* GameBreaker: Each class has a build or two that is exceptionally efficient, but the cake goes to the Phongistoneer who can learn to spam the most powerful AoE ability (which is normally on a long cooldown) constantly while maintaining massive damage buffs and an invulnerability shield, and never running out of mana. Getting there isn't easy, mind you, as this build requires not only a high level but meticulous item minmaxing and good button mashing skills to maintain the combo, but once you master it, enjoy permanent god mode on any difficulty.

Added DiffLines:

* BoringButPractical: Professor Fulmigatti's mad science is responsible for a variety of "Crazy Awesome" monsters, like electric werewolves and giant toad centaurs. When General Harker gains access to the late Professor's know-how, he instead starts producing pretty standard mechanical soldiers, drones and walking tanks. Guess which army is more effective. Lampshaded by Van Helsing who is disappointed that Harker's DoomsdayDevice turns out a drilling platform and not a giant robotic monster.

Added DiffLines:

* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: An extremely rare case since {{ActionRPG}}s tend to be the opposite. The gameplay itself isn't bad at all, classes are well-designed and fighting various types of enemies is a lot of fun, however, the Story Mode (which is usually considered a tutorial at best in Diablo-like games) is where most of the creators' efforts went, having a solid plot with interesting turns, and truly masterfully written dialogues. The Adventure Mode, on the other hand, is extremely lackluster, the post-Story endgame is boring with its low variety of activities, class sets are poorly balanced and farming them is excessively grindy (it takes 3 weeks of daily quests to earn a piece). Once you beat the final boss for the first time, you can consider tha game finished rather than just beginning.

Added DiffLines:

* DemonicSpiders: Any sort of ranged enemy can be a nightmare to fight. They can out range you and do enough damage that they can kill you in seconds ''and'' before they're even on screen.

Added DiffLines:

* ObviousJudas: It couldn't be anymore obvious that Prisoner Seven is plotting to backstab you the moment you meet him. Ignoring that he just flat out [[ObviouslyEvil looks evil]] and sounds like [[WesternAnimation/InspectorGadget Dr. Claw]], he's constantly pushing to do the most evil actions to defeat General Harker. Then there's the fact that he's suspiciously interested in Koschei the Deathless and it's not hard to put two and two together.

* GoddamnedBats: Undead enemies that have the ability to resurrect. It's just annoying having to kill them over and over and they almost always come in large groups.

Wrong page, I was almost sure that They Just Didnt Care was a YMMV, but it's a Trivia.

* SpiritualAdaptation: Some have noticed this game bears a striking resemblance to the [[Film/VanHelsing movie]]. Both feature a gothic, steampunk supernatural Europe, a protagonist called "''Gabriel'' (instead of Abraham, his original name) Van Helsing", and both Van Helsings wear a wide-brim hat with fabric covering his mouth.
* TheyJustDidntCare: Translated texts and subtitles of the French version of the game show that this translation didn't received a lot of work. The obvious flaws include occasional typos, huge grammatical mistakes in the names of item tiers (name-adjective being written in the wrong order), untranslated parts in items and monsters' names, and Van Helsing and Katarina are indecisive whether they use [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%E2%80%93V_distinction "tu" or "vous"]] during their constant banter.
