Though Tim goes into an apparently sincere apology to God for doubting Him, it quickly turns into the most exquisite, scathing sarcastic takedown of Sam's brand of "miracle" story. Through biting sarcasm, Tim calls out this brand of "inspiration" as ConfirmationBias, citing the fact that many people who tell such stories are pretty well-off as it is.

He actually looked kind of bewildered. For the second, he brought all the lights down and (noting how it was "fucking cliche") proceeded to play a rendition of "Hallelujah" that stylistically incorporated the three [[Music/JohnCale most]] [[Music/LeonardCohen famous]] [[Music/JeffBuckley versions]], and got the entire crowd singing along.
19	* "The Pope Song" is another genius condemnation of the Catholic Church's child abuse allegations, pointing out that it's pretty sick to be more offended about the rude language in the song that the fact that the papacy sheltered priests ''who sexually abused children.'' More than that, Minchin often looks and sounds genuinely ''furious'' throughout the last verse of the song on many live recordings, showing just how deeply he feels about this.
