That's a trivia trope

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The show [[https://forums.delphiforums.com/toughpigs/messages/17749/1 was originally going to be called “Alma’s Mind” and would feature a live-action host (played by Sonia Manzano)]]

** The ''Alma'' fandom gets along great with the ''WesternAnimation/RosiesRules'' fandom due to these shows being very similar.

To quote the page, "Do not link to this on the wiki, please. Not even under the YMMV tab."

* SugarWiki/DevelopmentHeaven: The animators from Creator/PipelineStudios actually visited the Bronx to get a feel for the setting they would recreate in cartoon form. The end result is a very detailed, accurate setting with icons like the Number 6 train. In regards to Eddie, who has cerebral palsy, the series' medical advisers actually wrote up a two-page medical chart for him.

* AlternateAesopInterpretation: The moral of "Alma the Artist" is supposed to be "speak up," but it can also be interpreted as "ask for people's permission to change things" or "you must stifle your creativity in order to please the majority."

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The very infectious opening theme. Even Alma's rap portion has some great bars. Creator/LinManuelMiranda, people.
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Alma. Is she a realistic, flawed but ultimately good role model for the target audience, or is she a selfish jerk who doesn't care about her friends?

Added DiffLines:

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: People on /r/[=DanielTigerConspiracy=] tend to criticize "Alma the Artist" for this reason. Alma is supposed to be a friendly if impulsive little girl, and the intended Aesop was supposed to be "speak up," but this episode made her look like a gigantic a-hole instead. First off, she didn't thank Mr. Huda for choosing her design to be on the mural. Next, she gets upset with Andre just for adding polka dots and spaceships to the mural. Then, she makes him go on an 'errand' so she can erase his designs. And finally, she was very ungrateful when Andre bought her a brownie instead of a muffin. In the end, Andre is forced to remove his additions to the mural.

* AssPull: The end of "Bomba or Baseball" can come off as this. Alma and Eddie decide to participate in the Bomba recital rather than go to the baseball game, then it turns out that the Bomba recital ''was the opening'' for the game -- something Uncle Nestor never bothered to tell them.

** The conflict of "Alma's Nochebuena" is that no one has an extension cord to light up the animal lights, including Rafia's family. But at the end of the episode, the Hudas conveniently arrive with all the extension cords from their apartment, which they didn't have in stock at the store.
