For example, the altered chorus for "Closer," originally about a couple having sex "in the backseat of your Rover that I know you can't afford" and on stolen bedsheets, now has kids romantically singing about ''standing'' against a Rover "that I know you can't afford" (which is now CaptainObvious since they're ''kids'') and ''ripping sheets out of a stolen notebook.''

* JustHereForGodzilla: Many older people listen to the covers just to laugh at the lyrical changes, or [[SoBadItsGood ironically enjoy]] hearing kids get away with singing child-unfriendly songs for the MemeticMutation.

* OlderThanTheDemographic: Despite most of the singers being preadolescents, their main demographic is five-to-nine-year-olds.
