* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Cody has moments of these during Season 2 and 3.
** "My Sister's Keeper". He outright hits on Woody's younger sister Willa and insists on dating her, only because of her looks, then breaks up with her because she's a female Woody. It also doesn't help that he acts rude toward Woody when he tries to talk him out of it all while still revealed to be having feelings for Bailey in a later episode, with the episode expecting you to side with Cody.

** Bailey in "Breakup in Paris". The narrative tries to depict this as BothSidesHaveAPoint, but you're more inclined to side with Cody. Cody had simply wanted their first anniversary to go without a hitch and practice with London, the last girl he would cheat with. Bailey catches Cody supposedly cheating on her, and rather than do the rational thing like confront him or talk to Moseby or London, she cheats on him with a French citizen who had expressed interest in her. During the fight, Cody brings up several valid points: that he had given her no reason to believe he would cheat on her and actively staved off the advances of other girls even before they were dating. Rather than bring up Cody's {{Jerkass}} behavior throughout season 2, which would've given her a valid argument that she wanted a reason to distrust him after their constant fighting, she gets hung up on the alleged cheating. After this, the two get into fights over other things, and again, Cody comes up as more right. He was right that she always looks for the upper hand in their relationship, and while he did call her stupid, she didn't exactly show good judgment for someone of his intellectual equal. Her arguments are that her chemistry grade is higher than his and that he broke her science fair project, and this falls flat because Cody seemed sincere in his claims that it was an accident, and he does tend to be accident-prone. No one's saying they ''shouldn't'' have broken up, but the attempt at making Bailey look sympathetic falls flat.

* InformedWrongness: Bailey's coverage of the male employees making more than the female employees seems a bit taken out of context. By this point, the only female employees shown were to be Connie the activities director and Miss Tuttweiler the teacher. Activities coordinators typically make $33,750 a year and high school teachers $65,800 a year. The men who work there are show to be Captain Lunsord, the operating crew, and Mr. Moseby. A cruise ship captain makes $96,000 a year and cruise directors can make anywhere from $60,000 to $89,000 a year. Mr. Moseby's predecessor was Ms. Klotz, who was a woman and presumably fired for a good reason since she implied she was a serial BlackWidow. It comes off more that the men just work the higher paying busy work of the ship and the women just work more the lower paying amenities.
* JerkassWoobie: London Tipton TookALevelInJerkass around Season 2, but seeing what led up to it can really make you understand why. While it's understandable her father wanted her to stop skipping school, he simply dropped her off on a boat to get rid of her, even though it has been shown repeatedly that his lack of presence is why she turned out the way she did. To make matters worse, London admired the limelight in the original series due to how it gave her some way to fill the void. Being on a cruise ship most of the time, this is borderline impossible. While Moseby is shown to care deeply about her, he has to focus on his job and can only do so much. With all this, it's easy to see her attitude as a coping mechanism for being in a situation she feels completely hopeless about getting out of.

** Moseby's ridiculous dancing, particularly how [[LaughTrack one guy in the audience]] sounds like he's having the time of his life.

** Jessica and Janice are pretty popular due to the Rosso twins being very pretty, despite the fact that they really didn't have any personality traits until On Deck.
