* NightmareFuel: The [=VINs=] are surprisingly creepy, being mass-produced identical white robot cars who have barcodes printed on their sides, {{Machine Monotone}}s, and no personality of their own. The cutscene in which they're introduced reveals - [[SurprisingCreepyMoment complete with ominous-sounding mechanical music]] - that they are actually Chick's students, who all went through a giant factory to become [=VINs=], [[CyberneticsEatYourSoul losing their personalities and identities]] in the process. By the end of the game, they have replaced Chick's students altogether - with one race even having Lightning race against only [=VINs=] - and it's never revealed what [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse happened to them by the end of the game]].

* ThatOneLevel: The Guido Kart Races are the most difficult game modes compared to others. The controls are pure trash, it veers itself to the right and spins out making winning races very difficult especially in the sixth race of the series. There's even a [[ThatOneAchievement achievement/trophy]] named "Crowd Karter" which you must place 3rd or better in Guido Kart Races.
