** Volume 4. Being the point where the polarizing [[BaseBreakingCharacter Aika]] was introduced, but also right before the point [[FranchiseOriginalSin the writing took a dive for the worst]], leading to mixed opinions for this volume. Depending on who you ask, this is either the last good volume or the beginning of the SeasonalRot.

* BrokenBase: The final chapters, either they save the series from the ArcFatigue it was suffering by giving everyone satisfactory send offs or is a case of getting the secondary cast StrangledByTheRedString and the resolution of Fuyuhiko and Kanade's relationship was too little, too late.

The issue is that by this point Fuyuhiko already knows he likes Kanade and that she likes him back, meaning that he doesn't really have any reason not to confess to her, yet he spends the second half of the manga leaving their relationship in a limbo, because he CannotSpitItOut]], frustrating a lot of viewers. Depending on the fan, this is justified because of his insecurities and he manages to be a likable character despite that or you see him as a idiotic wimp that's causing unnecessary conflict and hurting Kanade for no good reason.

One side have come to see her as a tragic heroine and a victim of her own LovingBully nature who, despite recognizing how unhealthy her treatment of Fuyuhiko is and trying to distance herself from him because of it, [[UnrequitedLoveLastsForever still can't quite let go of her feelings for her childhood crush]]. It helps that as we get further into the series we see signs that she really does care about Fuyuhiko, like her saving him from Tzuka or helping him and Kanade clear up their misunderstandings [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy so they can be happy together]]. Others feel this doesn't make up for the long history of abuse she's put Fuyuhiko through, especially since the series has made such a big deal about how traumatized he is from all the bullying he's suffered, and the fact that she never sincerely apologizes for her actions or ever really ''stops'' only makes matters worse. As a result, there are some fans who sympathize with her and hope that she'll find her happy ending, while others groan every time she makes an appearance and just wish she'd be PutOnABus already.
** As a HateSink in her introductory arc, there's also mixed opinions. Either she was a well executed antagonist or was forced and think that none of the characters (who are notable deliquents) simply intimidating her or beating her up so she stop being a problem is a huge case of everyone catching the IdiotBall

* SeasonalRot: The portion of the manga following [[spoiler: the clarification of the SustainedMisunderstanding]] is considered weaker that what came before, mostly because it focus less on the development of Fuyuhiko and Kanade's relationship and the sweet interactions between them and more on [[spoiler: Fuyuhiko's inability to confess and the series of contrived situations that avert him to do so]] which a lot of readers felt it was a dragged and much less entertaining conflict that make the manga became more of an run-of-the-mill romcom lacking the aspects that made the first half a much more unique series.

* ArcFatigue: [[spoiler: After chapter 44, the SustainedMisunderstanding is clarified and the only thing stopping the RelationshipUpgrade is Fuyuhiko's unabilty to confess his feelings, which is pretty much the driving conflict of the next 33 chapters, more that a few viewers felt the whole conflict was dragged for at least 10 chapters more that it needed to be, especially with Matsuri and Tasuku getting their respective LoveEphipany and confessions towards their respective love interests in very few chapters in comparison]].
