* A "Horde mode" was planned as a secondary mode, acting as a survival game. The player could've had access to some weapons, being able to upgrade them through the waves until the final boss. Despite Tagey scrapping the idea, the concept might be repurposed for another game.
* A "Grab Bag" mode was also considered, acting as a randomized custom night. The mode would've also included random singular nights, which was kept in the base game.

* A lot of the characters used for The End had different designs, on top of also having different gimmicks as well. For example Trojan was initially supposed to be a shell that would've broke apart to reveal his finalized design.
* The Retina was planned to have a redesign, but Tagey liked the current one more, so it got unused at the end.
* Similarly, The Glitch also had an unused design, that would've appeared in the Night 3 intro segment after pressing "Get Help".
* The Glitch had binary codes during his jumpscare, which translated would've said "FIND THE KEY". This was initially meant to be a secret, but was later turned into a normal part of the game during Night 3.

When it was still called Death Melody, Tagey had plans on utilizing a radio as a way of surviving, but was replaced in favor of the flute. Due to the games being developed for a long time, Tagey had multiple ideas that eventually never came to be. These unused/scrapped ideas are avaible in their respective Extra pages in the games, but for semplicity they will also be written here too.
* Chapter 1:
** The game initially utilized the subtitle "Fear" and later on "Death Melody", being only a short game featuring 5 nights and a custom night before getting the now known name of Cabin Fever. When it was still called Death Melody, Tagey had plans on utilizing a radio as a way of surviving, but was replaced in favor of the flute.
** There was an achievement system, but was later entirely replaced to only include trophies instead.
** A supposed "Factory Mode" was planned to be part of the game, with Geno being the only enemy to avoid.
** Goombella and Koops from Videogame/PaperMario were planned to be part of the game, alongside a one-eyed King Boo.
*** Eventually these two ended up being RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap, as the Factory Mode and the unused characters will be merged as a step for the Crossgame quest.
** Cabin Wario and Cabin Luigi initially had different designs, with the former having his spine visible on top of having a skeletal leg and the latter having his eyes pop out. There's also an unused render of Cabin Mario without a ruined arm.
* [=Chapter 2/The End=]
** A lot of the characters used for The End had different designs, on top of also having different gimmicks as well. For example Trojan was initially supposed to be a shell that would've broke apart to reveal his finalized design.
** The Retina was planned to have a redesign, but Tagey liked the current design more, so it got unused at the end.
** Similarly, The Glitch also had an unused design, that would've appeared in the Night 3 intro segment after pressing "Get Help".
** The Glitch had binary codes during his jumpscare, which translated would've said "FIND THE KEY". This was initially meant to be a secret, but was later turned into a normal part of the game during Night 3.

** For Standard mode "Team Works" challenge, Carlos would've hold Katie music sheets, while her would've utilized the Five Nights at Wario's 2 generator in her room. This was replaced for balacing concerns.
** A bonus game like the first game was initially planned, inspired by Videogame/LuigisMansion, where Carlos would've had to capture the ghost of Wario and his friends.
