Critical Research Failure is now a disambiguation page.

* CriticalResearchFailure:
** The author tries to make Dennagon seem smart by making him recite scientific facts. This backfires at times, such as when he claims that "velocity is distance multiplied by time". For reference velocity is distance divided by time.
** There are several in regard to altitude and air pressure. For example early on Dennagon is said to be flying one thousand miles high. For reference the International Space Station averages out at a quarter of that.
** The characters at one point use their wings to fly to the moon. There is just no way a celestial body can orbit within another celestial body's atmosphere, drag would make it lose momentum and crash. Leaving that aside, the moon orbits Earth at a distance of 380,000 kilometers. Depending on the dragons' flight speed, it would take them weeks or even months to travel that far, not to mention that their wings would be absolutely useless in the vacuum of space.

”This is the acceleration of an object near the Earth's surface, not force. The force of gravity throughout space varies according to the mass of and distance from celestial bodies.

** As stated, there are a lot of points where the author tries to make Dennagon seem intelligent by reciting, learning, and musing over scientific facts. A lot of the times (and every time these facts are actually discussed) these smart people facts are high or lower school physics and Dennagon contemplating or just learning them makes him look like a dumbass. Like this gem.

** The writing is full of PurpleProse, MeaninglessMeaningfulWords and SesquipedalianLoquaciousness. Case in point:
--> Upon the Mesozoic verdure, the sun cast its dawn light, giving life to the hovering woodland realm in the form pf photosynthetic vitality that sparkled betwixt the morning arbor.
** After quite a bit of Purple Prose, we get this gem:
--> Dennagon trudged through the grass, his noggin aching.
** This is how Dennagon reacts when he's surprised:
--> Dennagon felt like taking a dump. Luckily, he hadn’t any fecal matter left in his stomach.
