.be/VRuHFouBRVw White Land I,]] with its piano-sounding startup, and then the beat kicks in...and it gets awesome from there. It's reminded several people of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."
* [[https://youtu.be/YIR7bPcQRdg White Land II,]] the second and more difficult version, features a more intense and heart-pounding rendition and is appropriately fitting for the bane of every player's existence, [[ThatOneLevel the dreaded jump.]]
* [[https://youtu.be/XUJOlDhh7C4 Sand Ocean,]] with its hypnotic drum pattern and exotic melodies, is one of the better songs in the game.
* [[https://youtu.be/ejAEx_kWmko Fire Field,]] appropriately enough the most intense song in the soundtrack for [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon the game's final, longest, and hardest circuit.]]
* And last but not least, the [[https://youtu.be/JgWO8ZEuoow cup victory theme]] is absolute bliss and perfect catharsis watching your car take a victory lap after you completed the last blood-boiling race!
[[/folder]]

[[folder: F-Zero X]]
* A lot of games have memorable title screen music, but [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8YyPxochRI this one]] especially stands out. It begins with a simple guitar lick that then turns into a NewWaveOfBritishHeavyMetal-style groove with an unforgettable shredding melody on top.
* You might have trouble choosing from all 30 of the possible racers for your next Grand Prix but [[https://youtu.be/yyPtM9Mdlyo this theme]] helps with that.
* [[https://youtu.be/nxDNv8RVNY4 Option]]. A nice, relaxed song, particularly with the background choir.
* [[https://youtu.be/5coENgislqI Grand Prix Ending.]] Even if you don't make the top 3 at the end, you're still treated to your car driving on the road and the game encourages you to try again, with a song like that, it's hard not to.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/N0NlVypWHTQ Endless Challenge,]] a rearrangement of the Mute City theme with an electric guitar.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/MJsLDL8NQAk Decide in the Eyes,]] Big Blue, also with an electric guitar.
* [[https://youtu.be/EUSxabS5_qM Dream Chaser,]] the theme of Silence. It also has an [[https://youtu.be/v3itSyr1-d4 8-bit]] rendition made for the ''VideoGame/MegaMan4'' ROM hack ''VideoGame/Rockman4MinusInfinity''.
* [[https://youtu.be/_ewN5XfIhcY The Long Distance of Murder]], the theme song to Red Canyon. It gets even better with [[https://youtu.be/4I9h7SkZICg the Expansion kit version,]] which contains an extended intro riff.
* [[https://youtu.be/voqIgKg7WwU Drivin' Through on Max,]] the theme to Sectors Alpha and Beta, and the Non-64DD version of Rainbow Road. Sounds perfect to tape the A button down when this song's playing as you, well, Drive Through on Max.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i56G-ehbqYA Fall Down to the Scream,]] the theme of Fire Field. Pure speed metal, perfect for the track's intensity.
* [[https://youtu.be/5hcuhsD_TGQ Devil's Call In Your Heart,]] the theme song to Devil's Forest, samples the lead riff from "Heartwork" by British MelodicDeathMetal band Music/{{Carcass}} to absolutely majestic results. No wonder it reappeared in ''Super Smash Bros. Brawl'', ''4'', and ''Ultimate'' completely untouched.
* [[VideoGame/MarioKart64 Rainbow Road]], ''F-Zero X''-style. [[https://youtu.be/cXqJEEAA-sw Hear it to believe it.]] Unfortunately, it’s only available if you're using the 64DD expansion kit, which is [[NoExportForYou Japan-only]].
* [[https://youtu.be/41c7Sdl5sMk All Need is 30 Deaths]] plays during the Death Race mode. It gives off a very "''There can only be one!''" mood, kinda fitting what the mode is about.
* [[https://youtu.be/OZCCdyWZ7S4 Climb Up! And Get the Last Chance]], the theme song to White Land, also reappeared in ''Smash'' and for good reason. That guitar + keyboard combo will send shivers down your spine. The track has a somber undertone to it, as if evoking the imagery of a racer getting a HeroicSecondWind after a major setback. The Expansion Kit version has an extended outro, and is also the version that would be reused for ''GP Legend'' and ''Climax''.
