* HarsherInHindsight: Morty being put on trial for something he's obviously guilty for, getting off and then instantly winning over the court of public opinion by [[BrownNote making noises with his throat]] may seem weird to watch after Morty's creator and voice actor was put on trial for domestic assault, had the case thrown out due to insufficient evidence but didn't so easily win over the court of public opinion.

Thuis isn't about a wasted character, this is just a complaint about how the show should use a 30-second joke to make a better Take That to better support that troper's personal political views.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: While a jab at the toxic fandom was perhaps long overdue, Fascist Morty doesn't quite get to the heart of the problems caused by them. Their problems are generally related to fans thinking that Rick's attitude towards others is an admirable trait, and their harassment of female writers on Twitter and [=McDonald=]'s employees during the Szechuan sauce riots, not refusal to be challenged by the show and rising alt-right sentiment. Most alt-right people hate Rick and Morty due to being the brainchild of the liberal Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, which is just as well. While such things perhaps sum up some of the major problems in modern comic book and Star Wars fandom near-perfectly, they're not quite relevant to Rick and Morty. The Fascist Morty scene might've been better serviced with a scene where C-137!Rick is forced to go on an adventure with a fratbro Rick and Morty duo that act in a pseudo-intellectual manner and behave in a sexist way towards their Beth and Summer that not even C-137!Rick finds acceptable.

* CrossesTheLineTwice: The Wasp Smith Family eating Caterpillar Goldenfold. As if it isn't completely horrifying as he's being eaten alive slowly, he gives birth, and can do nothing as Wasp Morty quickly devours his younglings...And throughout all this, The Wasp Smith Family is shown as a completely loving family.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: As seen in the page image, Revolio Clockberg Jr. only appears in that one scene, without doing or saying anything, not even being acknowledged by the others, just to be shot and killed.
