* BrokenAesop: Jonathan's principal tells him that he should be patient with his bully Melvin because he has problems, and that if he took the time they could become friends. While this naturally foreshadows his relationship with Damian, the film treats Melvin as a ButtMonkey without giving him redeeming qualities. The message also falls apart because Damian genuinely wants to have friends meaning there's layers underneath his arrogance and rudeness, while Melvin simply likes to pick on Jonathan while never expressing any remorse. This is despite this apparently being the main theme the creators of the film were going for.
