** Seraphina was originally slated to be one of the Seven Arknza. Had ''Sarah Kestler Isn’t Dead'' continued, her character would have come to terms with her Arknangel status and fused with Sarah Kestler, becoming "Sarah Seraphina Kestler": the Arknza described in the prophecy as "a daughter sent to hell". After the character's writer and creator left the franchise, however, Seraphina was written out of the Arknthology (with the [[HandWave explanation]] that "Seraphina was never specifically mentioned by name").

*** Another, far less humorous idea was also proposed: the Carver would start the battle by destroying .Reality with a [[BadassFingerSnap finger snap]], declaring, "No distractions."
* Several possible ideas were proposed for Raziel's death:

** ''The Journals of Redgrave'', an blog telling the life story of (who else?) Persophelus Redgrave. While the blog never materialized, Redgrave's story ''was'' told (in a much abbreviated form) in a chapter of the revived ''Arknthology Stories''.

* Another of Malek's shards was planned to be revealed in a series that never came to be, ''[=TheDestinyProject=]''. The series would have crossed over with all four of the Paradox Player's series, and would also have introduced "Scholar" (a beta version of [[WebOriginal/ArknLegacy Franz Faust]]) into the Arknthology, as well as the ''Legacy'' character Marchosias.

** Ellpagg was going to be a traditional Arknza (i.e. a Hethe-blooded Arkn fused with a human counterpart). In a variation of one of the original concepts for ''The Knight Shift'' (see below), [=DeathlyLogic=] had planned to make the Adam Spirit version of The Hooks Killer Ellpagg's human half. He revealed that their Arknza name would have been Adama'ntim Ell'epagi Spirit (or "Adam Ellpagg Spirit"); Ellpagg would have completely consumed Hooks's personality (behaving much like [[spoiler: Carver-possessed Ellpagg]] did in ''Solar's Crimson''), and would have healed Hooks's scarred, torn throat (getting rid of his signature raspy voice in the process).
** Seraphina was originally slated to be one of the seven Arknza. Had ''Sarah Kestler Isn’t Dead'' continued, her character would have come to terms with her Arknangel status and fused with Sarah Kestler, becoming "Sarah Seraphina Kestler": the Arknza described in the prophecy as "a daughter sent to hell". After the character's writer and creator left the franchise, however, Seraphina was written out of the Arknthology (with the [[HandWave explanation]] that "Seraphina was never specifically mentioned by name").

* ''The Knight Shift: End Times'', the follow-up series to TKS, was originally planned for a two-season run. The series would have focused on Knight's connection to the Carver, as well as his growing corruption under the Carver's control; Season 1 would have ended with the conclusion of the Arkn Civil War (and Raziel's murder at the hands of Ellpagg), while Season 2 would have built up to the FinalBattle. Ellpagg (who spent much of his time in .Reality in TheFifties observing the Kestler family) would have sported a [[GreaserDelinquents Greaser]]-inspired look (complete with slicked-back hair, a leather jacket and an affinity for Classic Rock music), while IF (a Carver FanBoy) would have taken an alternate version of Luke Anton (also played by Zayne V.) for a vessel -- who dressed and acted like [[TheWalkingDead Negan]] and carried a baseball bat. The vlog was teased in an episode of ''Michael’s Camera'' [[note]]“Not that great of a situation”[[/note]], in which Ellpagg informs Azrael, “I have to go guard a whiny bitch”. ** Viewers expressed interest in a SpinOff (or SpiritualSuccessor) to ''Solar's Crimson'' revolving around [[EnsembleDarkhorse "Spooky Michael"]] (the creepy, rabbit mask-wearing version of Michael that Michaelis encounters in the Infernous in ''Michael's Camera''). [=DeathlyLogic=] showed interest in the project, and even posted a teaser [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/140075325230/might-as-well-reveal-this-since-i-figured-most-of image]]. Nothing ever came of it, however.

