* HumansAreBastards: Let's face it: all the people in this movie act with extreme hostility at best and brutal violence at worst. ''To (basically) themselves. For no real reason.'' In all possible universes but one (and even that lucky one is probably more a case of IgnoranceIsBliss than anything else). Granted, the entire situation is very confusing and unsettling, but the ''total lack'' of any attempts at civilized communication (let alone cooperation) with "them" - not even out of mere curiosity if nothing else - is still appalling.

* HarsherInHindsight: The whole meta-humour about Nicholas Brendon playing a former star actor that ruined his career due to alcohol abuse stopped being funny almost instantly after the film was released, since he was arrested for a drunk stint in Boise, Idaho, and then went on a rehab. His alcohol problems went only worse since then. If that wasn't enough, ''Coherence'' is his last major appearance.
