** Despite what said about, Airachnid actually manages to have a fanbase and even became CanonImmigrant. But usually fans' populary consist of four parts: 1) showing that she has some sympathetic side; 2) being MsFanservice; 3) showing her connection to [[WesternAnimation/BeastWars Blackarachnia]] and [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Lockdown]] and 4) showing [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse what happened to her]] after Prime ends.

** [[spoiler:Near the end of Predacons Rising, Bumblebee holds off Megatron with the Polarity Gauntlet long enough for Optimus to escape with the Allspark. What would have been a tense and suspenseful scene is rendered inept when the high-pitched, whirling sound of the Polarity Gauntlet and the lack of background music make the scene unintentionally hilarious. [[EnemyMine Knock Out and Smokescreen]] using the tense moment to quip doesn't help.]]
** At times, Unicron's voice makes him sound nasal and like the kind of person who has to yell to be taken seriously, which can make some of the lines of this SatanicArchetype chuckle-worthy.
** Megatron's tendency towards FishEyes make many of his scenes much funnier than intended. Even more so after being upgraded [[spoiler: by Unicron]] where his face looks outright goofy.
** Shockwave saying "logic" every once in a while would be fine, but it occurs so frequently that he turns into a self-parody.

** Arcee and Airachnid's rivalry gets dropped after the first season and is completely forgetton about for the rest of the series. Airachnid's final appearance on the show doesn't even feature Arcee at all.

** After spending an entire season and a half screaming for Airachind's blood, Arcee suddenly goes back to ThouShaltNotKill and [[spoiler: simply gets Airachnid locked in a stasis pod.]] Furthermore, Airachnid's Insecticon army is quickly integrated into the Decepticon ranks in the same episode they became a threat. At least in Arcee's defense, [[spoiler:being put into stasis is heavily implied to be a FateWorseThanDeath]].

** Unicron's spark was extinguished by the Matrix of Leadership in the Season 1 finale, so [[spoiler:his sudden return via possessing Megatron (by virtue of the Dark Energon still running through the latter) comes off as little more than a half-assed means by which to give ''Predacons Rising'' a BigBad]].

* CreatorsPet: Miko is loved by Creator/PolygonPictures, the people who animate the show, and hated by a significant portion of the fandom.

** [[Characters/TransformersPrimeUnicronAndTheTerrorcons Unicron]] is an [[AbusivePrecursors ancient entity]] that shared an existence with Primus before both developed their own viewpoints and feelings towards the universe, Unicron choosing to see all life as pointless and beneath himself. Unicron [[OmnicidalManiac waged a path of destruction across the universe]], destroying countless worlds before being plunged into a deep slumber from which the Earth formed around him and gave life to humanity. Upon being awoken by Megatron's efforts, Unicron immediately [[UngratefulBastard denounces the loyal Megatron as worthless to him]], and reveals his plans to destroy the entire Earth and personally enjoy the annihilation of humankind. Although Unicron was beaten, his essence attached to Megatron, and soon takes control of Megatron's corpse—-in the process [[BarredFromTheAfterlife barring the Decepticon from the afterlife]] and keeping him as a toy to be tortured--after which Unicron plans to destroy Cybertron as a final spite against his former brother Primus.

** Some fans of the franchise tended to be much more critical of Frank Welker's performance as Megatron in the G1 cartoon, finding it too screechy and not very intimidating, which wasn't helped by the voice generally not being modified in various tie-ins for the [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries live action films]] where he played the role. In ''Prime'', Welker's voice for the character was [[VocalEvolution completely overhauled]] to be lower and more guttural, which makes Megatron more intimidating, and as Welker himself admitted, gives more emotional range to the character.

