Thirteen years after the Battle Lovers saved the planet twice over, Binan High is as lively as ever. Kyotaro Shuzenji, Taishi Manza, Ryoma Kirishima, Ichiro Dougo, and Nanao Wakura spend their days in the irrelevantly-named Earth Defense Club, ditching class, drinking tea, and having an uneventful but lax life. When they decide to hit up their local bathhouse, however, Ryouma ends up pulling a fully clothed human out of the bath. The man immediately tells the boys about his plight-- that he's a prince from the far-off MagicalLand of Honyalaland and he needs to prove his worth of ruling their domain-- and finishes by asking them for assistance. The boys don't believe a word and leave, but the prince (now an otter) transports them into the path of a monster rampaging around their school to show them he isn't kidding. Now tasked with fighting it off, the boys are given Happy Braces and are forced to become the prince's Happy Knights, fighting for peace, love, and happiness whether they want to or not. Meanwhile, Binan's new student council - Ata Ibusuki, Taiju Unazuki, and Maasa Shirahone- have just gotten into contact with a fennec fox that wants to rule over the land with fear...

As you might have guessed, Cute High Earth Defense Club Happy Kiss! is the sequel to the ever-popular MagicalGirlWarrior spoofing Boueibu franchise. It premiered in 2018, produced by Creator/StudioComet like the predecessor's second season.

!! Tropes found in this series:
* AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil: Once again, the Conquest Club.
* AngerBornOfWorry: The student who becomes the monster of the week in episode 4 is this towards his father, a famous TV treasure hunter. At first, the Defense Club thinks that he is angry over how his father was hardly ever present for the first years of his life, drove his mother to abandon them by neglecting her, and constantly forced him to change schools as he travels to dig sites. However, it turns out that he is really worried about how his father is working himself to the point of physical exhaustion and illness for a fake TV show in pursuit of his dream of hitting the mother-load, when both the producers and viewers just see it as cheap entertainment.
%%* AmbiguouslyBrown: Prince Karls' and Furanui's human forms.
* Animorphism: Both Prince Karls and Prince Furaunui have this ability.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Nanao is actually quite glad the Happy Knights don't age into proper old men instead of getting wrinkles, because "it would ruin [his] character design".
* ByThePowerOfGrayskull: Or, in this case, happiness.
* CainAndAbel: Furanui has nothing but contempt for his brother Karls, thinking the latter doesn't have what it takes to be king. In addition, he wants to rule the earth by force and purge it of "human trash", while Karls is fascinated with humans and wants to spread happiness to end their suffering. In a bit of a flip-flop, Furanui is actually the younger brother.
* CampyCombat: Like its predecessor, the show has all the campy action of a typical MagicalGirlWarrior show with the genders flipped.
* ForHappiness: Prince Karls' motivation.
* FrillsOfJustice: The Happy Knights' costumes.
* LazyBum: While Kyotaro is the poster child for this, the whole Defense Club in this series qualifies, as none of them were the least bit interested in Karls or his offer to make them his knights. It actually took Karls forcefully transporting them into the path of the monster while they were only wearing towels to get them to make the contract. They usually only fight so that they can go back to doing nothing.
* MagicalGirlQueenlinessTest: Karls and Furanui are using their boys to prove which of them is more fit to run Earth.
* NoFourthWall: Wouldn't be a Cute High series with one. To put it into perspective, their first fight has the Knights blame Kyotaro not standing with them on, ironically, the animators being lazy.
* OohMeAccentsSlipping: When Taishi gets pissed, he has a habit of lapsing into his regular coarse speech before switching back to polite. This is especially noticeable in the first battle, where he starts lapsing when he oh so desperately wants to fight Cure style against the monster.
* Pun: The Happy Knights (Kishi) have to seal their contract with a kiss (kissu).
** As is tradition for the series, puns can be found in character names (e.g. "Nanao" is a city in which Wakura Onsen can be found, hence the character's name being Nanao Wakura, albeit with one kanji changed between the two).
* ScaryShinyGlasses: A boy in episode 4 has these for a moment.
* TransformationTrinket: While the Happy Knights use bracelets similar to the prequel series, they have to kiss Karls's hand as a trigger and to initiate the transformation. The same goes for Edelstein with their finger rings, but Furanui simply needs to become human to activate.
* ThemeNaming: The Happy Knights have two solid naming schemes unlike their predecessors, going for a stellar theme for the first (Stella, Luna, and Spazio) and a natural theme for the second (Fiore, Neve).
