* AdaptationalDisplacement: The phrase "If your lights are on then they'll come find you, and rip you a brand new face" is from a jingle on the record player from One Night at Flumpty's 2, but most people associate it with the fansong "Flumpty's Jam" by Creator/DAGames.

** In the second game you can find dead characters from other franchises. Of note is a Freddy Fazbear head mounted on your wall which plays the same honk noise from the first four Five Nights at Freddy's games when you click on it.

* GoodBadBugs: Not so much a bug as a design oversight: as with its predecessors Foxy and the Beaver, the Owl's attack is triggered either by viewing a specific camera while it's attacking, or after a significant time delay. Because closing the vents in this game doesn't consume power, this means that if the Owl disappears from its usual spot and the vent you check isn't the one it's attacking from, you can simply close the other vent and wait out the time delay. This has the effect of spacing the Owl's attacks much farther apart, giving you more time to monitor the other enemies and reducing the threat it poses (though since the vent it chooses is random, it's still a guess as to whether or not you can exploit it effectively).

* OvershadowedByControversy: On November 8, 2021, series creator Jonochrome got exposed for grooming a 13 year old girl, with screenshots containing very creepy and manipulative behavior. Because of this happening shortly after the release of One Night at Flumpty's 3, the game quickly dwindled in popularity afterwards, with Jonochrome leaving the internet claiming to seek therapy.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: Some fan artists have percieved the Owl as a girl, despite every character including him being officially referred to with masculine pronouns.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: Some fan artists have percieved the Owl as a girl, despite every character including him being officially referred to with masculine pronouns. That being said, some have intentionally done this to diversify the cast further.