** Their divine status originally had a much greater significance, and they were conceived as representing very different aspects: Xerex Storn was the God of Death, Murder, and Frogs; Barith Storn was the Goddess of Nature, Life, and "the sound rain makes when it hits stone". Eris Storn was the God of Humanity, Choice, and "very very sharp objects". (There were also going to be three of them, rather than four.)
** It was originally proposed that the Storn would be [[EvilCounterpart dark counterparts]] to the Paradox Players. There were plans for them to take possession of Cain Spirit (a.k.a. [=Medboy456=]), "Spooky Michael", ''[=Starving4Truth=]'''s murderous version of Alex Winter, and Azazel to form the "anti-Arknza". The plot was quickly scrapped after [=Type0Negative=] cancelled [=Starving4Truth=].
*** As part of that plot, Azrael (the original Azrael, as seen in ''No More Truths'') and Xerex Storn were going to be one and the same. This is still evident in "The Quest" chapter of NMT, in which Azrael identifies himself as a Storn (noting that there are "three others and myself, Xerex") and calls he Storn "Arkn gods", describing the Arknangels as their counterparts or "kin". When the Arknza vs Storn plot was canned, Azrael was [[RetCon retconned]] into Gynesis's son and an Arknza[[note]]from whom Azrael Michaelis Winter takes his name[[/note]]. At that point, it was too late to remove and re-write the chapter from NMT, so it was left intact.

This number was later expanded to four, to mirror the four most well-known Archangels of Christian theology ([[ArchangelMichael Michael]], [[ArchangelGabriel Gabriel]], [[ArchangelRaphael Raphael]], and [[ArchangelUriel Uriel]]). That number was ''further'' expanded to [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Archangels seven]], to echo the grouping from the Book of Enoch (which, incidentally, is one of the books that also mentions the {{Nephilim}}).

