* BrokenBase: The battle of Heracles vs Jack the Ripper, unlike the other fights (where the audience generally cheered for the champion of humankind), has divided the readers completely. From Heracles's side, his supporters claim that Heracles, the pinnacle of justice and goodwill among the Gods, should win against Jack, who is a scumbag and a vicious Serial Killer with no empathy, also arguing that he's fighting for humankind and that he will try to convince the Gods to spare humanity, while Jack's camp accuses Heracles of being a massive hypocrite that, despite claiming fighting to save the humans, choose to fight for the Gods, and that his victory would lead humanity a step closer to utter annihilation, preferring to root for the [[EvilISCool cooler and sophisticated Jack]], who at least will bring victory to humankind despite being evil. This seems to be an IntendedAudienceReaction, as, even in the own manga, some of the humans wonder many times if they should root for a despicable individual like Jack, while Heracles's former human friends are completely rooting for his friend despite that his victory may contribute to their disappearance.

*** Also, the self-destructive strain that the technique cause in the body of the user is so strong that Zeus is always at risk of dying if he overuses it. [[spoiler: This is what eventually causes Adam to die, as a mortal body is simply unable to keep up with the effects of the technique.]]

*** The expressions of [[NightmareFace unrestrained rage]] from Jack's mother Mary after she finds out that Jack Smith married with another woman (thus breaking the promise he made to her) are worth mentioning. Unlike the more silly faces the manga usually features, those are expressions of pure, unadulterated anger, not unlike those of a wild beast. From the point of view of young Jack, it must have been both shocking and terrifying (though he quickly gets over it... in his own way).

*** His [[EstablishingCharacterMoment introductory scene]] in the first chapter deserves a special mention. While at first he appears as a harmless elder, once Brunhilde mentions the idea of Ragnarok, due his excitement at the idea of show humans the might of the Gods, he crush the skull of his pet dragon with only one of his hands, then, after asking all of the Gods present what they think of the idea, he then proceeds to slam the ground of the Valhalla council while making an insane expression, destroying it completely.
*** It is also worth mentioning that, before his figh with Adam, he was able to subjugate Shiva (who is one of the strongest Gods) with a single hand, and without bulking up. It doesn't takes much time for [[KnowWhenToFoldEm Shiva to retreat]] once he realizes that Zeus is really serious about fighting in this round, [[TheDreaded prefering to avoid a confrontation with him]].

** While its appearance is brief, this depiction of Cerberus is truly worthy of guarding the Underworld. We only see its three heads and the only thing it does is [[FusionDance fusing with Heracles]], but its heads with [[ExtraEyes three pairs of eyes]] and its [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily humongous teeth]] are enough to make you wish to not to see its full size.

** From the human side of the spectrum, we have [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters Jack the Ripper]]. At first, Jack presents himself as a [[AffablyEvil polite individual with a gentlemanly behaviour]], but under that facade lies a merciless SerialKiller with little regard for the lives of other people, who loves to see the feelings of fear of his victims before murdering them. He also has an habit of singing creepy nursery rhymes at any chance he has, which makes him more unnerving. To make things worse, he's also very cunning, which makes him devise [[CombatPragmatist many twisted strategies]] to beat his rival Heracles.

** Despite her brief role in the series, Anne, the drunk prostitute who was kind to Jack in his past is well-liked because she was the only person who cared for him when he was a child, and because she's one of the few people supporting Jack in his fight agaisnt Heracles, even defending him against those who were badmouthing Jack.
* EvilIsCool: Jack the Ripper is this in spades. Despite being a deranged serial killer, his [[AffablyEvil gentlemanly and polite behaviour]], coupled with his design and his [[CombatPragmatist cunning in battle]] (that managed to [[spoiler: make him seriously wound Heracles through their fight despite being inferior to him in strength]]) quickly garnered him the support of many fans despite being the most evil of the human combatants presented in the tournament.

** This is basically the whole battle of Lü Bu and Thor. Bored of winning easily against weak oponents and having becoming the strongest of their respective worlds, [[LonelyAtTheTop they felt empty and unsatisfied with their lives]], so, after meeting an oponent who could give them a challenge, they took it gladly. Their battle is basically both of them having the time of their lives as they beat the crap out of each other..
