* Creator'sPet: Super-smart Olive rarely got any comeuppance whenever she acted out.

* AwardSnub: Averted. While it only recieved one nomination at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards (Jake Short for Favorite TV Actor), he won against quite modest competition (He faced [[ModernFamily Ty Burrell]] and Tim Allen, two middle-aged actors, and Alex Heartman of the male-targeted PowerRangers -- and with the [=KCAs=] being heavily female-skewed, his odds were slim, at best). Favorite Show and Actress are maybe year or two down the road, but Favorite Sidekick should have been Creator/SierraMcCormick for Olive. Who got nominated? Jennifer Stone, Jerry Trainor, Nathan Kress and Jennette [=McCurdy=] (who won for the 2nd time in a row). Really? Three sidekicks from the same show? A show that the main protaganist seems the be the true sidekick to [[SpotlightStealingSquad Jennette McCurdy]]. It was as if NICK paved the way for her win by not putting anyone who posed a threat. Adding Gibby to the mix would've made much more sense, but he could've beat Jennette. YMMV on Sierra winning it, but she definitely deserved recognition.

Further interesting as it's a case of this trope ''before'' the episode actually aired.

* TheScrappy: Gibson frequently draws complaints of being [[OneOfTheKids an annoying man-child]], which also applies to Zoltan (albeit to a lesser degree).

On the other hand it's also revealed she didn't love Fletcher after all. ]]

** Angus has been turning into one, due to his FatBastard traits and being used as an outlet for fat jokes. The fact that he's [[AscendedExtra replaced]] the far more likable [[PutOnABus Cameron]] [[ReplacementScrappy doesn't help.]] He's also a borderline CreatorsPet. No one ever calls him out for being rude, he gets away with being a jerk, and now in the newest episode he is related to royalty.

Plus, her assumed name is just a mashup of two presidents' (JFK and Martin Van Buren) last names.]]
