Mike then leaves, taking the cash and drugs with him, telling Jesse to call Saul if anything goes wrong. All of this solidifies Mike as a stone-cold professional who knows how to handle bad situations without any grousing or confusion.

At the end of Walt's journey, he's finally dying with all of his major goals accomplished, with nothing but fondness for the life he'd led and no regrets at all -- he even succumbs to the bullet wound before the police find him, going out on his own terms rather than waiting for his cancer or the law to do him in. But we also see visually the sum of all the sacrifices he'd made and all that he'd lost, in that he dies ''in a meth lab.'' There's no one, friends or family, to give him comfort in his final moments, no money, no prizes or rewards of any kind - just lots and lots of meth and equipment. That's when it dawns on you that this ''is'' his life at the very end -- his career as Heisenberg consumed his entire life. Basically, [[JustForFun/ComeForTheXStayForTheY he came for his family, but stayed for the meth.]] It makes for a moment that is simultaneously proud AND pitiful.
269	** A more subtle aspect of Walt's death: With the infamous Heisenberg now found dead where the blue meth was produced, the police would likely put it all on him and allow Jesse to escape scrutiny. Regardless of whether Walt considered that angle, it helps tie up another loose end.

And the fact that Walter accepts this, without trying any more tricks, even when it condemns him to a slower and more painful death. It almost crosses into being a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment\|s}}.
