* FunnyAneurysmMoment: G-Saviour's infamy is somewhat reignited since half of the people decided to make a poll of the Hollywood Studio making another live-action Gundam series since the [[spoiler:RX-78-2's appearance in Film/ReadyPlayerOne]].

* HilariousInHindsight: Let's see. A mobile suit named Freedom, and an AnimeThemeSong titled "Orb". [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED Ring any bells?]] Also, the [=GINNs=] in ''SEED'' look a hell lot like the Bugus.

* FanonDiscontinuity: Did you read the main and trivia pages?

** Then there's the CGI mobile suits[[note]]which were animated by regular ''Franchise/StarTrek'' effects firm Digital Muse[[/note]]. While they look pretty decent (Key word being "''look''"). Their slow movements and actions (when compared to other ''Gundam'' shows or games) murder the awesomeness of the battle scenes.

* CanonDiscontinuity: Downplayed. Sunrise has said "we don't like to talk about G-Saviour" in the past, and they haven't mentioned it since. However, Gundam doesn't have a strict wall between "canon" and "non-canon," and it hasn't been explicitly contradicted by anything made since, either.
** On the other hand, the film itself makes ''GaiaGear'' non-canon. Given that ''GaiaGear'' is basically UC Gundam and Metal Gear Solid 2 thrown in a blender, this is [[InternetBackdraft a bit of a sticking point over the film.]]

* FridgeLogic[=/=]InsaneTrollLogic: The movie ends with [[spoiler:Mark returning to Earth to prove his innocence regarding the murder of the prison guard. And Cynthia volunteers to go with him. He appears to have forgotten that he has betrayed CONSENT by:]]

* SpecialEffectFailure: It's clearly raining in the airbase, yet all of the actors are completely dry. Also, the CGI mobile suits are pretty decent, but their slow movement and action (when compared to other ''Gundam'' shows or games) murders the awesomeness of the battle scenes.