* [[https://youtu.be/8CEKHrXjJOk The]] [[https://youtu.be/eoKtv8Dfsyc other]] [[https://youtu.be/y3NvLHbtvtM four]] [[https://youtu.be/-gDFFWQsUYg songs]] exclusive to the ''F-Zero X [[ExpansionPack Expansion Kit]]'' are also just as intense as the main game's soundtrack, which is really saying something. Special mention goes to Big Foot, an intense tune which plays on two of the expansion kit's courses including the last one, and which riffs [[VideoGame/{{Doom}} At Doom's Gate/E1M1]], of all things.

[[folder: F-Zero: Maximum Velocity]]
* Cloud Carpet features some of best guitars on the UsefulNotes/GameBoyAdvance with its [[https://youtu.be/uLYSkFpvb6I theme]].
%%* [[https://youtu.be/GiM8MOLkaDo Bianca City]] makes up for the lack of a Mute City.
* [[https://youtu.be/qONPNBrPkA4 Tenth Zone East]] is seen as one of the best songs in the game and for good reason. The intro just gets your blood going, never mind the rest of the song!
* [[https://youtu.be/WUzUHFBvcb4 Silence.]] Interestingly, the track is actually unused due to the fact the only Silence track is available on Single-Pak Play and there's no music. Quite a shame.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/xypuAyvYTvw Crater Land.]] ''All of it.''
* [[https://youtu.be/K8X0VPm5o5w Synobazz.]] Especially when you race on [[BrutalBonusLevel the championship circuit.]]
* [[https://youtu.be/m0FhtbB1mDY Empyrean Colony]] has a very whimsical sounding track for those that make it there.
* [[https://youtu.be/AOtPhz4Ljvg Fire Field.]] Like every other Fire Field, this features heavy guitars. Funny enough, that means Fire Field has been in ''every'' game to date.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/i5CSVlYCtGI Stark Farm,]] one of the most underrated tracks in the franchise to date.
* The [[https://youtu.be/HJTB6XLoWmE Title Theme.]] Like the theme in the SNES game, this one also gets you pumped up.
* [[https://youtu.be/u7lHWydFNLU Credits]] is a sudden shift from the rocking Cup Results theme but its techno beat is soothing.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/1Vm1--TFWo4 Results,]] which emulates the original game's results theme.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: F-Zero AX/GX]]
* [[https://youtu.be/U0TmPUNNlfc For the Glory (Mute City).]] Don't like the techno sound of it? The game allows you to change it to [[https://youtu.be/uEC8ub7fr0o this]] instead.
* Dr. Stewart's theme song from ''GX''. [[https://youtu.be/yhSN-RhfxN4 Pure trance gold.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNyI6C1EOGE Baba's theme]] is one part tribal percussion and one part hard hitting techno, tied together with Delay Lama vocalizations to create something uniquely wild and fabulous.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giQjFYWphG4 Pico's theme]] is like a representation of Pico's bloodlust and aggression in musical form.
* The first question fans will ask is why wasn't Captain Falcon's ''GX'' theme included in ''Brawl''. [[https://youtu.be/YtyMluP8MaY We honestly don't know why they skipped out on it either]].
-->Forever he will be my hero!
* [[https://youtu.be/vBDldr_osfU James McCloud's theme]] sounds like something out of ''Film/TopGun''.
-->HE IS THE HERO! LEADER OF THE TEAM! DARK GREEN AND SILVER! IT'S THE SUBTLETY!
* [[https://youtu.be/1Zcl5kPjbww Jack Levin's theme]] is equal parts catchy, campy and awesome, sounding like something he wrote himself back in his pop singer days.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y82L5hhxX_Q The Skull's theme]] is like a futuristic version of a slasher movie villain's theme, making for something both ominous and awesome at the same time.
* Leon's [[https://youtu.be/e8wlKnMG20I theme]] is as hard rock as you can get. [[VideoGame/CapcomVsSNK2MarkOfTheMillennium Keep rockin', baby!]]
* Super Arrow's ''GX'' theme. [[https://youtu.be/CZGifbiCbsM It'll make you wanna save the world]]!
* [[CoolOldGuy Silver Neelsen]] gets a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCsGHY6vQVI blood-pumping rockabilly number]] that wouldn't be out of place blaring from a truck radio on a drive through the desert.
* [[https://youtu.be/bbelmEKSSww Blood Falcon's Theme]]. Dark, threatening, and metal as hell. "Fly... Over us..."
