Natter, and most games at the time didn't have good multi GPU support. Besides, that's not really related to porting from another platform anyways

** Unfortunately, it still doesn't play well with SLI or Crossfire, often requiring it to be completely disabled.

No hindsight since the fanfic came out several years before this game. There's also the matter of how, with enough fanfics being written, one of them is bound to "predict" a few details

** Plenty in regards to the crossover fanfic ''Fanfic/MassEffectHumanRevolution'':
*** When Koller (the BackAlleyDoctor who maintains Jensen's augs) discovers that he has a bunch of never-before seen implants hidden in his body, he declares, "The shit I found hidden inside you, spliced into your system like that, looks to me like it's from Mars, man!" In ''Mass Effect: Human Revolution'', Jensen's genetic modifications, which enable him to bond flawlessly with implants, [[spoiler:are suggested to be of [[{{Precursor}} Prothean]] origin]].
*** Five of the new augs Jensen gets in ''Mankind Divided'' are [[BulletTime Focus Enhancement]], [[FoeTossingCharge Icarus]] [[FlashStep Dash]], [[{{Technopath}} Remote Hacking]], [[MagicTool Micro Assembler]] and [[InstantArmor TITAN Shield]]. In the fic, Jensen gains the ability to [[SuperDetailedFightNarration slow down time during fistfights]], [[Franchise/MassEffect Biotic Charge]] (called [[VideoGame/ZoneOfTheEnders Zero Shift]] in-universe), [[VideoGame/{{Syndicate}} Breach]], and he makes extensive use of an Omni-Tool (one of his hobbies is ''fabricating new limbs for himself''). One of the antagonists uses black nano-armor in a flashback.
*** Later in the fic, Jensen and his allies have to look for a floppy disk reading machine because some vital information left behind by someone else had been recorded on a floppy disk. [[spoiler: In one of the side-missions for ''Mankind Divided'', Jensen recovered a floppy disk containing important data and that requires him to search for a reader machine among the shops in Prague to read the aforementioned data.]] Coincidence? Or possibly a reference to the crossover fanfiction? With that in mind, it should be noted that the author of that fanfic was a former Eidos employee (or contractor) who was involved with the development of ''Deus Ex: Human Revolution''. Who's to say that maybe some of his old colleagues may be reading his writings...

* OvershadowedByControversy: Everything else about the game's release was overshadowed by discussion about the game's monetization model. This included a confusing number of different editions with different content being sold, accusations that the "Breach" game mode was included mainly to drum up its upcoming release as a standalone action-puzzle game and that the story was deliberately chopped up into pieces to conform to Square-Enix's plan for episodic game releases, similar to the ''[[VideoGame/WorldOfAssassinationTrilogy Hitman: World of Assassination Trilogy]]'' that had its first game come out the same y ear.

** When Jensen asks Sarif about his newly discovered hidden implants, Sarif's first reaction is a drawn-out "Whaaat?" accompanied with rapid head-shaking like he's a freaking cartoon character. It makes it very difficult to take anything about the ensuing conversation seriously.

** The Church of the Machine God is only examined further superficially if you choose to save the bomb maker instead of the Orchid cure - and otherwise, you are only treated to a “dying declaration” of sorts if you chose the Heist instead. However, the premise could have been continued - a quasi religion appeals to disaffected Augs to assimilate in and become more machine than human. It could have explored TheSingularity, common fears about it, offering itself as a contrast to the ARC, possibly it being another Illuminati scheme to enslave Augs etc.

It may also be a CallBack to the trailer for ''VideoGame/DeusExHumanRevolution'', which portrayed him as Icarus.

* HarsherInHindsight: An in-universe example: when Adam meets Rucker in his office at Utulek Station, the latter says that Adam is being used by [[AncientConspiracy the Illuminati]], and that the real enemies are hidden in the shadows. [[spoiler:In TheStinger, it's revealed that Adam is being used (unknowingly) by Lucius Debeers and Dr. Auzenne in order to contact Janus, thus leading the Illuminati right to their biggest enemy]].

** Out-of-universe, Marchenko's backstory as a Ukrainian nationalist who got in trouble with pro-Russian forces following the Russian annexation of Ukraine rings a lot more relevant following the real-life attempted Russian annexation of Ukraine in 2022. This is downplayed somewhat, as the events in Donbas that led to the 2022 war were already in motion when the game was made. Still, a full Russian annexation attempt on the country seemed unlikely to most people back then.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: After the "Augment your Pre-order" program was widely criticized by fans, Square-Enix listened to the complaints and cancelled the program. The game will now be released on the same day for everyone, and ALL of the pre-order content that was to be a part of the program will now be available to anyone to who pre-orders. As of January 2017, the pre-order content is now available to anyone that owns Mankind Divided.

* GameBreaker: The Micro-Assembler augmentation. The ability to break down almost ''anything'' in your inventory into crafting parts, plus cut down on the amount of parts needed to craft items, means you'll never run out of things like Biocells. Use it in ''A Criminal Past'' or ''System Rift'', and it completely unbalances the gameplay, turning much of it into a cakewalk.
