[[spoiler: Her father dies, she has to become queen while her kingdom is under attack, she is betrayed by almost every major character except for the main heroes, she has to watch as many of her friends and subjects are killed, she isn't allowed to marry Jason and when she tries to do so anyway she is forced to watch as her boyfriend is sentenced to death. When she saves Jason from execution she is arrested, nearly killed, and forced to live as a fugitive while her WickedStepmother rules her kingdom with an iron fist. She is forced to watch as Jason nearly turns to the dark side, and even when she and Jason get married their love is shaken by the fear that Medea has a bond with Jason and may yet worm her way into his heart.]] It's a full on TraumaCongaLine!
