Now, if he's to have any chance of saving his friend, Krypto must learn to work with a rag-tag band of newly empowered shelter pets led by Ace (Creator/KevinHart).

* GreenRocks: Kryptonite plays a prominent role in the plot, naturally being experimented on by Lex. Lulu was his guinea pig, natch, for different variations. She lost all her fur from red kryptonite, while purple kryptonite gave her vivid dreams. Lex's plan is to empower himself with a shard of orange krypronite, which fails because Lulu is the only one to realize that that only gives superpowers to animals.

* TakeCareOfTheKids: Krypto ask Ace, near the end, to "Take care of Supes for me", [[as Krypto is about to attempt a DangerousForbiddenTechnique]].

* KneelBeforeZod: When first confronting Superman, Lulu orders him so; despite she usually takes inspiration from Lex Luthor instead of Zod.

However, the true villain is Lulu, a super-intelligent Guinea Pig who was experimented on by Luthor before receiving an UnwantedRescue by Superman and Krypto. Her goal is to use the orange kryptonite to empower herself and free Luthor from prison. [[spoiler:After Lex Luther betrays her Lulu instead tries to kill Lex along with the Justice League and take over the World herself.]]
