* AnticlimaxBoss: Geluve. She makes a big show when she first appears, killing both Megido and Hal while barely lifting a finger, which implies she's far more powerful than both of them. But when she sets her sights on you, she turns out to be really simple, attacking by largely just throwing endless [[{{Mooks}} Spectres and Peepers]] at Shyna, or using masses of them as CombatTentacles. She's the easiest of all the potential final bosses to defeat, and is arguably easier than many mid-game bosses.
* CultClassic: It's not as well known as many of Treasure's other games, but it still has a sizeable fanbase.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: The game has plenty of biblical references, minor swearing, alcohol use, and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world caused by a biological holocaust. Its rating? E for Everyone.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotSymbolic: Even in the Creator/WorkingDesigns version, the game has loads of Biblical references and symbolism, save for an image of a cross behind flames near the end (it was changed with tyrannosaurus rex-like monster). They even outright refer to one character, Clod, as Armageddon.

* GameBreaker: Surosa. At Level 1 it's your basic pea-shooter, ineffective against most enemies but consuming very little energy with each shot. At max level, however, it becomes far and away the best weapon in the game with automatic rapid fire, very high damage output, and has no equal in draining Spirit from enemies to add to your own supply. It can even wipe out 90% of the bosses in the game in mere seconds.
** The best part? You can earn this weapon at max level in the second section of the very first stage of the game (just find the hidden shop at the top of the cave and grind out a mere 300 gold from [[RespawningEnemies the constantly-respawning Spectres]] nearby).

Mercy Mode is not YMMV. Also, there was a bit of censorship in the English version before fighting Cypher.

* MercyMode: The easier difficulties only become available once you've completed all five story paths on the game. Better yet, once you enter the newly-unlocked Options menu, you learn that you were playing the ''second-highest difficulty'' the entire time.

Silhouette Mirage has a game breaker in the form of Surosa. Now at Level 1 it's your basic pea-shooter, ineffective against most enemies but consuming very little energy with each shot. At max level, however, it becomes far and away the best weapon in the game with automatic rapid fire, very high damage output, and has no equal in draining Spirit from enemies to add to your own supply. It can even wipe out 90% of the bosses in the game in mere seconds. The best part? You can earn this weapon at max level in the second section of the very first stage of the game - just find the hidden shop at the top of the cave and grind out a mere 300 gold from the constantly-respawning Spectres nearby, and it's yours.

Silhouette Mirage is also an example of Mercy Mode, as the easier difficulties only become available once you've completed all five story paths on the game. Better yet, once you enter the newly-unlocked Options menu, you learn that you were playing the ''second-highest difficulty'' the entire time.