* [[https://youtu.be/3tqdllYqTyQ John Tanaka's theme.]] The techno beat makes it sound like an NES game.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/nZnLULxPS3g If you might think this is Fantasyland, look my way... I would cast a spell on you!]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HhjvbspyJ0 Don Genie's theme]]. Equal parts CreepyCircusMusic, mobster theme, and heavy metal for a ruthless, larger than life corporate powerhouse.
* [[https://youtu.be/4SzpWkUAdnY Digi-Boy's theme.]] While Digi-Boy himself might be a BaseBreakingCharacter, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who hated this super-upbeat electro-rock song.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSRdWpCsTOk Spade's Theme]] is a psychedelic and mystical little track, which works perfectly for a flashy magician like Spade.
* [[https://youtu.be/q44wUP3_L4I TOO FAST! YOU LOSE, I WIN!]] Dai Goroh's theme fits the fact he wants to take after his father.
* [[https://youtu.be/4QDGt9rMOC Lily's theme.]] A dark, militaristic theme which fits her {{Child Soldier|s}} character.
* [[https://youtu.be/yNHnMbn5nLQ Phoenix's theme]] is one of the best in the game. An awesome BraggingThemeTune that solidifies Phoenix's character as a tough as nails hero from the future.
-->I want you to feel the pressure (We keep the order)\
I know you can't run forever\
No one move without me saying (Or we will take you down)\
You know there's no use in fighting
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBic0Gnaexc Deathborn's theme]] is an astoundingly ominous mix rock and orchestra, creating an aura of "you are completely screwed" perfect for anyone who's [[TheDreaded as feared as Deathborn is]].
* [[https://youtu.be/9FrV2BYiSB8 Feel Our Pain (Fire Field),]] a fittingly intense IndustrialMetal piece with an absolutely epic guitar providing the backdrop to racing at 2200 km/h through the mantle of a heavily mined planet.
* [[https://youtu.be/nel2ZT_MAd0 ZEN (Aeropolis)]] is something that wouldn't sound out of place in ''Anime/{{AKIRA}}'' or ''WesternAnimation/ObanStarRacers''. The bells in the beginning easily catch your attention and it just gets better.
* [[https://youtu.be/limm-3Q7GGc Osc-Sync Carnival (Lightning)]] is an appropriately moody [[{{Industrial}} aggrotech]] tune for the industrial nightmare that is Lightning.
* [[https://youtu.be/t2iUPJIppIc Infinite Blue (Big Blue).]] Like Mute City, there's also the [[https://youtu.be/zoqFctIBvL4 Cover of Big Blue]] in-case you don't like the usual song.
* [[https://youtu.be/F71TLOHx2jM DIZZY (Phantom Road).]] A really dark techno theme that represents what would be a twisted version of [[VideoGame/MarioKart Rainbow Road]].
* [[https://youtu.be/p3VLJISYnis One Ahead System (Cosmo Terminal),]] there's only one example of Cosmo Terminal in the game just like Phantom Road, possibly due to the fact they're NintendoHard.
* The three songs that made it into ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl'' and ''For Wii U'':
** [[https://youtu.be/j4zuW2yD0vQ Brain Cleaner (Replay)]] has a buzzing guitar carried with absolutely enchanting drums.
** [[https://youtu.be/MhVExrxjK3s Shotgun Kiss (Casino Palace)]] is a funky, ''Anime/CowboyBebop''[=-=]esque drum and bass piece that provides the perfect backdrop for racing through a casino metropolis. Believe it or not, it was also the main inspiration for the Sled Racing theme from ''VideoGame/ClubPenguin''.
** [[https://youtu.be/bhF8v2ztvo8 Planet Colors (Green Plant)]] starts off with a chiptune melody atop a majestic, bassy beat, before suddenly exploding into one hell of an EpicRiff if we've ever heard one.
* [[https://youtu.be/Tq9mipSqeC4 The Story Mode ending theme.]] It has cheesy lyrics, but it nevertheless gives a rewarding feeling, especially after completing all chapters on very hard.
* The Grand Prix [[NintendoHard Master Class]] ending theme, [[https://youtu.be/r1GiiUqjSWk Respect to "Result Theme of F-Zero"]] also gives a rewarding feeling.
