* FridgeHorror: In the second episode, "The Commander", it makes sense why the Saniwa has to return to the Citadel since their hand was seen briefly fading away and they can't stay in the past for too long. Had they not returned to the Citadel, the Saniwa will either fade out of existence or suffer a worst fate.

** In the second episode, "Commander", Mutsunokami takes out his frustrations on an already dead Revisionist by shooting it repeatedly. Who can blame the guy, he just witnessed slaughter of so many innocent lives by the Revisionists.

I removed fan preferred couple because the show has not been airing long enough to determine who is shipped most often with who and has no basis as of right now. I also removed a trope listed under nightmare fuel because it didn't seem appropriate enough to be listed as a nightmare fuel inducing scene. Some of the things listed on this page are bias and have no basis yet in general

* FanPreferredCouple: Izuminokami and Horikawa. Of course they were the swords of one of Shingensumi's leaders, Hijikata Toshizō. The fans absolutely loves them.

** At the end of second episode, "The Commander", it was revealed by Izuminokami that the Revisionists wasn't targeting Historic figures, but to start a war between Japan and the foreigners. That can't not be good.

** Almost out of the starting gate, with how Horikawa is portrayed in this adaptation. Since he's been newly summoned and is taking some pointers from Izuminokami, some fans think their dynamic is reversed from that of the game and that Horikawa's relative inexperience takes away the knowledge and efficiency he had as the game version. Others are happy to see Horikawa with characterization that isn't completely centered around praising Izuminokami, and yet still others are calling him a retread of ''[[Anine/ToukenRanbuHanamaru Hanamaru]]'''s portrayal of Yamatonokami Yasusada.
