His true identity, Ralph, has been under Agatha's control the whole time, but this reveal isn't treated as seriously as the other residents of Westview being PeoplePuppets. Even Monica doesn't seem to care at all.

Others don't mind Peters' character not being Quicksilver from the ''X-Men'' films, but wish he had been some other established Marvel character. Many were disappointed that all the intrigue built up around these characters' identities was ultimately paid off with a joke and had no real relevance to the plot.