* The AX Cup[[note]]Originally released for arcade machines, it becomes unlockable in ''GX'' after beating all cups in Master Mode[[/note]] starts out with a bang in the form of [[https://youtu.be/KmC5RbdomN8 "Paper Engine (Outer Space)"]], an aggressive techno track that plays as you negotiate the course's tight turns and spiraling tunnels, all while staring in awe at the meteor stream happening in the background.

[[folder: F-Zero: GP Legend/Climax]]
%%* [[https://youtu.be/okadVyHMsVY Illusion]] sounds like a song Music/{{Dragonforce}} would write.
* The BGM for [[https://youtu.be/8v8yWq2skI0 Lightning]] in ''F-Zero GP Legend'', and its [[https://youtu.be/o6z_Pyt1BhY remix]] in ''F-Zero Climax''. By far the most intense songs in both games.
* The tracks for Mist Flow, in both its [[https://youtu.be/-o_FZtzCcy8 GP Legend]] and its [[https://youtu.be/NKTb_zeZ62Y Climax]] renditions, are as blood-pumping as one another and perfectly capture the foggy, dreamy atmosphere of the place.
%%* [[https://youtu.be/h_SxVtf6Nk0 The Meaning of Truth]] that plays at the [[GrandFinale climax]] of the anime.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: F-Zero 99]]
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZWFSB2V_Xo "race complete" arrangement]] of Results arranges the original, somber theme into an [[TriumphantReprise upbeat, congratulatory tune]] that's reminiscent of many arcade racing games. It'll make you feel victorious, no matter if you placed 1st or 50th. It's also great to cool off to after a tense race, especially during a Grand/Mini Prix.
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_PqwYOrW0E Lucky Bumper theme]] is a bouncy, upbeat theme that helps ease the pain of a Crash Out as you get to cause mayhem on the racetrack.
* One of the glitched tracks is a mashup of Fire Field and Mute City I, and [[https://youtu.be/qXGdOAZVa38?si=tFVha7_u3rFuqiJr it remixes both tracks' themes]] into something that could fit as a FinalBoss theme.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Misc. (Smash, Remixes)]]
%%* All of the Mute City renditions in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' qualify. [[https://youtu.be/Ql-AxaUbocY Version 1 (Melee)]], [[https://youtu.be/2WBcwDe-RIE Version 2 (Brawl)]] and [[https://youtu.be/Sn70Pxum-O0 Version 3 (For 3DS/Wii U)]].
* [[https://youtu.be/AzHjpw3250E Fire Field]] from ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl''. Slightly slower, way more awesome.
* The Nintendo Land Version of [[https://youtu.be/vgstoP7ou5o Big Blue]] manages to keep the rocking spirit of original while also adding a little techno synth to it.
%%* ''F-Zero X: Guitar Arrange Edition.'' [[https://youtu.be/s8Suw71kA-8 Need we say more?]]
%%* Music/SmoothMcGroove and his acapella of [[https://youtu.be/l7nVJbI9bhU Mute City.]]

%%* [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPOemxud8ATqxM6Ivgw74Yg Acid-Notation]] has a nice [[https://youtu.be/DVmuFAcS9k0 Big Blue Drum & Bass Remix.]]
* With the ''F-Zero'' tracks downloadable for ''VideoGame/MarioKart8'' comes amazing jazz/rock renditions of the series' most iconic themes: [[https://youtu.be/E6V1IIccP-4 Mute City]] and [[https://youtu.be/VfM60kXU9ME Big Blue.]]
* Music/GaMetal brings us his medley of [[https://youtu.be/8kWuW1yQ2u4 Big Blue and Mute City]], as well as his covers of [[https://youtu.be/3yYDOd9-iP4 Fire Field,]] [[https://youtu.be/tznFcq8WIvk Dream Chaser]], [[https://youtu.be/lT8tsx94pTw Illusion]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOankRpdVt0 White Land]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vatxUikLPBI Death Wind]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuqyztiE6dXY9dUfN1UnYyw Remix Rave]] in general, he has done a crazy amount of songs either in an ''X'' style, an overall remix or ''F-Zero'' songs in other fonts. His more notable series has to go to ''[=G64X=]'' and ''[[XtremeKoolLetterz Xtreme Velocity]]'', not only doing ''X'' style covers but even custom courses in ''F-Zero X'' to go along with them as well. [[https://youtu.be/-MzSDTtns8Y Here's]] [[https://youtu.be/ZC0oE1nguww some]] [[https://youtu.be/PP5QXze_hdw examples.]]
