[[WMG: Mary's powers and past.]]
* It is implied that something happened in the past that made her give up being a superhero and being a Marvel. in the comics mary only had her powers because her twin brother Billy got them however the price of that was his powers were halved whenever she transformed. It is possible they were not aware of that until something happened that nearly killed him as how often does someone come along powerful enough to Challenge ([[PhysicalGod Captain Marvel]]) at full power so instead she searched for another source of power for her abilities namely the Leylines and yet it is clear she is extremely weak compared to her former self.

[{WMG: Each arc will have a major death]]

Young Justice ''Phantoms'' and all. Phantoms are ghosts, and that means death. Conner is just the first, and the question of revival that hangs over his head will follow the others who die as well. As to who dies...

''Artemis Arc''

* Cheshire: The long tenured assassin has a few death flags floating around her: she's already been declared as 'wanting to die' by Sensei, the set up with her past with Artemis and her current actions can easily set up a death by redemption, and depending on how Damian Wayne is being set up she would have to be silenced to not go and say 'hey, tell Batman that Talia has their son and the kid will need therapy'.
* Artemis: ''Especially'' if Conner is being revived and the method is not just for him per the comics reviving other Original Team members isn't impossible.

''Zatanna Arc''

* Zatara: Season 4's taken to expanding on plot points raised by Season 3 that were not heavily focused on in favor of the main narrative thread of the two Outsiders teams (the one akin to the one in the comics and the team named the Outsiders), and one of those threads is the Zatara scene where he's aged pretty rapidly. Rapid aging that could catch up to him and put the Helmet of Fate back into circulation, something that could very well be why there is a 'war' where Klarion's being pretty active.
* Zatanna: Following on the Conner and Artemis death idea.

[[WMG: Artemis's or Cheshire's terrible childhood will involve sexual abuse]]

The final book referenced by the titles of Artemis's arc is ''Literature/IKnowWhyTheCagedBirdSings'', which has that as a plot point. Given the emphasis on how terrible Sportsmaster and associates can be, abusive parents, and how Megan's arc made our favorite Martian's comments about siblings come off as ''a lot'' more serious and depressing, it is possible that ''Bereft'' and its lines about it being like Artemis's dad to undress and redress her while she's sleeping be ''a lot more fucked up'' than it already was. This line recontexting would work for the intended 'Sportsmaster is the worst person in the series'' idea even if the main victim was Cheshire.

* Onyx is a true defector and Cassandra the fake (as with the comics)
* Cassandra is a true defector and Onyx the fake (per set up so far)
* Both are fake defectors
* Both are legitimate defectors
* Mind control is an extra layer to the above mess (one or both think they are legit defectors but with a phrase like 'Broken Arrow' they become Shadows again).

[[WMG: There are other Legionnaires groups in the other arcs]]

With focus shifted off Mars we might not get many threads on that plot from the trio of Saturn, Phantom, and Chameleon, but there is nothing but ''more'' legion members to draw from. Notably in this question is the use of tranq darts on Arrowette. There was no reason to not use a bullet and that shooter seemed to be the only one using them versus swords or guns. Not killing Arrowette was odd...unless you were a time traveler and on their side who, say, impersonated a shadow.

[[WMG: Episode spelling: Invitation X]]

As of the second arc we have the letters that spell out I N V I T A T and I, with a O and N likely after that. The question is, what is the invitation for?

(Some combination of 14 letters)

To join the Light?

* One of the biggest criticisms the show has is that someone, often a member of the Batfamily, starts manipulating the other heroes, keeping secrets and doing morally grey things in the name of an ill-defined greater good. Someone else calls them out, they say sorry ([[TheUnapologetic they are not really sorry]]) and do it all over again in the next season. So it would be fitting for a season called Phantoms to bring back what is considered Batman's greatest failure and flip the script on them, Jason, as shown in both the comics and Under the Red Hood, is quite Machiavellian when he sets out to do something, planning numerous scenarios that put even Batman on a corner and he always insists that it's for a greater good that the other members of the family cannot achieve because of their "antiquated sense of morality". But simply pitting him against Batman would just be repeating the events of Unde the Red Hood and, as the newest comic book Robin shows, Batman wasn't the only one who failed the other Robins, Dick also had his share of failures, ''especially'' when it comes to Jason making for an interesting emotional fight. Of course, if it was just Jason vs Dick, Tim, Stephanie and Cassandra it would turn into a curbstomp fairly quickly so he would likely have the aid of the League of Shadows, specifically Ra's who may want to test either Batman or who is truly Batman's best heir.