* FanPreferredCouple: By far the most popular slash pairing on the show is Knock Out/Breakdown, despite Breakdown having shown interest in Airachnid.
** Oddly enough, on Website/FourChan, the most popular pairing seems to be... [[InterspeciesRomance Jack/Arcee]].
** When Starscream isn't paired up with Megatron (one of most popular pairings in the franchise) he is either paired up with Knockout or, for some fans, [[AscendedMeme Steve the Vehicon]].
** Technically, Jack's crush is Sierra, who shows up in five episodes and only shows interest in Jack after he gets an awesome bike. Her interest ceases after Arcee (in black leather) picks him up in episode 27, and Jack doesn't exactly brood over it. Obviously, it's not developed because the target demographic (and most other viewers in fact) has zero interest in Jack's love life if it doesn't involve Transformers. So even though there's no solid basis, the preferred couple is Jack and Miko. However, Miko is only 15 at the start of the series and 17 at the end.

** It gets taken UpToEleven at the end of "The Human Factor" as he's hauled away for dissection, the same fate he inflicted on Breakdown, Arcee, Bumblebee and Starscream.

** Wheeljack got some popularity for being one of the most badass characters in the series and eventually got fleshed out as a roguish, but loyal cavalier. He ended up joining the main cast in the final season.

** Despite Ratchet dramatically stating that he may never be fully functional again and an episode that was part ClipShow revolving around him (seemingly as a farewell to him), [[spoiler: Bulkhead]] quickly recovers from his GameBreakingInjury a few episodes later. Similarly, his resentment of newbie Smokescreen is introduced in one episode and gone the next.

** [[ChessmasterSidekick Soundwave]] is Megatron's most trusted operative, an oft-silent head of Decepticon communications who uses his position to spy on friend and foe alike to further the Decepticon cause. Regularly thwarting attempts to overthrow Megatron with both tactical surveillance and physical might, Soundwave is always on standby to supply Decepticon troops with transportation and strategic schemes, serving as the primary source of Decepticon victories. Always taking the most pragmatic ways to accomplish his goals, Soundwave contrasts fellow lieutenants Starscream and Airachnid's sadism and cruelty with his own brand of cold efficiency, often forgoing outright physical confrontations in favor of just teleporting entire armies of enemies out of his way. Even when captured and threatened with torture and interrogation by the Autobots, Soundwave just mocks his captors before wiping his own hard drives, fully willing to perish to ensure Decepticon victory.
** [[GeniusBruiser Shockwave]] is the [[MadScientist head scientist]] of the Decepticons, dictating his actions based not on personal feelings, but on logic and greatest chances for success. Established immediately as Starscream's far more competent, threatening rival, Shockwave survives an attempt by Starscream to leave him for dead, instead fully repairing himself and his lab of his own construction using nothing but ruins of Cybertron. Upon finding his way to Earth back into the Decepticon fold, Shockwave quickly proves his usefulness in furthering the groups' schemes, as he creates and unleashes Predaking, outwits the Autobots in retrieving Decepticon artifacts, and even concocts the final plan of the Decepticons in the series, adapting materials from a freak accident to reform Cybertron and return it to prosperity. As efficient physically as mentally, Shockwave thrashes any opponents he faces personally, and cements his status as a truly impressive Decepticon when he singlehandedly convinces the Predacons to fight Unicron alongside the Autobots for the good of Cybertron.

** After spending an entire season and a half screaming for Airachind's blood, Arcee suddenly goes back to ThouShaltNotKill and [[spoiler: simply gets Airachnid locked in a stasis pod.]] Furthermore, Airachnid's Insecticon army is quickly integrated into the Decepticon ranks in the same episode they became a threat.

* CrazyAwesome: [[OneSceneWonder Vogel]]. Firmly believes in the existence of mole men and other subterranean monsters, and uses his sweeper train to run over Decepticons.

* CatharsisFactor: Silas's fate in "Nemesis Prime". Over the course of Season 1 and the first half of Season 2, he mutilates Breakdown for his parts, helps Airachnid try to murder a teenage boy and his mother, nearly disables Bumblebee for life by stealing his T-Cog, tries to personally kill Agent Fowler by sending him off the side of a bridge, and shanks Optimus Prime through the stomach with a sword. And throughout all of these evil acts, he always manages to escape as a KarmaHoudini. In the climax of "Nemesis Prime", [[spoiler:[[KarmaHoudiniWarranty he finally gets exactly what he deserves]] when Optimus causes his very own Frankenstein's monster to fall on top of him from several stories up, and it very nearly crushes him to death.]] It is immensely satisfying.