* WebVideo/TheKnightShift went through a number of conceptual changes during its planning and production:
** The earliest idea for the series was a straightforward HauntedHouse story, completely unrelated to the Arkn Mythos. The series’ ThemeSong, “Sweet Dreams Are Made of This”, was specifically chosen because the lyrics “Some of them want to use you” and “Some of them want to abuse you” invoke themes of ghostly possession and torment.
** Another pre-Arknverse treatment had the series set in the universe of the CreepyPasta [[http://jjtninja.deviantart.com/gallery/49069075/Seven-Days-Creepypasta “Seven Days”]]. In this version of the story, Knight would have been an ordinary person ensnared by [[BigBad The Sender]]. [=JJTNinja=], the author of “Seven Days”, had befriended [=DeathlyLogic=] and had actually agreed to the crossover before DL decided to take the series in a different direction.
** The Infernous/House was originally going to be called "The Dragon’s Den", to tie into [[FairytaleMotifs the series' protagonist being “Knight”]]. (This concept was retained in the series’ first episode, which is called “Into the Dragon’s Den”.)
** After the series was reworked to fit into the Arkn Mythos, it was initially going to be a stand-alone vlog telling the story of the Hooks Killer’s Guardian Arkn. The original ending had Knight (who at the time [[KnownOnlyByTheirNickname had no real name]]) escaping from the Infernous and returning to life, only to look in a mirror and discover that he’s wearing the Hooks Killer’s mask. While writing the final act, however, [=DeathlyLogic=] decided to name the series's protagonist Ellpagg (after [[ProductionThrowback the protagonist of GlassBeetles, "LPAG"]]) and made him the son of King Uriel. He also wrote in a number of [[ContinuityNod references to the Arknangels and their whereabouts]], establishing the series as part of the Arknthology. Some hints of the original concept remain in the series, however, such as Ellpagg's "evil" voice sounding like the Hooks Killer and the final sequence of "Ephellogue" (in which Ellpagg encounters an evil version of himself in a mirror who looks and sounds like Hooks).
** An early [[https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/thearknmythos/images/e/e7/Knight_Shift_Finale_Teaser.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/800?cb=20150203045650 teaser image]] for the finale of TKS (created when the final episodes were still in the planning stage) reveals a number of discarded concepts. Ellpagg was going to be one of three Arknza (rather than four or seven), and his damnation was a [[HumanSacrifice sacrifice]] made to [[TakeMeInstead secure the safety of mankind]] (and a step up from outright execution).
*** It’s worth noting that the name of the Lord Dekn Master “X’anthr’estral” is very similar to Gilgamesh’s surname, Xeth’i’stral. It’s possible that the name was tweaked and re-used for Gilgamesh.
* [=DeathlyLogic=] planned to release a series of "breather" chapters in ''Arknthology Stories'' focusing on Ellpagg's first time in .Reality after leaving the Infernous (immediately before coming into contact with Michael). The stories would have featured Ellpagg "unwinding" in a .timeline set in the 1980s (picking up the slang and culture of the era -- particularly the music), and would have expounded on the connection between Ellpagg and Adam Spirit.
* ''The Knight Shift: End Times'', the follow-up series to TKS, was planned for a two-season run. The series would have focused on Knight's connection to the Carver, as well as his growing corruption under the Carver's control; Season 1 would have ended with the conclusion of the Arkn Civil War (and Raziel's murder at the hands of Ellpagg), while Season 2 would have paved the way for his role in the FinalBattle. [=DeathlyLogic=] promised that the series would feature "a power struggle, many fights, and a major death" (presumably the aforementioned murder of Raziel). He also teased that the Hethe would be involved in some capacity, that Ellpagg would suffer worse than he had in TKS, and that by the end viewers would hate Ellpagg so much that "you won't even want to ''spit'' in his direction". Filming [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/153141285125/filming-for-knight-shift-endtimes-begins-this-week began]] the week of November 13, 2016; a number of [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/153585583960/there-is-nothing-in-existence-that-can-harm-me-i teaser]] [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/153585401795/you-have-potential-i-see-it-deebo-sees images]] [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/154130717890/i-fuckin-love-endtimes-ellpaggs-new-costume were]] [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/157967090875/welcome-to-the-end-3517 posted]], as well as a video ("A Message to the King", in which Knight threatens Uriel and tears off his shirt to reveal [[https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/39/88/3b/39883b7a5acc6893f0edd53046eaf3a9.gif corruption]] spreading across his chest in the form of blackened veins). Production was halted after [=FeralWasteland=] and [=Type0Negative=] left the Mythos in December, as [=DeathlyLogic=] found it impossible (and felt "wrong") to continue the story of the Arknthology in the absence of two of its biggest creators.
** The series was revived in the spring of 2017 after [=DL=], [=T0N=], and [=FW=] reconciled. A [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZtqT2A55kA&index=1&list=PLaP5eiu9cuMrM5zUwJJXJbv9sIMbNYS3r teaser trailer]] went up on March 4, with the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7VaYNcyZtw first episode]] posted four days later. Before a follow up episode could be posted, however, the series was cancelled again (this time for good) when the trio of creators once again fell out.
** The second episode of the series would have featured a fight between the Carver and Persophelus Redgrave, during which Redgrave (in a monologue authored by [[http://penthepoet.tumblr.com/ Penthepoet]] -- a long-time fan of the franchise) would [[https://pastebin.com/9ErkKAvb reveal]] that the Arkn interfering in the lives of humans in .Reality was causing the system to break down.
** Ellpagg would also have discovered that his {{Guyliner}} is a [[MarkOfTheBeast side effect]] of the Carver possessing him. There was a planned scene where Ellpagg (in the aftermath of his first possession "episode") tries desperately to remove the "makeup", realizes it won't come off, and magically [[EyeScream burns his eyes]] just so they will heal over without it (much to the annoyance of the Carver).

