** Also in the GoldenEnding route, [[spoiler: while not as notorious as ''Rising GARUDA'', the rematch with Kanna in the EIR comes pretty close. In ''II'', the fight could be trivialized using the Burn Spark. You don't have that ability this time around, meaning you'll have to actually learn Kanna's patterns and attacks. Even so, the fight isn't too bad until you've knocked out half of her first health bar. And that's when all hell breaks loose. She and Yacopu hop out briefly to call forth the alternate Kannas who will rain down fruit onto the battlefield, with none of it being beneficial for you. The watermelon bombs are self-explanatory, but other fruit can heal the EIR, or give it a super mode that makes it grow to gargantuan size. Leaving the fruit alone isn't an option. You have to work to destroy them. But they ''constantly'' rain down. And all the while Kanna is bum rushing you in the EIR. It's one of the most chaotic fights in the game, if not the whole series.]]
* SequelDifficultySpike: Third time is the charm, the endgame route for the True Ending is much harder than the previous two titles, you are suddenly piloting [[spoiler:a basic Metal Attacker by virtue of playing as Kane while having to face more powerful versions of Gonbei, Kanna, Stein and Leibniz who sided with Jason and Eve]].

* DifficultySpike: [[spoiler:Area ??? is a massive jump in difficulty compared to the rest of the game; unlike everywhere else, you're given the Metal Attacker, which is severely underequipped compared to the G-SOPHIA SV, and you are pitted against the MA pilots from ''Zero II'', who are even ''stronger'' than in the previous game and will make mincemeat out of you if you don't play like the AcePilot that Kane Gardner is meant to be.]]

Added DiffLines:

* SequelDifficultySpike: ''Zero III'' is by far the hardest game in the series. In addition to Jason's kit once again getting toned down, maps are substantially more complex due to the introduction of super-dimensional space, enemies are far more aggressive and plentiful, and bosses have ''multiple'' health bars now instead of one and have more complex attack patterns, making fights longer and more difficult.

* FridgeBrilliance: When Leibniz brings up fighting Kanna in the EIR back in ''Blaster Master Zero II'' and losing, Jason muses that with Leibniz piloting a lightspeed bomber opposed to a mostly melee attacker, Kanna should have been the one at a disadvantage. And the player might think that as well, if you don't consider the circumstances behind the fight. Whenever you fight GARUDA in ''II'', it's in a wide open area where Leibniz can take full advantage of GARUDA's strengths. When you fight EIR, however, it's in an enclosed area, where GARUDA would be at a severe ''disadvantage'' due to being unable to make use of its full capabilities.

** The TrueFinalBoss [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJQDgT7XrS4 theme]] is a remix of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdbIkaWrzx4 boss]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqfWnScVP-4 themes]] from the original ''VideoGame/BlasterMaster'', and it's epic!

* FridgeBrilliance: The original "Blaster Master" title was [=MetaFight=], but was entirely overshadowed by the more creative changes the American localization made, and the latter thereof caused the entire series to be rebranded. [[spoiler: In the final battle, when choosing between Jason and the SOPHIA or Kane and the Metal Attacker, their ''respective titles' logos'' appear with them. The final battle is quite literally Blaster Master vs [=MetaFight=]!]
