* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Once Jack, Sam, and Daniel have reached the near-pinnacle of their enhancements, Anise informs General Hammond that the Tok'ra have recently received intelligence about a powerful prototype mothership Apophis is building, and SG-1's new abilities would be very useful in destroying it. Hammond immediately accuses Anise, and the Tok'ra in general, of having planned the whole thing to have a superpowered SG-1 do their dirty work for them. Anise actually let's Freya (her host) attempt to convince Hammond that she, at least, had no knowledge of this before starting the experiment. Hammond doesn't believe her. Whether Anise/Freya was aware before starting the experiment, or the High Council was and allowed her to proceed to achieve this outcome, or whether it really all was just fortuitous timing, is never definitively stated.