* Michael Knight was going to have a twin sister, Aralia Knight, who would have appeared in Act III (then called "Severance") of ''Michael’s Camera''. She would have been a Arknangel, SeparatedAtBirth from Michael (then believed to be an Arknangel himself) and raised in captivity as a hybrid under the number "566". Her role was eventually filled by Michaelis.
* The Paradox Players were originally going to have dark counterparts in the Storn (who would have taken possession of [=Medboy456=], "Spooky Michael", ''[=Starving4Truth=]'''s [[EvilCounterpart version]] of Alex Winter, and Azazel to form the "anti-Arknza"). The plot was quickly scrapped after [=Type0Negative=] cancelled [=Starving4Truth=].
** As part of that plot, Azrael (the original Azrael, as seen in ''No More Truths'') and Xerex Storn were going to be one and the same. This is evident in "The Quest" chapter of NMT, in which Azrael identifies himself as a Storn (noting that there are "three others and myself, Xerex") and calls the Storn "Arkn gods", describing the Arknangels as their counterparts or "kin". When the Arknza vs Storn plot was canned, Azrael was [[RetCon retconned]] into Gynesis's son and an Arknza[[note]]from whom Azrael Michaelis Winter takes his name[[/note]]. At that point, it was too late to remove and re-write the chapter from NMT, so it was left intact.
*** After the retcon went into effect, [=DeathlyLogic=] planned to introduce a chapter where Azrael dies while once again defending Cedric's group from the Carver. The chapter was never completed, but Azrael's death at the Carver's hands is still considered canon.

* Speaking of the GrandFinale, several ideas were proposed for it:
** Originally, it was going to be a live-action MassiveMultiPlayerCrossover. Among other things, it would have featured Legion and Asmodeus joining the Carver's forces and Deebo revealing that he was aware of the existence of other worlds and realities (accompanied by clips from various web series, including several well-known [[TheSlenderManMythos Slenderverse]] vlogs). It was also considered having De’ebo mention [[FourthWallObserver a world where he's a fictional character]] (or rather, "a world where [[OhCrap they think they created me as a work of fiction]]").

* The figure in the mask in Dr. Ellis’s office in [=ACryFromWinter=] was originally going to be an integral character who saves Alex from The Path.
* [=Type0Negative=] was set to write [[http://thearknmythos.wikia.com/wiki/The_Broken_Crown_Saga The Broken Crown Saga]]: an anthology of blogs relating stories of the Arknza, Uriel's convergence with Alex, and Uriel's quest to find the [[MacGuffin Blank Canvas]]. There were to be three blogs; the first two installments ("In the Wake of the Broken Crown" and "In the Court of the Traveling Crown") began publication, posting one and three entries, respectively, before [=Type0Negative=] deleted them (as per his departure from the franchise). While [[http://davidlikestofilm.tumblr.com/post/153845214788/1-traveler-in-the-storm many]] [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/151534109365/2-dream-weaver of]][[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/151770528920/3-within-the-scope-of-reality the]] entries can still be read (in reblogged form), the third blog ("In the Shadows of the Broken Crown") never materialized.
* The finale of ''handprintsofthedead'' was going to be followed up by a ShortFilm called "Redgod", intended to wrap up the story of the Hooks Killer. The film was [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/139577462640/handprints-redgod announced]] in February 2016, with filming set to begin later that month and a proposed release date of November 2016. For whatever reason, the series never materialized. However, [=DeathlyLogic=] has stated that he intends to bring back Hooks in a stand-alone (non-Arknverse) project.
** In a variation of one of the original concepts for ''The Knight Shift'', [=DeathlyLogic=] had planned at one time to make Hooks the Guarded Human of Ellpagg. There was even talk of making him the human half of Ellpagg's "fused" Arknangel self; their Arknza name would have been Adama'ntim Ell'epagi Spirit (Adam Ellpagg Spirit).
* Edgar Kharon was originally going to be (true to legend) a [[GodOfHumanOrigin human-turned-Hethe]] who "fell" and lost his immortality. Azrael (''Michael Camera'' [[NamesTheSame Azrael]], that is) was going to be a Uriel-style human "counterpart" to Edgar, created in .Reality just prior to his death. At some point, however, [=DeathlyLogic=] [[RetCon retconned]] Azrael into an original character who had merely [[LegacyCharacter adopted the identity]] of Edgar Kharon under the mistaken belief that he was Kharon’s reincarnation.

** Viewers expressed interest in a SpinOff revolving around [[EnsembleDarkhorse "Spooky Michael"]] (the creepy, rabbit mask-wearing version of Michael that Michaelis encounters in the Infernous in ''Michael's Camera''). [=DeathlyLogic=] showed interest in the project, and even posted a teaser [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/140075325230/might-as-well-reveal-this-since-i-figured-most-of image]]. Nothing ever came of it, however.
