* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: While it's a bit justified, given ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker'''s reception was notably more negative that of the previous installments of the Sequel Trilogy, many fans were dissapointed that the gimmick of the Honest Trailers of the previous two movies of having Gannon Nickell and Jon Bailey debating whatever the movie was good or not was dropped in favour of making a more traditional honest trailer.

* HePannedItNowHeSucks: Some people missing the satire element is an inherent risk of that type of comedy, but the more caustic videos that don't really hide the writers' disdain or bias for a movie or video game will get more of it due to people feeling they are going on a personal tangent rather than trying to create an entertaining video.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Honest Game Trailers got this reaction when it moved to Fandom Games and stopped being voiced by Jon Bailey, with many demanding he be brought back and the inital trailer that was done under Fandom (''VideoGame/{{Anthem}}'') being generally poorly recieved for lacking a lot of his comedic delivery and timing. Afterwards, Fandom did a rotating cast of guest narrators for the next nine trailers, before ultimately settling on Brad Venable from ''VideoGame/WolfensteinYoungblood'' onwards. Venable was, while still divisive, generally warmly received by viewers for striking a balance between going for a similar style to Bailey while still putting his own spin on it, helping allievate this complaint. After Venable sadly passed away early in 2021, Bailey ultimately took over the Honest Game Trailers once again.

* AnimationAgeGhetto: In the ''Series/{{Ahsoka}}'' trailer, the narrator firmly goes into this by mocking fans who still like ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'' and ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels'' for not having developed more mature interests since they were children. The trailer for ''Series/TheMandalorian'' Season 3 also mocks Dave Filoni for bringing in characters and concepts from the animated series he helmed for the same reasons.
