** Well, the last part can't happen now that (MAJOR SPOILER) [[spoiler: Shun is dead]], but the rest isn't entirely unconfirmed yet.

* Maybe TheRunaway son to Tenshin Otori or perhaps a lost nephew. Doesn't take XB seriously because he ends up tapping into TheDarkSide and unlocks his SuperpoweredEvilSide, which is why Tenshin and Ojiro have RedEyesTakeWarning.

* This troper thinks it's pretty obvious as of episode 2. It was stated that Shun used to be more competitive/violent in the past. My headcanon is that Shun loved the adrenaline rush that playing XB gave him, but after an incident he stopped being as competitive. He's using coffee as his replacement for adrenaline. He still likes the game but he plans to quit soon, which is why he gave Haru his bat. There's also the fact that he doesn't take training as seriously as the others. By the last episode, he'll leave the gang and Haru will take his place.
