* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Theo's wife, Mel. She's supposed to come across as a long suffering wife to Theo's long distance relationship with her and their daughters but while Theo has done all the work to try and make their relationship work, Mel has done nothing to try and compromise with him or even suggest moving closer to the city. It's clear she wants Theo to go into ''her'' family's practice and refuses to meet in the middle with Theo's commute because she wants the "small town life" for herself and her daughters. Her tearful confession comes across less as a wife who's been trying hard to make things work and more whining that Theo isn't doing ''more'' to follow what ''she'' wants.
