* UnexpectedCharacter: Who'd expect this series to crossover with ''Manga/CrayonShinChan''?

Not a YMMV example

* BreakoutCharacter: Yuki, when her human form and Cure form were fully revealed, became much more popular than Wonderful and Friendy, due to her being a traditional Cure as well as her mysterious, secretive and aloof attitude being as popular as [[Anime/KiraKiraPrettyCureALaMode Yukari]] for much the same reasons.

Added DiffLines:

* LesYay: Mayu's interactions with Yuki's human forms are ''very'' difficult to not see as romantic, with her acting as Mayu's MysteriousProtector and swooping in like a heroic knight whenever she's in danger.

* DoNotDoThisCoolThing: The moral message of Nyammy's debut arc is to not use violence to solve the problems at hand, as the Garugaru are victims and ruthlessly beating them up is very much a bad thing. Many a comment section, especially western sections of the fandom, are happy to see classic ''Precure''-style fight scenes because they are, in fact, cool in and out of context. It doesn't help that the ''Precure'' franchise has always been known for its action sequences, so many critics of this show see this as a return to form, and the way of dealing with the monsters of the week in ''Wonderful'' fails to generate the desired emotions thanks to the fact that several of them are aggressive animals and even natural predators in real life. In addition, the battle techniques obtained from the Kirarin Animals are not related to either their abilities shown as monsters of the week, or with natural abilities of animals in real life.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The fact that combat has been toned down significantly (with how the openings show the Cures chasing down monsters and hugging them), even compared to ''Anime/KiraKiraPrecureALaMode'' (where characters didn't use fisticuffs), has gotten some flack from fans who feel like it sucks out the spirit of the Precure series.

* FanartAtFirstSight:
** For seemingly minor characters who so far only exist to populate a classroom, Kanie and Ōkuma '''instantly''' flooded the Internet with massive amounts of fanart for their cute designs, and much of the fan art is dedicated to them hypothetically becoming Cures themselves, akin to Waon from ''Anime/SuitePrettyCure''.
** Yuki's human form also got plenty of fan art from just a ten second ''glance'' in Episode 11.

It would not apply since the entire situation is generating the opposite effect to what they wanted to demonstrate in the fandom.

* HarsherInHindsight: One of the big complaints early on was that the series wasn't leaning on the franchise's typical usage of combat in favor of chases and hugs. Episode 12 finally shows us a typical fight... but it's PlayedForDrama as Cure Nyammy is ''much'' more ruthless on the Garugaru than her fellow Cures, showing no mercy on a more innocent creature despite it being your typical MonsterOfTheWeek.
