* ArtEvolution: Chris' earlier animations had a more sketchy, comic-book artstyle with thick lines. At around 2009 he began transitioning to his current refined style. While most of his pre-2009 material is exclusive to Newgrounds, the evolution can be seen pretty clearly between ''Pleasure Island 1'' and ''2''.

* ''Meth Orcs'' (2021-present): Orc warrior Trestog goes on an epic fantastical quest...for meth.

* HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood: Billy's dad in "Razor Blades" drunkenly smashes a beer bottle across his face, only to shout "someone glassed Billy!" once he saw his face. His parents simply bandage up his face (his ''entire'' face, leaving him blind) and drop him off at summer camp. This may sound awful, but it wraps right back around to hilarious when Billy rips off his bandages and reveals the glassing somehow made him ridiculously handsome, a la [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Handsome Squidward]].

* VillainProtagonist: The ''Pleasure Island'' trio as Manwhore Industries engage in grand theft, murder, illegal gambling and also run an organ harvesting operation. While Gooseman, Fernando and Randy weren't exactly heroic in ''Pleasure Island'', they were largely just trying to enjoy their vacation while defending themselves against Vera and Doctor Von Ironfist's creations.

* AnimatedMusicVideo: He has a ton of original songs, which range from predictably bawdy ("Rectal Computer") to surprisingly poignant ("Fill My Black Hole"). But still suggestive.

* AuthorAvatar: The channel's mascot (as shown above), who looks like a [[SelfDeprecation crazy-eyed greasy shut-in who never blinks]], is meant to be a self-insert of Voigt himself.
* DestructiveSavior: Ragemelon takes revenge on Black Stabbath for [[spoiler:killing a mother duck and her babies in front of Ragemelon]] by blowing him (and the club full of people he's in) with a mass of dynamite. When the Police Chief expresses dismay at the casualties, Ragemelon insists there "was no other way!"

* MadScientist: Doctor Von Ironfist, secondary antagonist of ''Pleasure Island'', is a parody of one who splices together random creatures into monstrosities, which range from the completely ineffective (the "man-beetle-eel" with 10 tiger spleens, educated with pictures of him in a dress that he then gave herpes somehow, predictably falls immediately to Gooseman) to surprisingly dangerous (the "crab walrus", which is able to fight [[SuperStrength Gooseman]] to near victory).
* ReallyGetsAround: Fernando may be ''the'' Manwhore, but it's shown that Randy and Gooseman get plenty of action as well.

* UnstoppableRage: Ragemelon's whole raison d'etre.
