* SugarWiki/DevelopmentHeaven: The animators from Creator/PipelineStudios actually visited the Bronx to get a feel for the setting they would recreate in cartoon form. The end result is a very detailed, accurate setting with icons like the Number 6 train. In regards to Eddie, who has cerebral palsy, the series' medical advisers actually wrote up a two-page medical chart for him.

* AlternateAesopInterpretation: The moral of "Alma the Artist" is supposed to be "speak up," but it can also be interpreted as "ask for people's permission to change things" or "you must stifle your creativity in order to please the majority."

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: People on /r/[=DanielTigerConspiracy=] tend to criticize "Alma the Artist" for this reason. Alma is supposed to be a friendly if impulsive little girl, and the intended Aesop was supposed to be "speak up," but this episode made her look like a gigantic a-hole instead. First off, she didn't thank Mr. Huda for choosing her design to be on the mural. Next, she gets upset with Andre just for adding polka dots and spaceships to the mural. Then, she makes him go on an 'errand' so she can erase his designs. And finally, she was very ungrateful when Andre bought her a brownie instead of a muffin. In the end, Andre is forced to remove his additions to the mural.
