** Not the first time the guys have done something like this. Earlier in the series, fellow underground member [[OnlyKnownByTheirNickname Tiger]] is betrayed and captured by the Gestapo. Hogan immediately passes the news to London and is livid when the orders come back to not attempt a rescue and leave Tiger to be interrogated and executed. The others are initially hesitant to disobey an order, but Hogan absolutely refuses to leave her behind, and orders the men to start getting together the supplies he'll need to go to Paris where Tiger is being held and bust her out. The men protest he can't do it alone, but when he sarcastically responds that they've "just elected me Lone Ranger," there's a moments pause before Carter throws in with the Colonel by claiming to be his Tonto, followed by the rest.

The caller even calls himself [[Literature/TheBible Adam]] because he feels like he's "been here since the beginning."

Ondina further appeals to her by pointing out that Rikki is a mermaid connected to Mako Island just like herself, meaning she's welcome to join the pod at any time, never having to live her life tiptoeing around humans. It's then that Rikki finally agrees to help, and Ondina gets her to promise to come meet the pod in the future.
